I recently went to this establishment for the first time last week, and returned because I had a small issue. The issue was not a big deal, almost expected, but what was not expected was how much the employee was able to help. Feels great to finally find a game store that still cares more about the customer than ripping off normal people. These guys are great and the prices seem pretty reasonable, especially compared to other places. I don't know if he was an employee or the owner, but I just wanted to thank Tommy for helping me on both of my visits and made me feel like I found a new game store to call home. read more

This place is great, especially when you don't have a GameStop in Lodi. If you are a collector, this place is nice. They have old systems, old games and accessories to complete a collection. They even have dvd and vhs which is cool. The only thing that's stopping me from giving this a 5 star is they print covers for some games and sale them for normal price. As a person that needs the original case I feel like it should be cheaper if not. read more

Very large selection of games, retro consoles and accessories available here. The service was also very great and friendly; I had no issues with that. However, if you're a collector, keep in mind that some games may have fake cover art or not be in the original casing. While this was not a massive issue to me, I do have concerns about how they're selling these games at in-box prices you can find on eBay while not even having the original packaging. Instead of the original inserts being in the boxes, there's cheap feeling printer paper inside (you can see the difference, too!). If you're going to reproduce a case for display purposes, at least disclose that these games are not in the original casing. read more

I asked if they had a game in stock which they did and I asked when they closed which they said 8. I said I'll come pick it up and drove all the way from Manteca and they were closed by 7:40 and we're just sitting in their cars. F#cking trash! read more

Great place and service! After selling off items to Gamestop and off of Offerup, I was able to sell the rest I had to this place. I sold back a bunch of Nintendo Wii games, some Nintendo Wii accessories, remotes, and attachments, and some PS4 games. The place was able to take it all for cash money in return. I got at least $30 in return which wouldn't be considered much, but I just wanted to get rid of the stuff since I was moving. Easy and simple trade-in process. read more

Service is great, actually it's an understatement. Came here with my wife & she even found something she wanted. I picked up a few games for my PlayStation 1, 2 & 4 they had an extensive selection of game from my childhood. I still refuse to call it "retro gaming" so I view it as nostalgia. The prices are good value for someone who is not in it for profit, just for collectors. He also gave me a crazy deal on jade cocoon! Thank you guys, will definitely be back. Walked in today to an empty store with two workers sitting at the counter. I said hello how's it going? They completely ignored me even though I'm standing there with a large box of ps5 and Xbox 1 video games to hope trade in. I went to a local store instead of a big box store hoping to trade for some store credit and instead walked out due to the rude treatment. Decent enough prices and a solid selection. Fairly knowledgable staff. Sounds good, right? However if you are collector beware, as they deface their retro games with these ugly glittery stickers that are an absolute pain to remove. And the annoyance of removing them is only magnified when you buy a bunch of games. Which in a way of them punishing you for buying more games. So unless you enjoy spending an hour of your time and a mountain of cotton swabs cleaning the games that you just bought, you might want to hit one of their competitors instead & only come here if you absolutely have to. read more

Solid collection of retro stuff if you want the real deal and don't know emulators. Also had a bit of a party with my friends there with a back room rented and Mario Party 8. The place looks amazing when you walk in. TV's up on the walls and a huge selection of games and accessories. Then I started to notice the prices. Some stuff was actually more expensive than Gamestop lol! I found 2 old PS1 games I wanted in the display case that were actually priced fairly. I asked to buy them and the guy took them up to the register then told me he had to doublecheck the prices first. He then told me they were 10 and 15 bucks more apiece. He charged me 25 dollars more and then he didnt want to let me check the discs for damage before I agreed to pay for them. Needless to say I'm never coming here again. read more

Such an awesome place to throw your kids' Bday or other events for kids. Had my son's 13th Bday here because teenage boy is so hard to throw parties for. Chuckees cheese is too young, laser tag, race cars done it all, home party with theme done it all. Found out this place let you rent out the game room. Every kids love games so this was perfect! You can bring your own food and drinks from any where that's a plus. Each kids can play any games they want in the store. They have over 15 screen TVs & a projector inside the game room for the kids play together/against each other or by themselves. (They also got cool & comfortable game chairs) Great location! Not far from Stockton and it's right next to Smart Food if you're short on drinks or chips for the party. It's only a walk away. There's a nails shop next door for parents who drop their kids off for the party and pamper them self for couples hour while the kids play. Heard this place was under new management that's the whole reason why we went to check it out. Great customer service. I'm a big fan of customer services. They are always helpful so far for all of my visits. The store is very clean and neat. Definitely recommend! (My son rave about how all his friends enjoyed the party and how cool it was at school to other kids.) read more

This review is also posted on Google. I came in during Gamestop's last day of their B2G1 free pre-owned games/accessories/systems promotional period. I was only looking for Nintendo Switch games (Skyrim, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Disgaea 5) so I went online and called some stores to see if I could take advantage of the offer. I couldn't find those games without bouncing around stores within a 30 mile radius. Before I prepared myself to go through this dumb endeavor, I decided to stop by the Lodi Gamers store and see if they had the three games I was looking for. It turns out they did. The store did not advertise any similar promotions so I expected (what I assume to be) the store manager to say that they wouldn't do it. But he did. He rang up all three games and discounted one of them by 100%. I saved a couple more dollars because their pre-owned pricing is a bit cheaper than Gamestops. I said it a couple times at the store but I want to say again: I wholly appreciate your help. Needless to say, Lodi Gamers surpassed my expectations with their friendliness and customer service. Horrible experience! They lied to us about everything when we attempted to use them for a repair on a controller! They lied about ... (Timeframe, what they were working on and what it would take to fix it and continued to spit lies everytime we called!) Then they had the nerve to try and not return our money to us!? This store is not to be trusted! I'm disgusted by the lies and lack of integrity in the people they have running this store! NEVER AGAIN! I was looking for some Dreamcast games and they had an amazing although a very limited selection for Dreamcast games but that makes sense since the Dreamcast never sold well but for more mainstream systems like ps1-ps5 and all the Xbox systems, and all the Nintendo systems that they have an amazing selection are also limited on sega Saturn selection but still amazing selection read more

I'm frustrated with my experience here . First thing that happened was that my fiancé bought a set that came with three grand theft auto games and when we later opened the case we realized we were given the wrong game and instead had multiples of the same game. Second was we bought a game some time later and we again were given the wrong version of the game. Now that I'm experiencing another mistake on their part I'm getting frustrated ...we bought a game last night and when we opened it later there was NOTHING in the case this time. Came here last week with my friend and although this isn't close (especially coming from Suisun), I picked up some cool accessories for my Gameboy Advance and a few games. Terrible service. I came in to buy destiny 2 forsaken. The guy behind the counter suggested me to buy their used copy (xbox 1) for $8 and just download the dlc for $35. I did what he recommended just to find out it's not sold separately. I called the store to let them know that I'm not able to do what they recommend so I just want my money back. Who ever I was talking on the phone with said all they can do is return my game that's all. Poor customer service. read more

From the look of outside, thought it was a small place but it's pretty big when I walked in. My kids would not want to leave whenever we are inside because they get to try out the games in the store. (Also have snacks and drinks) They have great selection on games and they even have movies. Whenever I need games for my kids and Bday gifts it's the place to go to. The new management is so much better. They made my shopping much faster and easier by suggesting what's new and cool everyone is playing. They also show what's appropriate for the little ones. How cool is it that you get to try the games before making a purchase? I would totally recommend game lovers because they have a lot of classic & collections games. read more

When you want a game, just tell them what you want and they give you a call when ever it comes in! The place is a little difficult to find, it's located right next to goodwill on west kettleman lane, but once you find it you won't be disappointed. They let you test out games before you buy em and see if you like it, and they also provide a membership FREE of charge which will give you additional 10% off used games. They take all kinds of trade ins, if youre not sure just bring it in and ask! They price match competitors prices if they are over priced and they provide birthday events! I can't believe the nerve of this place. It's an insult to gamers and game collectors. I never thought i would say ebay is cheaper than a local game store, but this place tries as hard as they can to prove that statement correct. I understand its a business and has to make money, but i traded in some rare strategy guides for a dollar each. When i went back, this guy was selling them at ebay prices. I would highly advise not shopping here if you are looking for a fair deal. My friend was quoted a price at 10 dollars credit. When we came back with the game, the guy denied ever giving him that price and said it's only $1.50. For a game they sell for $22. I guess the customer service is decent since the guy told him "best i can do is 3." Avoid this place. They will tell you a price over the phone, then when you show up they will try to crap all over your product and say how dirty or beat up it is (as a game collector i keep my stuff clean and in mint condition), which is ironic concidering the racks of older games that rival the look of a blockbuster video rental case. Will never shop here again, and unless you like being had for a fool, i suggest you don't either. read more

Overall, this is a good local video game store, the staff have always been helpful, and the establishment itself is clean and clutter free. All the games and accessories are well displayed, and the price(s) easily visible. The selections of PS4 games are a bit limited however. The DS selections are quite good, and for older games there are good deals to be found. read more

This place has a cool environment and a good selection but they're beyond overpriced for any kind of used game. Any used console is going to be roughly 95% full price, when you can get one brand new for an extra $20 right down the street. Used games 60 standard, used consoles 250-350. Even the old gen consoles are north of $100 kind of laughable. Again a great environment for game tournaments and try before you buy, but really, I must reiterate, don't bother stopping by looking for a good deal on any new games as they're generally full price, and old games have a massive "classic video game" tax. read more

Great place to shop for Gamers! From Retro to Next Gen. and everything in between these guys got it all! I been doing business with them for a while now and their customer service is A-1 in my book. Never had a problem and every time I go in there I come out satisfied. In fact, the atmosphere in this shop is so positive I would often travel 30+ minutes to this one instead of going to my local game store.
