    Over-cooked skewers with crunchy rice.
    Elizabeth K.

This was just tragic. My Maui Steak skewers were over cooked (I ordered medium and they were well-done crispy critters). The rice was under-cooked and crunchy. The promised grilled pineapple slice was missing. My dad's medium steak was a good cut, but also over cooked. My mom's steak was undercooked and it just seemed like someone who has never cooked beef before was at the grill tonight. The service and setting was as you expect so no complaints there. Won't be a repeat performance here.

Chopped steak with mashed potatoes, green beans

The hubs and I were on vacation in Bristol Tennessee and noticed that they had a Logan's Roadhouse. We had to go and check them out as we used to go to Logan's in Arizona. The rolls were the same, their sweet tea was da bomb sooo good. Now their potato skins loaded was very good. Definitely worth trying. Our waiter was just so great we'd come back for him. Now the hubs got a cole slaw to go with his chopped steak and it was so dry pretty inedible to be honest. Steaks were good, not great they were also slightly dry. I also ordered green beans and the green beans were Italian green beans not the green beans I normally get. All in all it was good. Best part was the waiter.

The main building is a lovely and spacious modern inn that balances comfort and traditional elements with open and wide modern floor plans and bright spaces in a pleasing way while retaining the cozy fireplace experiences of more traditional settings. A first floor outdoor veranda opposite the main entrance stretches the length of the main building overlooking the well groomed hillside vineyards and a stocked, picturesque fishing pond. The hillside stretches up the horizon and with the westward facing veranda, offers stunning sunset views along with wine service. Below is a patio off the main restaurant and bar offering even more seating around fire pits with couches and Adirondack chairs with appetizer and drinks available for the bar/restaurant. We toured a king 2 room suite with a large sitting area separated from an equally large and well appointed sleeping area with a private large balcony that also faced the western sunset over the vineyards. The rooms were described as more akin to an apartment whereas the 9 onsite yurts accommodations were described more akin to a condo, described as pet friendly and a quiet community. Behind the yurts is a large barn structure that serves as a tasting room with an outdoor seating area with Edison lights strung around the overhang creating a warm space to enjoy the vineyards end production, currently nine wine vintages. Beside the main building are two much larger shaped yurt structures housing a full fitness center and a spa as will as an outdoor pool. We dined at Hickory for dinner and enjoyed their farm to table, Appalachia oriented menus. That will be a separate review but it hits 10/10 for hospitality, service, presentation and food excellence. We plan a fall trip for an overnight stay when the vineyards come in just before harvest to get the full experience! Also, we initially had a glass of their Chardonnay and being pleased with this, we opted to enjoy a bottle with dinner even though the wine list had equally excellent choices from familiar vineyards. This is highly recommended!

BBQ tends to blend together after a while, but theirs stood out, good flavor without being overpowering, something for everybody. It's a bit more upscale and the bbq is delicious, there's a good variety of meat selections and sides, portion sizes are good and the prices are reasonable. Prices are competitive with festival food concession prices but coming here you get served and get to sit comfortably in air conditioning! The cocktails and wine are reasonable too. Glasses of house wines are $7. Most of the cocktails are $10. Pints of beer are $5. We've tried many of the meats and sides over our visits and found some of our favorites to be the peppered bacon, dry rub wings, brisket, pulled pork and the house salad. The peppered bacon comes with pickled jalapeños that work really well. The wings are meaty, smoky and crispy. The pulled pork includes crispy ends. So delicious. A house salad doesn't sound like much but the portion is generous. They provide a selection of bbq sauces and I like to blend the Stoney Creek Original with the slightly spicy Memphis sauces together. We've also had combo platters including brisket and burnt ends and those were spot-on too. Sides of fries and beans, seasoned fries, sweet potato soufflé and Mac and cheese are good too. Of the dining spots in downtown Bristol, this is our spot. It's a bit more upscale of a dining experience, the food is quality is consistent, prices are reasonable and service is attentive.

My grandchildren loved it so much that they wanted to return the following day for dinner. This visit did not go as expected. Food came out cold . Had been sitting out for a while. We barely ate our food as it was nothing like the previous evening. Seemed to be very short staffed , but our server did the best she could under the circumstances. I ordered fried okra as one of my vegetables and I never received it until we were ready to leave. Server said she put the order in 3 separate times , so it sounds like they were also short staffed in the kitchen. I had decided I would never return again or go to my local restaurant very close to my house in NC. As I was paying , the cashier asked me how our food was and I told the truth. She said the store manager would want to talk to me and make things right because they pride themselves on the quality of their food and their service. I was absolutely not trying to get free food but hoped by sharing our experience that this would help the restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and kind and I had no intention of posting a bad review giving the store the benefit of the doubt that maybe this was not the usual. I had eaten there a couple of times before on visits when I was staying at the Hilton Garden next door and everything was wonderful. I have had their dinners and breakfast in the past without any complaints. This trip I was staying at a Marriott near a lot of recommended restaurants, but I chose to drive to the other side of town to go there again after I ate there the night before with my cousins and everything was great. This store has an excellent manager who seemed very upset about what we experienced. I told him what happened and he was very apologetic and insisted on comping our food. I said that was not necessary and I did not expect that , but shared my concerns to hopefully help other customers have a better experience and to be sure this location in my hometown where locals work , would do better in the future. I had no plans to post a negative review, but after this manager went above and beyond and restored my faith in Cracker Barrel, I felt it was necessary to post a good review as any restaurant can have an "off night " due to unforeseen circumstances.

Not edible at all. Waitress brought another piece but never bothered to ask if that was better or how everything was. My grilled chicken tenders were pretty good, however, the sides (corn and green beans) were fair at best. Cracker Barrel has switched to the cheapest available canned vegetables. So sad, because I used to love their green beans. Corporate will never read or listen to complaints because all that matters is money, not quality. Honestly, done with CB unless I am desperate and there is no where else nearby.
