My sister went recently and had a great experience and I had to try it myself. I came closer to closing around 3pm so most of the bakery items were almost sold out. I was lucky to have snagged the last 2 almond croissants - probably my new favorite. It was the perfect bake plus the texture, crunch and filling was on point. I didn't even have to warm it up! I ordered the turkey sandwich and it was delicious. It was made beautifully and the combo of flavors is exactly what you expect. I have to come and try the BLT and all the other sammies, toast and salads. Their latte was also good. I need to try their cortado as well! The service was great - super friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming earlier during the day to see the other bakery options! Street metered parking was easy during the time I went on a Monday. It was clean and plenty of seating.

Welcoming, clean and beachy/modern aesthetic without a "try hard" feel. I was greeted right away with a friendly smile and great music from above. Thank you Kevin for the sandwich suggestion and help with my personal inquiry on my morning flight - navigating LAX. The ordered The Veggie on Sourdough, with turkey added. I wanted something fresh, crisp, and filling, and this hit all the marks . I love that the sandwich wasn't drowning in sprouts or aioli! Many places tend to lean heavy on sauces or filler ingredients. This place felt like they took the intention to balance the amount of each ingredient to compliment the bite! I will be coming back. Thanks again!

I usually come here for bread. It's either here or a place on Larchmont. I don't know which one is better. They're both good in their own ways. But the last time I was here, I was stuck on a work call so I gave my friend my card and had him order. He picked up a cinnamon roll. If you've never seen the cinnamon roll here before, it is massive. I've looked at it on many occasions but always decided against it. But he got it and then I tried some and was absolutely blown away by how good it is. My friend used to manage restaurants back in the day, so he's pretty familiar with food. He said this was the perfect cinnamon roll. Do I think it's perfect? I don't know. I haven't had a better cinnamon roll so probably. But then by calling it perfect, it closes the door for me to ever find one that is better. I think my friend is around 50, so he's lived out his food adventures, so I think him calling this the perfect cinnamon roll is appropriate for his food journey. But I still have hopes to one day find better. Anyway I got another cinnamon roll here today. It's still as amazing as it was last time and it's fun to get so much of the spread that goes onto the cinnamon roll on the side. Absolutely love this thing but I might need to stay away for the long term because sweets = weight gain haha. But we'll see if I can stick to just buying bread here... Oh I gotta ginger cookie here before and it was really good too. Everyone at the counter is nice and attentive but I've never actually dined in here, so I'm not too sure about the wait staff. The ambiance is nice here too with a little patio outside and a pretty decent sized eating area.

First time here and everything looked amazing. I tried the pastrami sandwich on their homemade sourdough--so good. The orange juice was fresh and perfectly balanced, not too sweet or sour. I loved the chai latte too, smooth and not overly sweet. Highly recommend the Wagyu pastry and cookies--they're not greasy or too buttery, just right. Pira was very kind and patient while I took my time deciding, and even offered to slice my loaf. Great service and nice interior as well. I'll definitely be back soon!

Pretty good bread with lots of chew. Smoked salmon was fresh and the right amount of cream cheese without going overboard. Matcha latte was ok, but more milky and matcha doesn't stand out too much so probs better for coffee here. Ample seating though. Comfortable with 2 restrooms.

One of the best bakeries in town for sure. Came with a friend for breakfast on a weekday and there was no wait for a table. We dined in, plus got a bunch of items to go. I tried: + Shakshuka + Cold brew + Oat Poppy Cookie + Kouign amann + Peach Morning Bun + Cinnamon roll + Apple Millet Cake + Avocado toast with over easy egg + Chocolate chip cookie The oat poppy cookie is a sleeper hit - one of the best and chewiest cookies ever. Kouign amann, avocado toast and chocolate chip cookie were my other favorites. Cinnamon roll is comically large and was a huge hit in the meeting I brought it to later. Apple Millet Cake and cold brew were also great. Shakshuka was the only miss - just kind of runny and off - it paled in comparison to the avo toast. The guy who helped us out at the register was super friendly!

Ok been here twice now and can say I am a fan. They are currently re-doing the outdoor dining area, it didn't affect my experience at all. It will be nice to have that option once finished. Inside is clean and fresh, nice big booths. Menu covers all the sandwich and salad greats- tuna, blt, caesar salad, just a few. Their bread is amazing. Do note however if you get something on a baguette, make sure you have solid strong chompers- the homemade sourdough is one sturdy loaf! I had the blt this time and it was sublime! Lightly toasted sliced sourdough. mayo, juicy tomato, top-notch crispy bacon, and lettuce in perfect ratios created a stellar sammie. BLTs are simple but hard to master. Lodge got it right with top quality components and that delicious sourdough. Companion is crazy for the vegan Caesar and I have to agree- it is top-notch. The croutons are so yum and the dressing is perfect- tart with a citrus punch. I washed it down with a mint lemonade and I have to say that was on-point too. Got a loaf to go, too. Why not? Love this place!

A good spot for pastries and good coffee. Order the shakshuka, some flat whites and pastries. Friendly staff and helpful servers. Not the most comfortable booths, but at least there is seating.

The food is good but it's gotten way too expensive. A salad plus their cost of living charge you're around $25, the sandwiches you're low 20's and even a croissant is around $8. Have been to a lot of similar places and they cost is 15-20% more at least(plus their cost of living charge)

We went on a Saturday morning and didn't have an issue finding parking. There were plenty of spots available right out front. I had the breakfast sandwich and coffee while my partner had the chocolate cake and a croissant. I thought the portions were generous and was surprised at the size of the breakfast sandwich, it was a large sandwich. Everything was good! The staff were friendly and personable and checked in with us to make sure everything was OK. It being a new restaurant, it has a new and clean vibe to it.

I just experienced what can only be described as a life-altering berry scone. Flaky. Buttery. Perfectly sweet. I'm not saying it changed me... but I'm not not saying that. And if that alone doesn't earn this bakery your loyalty -- they slice their own sourdough. Yes. They will cut it for you!!! And don't get me started on the cinnamon roll...

Though I've been here just once (for lunch), I am already plotting my return. I arrived a bit earlier than my friends and in so doing, accidentally avoided the start of the lunch rush. As there are not many tables here, I feel I lucked out snagging a table for us. As I took at the cozy, classy splendor of a still very new establishment, the relaxed but polished decor was both inspiring and low-key. I had an excellent espresso while I got my wish: extended time to take in the menus. The drink menu, and the food menu. It's my favorite when that part of the cafe/restaurant experience delivers tons of time to get really acquainted with a place. Our friendly, helpful server asked the questions I had about the menu, and the time he didn't know he went and found out. Breakfast is served all day, by the way. My friend started with the sausage rolls (accompanied by the freshly made ketchup). Delicious and great for a table starter or a fairly light entree. Good crunch, and moist inside with plenty of seasoning. My entree was the black forest ham quiche. It was indicative of everything else here: the right size, the right mix of produce, protein, fluffy, cheesy egg inside, and anchored by a subtle but first-rate crust. It's served with a fennel based salad, a crisp and a great complement. We were happy and satisfied sooner than expected (alas, Le Moules must wait). Still, I could not resist a little dessert and ordered the Pain Aux Apricot. It was fantastic, something out of a cafe in Paris. Crisp and light and just sweet enough. Appreciated the friendly service. A steady diet of 70's soft-rock quietly served as the soundtrack at this one lunch. There is easily accessible parking on the street or mostly-free city lot.

Ordered the mixed berry pie (blackberries, raspberries, and one other which I can't recall). Sooooo incredibly delicious. Thought it would be overwhelmingly sweet but it really wasn't. Had it with a cappuccino which was perfect. They also had cherry, apple, and banoffe cream, and I believe a few other seasonal options. But have to say I didn't regret my choice. They also have savory pies including chicken and leek, and beer pies. Was a bit full from lunch but would love to try these at some point. Additionally, they also had some lunch and dinner entrees. Overall super cute and cozy place to sit and enjoy some tea/coffee with a pie. Love the vibe. And the service was also exceptional. Definitely coming back soon.

The savory and sweet food is SO GOOD!! The service is better than any other local places, and very low-pressure. I say all of this from the perspective of someone who has worked alongside Physics PhD researchers and about five different Michelin-starred chefs. First of all, for how tucked-away Sweet Angeles is, this cafe/small restaurant felt like a hidden gem! They have FILET MIGNON on a dinner menu??!! I must, must, MUST come back to try that!! Veronica, with her incredible tray of sweet samples, piqued my curiosity to enter Sweet Angeles, but "B" is definitely the person who convinced me to stay! As a coffee scientist (and perhaps snob? ) of decades, I had far, FAR too many annoying questions to ask, and "B" both tolerated and answered each of them with a degree of empathy that was top-notch and rarely found in LA nowadays. Really more of a Ritz-Carlton level of customer service than a cafe experience. The owners should be very proud of this. I only ordered a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese (and what they call "coffee"), but the sandwich was SO perfect! You'd be amazed by how many cafes screw up something with only three ingredients, but this was likely better than one I would make myself. The sweets are TRULY unique in their construction, presentation, texture, and flavor -- DO try the one with pistachio and raspberry, as well as the "Nutella one that's fluffy like a pillow" -- you WILL NOT be disappointed!! As I was leaving, "B" asked my honest 1-10 opinion of the cafe. I told her I'd give it a 9/10, which in Yelp-land amounts to a solid five stars. The few small things that are "off" or otherwise "wrong" about Sweet Angeles? They are listed below, but I remind you, EVERY business can always improve no matter how wonderful they are. #1 -- This one is bad for the owners, but GREAT for the customers! THE SAVORY FOOD PRICES ARE TOO LOW!! At a VERY over-rated Ukrainian cafe, I paid DOUBLE for a bagel/lox/cream cheese sandwich that was inedible, and Sweet Angeles still has to pay their Rodeo Drive rent prices! They could increase food prices significantly if they wanted. #2, 3, and 4 -- The espresso is overpriced (~$6 for a plain black shot), the machine is a budget touch-screen model (not commercial-grade), and the beans are over-roasted and generic. For context, a proper shot should be ~$4.50 max, and this was a one-button operation worth about the price of its paper cup. I'd expect this hospital/airport-quality to be priced ~$2.25-$3.25. That said, this is a BUSINESS OWNER decision and does NOT reflect the excellent warmth and service of the employees. I understand that Armenians have different tastes (compared to modern, specialty, or "3rd wave" Western palates) regarding coffee, and they have their own distinct methods of producing it. This was NOT Armenian-style coffee, which is something I would LOVE to see at a shop like this () -- single-served "Jazzve" coffees which take a couple of minutes to make, rather than the plastic "espresso machine" with the plastic hot water tubing and other parts. I want to reiterate that the food was FANTASTIC and actually under-priced, and the employees were extremely welcoming and very kind considering the endless questions I asked. If the manager or owners just so happen to read this 10-page essay, I want to say this... I would happily help you (possibly even for free) with: 1. finding proper coffee beans at an affordable price, 2. finding someone to buy the pretend espresso machine, 3. finding, buying, or financing a new (or lightly used) proper espresso machine, 4. buying a couple of high-quality grinders (very crucial), and 5. training on how to produce the basic espresso drinks in the way that local AND international customers have come to expect in this city, and I'd also be happy to teach latte art. AGAIN, I still give this place a 9 out of 10, because it's obviously a bakery before it's a coffee shop. When asked, I told "B" the shop's a 9/10, but the coffee was a 2/10, but I was being polite. The coffee was really and truly a 1/10. Maybe it tastes better with matcha, food coloring, and various milk products? Who knows. But if the owners/management want to make Sweet Angeles a 12 out of 10, and genuinely achieve excellence, they should feel very welcome to reply to this 5-star review and get in contact with me. Good coffee is often the difference between a business "just surviving" and truly winning the game. From the heart -- I wish you all the best, Sweet Angeles!

The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap.
