I like Ann Taylor but I don't like Ann Taylor prices. Plus, I don't need silk or other dry-clean-only fabric clothing now that I have a drooling toddler. But I am always able to find clothes here to help make me presentable for whatever family function or garden wedding is coming up. Or if I can't decide, they have a great return policy so I can take home 3 outfits to show my husband so he can help me decide which one(s) to keep. Of course they sell plenty of dressy or dry-clean-only clothes, but still overall everything is more affordable and down-to-earth than Ann Taylor. read more

The management at this store is horrible. I reached out to customer service and the District Manager (Alley) called me and she was no better. The associates working there are poorly trained. I was told that I could not return something because it was missing the tag. I tried to explain that there was not tag when I purchased from another loft and they told me to contact customer service. The manager I originally spoke to was Jayleen, I called the next day and spoke to Lacy and got the same response. Most stores will allow you to do a return if you have the receipt and if it is within the allotted time period. I also did an online order for pick up in store and never heard that my order was ready and when i called to inquire about the order, they had no record of it. Love their collection... Mainly because of huge petite collection. But really really poor customer service and believe me I am not being a tough customer at all. I made conscious effort to not be one and kept patience. But 1. their sales associate try to fool you 2. They have really stupid policies that I have never seen with any other brand in US. $125 min order with no option for free shipping in store. With stores closing and limited collection available in store, how do they expect customer retention. Do they expect ppl to do instore shopping in this era of e-retail. Or do they expect customers to do $125 shopping every single time. If one orders more clothes than they want in other top try multiple sizes. You get merchandise credit (if you missed the last day of return) that can only be used instore. Now that I write this I feel all of this even more silly. Now I have $100 worth of merchandise credit that can only be used in store and there is no way out of that. I talked to customer service, store manager everyone and the only response they had "Really sorry mam our system doesn't allow". Talked to 4 folks from customer service and all have different responses. One or two said they could help but before they could make purchase for me, call and chat got disconnected. Also they have such a pathetic mobile app. Homepage focuses on loft card I mean it's clothes brand so shouldn't the focus be on selling clothes showing their best sellers and promotions on app homepage? Overall I feel designers that they chose do a really good job but Company management has a big scope for improvement especially if they want to survive in this tough retail industry competition. Wonderful customer service! I've been there shopping for first time, staff was super helpful. Not only they helped me to find all the styles, sizes, fits (super friendly lady at fitting rooms area), but she also gave me advice on all.discounts and membership card. Cash register lady was super friendly too and I've got 3 different discounts applied. (First time customer coupon, sale discount, membership card discount). It reduced the price by 3 times! Unlike its sister store Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft is a little more business-casual/casual and I love it for that reason. Between these two stores, I am covered for work week and weekend wardrobe. This store always carries a great selection (more so in the regular than petite section, though). There is a petite section, and that is what keeps me coming back. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. I am definitely a fan. read more

The most unfriendly staff ever! They did not greet me as I walked in, even though there was a staff person my the door. I asked about high waisted jeans and she told me to go look in the clearance, that I may find some there. I came out of the dressing room twice to look for different sizes, white wearing what I was trying on. Everyone pretends not to see you or pretend they were too busy fixing clothes. They definitely don't like you if you are older- even though I'm a runner I'm not super slim but I am fit. The sales associate says to me as she puts me in a fitting room : "We only allow a half inch stretch above size." right like I'm gonna do that. That's why you try things on. But I was older. Having shared what was said to me with my demographically appropriate aged daughters, they promptly put their own purchases back That sales associat lost close to 200$ that day from us as well as those from the ladies my age that over heard us. I love this Ann Taylor Loft location. They have a good selection of clothes (it always seems like they have a lot more selection than the Valley Fair location), and the staff is always friendly. The store is always clean and well organized and there never seems to be a shortage of fitting rooms. If you sign up for their online mailing list you'll be notified of the sales (which I swear there's one every week) and new additions. read more

The employees here are a bit "off." I come here one day to buy a sweater that I see on the website. It took a long time for them to find it. They finally say they found it in the back so I paid and left. When I got home it was the wrong size they gave me. I came back few days later and they had No apology and did not care that I have to make another drive there. When I came back they were sold out. I just returned it and bought it online. At least the website is competent. Okay so I had to help my mom with a purchase. She had gone into the store and bought something but they had to expedite it from another location and was told that it'd be shipped to her home. I called up the store for her to find out what the tracking number is and spoke with Debbie. She looked into the purchase and by calling the other store and found an inventory discrepancy which would have resulted in a delay. Something the original sales person didn't care to do and should be part of finishing the sale. She fixed it by locating it at another store with a positive attitude and was able to not only get the purchase back on track but provide me with a way of tracking it. My favorite place in the world. I have one of those jobs where you have to look nice...but they don't quite pay you enough to shop at Banana and Nordstrom's religiously. Ann Taylor has a great sale section in the back where the clothing is sectioned off by sizes. I usually start there and find a couple jewels. Then I venture out into the normal area and pick up a couple more things. The clothing is great quality, professional, conservative, and fashionable. Every time I get a little extra commission I blow it at at this store, and I never feel guilty. =) read more

The returns process was smooth and easy! also the receptionist was very nice to me even when i returned the item (i returned it within a week's time). Here, you can find stylish work and casual clothes for the 30-ish crowd. This store has a bigger selection of petite clothing and I'm more likely to find my sizes here than the one at Valley Fair so I enjoy shopping here. Received a sweater from here from my husband as a "I'm so sorry , I shouldn't have pissed you off gift" and I loved it . Kudos for him for putting in the effort to find me a short boyfriend cardigan in a slightly lighter than charcoal grey. The color is very hard to find since majority of cardigans/sweaters came in a soft grey or a really dark charcoal grey. I really dont know the exactly color name so I'm just going to refer to it as a soft charcoal grey. Most of my sweaters are from ann taylor, ann taylor loft and club monaco and the reason being is that they are usually made out of a softer material and it doesn't give me a hive breakout. My skin is super sensitive so certain material will give me a rash (in minor cases) or hardcore hive break out (worse case scenario) so I'm always careful when choosing the material. The fabric is super soft and the length is perfect. Sometimes being short and petite comes in handy , but other times it makes finding clothes so difficult. I think this is another reason why I adore loft and ann taylor so much because their petite sizing actually fits!! I've worn the sweater about 5+ times meaning it went through the washing machine 5 times and I'm not the type to adjust my washing machine setting to all kinds of clothing although I should , but the material hasn't worn out. Judging from my previous apparel pieces from here the sweater should last me about 2-3 years and best of all my husband said it only costs him $28 bucks after tax. Apparently he got it on sale with some sort of promotion or sale thing. You know guys they cant never remember anything ...comes in one ears and out the other! That's why he even had to even buy me a forgiveness gift to begin with . I guess if you dont want to spend money on your honey then just pay attention to her when you're having a conversation, although I wouldn't mind getting a sweater here and there. read more

My only gripe about Ann Taylor Loft is that many of the items are made of polyester (I don't like having to sweat that much!), which is too bad because often that's what the really sweet dresses are made of. read more

I placed an order online at LOFT and then the regular priced items went on sale two days later. I contacted customer service and they will not do a price adjustment despite the fact that it says on their website "One price adjustment for merchandise purchased at full price may be made within seven days of the original date of purchase." I agree that Ann Taylor has decent clothes for the price but their customer service is horrible and it is not worth the hassle ordering from them. I have had multiple negative experiences dealing with their online and store to store ordering that I felt it necessary to share. First, if you place an order online and the item you order has been sold out they do not notify you of it, you just never receive the item. Many other stores will notify you by email that that item is no longer available but not Ann Taylor Loft, you have to figure it out on your own. The second time I had an issue is when I ordered a dress using their store to store purchasing method. They did not have the dress in the size I needed in the store I was at, so I spent extra money to have it shipped to me directly from another store. When the dress arrived it had a large hole in it, I was also hoping to wear it to an event that weekend as I paid extra money to get it there by that Friday. I was unable to wear the dress but Ann Taylor Loft told me that they would ship another one to me. I did receive the second dress but then a few weeks later they charged my credit card again and I received a third dress. It was a hassle for me to have to call customer service, explain what had happened, and they drive to store to return a dress I never ordered. The last situation I had with them was through their online ordering. I placed an order at Thanksgiving time when they had excellent sales. I received most of my order, except the items that they were sold out of and did not notify me. It is now the middle of February, almost 3 months later, and the charges for my purchase just posted on my credit card. I was initially concerned that the charges might be fraudulent since I had not purchased anything from them since November. When I called to inquire they informed me, after searching through their system for 20 minutes, that they had a glitch in their system and that is why the payment (3 months later) just posted. They said since some of the items I ordered were no longer available they cancelled the order and then reissued it with the remaining available items. Apparently though their computer system did not process the charges until now, three months later, seriously?? It is unfortunate that their customer service is so terrible and that their order processing is so extremely disorganized. She brought the reciept back and was told that without some propmotional coupon she was given after the sale she would not be able to return the item. Great marketing Ann Taylor Loft! So she comes home angry and is looking for this coupon all over. I said I threw a buch of paper in the compost last week and went out to find it. I did. Boy did it stink! I have been shopping at Ann Taylor Loft for many years. I love the style and the price point is great. In the past I have found the customer service to be pretty good, but yesterday I had a bad experience. It was Tuesday Sept. 21st in the afternoon and I had just had a lovely afternoon at the spa. I remembered that I had a couple of coupons in my wallet from a previous Ann Taylor Loft purchase that would give me a good discount for buying clothes at full price. When I entered the store I took my coupons up to the sales staff, who were leaning on the counter talking to one another, because I wanted to be sure I understood the limitations of the coupon. Before I even pulled out the coupon I was accosted with 'do you have the receipt?' in a very accusatory tone. I felt like I had done something wrong. I felt like they were accusing me of somehow trying to rip them off. I spent over one hundred dollars and here they are making me feel like a shoplifter. I did not have the receipt with me and was flustered when I could not find it in my wallet. (I remembered later that I had to remove the receipt from the coupons when I exchanged some jeans for a different size and did not reattach it to the coupons.) I decided to leave the store and while turning to leave the man at the counter said 'well mam, I am the manager and I would be willing to bend the rule just this once. We want you to leave the store looking fabulous.' Wow. Thanks for the backhanded insult and the shabby customer service. Why didn't this whole conversation start with 'Typically our policy is to have the receipt attached, but we would love to have your business today.'
