I can't hate on the Lodge, it's a solid spot. The staff is so nice and friendly, every single one of them. Dine-in service is always fast and friendly. Bartenders are excellent. It's clean, albeit a bit outdated, but the new deck area is great. It's one of the very limited restaurant options in the area. The bar is very cool and the draft beers are ice cold. I love the live edge wood. The food is okay, a little greasy but fine. They have lots of rotating specials which keeps options fresh. Kind of a charming little local spot, nothing special but no complaints whatsoever. read more

Went there Friday night for dinner, had the fish and chips that were good and a large portion, but the French fries were like pre cooked, dropped back in the grease, and plated as needed, also had another meal that came with fries but this looked like there were same way but dropped in grease a 3rd time, soggy and dirty looking ,could not eat them at all..other than that food was good and plentiful, reasonable priced.. so next time we'll just hold the fries read more

I used to love this restaurant. We used to love going on Sundays for family style chicken. The outdoor deck is nice to sit on when it's good weather. However, we got takeout a little while back and we're highly disappointed. When I went to go pick up the takeout the price was a little higher than what I expected, but I didn't question it and I paid it. When I got home, I really really thought about it so I called back and I asked why the price was so high we got two burgers and salads with the burgers so then the guy told me that I was charged for the side salads, so basically I paid for an additional side salad for each meal and then didn't get the side that came with the burger. Had I known that I would've just gotten the fries or at least got the fries with the salad as well because I'm paying for the fries that come with the dish. The extra price was never told to me when I ordered the food so I was very much quite disappointed. read more

I've been to the lodge probably about 20 times over the past 10 years, they have a decent American style menu good beer on tap in the wine. List is C+, everybody's always pleasant. The food is delicious no matter what you order off the menu, the establishment could use a makeover, but it is quite pleasant. I'm giving this place one star because our waitress was lovely and the onion soup was actually so so delicious but my meal was awful! I ordered the steak tops smothered in onion and mushroom. Picture this, you take steak tips out of a pack and slap it on a griddle, chop up some onions and mushrooms and slap those next to them. They cook and you serve it up and call it a restaurant meal. Visited before a trip to Twin Rivers. The staff was courteous and efficient. The menu was great and had plenty of offerings on the daily specials. We both got a seafood dish and the seafood tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. Great portion sizes for the price. read more

We drive by this place all the time so decided to try it for the first time on Saturday. I think everyone else had the same idea because the place was packed. We were told there was about a 30 minute wait which was true. Service was slow and the server wasn't very knowledgeable but she was very nice. The food was good and portions were solid. Stopped here with hubs while the kids were at Time Mission. This place is okay, but just that.. okay. We got a Caprese salad to share which was really good. Main dishes were just alright, my husband got the Cowboy burger which was just okay. I got the baked haddock and mashed but both weren't really flavorful. My wife and I were up northern Rl and stopped by The Lodge . We had been there around 8 times in the past 10 years . We were lucky to have a wonderful waitress Caroline who had a great personality and was very inventive. Her and the other waitress Jessica were very friendly and entertaining . We were lucky it was mid afternoon and they had just got over the lunch rush . Caroline was fantastic she was funny and always had or drink refills before we had to ask . She always had more chowder and clams for me and I didn't even have to ask. I would like to express to the cook that the chowder was one of the best I've ever had. Been going here to the Lodge for over forty years. Tonight I went in with my wife and had fish & chips. The plate was over-flowing with french fries--but the small piece of fish was less than half of what we usually get--and that's being kind with my statement. A few bites and it was gone. I left about all the french fries on the plate because I didn't have any fish to eat with them. I think the cook that thought that was a proper portion and our waitress who served it to me didn't care. The pictures of fish ansd chips shown in the posted pictures show a fish portion 4 or 5 times more than what came out on my plate. She never asked me how the meal was. Probably just as well. Keep it for your future customers--I will not be back. Worst rip-off since I came back to RI for the summer. I did leave my usual tip of over 20 per cent because I guess this is just the way the world is changing. but it's not my world. I used to have to wait up to a half hour for a table at The Lodge. We got here later tonight, but got right in and sat quickly. Our waitress took our drinks orders then came back out meal order. I had the prime rib (again!) and my husband had Chicken Vermont- a chicken cutlet with cheese and bacon with maple syrup. The aroma of the syrup was very pleasant, but hubs said it could have used a bit more. He had a salad and mashed potatoes, which were guaranteed to be from scratch. I had the most delicious prime rib, which could have been cooked a little more for my liking, but it cut like butter and was as delicious as I remembered. I too, had a salad, and a baked potato. We thought it was odd that no vegetable was offered. Although our waitress came by to check on us, we wished she stopped by again to refill our soda's. This is more of a reflection on the staff and not the food. I was there last Saturday and witnessed a very rude hostess!! She was very demeaning to the waitstaff and one woman in particular. After she was rude the woman could not take it anymore and I witnessed her give her work shirt to the bar person. From what i gathered from the other patrons there, the woman who was not treated very well was a very good waitress. I commend her for basically telling the establishment where to put there job by turning her work shirt in. No one should be treated like that . Cute place, tucked away in the woods. Ample parking, plenty of bar space, great salad bar and a decent menu. Prices are reasonable. We all had the soup and salad bar for 10.00. Everything was great. I like the lodge. Sometimes you just want to not always have something complicated, trendy, and requires an explanation on how to eat it. The Lodge is that place for me. It's really just comfort food that isn't expensive by any means. A must for me is the salad bar, food portions were generous, we usually always end up taking something back home with us. Although my husband & I have been dining here more years than I can remembe, after today's visit it may be our last. It was our favorite restaurant for fish & chips Today the "dinner size" order was $20 each. Quite a bit higher than many other restaurants. I had to ask our waitress if this really was the dinner size & not the luncheon size. I've never left there still hungry after having this meal but today was the exception. I can't imagine how much smaller the luncheon size could possibly been. And the chips had definitely stayed under warming lamps for way too long. Expressing our disappointment she offer to get us another piece of fish or something else. By now our meal was finished &?so we're we! We ventured here a couple weeks ago for my father in laws birthday dinner. It was a nice, low key place to avoid high traffic spots. We were sat with what only seemed like 2 other tables inside, and 2 outside. The decor reminds you of the ol country outdoors and it draped in mounted animals and outdated seating. It has a charming, relaxing homey feel which was a nice vibe. Our food took pretty long (45 min) considering there wernt many tables. All things considered it was pretty good. The nachos were good, the chilli was bland to me, but it was not lacking on other topings. My pop in law had the ribeye which was pretty good, but he did need to add salt (side note, he had the chicken soup to start which was WAYYYY over salted! We heard another table say the same thing to the waitress... guess it all went to the soup and not the steak.) Lil bro had chicken fingers and fries which he ate so they had to be good. And the misses went left and had the special lobster stuffed ravioli. She mentioned how good it was after it was gone and before she forgot she didn't offer me a bite. *le sigh* Over all it was a good experience, it was a bit cold inside so bring a jacket if you go! read more

The positives... The price is 16.99 for a lobster roll! That is pretty darn good! Also the food was ready as soon as we got there to pick it up. You could tell it was freshly ready and not sitting in the container long. All the staff seemed to be wearing masks and doing a good job with social distancing. The not so positives.... The lobster roll was very bleh... not bad but not good either. The fries were bleh as well and the stuffy was not much better. The food just had no wow factor at all. The only reason I would come back is literally for the price but I would be prepared to season the food myself. read more

very disappointed. This used to be a premium place. A month ago we ordered take out and when I got there at the reported time only one entree was ready. I was told a couple minutes but it was 30, so they clearly hadn't even started the second one. So one entree was warm when I got home. Neither entre were as good as years ago. But I can accept an "off" day. Then yesterday, both entres were not ready when they said they would be. Again they said a few minutes. 40 minutes later and still nothing so I went to ask. They went out back and came back and it was still a few more minutes. Now I understand being delayed when busy, but don't lie about it. We won't be back. read more

First the positives, huge parking lot for this size restaurant and it looks like a lodge & pub should look like in the woods of Lincoln. While the interior is a little dated it is fairly clean and comfortable. My guest and I were in the area for a quick lunch and decided to stop in. My guest had the lobster roll sandwich and fries. The sandwich lacked flavor and she thought the fries were terrible. I had the white clam chowder and clam cakes combo. Both were hot and okay. It's a cozy restaurant, and they have a popcorn machine that you can grab your own bowl and munch on it while you wait for a great cocktail! The nachos are very good, steak sandwiches are fantastic, pastrami sandwiches are tasty, huge burgers and very yummy, roasted half chicken is excellent and we can't forget the hand cut French fries!!!
