I was really in the mood for Texas Roadhouse, but we were starving and the closest was was way too far away. Since 'all those steakhouses are the same' we decided to just hit the Logan's close to the hotel. This was a mistake. We tried the moonshine shrimp appetizer and it was so overcooked we sent it back but asked for another that was less cooked. Our replacement was slightly better but still mostly overcooked. We think the shrimp were just waaaaay too heavily breaded to begin with. My husband's steak was mediocre and the bacon cheese fries were blah. He usually eats a lot, and even though he was starving he didn't even finish half his meal. On the good side, my steak Cobb salad was delicious and his house frozen margarita was quite good, but it still wasn't enough to make it worth it. When we come back to Chattanooga and want to eat at a steakhouse, we'll make the drive to someplace better. read more

My husband and I went to Logan's tonight. We walked to the bar area and stood by an empty table that was not cleaned. We were not acknowledged and stood there waiting for someone to clean a table. Several wait staff walked by and ignored us. Finally someone removed the beer glasses from the table. We waited a while longer and she returned and picked up the plates but did not clean the table or even acknowledge that we were standing there. After waiting 15 minutes my husband and I walked out. At least 4 wait staff saw us there; no one spoke, no even acknowledged we were there. This was not a busy night and several staff were just standing around talking with each other. We were treated like we didn't even exist and would not recommend this establishment. read more

I had a gift card from Christmas so my boyfriend and I chose to use it last night. Service was decent, nothing spectacular. The food was terrible. My boyfriend got the chicken tenders and fries and the chicken was so dry it was almost like a rock. The fries were cold, and the entire plate of them went back to the kitchen uneaten. I told him they probably cooked them at 6 for whatever kind of dinner rush they had and left them under a heat lamp. We ate around 8. I got the Caesar salad and it was drenched in dressing. I couldn't eat half of it. I'll take part blame because I should have asked for dressing on the side. Then my boyfriend had to use the restroom and when he came back, he was trying not to gag. He said it was worse then a gas station bathroom. Basically we both left feeling grossed out and vowed never to go back. Not sure how long this place will stay in business. read more

We (wife and I) went there on new years eve as the parking lot looked like we might be able to get a table with out too long of a wait. We were seated right away and thought that we would be in for a pleasant meal and then travel home for a quiet new years transition. Our server was pleasant and brought out hot fresh bread and butter promptly. Our drinks arrived soon afterwards. I ordered the hot spinach dip as an appetizer and we ordered our steaks. It took a while for the appetizer to arrive and when it did, I had to scrape most of the spinach off the sides of the bowl in order to get it mixed in with the dip. I had ordered the large ribeye and wife ordered the filet mignon. After multiple apologies and promises that our meal would be right out it finally arrived. My ribeye was barely warm, dry, absolutely no juices on the plate, and tough. This steak was possibly cooked earlier and set out under a warming lamp for sometime while all juices evaporated from it. I ate a couple bites, ate my baked potato and steamed broccoli and carried the remainder home for our dog. If you really enjoy hot rolls with butter, then go to Logan's for those. Can't recommend them for the steaks, can't recommend them for the peanuts as our table did not have any in the bucket. I have eaten at Logan's restaurants in my travels all over the states, but I will not return to this one as it was not up to par and a waste of my hard earned money.. Bottom line: Slow food service, poor quality steaks, and uncaring management at this location. read more

It's not good when the best part of your steak lunch is the complimentary peanuts. I ordered the onion brewski sirloin, to be cooked medium. 30 minutes later and after three times of hearing my server promise my was 'coming right up', it arrived. It was cooked well-done instead of medium, rendering the steak barely edible. The cole slaw was dry like they ran out of mayonnaise. The mashed potatoes were the consistency of baby food. At least the peanuts were good. I'll not be coming back. Ever. read more

This place used to be good. I've been eating there since that location opened but I'll never go back. It's gotten progressively slower & lower quality. They took about 1 hour 20 minutes to bring out two raw steaks tonight. They were brown on the outside & completely raw most of the way through. No apologies from the staff & I refused to pay for the steaks. I'll never visit Logan's on 153 again, it was so bad I may never visit another Logan's. read more

The only redeeming part of this evenings experience was the waitress, she tried hard but was stuck working in an establishment that desperately needs to be cleaned. The Brisket Nachos were inedible, the waitress was kind enough to bring sour cream and jalapeños to try to help. Too little to make a significant improvement . The Buffalo Wings were bland and not worth the effort to eat them, certainly not worth the price. read more

I have been getting the kicking chicken salad for years. My last experience was the second worst meal in my life. Someone should know better such a tough nasty chicken. The tomato was mostly green and white with a hint of white. I threw the meal away. We are done with this place. The first time we went we waited FOREVER for our food and it wasn't that busy. We went yesterday for Father's Day and there were people waiting, which we expected, BUT there were many open tables and we were told there would be a 20 minute wait. Didn't understand why there were people waiting when there were empty tables. When we finally sat down at the table we unwrapped our silverware and there were chunks of food on both of our silverware. It was gross. My husband got us each another set from the hostess and it was the same thing. Our server was wonderful and took back the silverware and brought us new, but it was barely acceptable. After that the service was fine, very good server and the food came out fast, although my husbands steak was too rare. He ate it anyway cuz we just wanted to get out of there. Side note: while we were waiting there were kitchen employees going in and out the front door with grossly dirty aprons on, probably taking breaks? When greeted by our server Rachel it seemed as if she didn't want to even be there. Not very approachable. Both me and my boyfriend work in the food industry so I was still trying to give her a chance. After she brought our drinks, she asked if we were ready to order, but we wanted to do the cheese dip as an appetizer and went ahead with our order anyways. When the appetizer came to the table, the dip was ice cold. It took Rachel 17 minutes to return to the table after receiving drinks and appetizer. She had two other tables at the time and seemed to be pretty attentive to them. When she finally made her way back to the table I told her the dip was cold, she didn't really seem to care. Just responded with "ok". We were also out of drinks at this point, which didn't matter clearly. I ordered a strip medium rare with a salad that I got two or three minutes after getting my steak, and my boyfriend ordered country fried steak with cinnamon apples, which had no apples, just sauce. By the time I was able to eat my steak it was more a medium from sitting there while I tried to gulp my salad down. When she finally came back to the table I told her to simply bring the check. I get a server being "in the weeds", but she most certainly wasn't it. It took her a good five minutes to greet us because she was on her phone. Then after that she had maybe 3-4 table touches throughout the meal. I never complain because I get some things aren't the servers fault, but she seemed to really hate the fact we were there when honestly we could have been her best tip of the night and easiest table. If her attitude was different the salad, steak, cheese dip would have been okay, but not her nor the manager(s) were apologetic or seemed to care. Won't be returning and don't recommend. read more

We used to eat here often but the prices just kept increasing. The food Is not that good. Something as simple as a cheese stick appetizer should not cost $8. Their chicken fingers are now over $10. Steaks? Even the medium rare ribeye is usually too tough to chew and costs over $15. It's no surprise that they are closing so many stores across the country. read more

BY FAR THE WORST FOOD I'VE EVER HAD! We will NEVER go back!! For the money we could have gone to any number of GOOD restaurants!! I had the shrimp salad.......the shrimp had a metal taste to them that I still can't get out of my mouth! The server was nice............but the manager was a bit condescending saying they've never had a complaint about their shrimp before. LOL!! The food was good although the ceasar salad was completely soaked in dressing. I'm giving a 1 star rating bc our server, jes, was not polite. We came in at a very slow time of day and there was only a few other people at the bar she was waiting on and she was not busy. She never smiled at us and when I would say "thank you" she would not respond back or say your welcome or even look up at us. Just a vibe that she did not want to wait us. And we'll probably never be back bc of this unwelcoming feeling. It's not hard to be friendly or polite to a customer. That's part of your job. read more

My. Wife and I ordered rib eye steaks medium hers was well done mine was Cut 1/2 inch thick no way was it 12oz been a meatcutter for 40 yrs. they took my wife's back so it would be medium comeback barely cooked. Wasted 50 bucks should of left. read more

Believe it or not we go here for the salads all the time. They are great. Try the Sonoma Chicken salad. I have never had a steak here. My only knock on this place is that the service can be a little slow. read more

My husband and I went to Logan's in Hixson for what we hoped we be a good meal like we usually get. However, the whole evening was terrible as soon as we walked in. The hostesses couldn't figure out where to seat us (even though it was not very busy). After finally seating us the server came over and greeted us and took our drink order. When I opened my napkin to get my utensils I noticed a dried piece of rice on the knife. We told the server and she apologized and took our order for the food. My husband's Caesar salad was brought to him and the greens were wilted, the croutons were stale and the dressing was soured. The server took it back to the kitchen to get another one. The pork chops he ordered were brought out and they were charred badly on the outside and hard as a rock on the inside. We again told the server and she went to talk to the manager. We could see the manager and two other gentlemen talking and after several minutes, we finally got up to leave. My husband went over to the manager to tell him of our experience and all he said was "can we get you something else?" No, I'm not going to take the chance of having my food sabotaged in the kitchen. We usually enjoy going to Logan's, but no more. We have noticed over the past few months that the service and quality of food has gone down and the prices have gone up.
