New owners, same Logan's. We were hoping for improvement with new ownership, but no such luck. We were in about 3:30 pm on a Tuesday. It was not busy. We ordered rib eye steaks with salad and sides. We ordered our steaks medium, his was fine, mine was over well. Not a hint of pink to be found. We would have asked for horse radish but our server disappeared. Never came back to even ask how our meal was. Just handed us our check and the boxes we requested. If you want a great steak, try Quaker Steak and Lube downtown. Skip this one. read more

I mean that's y we went to a steak house anyway right? so I always get white gravy on my potatoes and he gets brown... always well I real they are wrong.. I can setting them get me a plate please...but before that...I see this long ass hair laying across my steak/plate... yea no...I say I don't want this and no I don't want another one...he is looking at me like what.. i point it out... his first response is it's not mine... I have no hair .. that's the reason... ok well idc whose it is.. I don't want to eat this ... i don't want another one... I have a weak stomach and listen the last thing is that on my mind when eating... idk whose hair it was... several waitresses had long hair not pulled back any at all ... one cook had a long dark beard not covered ... it's up in the air... so he says sorry and he would take it off the bill... well yea I'd hope so... regardless I normally don't leave reviews ... but the last couple of times it has been not so pleasant we always have high hopes... next time.. we will definitely go to another steak house... read more

Went for our anniversary dinner. Told a 10 minute wait. Sat there 17 minutes. Restaurant was empty. 13 employees standing around the front counter doing nothing. Then was told we couldn't have booth because there was none available. Only two booths in the restaurant had people sitting in them. Worst experience ever. Do not recommend. Went to another restaurant and in less than 5 minutes seated and served. Logan's might as well close this location.! read more

Bad experience here on Wednesday 9-28. We did not eat our steaks. What I got was not a $25 filet mignon but more like piece of rotten tasting meat. Only way to describe is greasy burnt prime rib with a rotten taste. My wife loves this place we been here many times but her steak a logan was bad also. Only positive was we didnt have to pay for it. Waited an hour from the time we ordered our food until we received it. Food was less to be desired with half of it cold and the other half burnt (meats). Service from not just our server but the bartender and several other servers was non existent. Even though my boyfriend and I arrived within an hour of closing, the service was excellent as was the food. Our server was very attentive. He and I split a meal. The 9 oz filet mignon medium rare with two sides. It was cooked perfectly, and the meal was delicious. A lot of people try to knock this place down saying they cut the portions short but fail to realize they are paying for a perfectly cooked steak and not the raw steak weight. If you aren't looking to go to a fancy place such a J Franks for a well-made steak, this is the one restaurant in Bristol I would recommend. They also have good drink happy hour specials and a friendly environment conducive to watching sports. read more

How, how, HOW is Logan's as busy as it always is? I find that this place is best summed up by a sign hanging above one of their booths: "Eat-n-pay-n-get out." Yep, that's exactly what they want you to do, that's why the hosting staff is always rude, the table service is quick and minimal, there is no ambiance to speak of, and the music is blaring loud. The food is always poorly prepared (a medium-rare steak shouldn't be gray in the middle!), and over-priced.You usually wait 20 minutes for a table, when plenty of them are open, so I guess they're just perpetually under-staffed. My boyfriend likes to come here for a steak rather than having to drive all the way to Kingsport or Johnson City for one. I'll only go if I can tell he really wants to go here, but I would NEVER pick this place on my own. I usually end up settling for a salad, which I could easily make just as well (maybe better?) at home. Still, even that salad is $12. I don't get Logan's. I just don't. read more

We stopped in after a long road trip and it was a great experience. Obviously not a fancy restaurant but you get what you pay for! Our meat was cooked perfectly and baked potatoes were awesome. If you go ask for Chris to be your waiter!! He is so hardworking and checked on us frequently. He was genuine when asking how we were doing. We used to love Logan's. We decided to give another shot at a different location in Abingdon. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin which is my favorite. We got our food our hour after we ordered and the steak was not edible. Our waitress was really nice but it looked like she was the only one working and she couldn't get to all the customers in a timely fashion (not her fault though). I can only assume that there must have been one cook as well. The mashed potatoes were hard, I could hardly cut the steak and it tasted a little off. The salad was swimming in dressing - it looked like the whole bottle was dumped on it. The rolls and tea were good. We weren't charged for the salads or drinks but Logan's will be our last choice for somewhere to eat in the future. read more

Don't waste your time going here. First time I went, it took more then 30 mins to even get seated. Then it took forever to even get waited on. Ended up giving this place a second try today and I left even more disappointed. It took 10 min for the waitress to get our drink order, when there were only 6 tables that had customers, not busy at all. We had to return 3 sets of silverware because of how dirty they were. There are flies everywhere. You're constantly having to swat them away. The chips for the nachos were soggy and the chili tasted like ketchup. I found a fly in my salad, and he was covered in ranch. Normally I really enjoy the food here, however went there tonight for my wife's birthday and we had a horrible experience. They will probably blame it on the race crowd, but my steak was the wrong one. Then the waitress forgot and asked for our dessert order. Finally did get the correct steak after everyone else finished. My sons salmon was extremely dry and small portions for $15. Poor service was common. Great prices but not great food. Service was ok. We both got steaks one ordered well done and the other med rare both came out closer to well done. The baked potato was overdone and dry as well. The salad consisted of mostly stems and pale almost white tomatoes. We eat about 430pm and ordered from the early dinner menu for 8.99. We were charged full price. We had the world's friendliest waitress, and as far as positive things to say about our vist... that's pretty much it. We had three steaks and.a plate of ribs. The steaks were two 6oz and one 8oz and supposed to have been cooked well done and medium. Didnt matter anyway... they were all cooked well done. They were all the same size despite being different prices. And they were all D-R-Y!! I mean, thank heavens for steak sauce or this would have been like eating rubber. Also, my daughter's ribs were bland and greasy. Waiting 20 minutes for sub-par food and then being charged $69.00 (!) for it is unacceptable. Waited 40 plus minutes on food after ordering, when got the food my shrimp it was cold and my mother in laws steakr was cold, only thing somewhat warm was our side dishes seems they microwaved it. While traveling with a party of four. We decided to eat at Logan's b/c it was getting late. Server was great, everything else was horrid. My party ordered a steak which was cold, a burger and my fiancée had ribs. (In addition we were celebrating our anniversary) I ordered a salad. Everyone's food but mine came. 20 mins later when I saw the server and asked what happened she told me she found it in the back that it was left sitting. I spoke to the house manager who did offer to make me something to eat but it was late and we was already behind schedule b/c of this then I spoke to who I believe to be the general manager he was absolutely rude. The last 3 or 4 times at the Logan's in Bristol, Va was terrible. I always order steak but lately their steak is a cheap sub-par cut of meat. Very low grade and always tough and difficult to chew. Service was slow and other members in my party complained about their food too. I had mashed potatoes and they were so dry they were actually crumbly. The tea was terrible. I met my former coworkers at Logan's to catch up (there were 4 of us). Two were there when I arrived, and the last showed up about 10 minutes later. We were seated in the bar area. We received drinks and refills, but no one took our order for over half and hour. One of us had interrupt the bartender who was too busy flirting with bar patrons to tend to us. My family and I decided to go to Logan's in Bristol, VA. There were 6 adults, 2 toddlers, and one infant in a carrier. When we arrived I went in to put our name on the list. The girl was nice and simply said it will be 45 minutes to an hour. I sat down and we waited. I received a text at 821pm stating they would text me when our table was ready. I got a text at 8:50pm stating our table was ready. We all went to the hostess station. 2 of the men in our party forgot their mask. They asked if we had them and they said no we forgot ours. A girl up front said it's okay we can give you a mask.... then out of no where came a woman who was "supposedly" a "manager". She very rudely said "Nope, only one per party, you were told that when you put your name on". I said no, we were not told that, and she very rudely said "Oh yes you were!". I was not told that... we waited 30+ minutes and they absolutely would not let us in there to eat. My father in law then called to speak with another manager and he said that we only waited 25 minutes and we were not welcome there ever again. I have never in my life been treated so rudely by a "manager". Myself nor my family will ever visit there again. And I will be sure to share this review on all social media. read more

So I go to this location the last 4 times hoping to rekindle my love for Logans...and it's not the service or the hospitality..it's the quality of the food. TERRIBLE! rolls are good though. Barf!! We had never been to Logan's but decided to stop in as we have heard good reviews on the restaurant. We were in for a huge surprise as service was extremely slow, food was beyond sub-par, and the men's bathroom was NASTY! My wife and I wanted lunch but the menu listed only a few lunch choices and it wasn't what we wanted to eat. We decided to order the sample appetizer platter. The potato skins were burnt and inedible. We complained to the manager and she gave an excuse but did bring us some new one's that were not burned. The men's room stunk to high heaven and was dirty. We arrived at 11:10 am this establishment opened at 11am. The bathroom should have been immaculate but definitely was not. The walls appeared to have been sprayed down with cleaner many, many times but never wiped down. This is the worst restaurant in town. It is running down and not well kept. The place is dirty. My kids got chicken tenders today and they tasted odd. One kid's were ok and the other were old and reheated. The manager made us look crazy. Then steaks were cooked incorrect and he basically said it was our problem. Nothing he could do. Even if he cooked new ones they would be the same!! The steak was burnt and the cut was terrible. Couldn't cut it with a knife - no way you could chew it!! I am fine paying for edible food, but when I can't eat it I want my money or a new entree cooked!! This place is awful and the managers need to be fired! Run fast and far away. Super disappointed. Made reservations on a Tuesday for 16 people, was told upon arrival that they don't "really take reservations". Um. It is Tuesday and your restaurant is not full. We were finally seated. One waitress for 16 people. People were done eating before everyone was served. Two out 16 had to return their food. I have eaten at this location before and it was fine before Covid. I stopped in tonight and got an order to go. I had 16 OZ ribeye medium rare, potato with extra sour cream only and chili with the signature rolls. Got to the hotel. The rolls were cold, day old and stale not fresh warm and soft. I know what a day old potato looks like. This one was gray and warm but dry. The steak was cooked medium rare but was definitely not a 16 OZ. It was thin and probably 10 OZ. Totally not happy. This place will probably close. Service was good though but the place was pretty empty at 5:00 pm on a Thursday. I feel bad for them but I am not coming back. Bristol is a stopping place for me when I travel. I will explore other options. read more

My daughter wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate her birthday. She wanted her family to go with her. We were a large party. We were told we would have an 1 hour wait. We had to wait almost 1 1/2 hours. After being seated it took 1 hour to get part of our food. Another waitress took part of our food when it came up. We ended up being there 3 1/2 hours. We were very disappointed in the food. There are many more places to eat . We have visited several lately and were pleased with our experience at those places including the food. We will not going back to Logan's again. I spoke with the manager 2 times. He was very little help. Perhaps complaints are so common place, it is the norm at this restaurant. read more
