Bought tickets thinking 15 people is great for a demo, but no. The place was packed and my kids and I weren't able to see the show. Anybody can just walk in and watch. Then, we didn't get a blue ticket, even though we paid, so my oldest didn't get a chance to make a candy cane. Worst experience ever. Don't recommend. read more

First timer this past Wednesday and my work family and I enjoyed it. As a kid I always wondered how candy canes were made and by who so thanks Logan's! I thought it was interesting to discover that they are totally made by hand aaaand that they had Logan's signature 5 stripes on them. I also had no idea that flavored oils are added so they can customize the special flavor selection they offer. I also less as rn Ed that they make special colors and designs for almost every holiday! I have to bring my grandsons to see as they wold also be bending their own candy cane while it's still warm. Cute store features candy from different eras and little gifts as well. read more

A little pricey but a great experience. The treats taste great and I would come back again. I was there on a Saturday to watch how they make candy I paid $5 to watch and then make one. It doesn't sound like much but I paid for my kids as well and still walked around and purchased more items over all it was a nice one time thing. read more

Went in today after finding Logan's Candies on TikTok several months ago. We just happened to walk in to a candy cane making demonstration and got to bend our own candy cane! They were making Strawberry Cheesecake flavor which was delicious. I bought some of their chocolates to take home as well and let me just say- WOW! They are AMAZING!! I only got the milk chocolate version of the candies but I must say it's some of the best chocolate I've had in my life! I can tell it's fresh and homemade. We will definitely be back! read more

We went for the candy cane making class last night. We paid $5 each which is very reasonable but the problem was many people showed up with no ticket, no reservation and crowded into the store for the demonstration. You didn't have to give your ticket until the end when they handed you your candy cane to bend .. We thought by paying that the class would be limited to those with a ticket first. The owner is great at explaining everything and makes great jokes... unfortunately absolutely no covid protocol being followed by employees or customers and capacity was overpacked. A friend posted on Facebook about this store, so we decided last minute to go on an adventure and watch candy cane making. Worth the drive from Long Beach! We watched the candy cane making demo, paid to shape our own warm candy cane and then stayed for the candy ribbon demo. The owners are great and my 11yo learned a lot. Also, Jerry (owner) talked about the significance of the candy cane (Christ) and had info available if you wanted to read the whole story. All the employees are so very nice and you are able to taste a sample of the fresh warm candy canes they make. During this time of year, there are life size Nativity scenes/ diaramas down Elm Street which we walked to in between the candy demonstrations. Tip: Get there at least 20 mins early to get a good spot, although he does use a mic so everyone can hear as he's talking throughout the demo. read more

Wish I could give this a 10 star review! This is a MUST EXPERIENCE local outting. Cannot believe I've lived "local" all my life and never been. --Onto the review--- We went to the last (830pm) demo of candy cane making on a Friday night, two weeks before Christmas. Jerry is THE candy man. There were so many people crowded around to see how a candy cane is made. I have a whole new level of appreciation for candy canes (ahem, Logan candy canes). The Logans have been making candy in Ontario since 1933; and they have a serious love for what they do. I appreciated the window view and that Jerry had a microphone so all the crowd in and outdoors could hear. It is an informative and interesting (and funny) demo...Simply amazing how it all comes together. I love that Jerry told the meaning of the candy cane and Christmas with pride. At the end of the demo, you get to sample the WARM candy cane that was just made before your eyes & you can purchase a warm piece of candy cane to bend into whatever shape we like. My kids were complaining of being cold during the wait (I advise you to come 30-45min early for decent viewing spot); but when the demo was over they really appreciated the wait and said they loved it and wanted to come back every year. In my opinion the best spot to watch is outside the window in front of the shop- that's the place they begin the candy making. From there you can see the assembly line. Ohh and another tip- buy a ticket ahead of time for your warm candy cane- as the wait can get long for the cashier. Hope u go and you love it as much as we did! read more

Logan's Candies has been a Christmas staple in my life since childhood. The holidays wouldn't feel like the holidays without this place. From the incredible candy to the hilarious and friendly employees, this place is a MUST, not just for Christmas but ALL holidays. I've been in both December AND November for the candy cane demos and although it's fun during both months, it is much less crowded during November!! So if you've been before, I would recommend going in November. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! read more

Not at all what I expected. Just a small town candy store. People were not very friendly. Other posts talk about their great candy canes. No samples to try and no enticement to make any purchases. We walked in and wandered around the store and walked out. The only interaction with the staff was them saying that whenever we were ready to make our purchase we just had to go to the register. read more

A girlfriend and I took our kids for the candy demonstration. For the FIRST time I wish I could give 6,7, or 8 STARS! This candy demonstration is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time, I *might* have enjoyed it more than my 6 and 4 year old. It is a great set up, very well run by the owner, his wife and family. They are a big part of downtown Ontario history. Highlights of the demonstration are: -getting to make your own candy cane in any shape you choose -tasting fresh warm candy cane (nothing like anything you've tasted before...TRUST ME) -the original people making *perfect* candy canes with their own hands. They just filmed Food network there!! It's 1.50 if you want to bend and make your own candy cane, otherwise the demonstration is free. Parking is limited street parking, so plan accordingly. We come here every December to stock up on candy for Christmas. They make everything here so you're paying for 'real' candy and not something mass produced and shipped in. The candy canes are light, flavorful, and sugary. You can tell upon biting into one that this is a real candy concoction and not some over processed sugar with chemicals. The candy canes are very good, but what I really love is their pillow candies. Give me a huge bowl of cinnamon pillows any day (think of these as little candy cane tips). Bowls of these fresh made peppermint and cinnamon pillows are a staple of Christmas around the house. During the holiday season they make candy canes where you can watch them do it. When they are doing this, get there BEFORE the time so you can get a spot as the place inside and out fills up very quickly so everyone can watch the candy making process. Another holiday special (to me anyways) item you can get here is freshly made ribbon candy. For someone into unique and special candies, get them a box of ribbon candy for a Christmas gift and they'll love it! This place is special, and I hope it lives on for years to come, as it still does things the way they should be done, and it is somewhere worth going! read more

It was fun to see them making homemade, hot, fresh, candy cane and they were happily giving out samples of this fine treat when I was there. A unique experience I wasn't expecting. I had this saved in my bookmarks and we stopped by here on our way home for lunch in orange county. They have everything here. Lots of different candies. We ended up buying some divinity walnut fudge, white chocolate pretzels and a bunch of other chocolates. The divinity is pretty good, it was heavier then what im used to, i guess cuz its more fudge then true divinity ? Its really hard to find good white chocolate pretzels and i finally found a place locally. the only problem is , its $15.95lb !!! It is great though. We will definitly will be going back to pick some more stuff up and to try other things. read more

I was amazed at this place! It's honestly really hard to find an authentic candy shop that still makes their own candy. They are very proud of making their own candy canes here which is usually during Christmas time. The candy ribbons that I had were delicious and still tasted fresh. They also had variety of flavors but I was told by the salesgirl that they usually have over 10 flavors. They also have a good variety of sugar-free candy which was nice. I highly recommend this business. I took my Girl Scout troop to watch the candy cane demonstration. In addition to the girls having the opportunity to bend Candy we were all given small samples of candy cane that was warm and delicious. My favorite part was getting to know the owners Jerry and Susi Rowley and hearing their amazing story and the beautiful story of the Candy Cane. I'm normally not a fan of American chocolates, as they are mostly sugar and not chocolate. Surprisingly I actually liked Logan's chocolates. They are the right consistency of sweetness, and have a variet of candy. Service was excellent upon my arrival, and the cost was quite reasonable. Although it was a little trek to Ontario; it's well worth it. Much better than Sees candy I must say. Definitely will visit again. They also have a selection of sugar-free chocolates. read more

Been coming here since I was a little girl. So many childhood memories of the candy cane making demonstrations. Arrive about 10-30 minutes early. You can watch from the outside or inside. The demonstrator (owner) puts on a mic so you can still hear when you are outside. The view is arguably greater from the outside (although they are expanding for next year, so this may be different) because you can see the entire process where inside you can only see a portion depending on where you are standing. It lasts about 30 minutes and you will be amazed your first time-- it's very neat, fun and educational. They give candy cane pieces as a sample and you can also purchase ($1.55) to get a fresh, hot candy cane to bend into any shape right off the line! This is such a beautiful, local, family owned business that I am thrilled is still thriving and I love supporting! read more

Never heard of this place until my youngest Daughter's Girl Scout Troop set up a group demonstration tour. I also never knew about the Candy Cane making process and was amazed by how much time, labor and people it takes to make a batch! They've been in business since the early 1930's and book quickly before the holidays for group tours, but do have family demonstrations around the holidays.
