Probably one of the best hidden gems in the area. We love this restaurant, especially the full salad bar!

$70 for two people and they serve Kraft Mac&Cheese as a side. The price says "fresh" but the flavor says "I don't think so"! Asked for Medium, got charcoal. The chicken breasts were small and flat and chewy. I will not give them another opportunity to disappoint me. It was a low effort atmosphere. Both of the stars are for our server. Service is decent; waitstaff are friendly. I had soup of the day and the salad bar, with a soft drink. Bill came to $25 and change, BEFORE TIP! I have posted their latest menu as of 23 Feb 2023. I don't object to high prices for exceptional food; however, this food was just ok. Salad bar was well-stocked, with a good selection of toppings and other items (bean salad, pudding, cottage cheese, and etc.) but shredded lettuce on the salad bar does not a $20 salad make. Chili was just ok and bland. Tabasco improved it a little. Bread was an improvement on the old brown sawdust loaf they used to serve, but barely--they said it was sourdough, but it had little flavor and the crust was not crisp at all. I was a regular customer for more than ten years, and slowly stopped going there because the quality dropped. Even with inflation, the prices here are outrageous for the quality of the food. Went to Logan's Ribeye, ordered a ribeye. No-brainer. Look at this GORGEOUS plating! I asked Mr. Logan for some green onions and he delivered! He ordered a pork chop and it looked killer, as well! Some people don't care for the shredded lettuce on the salad bar. But it is so much easier to eat, and because of that stellar salad bar and all the toppings, the ranch and sweet n tangy(French? Russian?) plus dried cranberries, sunflower kernels, and fresh-cut veggies, it was delightful! I do miss the homemade croutons, though. But the Lance Captain's Wafers brought it home. Awful! Four of us went Sunday for a birthday dinner. We had never been and won't go again. To start, the salad bar was great. Fresh, cool, crispy veggies awaited our selection. All was downhill from there. Now to the meals. The chicken alfredo was thick, like slightly cooled velveeta thick. It had an odd cream cheese tang and tasted nothing like alfredo. The only noodles offered are linguini which get lost in the goo. The NY strip was rare rather than medium and looked like no other strip steak we've seen. The potatoes were mashed well but bland and the gravy had time to begin to congeal before arriving at the table. Their signature ribeye came out medium rather than rare and looked and tasted like a tough sirloin. Side note, the strip steak was tough as well. The baked potatoes were hard and dry. The smothered chicken was tough and the cheese had cooled to a rubber consistency. All this after a 45 minute wait for the entrees. The waitress was friendly but only offered to refill one of the four drinks. I met up with some friends the other day and I was late. They had ordered already and was waiting for a redo on a couple of items as they were over cooked. I thought I would have a salad and when I found out the price I almost flipped! This coffee shop wanted $16.95 for a trip to the salad bar!! They can't be serious! I wish I could give zero stars. One of the worst dining experiences I've had in quite awhile. They like to play on the fact that they are the locally owned Logan's Steakhouse but do yourself a favor and go to the Logan's chain. You'll pay much less for a better meal and probably get better service. They are supposed to have a great salad bar but let me be clear, a good salad does not start with finely shredded iceberg lettuce and is not topped by canned ingredients slowly drying in a tub of ice. However this is a steakhouse and a great steak can overcome the lackluster service and 2nd rate salad bar. Unfortunately, the steak just wasn't very good. If the price were 20% less it might have been as good of a deal as a Logan's or Texas Roadhouse but at more than $30 for a 12oz ribeye, I expect more. The steak itself was ok but was completely unseasoned and cooked way too much. I ordered Med Rare and received Med Well. I didn't bother to complain because based on the service I had received, I didn't think much would be done. To be honest, even if cooked correctly, I didn't want anymore from this restaurant. I just wanted to leave. Just to complete the experience, my waitress must have been on an extended smoke break because I actually waited 15 minutes to get my check so I could finally pay and leave. First, the good: Great service from our server, who was fantastic. Also kudos for having a decent salad bar, something of which I'm very fond, if it's done well. Ordered the rib-eye/baby back rib combo, and I don't think it made it even to mediocre. The ribs were not smoked and had been on hand for quite a while. A lathering of barbecue sauce didn't fool anyone. Had to leave them aside. The steak was just okay; the flavor was pretty good, but it was so thin that it could have served as a bookmark. I came into town to vista family and to have a nice meal. My family stated that Logans had a salad bar and they also serve seafood which I thought would come in handy due to me being a pescatarian with a vegetarian-based diet. So we get there I look at the menu and it's very plain, I didn't order a grilled mahi-mahi with mashed potatoes. My mahi-mahi was so hard that you couldn't cut through with a fork you also couldn't cut through it with one of their awful steak knives and it was DRY. I then sent the food back and the server offered to remake the food, I kindly said no due to it being 8pm and I didn't want to wait another hour for our food. The server kindly said OK offered me more of the salad bar and went about her day. When the checks came I was still charged $20 for salad bar that I have barely anything at. She then brings the manager over and the manager states that I had 3 to 4 plates of the salad bar so I still need to pay. I've been pointed at my two plates that I've been sitting next to me the entire time and told him I only ate two plates from the salad bar and neither plate was full, I was mainly testing to see if I would like any of it and I did it. He then argues with me about the quality of the fish that they served and told me that it wasn't tough it was just a little crispy. He then proceeded to show animosity and anger towards my sister and it honestly came off very hostile. I didn't have a problem paying for what I ate but I was not going to pay $20 for a salad bar that serves shredded lettuce and bean salad... Our server was good. Salad bar was good. That is about it. My husband ordered a Ribeye-medium rare - the restaurant has it in it's name so it should be the best, right? Very thin and medium well. He waited for a while and our server ask if everything was ok. He stated that his steak was overcooked. The comment from our server was that everyone is struggling right now. Really?? She then ask what we wanted her to do. Did he want another steak. He is nicer than me. He just ask for a box. Great place for dinner, there are usually quite a few people there but not so many where you can't get a seat. They have a full bar where you can get a drink with your dinner. Small menu, but has great steak and ribs. You shouldn't need anything else. Make sure you get apple butter for your bread, there isn't anywhere you can get something that compares. The last time I went the quality was down and size portions we small and PRICES were way HIGHER! so much so we wrote it off.... We had a party of 19 for Father's Day, and they were so kind to accommodate us. They were so short staffed, but every person that worked there was working so hard and being so kind. Stopped here tonight for the first time. Everything went pretty well, it was a slight wait for our waiter to come take our drink order. However he was very prompt on getting our drinks to us and taking our food order shortly after. The food was pretty good no complaints, the salad bar could be better. We didn't get any dessert, the bill wasn't to bad for everything. The only thing this place needs to work on is the atmosphere. Wife and I stopped in here on a kid-free night. I got a steak and rib platter. No complaints, my steak was good and the ribs were tender. Not a huge fan of the sauce, too sweet for my taste, but not an experience killer by any means. Very nice salad bar. All of the toppings were cold and fresh. The lettuce looked like it had just been chopped. I'm not a big fan of the dining room, which is setup to look like a old western street. There aren't any real windows. The setting is pretty dark and dated. It actually took away from my experience. I would be more likely to eat here if there were some windows. read more

I've been there several times with friends, and only three times on my own dime - because I follow the baseball rule: 3 strikes and you're out. Logan's is out. The only reason I'll give it 2 stars is because of the salad bar. I've never seen it chaotic, dirty, or having bad vegetables out. It's kept up. The problems I've always had are service. I don't know why, as whether you're dressed quite nicely, or casual, seems to have no effect on whether you'll ever get any service. It's as if they have a "waitress or not" section, and I always get put in the "not". I've yet to have a good steak there, and for the money, I can make a better steak at home for half the price. They're always overcooked, tough, and lacking flavor. A really good time for a drink refill, too, and the servers are nowhere to be found. Speaking of needing drinks, the bread they bring out is usually dry, and the last time, looked like it had been around the block a few times. Probably served to someone who didn't touch it, and reheated some. The last time we were there, they had a fish special written up on the whiteboard in the foyer. I ordered that, and the server (who took at least ten minutes to find us) told me that they did not have that. I had taken a picture of the whiteboard, having had problems with them before. I showed it to her. We went back out, and someone had erased it. Spoke with the manager, who said it was for lunch and hadn't been changed. Showed them the picture again, and they honored it. Pity. The fish was little more than deep fried batter pockets with fish flavor, and a few scraps of meat inside. I refused the first batch, politely I'll point out, and that was it for the night. Ignored until I got tired of it and left - without paying - as I got nothing but iced tea. And it was weak. Once again, I had to go in search of my own drink refills, too. Unlike my Olive Garden experience, though, where a friend and I (some years ago) worked a dining room with pinched aprons for 2 hours, before a manager noticed that we were not employees. That's about the service level you get at Logan's, though. As I said earlier, Logan's has struck out. I won't even go back, if someone else is paying. Well, I might, but I'll have the salad bar, and take my own drinks with me! read more

On 1-18-2017 I visited this establishment with my family. My family and I had a bad experience, which I knew could happen based on past experiences here. I thought I'd give this place one last try, I wish I hadn't. The server was an emotional wreck. She was the only server we ever saw, but there were only two tables other than mine with customers; so the place was basically dead. We placed our order with our emotionally distraught server and visited the salad bar. The lettuce was browning, there were rotten tomatoes with holes of brownish decay. We were not too pleased to find rotten produce on their salad bar. When our server returned with our order she served my wife the steak that I ordered, me the steak that my wife ordered, my son a salty cheeseburger without any cheese, but got my daughters order right. When I made an attempt to make our server aware of the problem she about had a nervous breakdown, and I thought she was going to start crying. So, we just dealt with what we were served. My ribeye was terrible! It had a shape that I've never seen a ribeye have. It was gristlely which ribeyes are not, so who knows what it really was. My baked potato was way over cooked, actually bent my fork trying to break it apart. Im never going to dine at this disgusting, irritating, dumpster dive of a steakhouse again. The steaks are just okay, they don't really stand out much and for the price I'd rather go somewhere cheaper to get a steak I actually know I'm going to enjoy. Gone here tonight (05/09/15@1745hrs ET)with the family and the grand kids.....First time back to this restaurant in over 8yrs we couldn't remember why we hadn't been back in so long! We waited over 45 minutes to be seated and then waited another 15 minutes for a sever to take our initial drink orders(3 ice waters, 2 colas) for a small round table that hardly was able to seat 4adults & 3children(1reqiring a high chair) then seeing their lame excuse for a salads bar which the majority of the salad bar contained empty containers and the salad plates were small & HOT to the touch, for cold salad items ... After the server took our meal orders it took another 45 minutes for our steaks(if you want to call them steaks) to arrive! 2- 9oz Top sirloin medium rare , 1 -10oz rib eye well done, 1 9oz chopped sirloin, 1- kids cheese burgers,1 - kids Mac & Cheese.. Well both Top sirloins steaks were unseasoned flavorless thick cut & tough burnt pieces of shoe leather, The ribeye was primarily fat even for a ribeye and It was supposed but to well done it was a bloody raw any competent veterinarian could have restored life to it and had it back on up its legs and running is the next cattle drive.. An hour meal the server only offer to refill one of the cola once while the three water glasses were empty the majority of time with never an offer to refill any of the waters! The Rude Slow Sever never asked if there was any issues with our meals. Now I know and remember why we haven't been back in over 8 yrs or will we never return to this sorry ass excuse of a restaurant!!! If it was possible I would have given this restaurant a negative five stars If Chef Gordon Ramsay was to be called in to help this estiblishment I'm sure Chef Ramsay would close it down permanently after his initial five minutes walk through inspection and assessment I suggest if you are wanting a good steak and better service go to either Out Back Steakhouse ,Texas Roadhouse or Stables Steakhouse here in Town...but whatever you do DON'T stop here unless you enjoy terrible food and horrible service read more

I keep wanting this place to be good, but usually it is not. this is the only American sit down restaurant on this side of town. I keep praying for any thing to open. this place would be out of business. they are one of the very few places left that has a salad bar, so many people come here for that. The salad bar for me is all canned offerings with shredded lettuce that would be right at home behind the counter at burger king. They do have a couple of entries that can be tasty. the bourbon salmon, and the chopped steak can be tasty. The steaks surprisingly are only slightly better than a golden corral with less taste. one time I waited 45 minutes for a meal. It was taking so long they actually turned the lights out on me. Other times food is just plain tasteless. I have complained a couple of times to waitress and asked to see manager. Maybe they don't know how bad things are. They just comped my meal, but the manager refused to talk with me. It feels like people running restaurant as a hobby. Maybe stop there for lunch.
