Horrible service and food. Chili has so Much cheese in it that it was all bound together. Nasty vegetables with the meals and mash potatoes were extremely dry. Ribs and fries were cold and the dice was so thick Like it came out of a bottle. Waitress dropped our food and never came back to the table until after we were done. I had the Mediterranean Pizza and it was hands down the worst pizza I have ever had. The pieces of chicken were dry and overcooked. There was barely any sun-dried tomatoes or I just couldn't taste them because, for some unearthly reason, they toasted cheese on top of the toppings as if they mistook the pizza for oven baked mac-n-cheese. The baby-back ribs my husband had were quite delicious though and I enjoyed the Hazy Rhapsody beer I ordered. The place was lively and had a fun vibe. Always our go-to place for lunch ! And on this last visit... we were both pleasantly surprised that our portion sizes went back up, for both our meals. The last couple meals we could tell sizes decreased some (it's understandable!), but the food is always delicious !!! But, with prices also increasing, the consumer may think twice about eating out. As others have said, this place is awesome! Lots of seating, indoors and out. The drinks were so tasty and good. The food is amazing! The jambalaya is spectacular, full of flavor and the seafood is not over cooked. The steak salad was good but the steak came well done, a little disappointed. Let me start by saying a really don't enjoy leaving one or two star reviews, but I'll do it when it really needs to happen! I was in town with some friends for a wedding weekend and was staying at an Airbnb near by. It was a Saturday night and we arrived at 8pm for our reservation knowing they didn't close until 9pm. We are a group who really enjoys beer and the reviews were pretty solid. The place wasn't very full, had a good number of patrons, but nowhere near full. There were four of us and the night started with them seating us at probably the smallest four person table they had. I asked the host if they could seat us at one of the many booths they had available, particularly because we had a reservation. They moved us. We ordered flights with the intention to order a pint and then growlers to go, as well as dinner. Our server checked on us a couple of times and we noticed towards the end of our meal, we hadn't seen her for about 20 minutes so at 9:01pm we called her over and asked to order a round and she said "we stop serving beer at 9:00pm". Two things immediately came to mind 1) why wasn't there a last call? You are a beer company, people come to drink beer! And 2) really, one minute? And you haven't checked on us in 20? We said okay, we'll order growlers to go and a dessert. She said, "oh I think the kitchen is closed, let me ask". The manager stopped her and asked what she was doing, it was clear that she told her she was going to ask if we could order a dessert and the manager said no. AGAIN, 9:01pm! We were beyond frustrated by this experience and not to mention we were the only POC in the place, not quite sure how that impacted our experience, but I'll chalk it up to their ill trained staff and horrible customer service. And to top it off, the food was mediocre. I probably won't be coming back to Lodi, so I don't have to worry about avoiding this place, but I do not recommend! read more

This place is awesome! I came on a Sunday with some friends after tasting a lot of wine at two other places. I had a blackberry martini which was super tasty, we also shared several appetizers that were super yummy! We had a cheesy pull apart bread, some brussels sprouts which were some of the best I've had in my life! We also had fried macaroni and cheese which was beyond delicious. There's a good local vibe.... they brew their own beer and make their own root beer. Staffers are generally busy because this place usually is. You'll often find large groups of parties here. That may be because of the laid back family style or the variety of choices in food and drink selection. Or maybe it's because of the decent prices. Everything I had here so far (salads, sandwiches, burgers, garlic fries, and bread pudding) has been yum. This place has been my go to for a fun time out. We came here Sun for an early dinner around 4pm. The place surprisingly wasn't crowded so we sat at a high top in the bar. I got a 23oz Hazy Rhapsody IPA $8 which was ice cold and delicious, and my husband got the 23oz Octoberfest $7.75, which he too enjoyed. We shared the delicious Cheese Loaf $16, an order of Brussel Sprouts $11, and Nachos $15 + Add Chicken $4.50 which were all yummy. I need to remember to ask for no chili flakes on the cheese loaf. We started out with a male server, then Cait took over. The male server was nice enough to actually stagger our food so it didn't all come out at once, but it made it rather difficult to finish the chicken nachos at the end, so we might want to rethink that next time. Cait did a good job checking on us from time to time. The women's bathroom was fairly clean and well stocked. I'm kind of surprised they have their hot water set at such a high temp, which could easily burn you if you're not careful. It's too bad they can't do anything about the darn bar stools not sitting level on the tile floor. You end up wobbling every time you shift your weight. read more

The more noteworthy thing though, was the serving size. I've probably been here at least a half dozen times, all as a pitstop whilst on a road trip. Spread out over 15 years though, so never got a review out. Another road trip recently got me to stop. I also had one of their growlers, so I conveniently filled it whilst having a meal. When they opened many years ago, they definitely had an ambitious mission on converting an older building (looks like an old bank) into a brewpub. They did a good job as it looks like an old western saloon turned brewpub. The beers always had a good reputation on my end, though you do have to taste around. Some I definitely like more than others. Now they have 3 or more IPA varieties, and back when they opened last decade, I'm sure that wasn't the case. On the last out I was really digging their Rye IPA, as it was nice and dry, which exposed the nice hops. I took a taste of their Double IPA, and that was too malty for me. I had them do my growler in the Rye as well, for a $16 refill, which is very reasonable. 1 growler is 4 pints of beer, just to put it in context. Tried a Grilled Beef Tenderloin Plate ($19/5*) and it totally hit the spot. Was almost going to do a burger, but when I noticed that being $15ish, and a beef filet dish for $4 more, I just had to go there. You will rarely see this anywhere else, if at all, TRUSS me. When the dish arrived, the first thing I thought was that it looked pretty cafeteria style. Ice cream scoop of mashed potato, steam table veggies and a steak covered in parsley. And yes, even though plate presentation is important, the taste is what really matters, and that is where this plate won me over. The mashed potato was well made, still slightly chunky to give it rustic appeal. Yea the carrots looked a little tired and wrinkled, but it tasted just fine, maybe even a touch of butter. But that only laid atop some roasted asparagus, and what was actually perfect. The steak, even though from the fillet portion of beef, was not cut in medallions like filet mignon. Instead it was the tail end which is thinner, so they kept it whole. Never seen that before, but I was totally fine with it. Then they grilled it perfectly, super nice char on the outside, without any burnt bits. Tender in the middle and cooked to specs, maybe a tad more medium than medium rare. But totally fine. Then this green topping that I thought was over done parsley, was actually a Chimichuri which was well received. Slight tang and very herbaceous with a strong thyme presence. Again taste trumping the visuals. Doesn't happen often, but will always take it when it does. Great steak meal with a great beer to boot. Gotta praise on the high side. read more

I have eaten at Lodi Beer Co a few times, and I always find myself bringing new friends here because it is always delicious. Everything I've ever gotten here has been very satisfactory and the staff is phenomenal. I write this review today because the special was a pesto chicken sandwich, and I think it was the best pesto chicken sandwich I've ever had. It was one of the most fresh, tasty sandwiches I've ever eaten and not to mention how fair the portion was. I wish it was on the menu all the time. Came here Monday night for dinner with my husband. His 5 napkin burger was amazing, very flavorful and good amount of meat. I had the bleu cheese fries and the poke stack. Poke stack was super tasty, and the bleu cheese dressing for the fries was good as well (great portions as well on the amount of crumbled bleu with the fries). I was kinda bummed though the bleu cheese fries were placed on top of bleu cheese dressing which made the bottom half very soggy :/ Our server Carlos was awesome, really nice and chill. I accidentally grabbed 2 kids menus as they were just sitting on top of podium as you didn't offer. 40 minute wait... but we were able to walk around and wait for our text to be seated. Buffalo chicken sandwich was yummy and great flavor. Nachos sans chili sub black beans... not a good idea. Zero flavor:( but was so hungry after the wait... we just poured Tapatio over it and forged on! Check this spot out! We were looking for a place to have some beers for a change after drinking wine all day so we decided to stop by. There was about a 20 minute wait for dinner and we just walked around local shops and staff texted us when our table was ready. The outdoor seating was nice because of the fans throughout. The patio is also dog friendly which I loved. I tried the bleu cheese burger and the Oktoberfest beer. The burger was delicious and easily split able between two people (although there is a plate splitting fee noted on the menu). The beers were a great price and my party was raving about them, especially the hef and the summer wheat. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends. read more
