My daughter wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate her birthday. She wanted her family to go with her. We were a large party. We were told we would have an 1 hour wait. We had to wait almost 1 1/2 hours. After being seated it took 1 hour to get part of our food. Another waitress took part of our food when it came up. We ended up being there 3 1/2 hours. We were very disappointed in the food. There are many more places to eat . We have visited several lately and were pleased with our experience at those places including the food. We will not going back to Logan's again. I spoke with the manager 2 times. He was very little help. Perhaps complaints are so common place, it is the norm at this restaurant. read more

Me and my gf went to logans in Bristol, Va aroun, d 3 pm Sunday the 6th day of Feb.. I called before we got there to see if they had a wait time to get a table.. Lady said 15 min wait time. We get there in approximately 4 mins, and park, and parking lit was maybe a 1/ 4 full. We go in and was told we had a 30 min wait time. I looked around and there was at least 25 tables open, including bar area. We gk sit at bar and 25 mins later she asks what we would like to drink. We ordered drinks and i ordered a bud light with a whole lime, because they dont have bud light lime, so she brought my drink and one tiny slice of lime, then I told her I needed a whole lime, so she got the rest and brought it.. Never once gave us any napkins or anything. Me and my GF are talking and I have my elbows on bar, and out of the corner of my eye a waitress sits a basket of bread and butter behind my elbow kn edge of the bar and walks off, If I hadnt noticed, they would have wound up in floor..Once again no napkins or silverwear. By then my frosted mug was leaving a big puddle that was running toward my lap. We asked for napkins and bartender gave us 6 small napkins, of which 4 wiped up puddle. Bartender took our order and my gf ordered a sirloin med rare, and I ordered same but well done, and ordered a coke that I wanted when my meal arrived. About 30 mins they brought our meals to us, and my gf's was almost raw and mine was 90% pink all the way through. Then a out 5 mins, we finally got bartenders attention and I told her about our meals, but my gf decided to try to eat it anyway because we had already been there going on 2 hours.. After 20 mins she brought my steak back, and it looked like a burnt tire. So I tried to eat it and besides being tough, it tasted like crap. My first time there, and I will never go back there again. The experience at Logan's was a first for me, and it will be hard to top. It began with soft buttery rolls that melt in your mouth. We got mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and the cheese stretch was perfectly divine. The two sides I ordered was the Caesar salad and the mac and cheese. The thing that pleased me the most about the salad were the croutons. I'll be honest Texas Roadhouse's has disgusting croutons, but Logan's had the perfect toasty crunch. The Mac and Cheese was classically scrumptious. Finally, I got the medium rare filet mignon, which was the most exquisite delight of the whole meal. Devouring the juicy steak, satisfied and went beyond expectations. Finally, the service, no restaurant is quality without quality service. The waitress was kind and well-mannered and stayed on top of our needs. The best part of the whole experience however, was the manager Kieth. He was funny, polite, and made sure everything was taken care of. Thanks to him the whole experience ran smoothly and will be a well-loved memory for quite a time to come. We stopped in here on our way back from a trip to Abington and were pleased with what we found. The atmosphere was fun and very "roadhouse-y", complete with peanut shells covering the floor and a fridge where you could pick out your cut of meat. I ordered a steak and it was good, though not the best I've ever tasted. The sweet potato fries were not what I was expecting, and they were too sweet being covered in cinnamon, that should be an option because I would have never chosen to have them finished that way. Steaks are generally "okay". Personally, I prefer their meatloaf. Baby Back Ribs are also very good. My wife tried the Pork Chop this week and she said it was "good, but not great." Quality consistency has been erratic. All seems depends on the cook working. Don't hesitate to complain to the manager; they'll make it right. read more

I usually get the steak but decided to order chopped steak. The description said chopped steak served with mashed potatoes, gravy, mushrooms and onions. When the plate arrived I couldn't even find the mashed potatoes. After questioning the server she said the mashed potatoes were a garnish, not a side. If that's their policy, they need to word the description differently. Will stick to my usual. Also the rice pilaf is a garnish, not a side. This isn't my first trip to this Logan's, but it very well might be my last. I've never written a review before, but this experience was so miserable that I felt compelled to create an account. Firstly, and this is probably the worst part, one of the COOKS left the restroom without even taking the time to WASH HIS HANDS! This is not only disgusting, but extremely unsanitary! But now onto the meal. I would expect slow service during the lunch or dinner rush, but certainly not within the mid-day rut. Waiting 45+ minutes for a few simple rare steaks and a bowl of soup prompts you to resort to eating the stale, mushy peanuts on the tables. I eventually received bowl of cold potato soup but they forgot my sides. Granted, the staff is very friendly, but this restaraunt appears in disarray. read more

If you're hungry for great steak, good mixed drinks, and great customer service this hell hole is the last place to come. I sat at my table with no greeting for 7 minutes after I stopped and asked a waitress where my server was at. When they finally showed up and took my order 40 minutes later is when my "med rare" steak came out. The steak was a cold burnt hockey puck, and there wasn't anything baked about my potato that shit was still raw as hell. Yet the food wasnt the only situation i was having, an older man serving was telling his tables that Ocharleys across the street was shutting down so when I went over there to get their delicious Carmel pie to wash nasty ass Logan's out of my mouth, asked and sure enough they are not. Logan's has always been my favorite restaurant. I miss being allowed to toss peanut shells in the floor. Idk why, maybe just because it's different. I love the atmosphere. I'm not a huge fan of country music, but it fits the setting. We usually just take a booth in the bar area if it's open. Always a good view of the tv's and space away from the hustle and/or crying children in the dining area. The service is ok, but obviously I keep coming back because the food is awesome. I love just about everything on the menu, especially the brisket nachos. Holy Moly those are some good nachos. I always leave overly stuffed with rolls, potatos, mac n cheese (which is to literally die for) steak, shrimp, and any other goodness my tastebuds desire. The only disappointments I've had were in the dining area, which is another reason I prefer to sit in or at the bar. Once I went specifically for ribs. I ordered a half rack, only to be told they were out of half racks. I could purchase a full rack, but I did not need a full rack. Couldn't they just cut the full rack in half? Apparently not. That same night, our server was obviously rushing us, forgetting things, and trying to clean the table while we were still eating. Then while we were waiting for our check, I see him over by the door chatting it up with his girlfriend who I guess was waiting for him. Maybe that's why he was in such a hurry. Another time this same guy wasn't serving our table, but had the girl who was serving our table ask me if I had a boyfriend. I do have a boyfriend, thank you, but now I feel awkward while I'm trying to eat. Another time, the place was hopping as usual, we were seated promptly, got our food promptly, server was polite and friendly... but she had checked on us/ interrupted us so many times that we started timing it. Every 2 minutes on the dot she would circle around and ask us if everything was ok. Everything was ok, every. single. time. My boyfriend and I eventually just stopped trying to conversate with each other at all because of the constant interruption. She was doing the same thing to her other tables as well. Idk which is worse, the ones who abandon you or the ones that make you think you might as well have gone on a date with them instead since they consumed all of your attention for the night... But whatever, I'll never get tired of their delicious entrees and I like sitting closer to the alcohol better anyway! read more

We really enjoy the prime rib here, they have excellent salads. Do check your steak and don't hesitate to send it back if it's not done to your liking. We like the mushroom skewers better than the sauteed mushrooms which are little dinky embarrassments. But the prime rib is what keeps bringing us back! read more

This Logan's used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but in the past few years the food quality has really declined. Today we tried Logan's again, and this is the last time. My husband and I got the ribeye's cooked medium well. They were both charred, tough, and had no flavor or juices. Our son ordered cheese fries with only cheese, bacon and fries, no seasoning. The first time they came out they were stone cold. The waitress assured us it would only take a few minutes to get them remade. After 20 minutes, she told us they had made them wrong and were having to redo them yet again, but "it'll just be a minute". After another 10 minutes the manger brought out what looked like a correct order, but they were so hard you could not bite into them, but you could play tunes hitting your glass with them. The manger did adjust the bill and not charge us for the fries. Our service was excellent, but it's hard to appreciate that when all of our food was so bad! Also, the restroom needed attention. We were so disappointed to have this experience at a restaurant that used to be our favorite! I had planned on putting Logan's gift cards in my family's stockings, but I'm going down the road to Cheddars. read more

While they nodded their heads, as to understand, I now realize it was just to appear to appease me. While my meal was ordered GLUTEN FREE, it was served with Rice Pilaf. Knowing that mistakes do happen, I think what TICKED me off was that the manager never stopped by and I had to pay for a meal which has made me sick. We got there around 4:00 so it wouldn't be too busy since we had a big group of 11 people and were told to wait 30 minutes but it took them an hour to seat us and when we went in there were plenty of empty untouched tables that we could have sat at and stayed untouched the entire time we ate. Me and my mother live on a very tight fixed income and can only afford to go out to eat once a month. After saving up, we decided a good steak would be good and thought we would get that at Logan's #373 in Bristol Va. But we were sadly mistaken. I ordered the Slow and Smoked Platter with ribs and pork shoulder. When I received my meal I just couldn't eat it. The ribs were so dry that trying to eat it was like chewing on Jerky and it had no sauce on it. The piece of pork shoulder was nothing but fat with only a quarter sized piece of edible meat on it. The seasoned fries were cold and so old they were hard and not even seasoned. It was also served without any of the sauces promised on the menu and once we got our waitresses attention to ask for them they had sat around long enough to get a filmy skin on top of them. I did send it back and it was taken off our bill. My mother ordered a NY strip and it was partially burnt, dry, and just way to spicy. She was hungry enough to try and cover it in A1 sauce and get through 1/2 of it. Her sweet potato was very well cooked though and her ceasar salad tasted fine. The service was horrible as well. At one point, after waiting and trying to get our waitresses attention, who was in view of our table, for 10mins my mother had to get up and go ask her to wait on us. She had stood not 20ft away leaning against the bar messing her phone with another waitress. For something that should be a treat for us it just left us unsatisfied and depressed that something that is so rare for us and should be a fun treat turned out to be such a let down. read more

I just spent 3 hours that I will never get back at the Bristol VA Logans, and my husband came home without even eating. Arrived at 4:50 was told a 45 min wait...should have left then. We got seated and placed an order at 6:00. At 7:00 I finally ask for a manager b/c our food was still not ready (Party of 4) the manager quickly came to the table and said she would ck on it. After a discussion with the district mgnr. who was running the front counter of the kitchen, he went back to help the cooks and she took his place. In about 10 minutes our food was brought out. The steaks were warm, nowhere near hot, but the hubby did get a HAIR with his!!! Our waiter was a hot mess from the start.... screwed up the drinks, the salads, spilt a drink on our table, slipped on the floor nearly fell. They send the check out showing an adjustment for the hairy steak, but "accidently" added an extra steak to the bill. We caught it and sent him back to get it corrected. When he returned he gave us back $50 in chg, that was actually the cost of the bill not the change due. HE DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE but doing the right thing we took out the crayons and explained to him that the math was wrong, he was cheating himself. The waitress situated us at a table that was somewhat sticky and the floor was littered with peanut shells.Moreover, there was filthy fork next to my foot that was dropped by customers god-knows how many meals prior. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to arrive and ask us about drinks. The sweet teas were beyond too sugary for a southerner such as myself. The food itself took about twenty-five minutes to come out and sat on the food line for another five minutes, because the waiter was too busy waiting with the other waiters. Needless to say, the food was not hot. Furthermore, they forgot the mac'n'cheese that I ordered as a side. The 8 ounce stake was barren with no seasoning and possessed entirely no taste at all, the mashed potatoes were obviously made from a bland powder mix, and the mac'n'cheese had the same flavor and texture of the dehydrated microwaveable bowls of mac'n'cheese that I used in the college dorms.
