I started with the Buffalo spiced calamari and man if I didn't get this right! These are so dang amazing and I highly recommend them! Now for my brunch, I ordered chicken and waffles, now these waffles are not your ordinary tasting waffles, they taste like cake! I am so amazed. This is another hit that I love. The chicken in the dish was awes9me also. Let's get to the atmosphere. The host (Vianey) was the most amazing hostess and server. She knew her stuff when it came to the menu and quickly gave us her take on what Sue likes since we asked. Went with a group of 5 and was able to be immediately seated on a Friday night! The atmosphere here is so fun! It's definitely a great first stop on a night out. I'm a wings connoisseur and they were huge, lots of sauce, and crispy. The fish tacos were also real good, real good mango salsa that came with it. Flavorful and each taco was way bigger than your normal bar taco. Lots of beers on draft, not too many TVs, and I love the addition of plants. Came back in on another Saturday for dinner and drinks with a friend and had a GREAT time. Love that they have a live DJ on Saturday nights and the place had a lively crowd. We ordered the friend chicken sandwich and al pastor tacos and both dishes were delicious, beautifully plated, and well-portioned. I really enjoyed the salsa that came with the tacos and you can tell the serving staff are really informed about the menu and listen to customer feedback because she immediately offered several types of hot sauce because the included salsa was mild. I am a spice fiend so I happily accepted the offer. Still love the cocktail menu and beer selection. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Malbec available as a wine by the glass. Malbec is my favorite varietal of red wine and since it's not quite as popular as cabs, zins, and pinots, it is rarely offered by the glass. Not only was it offered, the bottle available was delicious. The owner, Clint, also mentioned that he would be tasting some new wines and we might see a new Malbec on the menu soon! Service was great on this front too. Our adult beverage and water glasses were never empty. The space is cool, the atmosphere is lively, and the menu rotates seasonally. I think this is a pretty standard American pub-style restaurant with great food and beers. To start, we got the calamari which I thought was alright. The calamari itself was too breaded and oily in my opinion. The first few bites with the sauce were pretty good, but I soon became a little queasy just due to how fried it was. 3/5 The nachos, however, I thought was pretty good! The chips were thicker than regular tortilla chips. We got the beef nachos, and I thought they came with a generous amount of topping. 4/5 For drinks, we got the mango cart bear and the L11 G & S. I thought the L11 was quite good. It's sparkling and tastes a bit sour. 4/5 The mango cart was amazing and was recommended by our waitress. It is super sweet and fruity. Would definitely reorder! 5/5 I think the best part of our experience was definitely the waitstaff who was super friendly and made some great recommendations. Tucked away almost underneath the train, this very spacious bar and grill really is a great option for any type of occasion. Pleasantly surprised by all the beers they had on tap, and cocktail menu. The food options weren't super expansive but everything we ordered was really good. I had never had buffalo calamari and really enjoyed it, even friends that weren't big on calamari normally enjoyed it. There can be a bit of a wait sometimes so I would recommend making a recommendation if possible. We did a walk in so we just waited at the bar for a little until they had our table. My friend had the mushroom, spinach and soy chorizo quesadillas (which I definitely tried) and they were so flavorful. I plan to order them the next time I go in because I wanted the whole portion to myself. I had the warm quinoa & brussels sprouts salad which was on a bed of arugula. It was so fresh - I ate the whole thing! We also ordered tater tots because we ended up hanging out in the space longer than expected (the ambiance was so lovely we didn't leave). Visited twice in the last two weeks. Both times had issues with the food, which sucks because I really wanted to like this place. The atrium is super cool and the overall vibe is chill: different seating options (high or low top tables, couches, loungey spots). Beer menu is solid. Food is the issue. First time I got the southwest salad, asking for easy dressing. The salad was huge and tasty, but absolutely swimming in too much dressing. Next time I split nachos and calamari with a side of slaw. The calamari was overflowing the plate, but so over cooked it was essentially inedible. I regret not sending it back. The nachos were just okay. Again it was a large serving, but mostly chips and sparse on toppings. Also wasn't served with salsa/hot sauce. The "spicy" slaw tasted like sweet pickles? No other distinguishable flavor and certainly not spicy. I wish the food was a winner because all the vegetarian options appealed to me because of the vegetarians in my life. It's always on point! They' were playing some vintage madonna on the patio, and I knew I had to see what was happening in there. Theres a cute patio with picnic tables, a dining area with standard tables/hightops, and bar seating. The patio is covered with fans too, so its super comfortable, and the indoor space has huge windows that they leave open when its nice out. The pretty in pink drink is my fave--Some sort of pink fruit flavors (strawberry maybe?) with gin, and its delightful. The cajun style grilled chicken sandwich is amazing! Might honestly be my favorite grilled chicken sandwich I've had in a really long time. And whatever sauce is on that is insane. My girlfriends and I stumbled into this bar after brunch, and it truly is a hidden gem! There is a dj that plays on certain nights, and the interior is decorated nicely with greenery to elevate the "diver bar" feel that the atmosphere gave off. Our server, Ellie, was so nice and friendly. We were on the hunt for espresso martinis, and the bar came through with the BEST ones we've had. The other drinks on the menu were all amazing too!
