The restaurant was very clean and the people who greeted us were extremely nice. The biggest issue we had was with our server ("Tayy Bay"). She was not very personable or friendly. It was almost an inconvenience for her to help us. She never asked if we wanted appetizers, never came to see how our meal was once it was delivered to us, and toward the end of the meal she just dropped of the check and said "no hurry", but never asked if we needed anything else or wanted dessert. We asked for rolls on 2 different occasions and we were ignored. The food was really good. The only issue we had was one of the ribeye steaks was very grisly, but no one came to ask how we were so how do you let them know. They would have gotten a 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for our server (we witnessed another server who was awesome with her customers). But then again a manager never came around to see how anyone we doing during the time we were there. read more

Brandon was my server. He was pleasant, prompt and overall did a nice job. I ate lunch here as I was out of town on business. I ordered the NY Strip/ broccoli/mashed potatoes. All of the food was good. I ordered my steak medium, but half of it was rare. I did not send back as at that point I was full. Let's be honest, if you are looking for a medium to high end steak house Logan's is not your restaurant. For a quick lunch by myself it was fine. Meridian, MS is not a restaurant mecca, BTW! I love Logan's Roadhouse and am a loyal guest at their restaurants. So, when we stopped in to grab a bite to eat, I was quite excited. From the start the experience was horrible! The server was clearly ready to go and made no effort in hiding the fact she wasn't happy about being sat a table . . . She took our drink order, forgetting one the drinks. She took the app order and asked if we would like rolls. After several minutes, she arrived with the rolls and took the entree order, a sirloin; medium rare, a salad, and macaroni and cheese. The salad came out before our app of fried pickles; which arrived a few minutes later. The app was about half the size of what it should have been. Our food took far too long for a medium rare steak. The server never stopped by the table to refill drinks and even neglected her other tables (which were very very few; the restaurant was dead). When the food finally came out, the steak was over done and an extremely poor cut that should have never been served. The server dropped by once to check on us, never even looking us in the eye, then proceeded to disappear. The table was never cleared from the appetizer and the server had someone else drop off the check. This location is in severe need of new management and servers, since there was a serious lack of interest/purpose/urgency/caring at all. Managers were hanging around eating, bussers were sitting in booths, and servers were clearly ignoring their guests. Needless to say, we will not be back again. read more

I am giving Logan's one star because the steak was halfway decent (although cold, as were the mashed potatoes). We dined in the bar - the service was TERRIBLE. The pre-occupied bartender finally addressed us several minutes after we sat. After she asked my husband if he'd like something to drink, she turned her back to him to talk to another employee - finally turned back around and asked him to repeat himself. Our food was delivered by someone else (which is usually great, because it's not sitting in the window, so it's no problem) - last night, though, the food was cold. We had empty drinks, and had to flag someone down to get another one. The bartender disappeared several times for lonnnng periods of time (returning with cell phone in hand). We even had to wait for our ticket and to-go box. We will NEVER go to Logan's again, and we will not recommend it to anyone. read more

Ordered a steak on 1/27/2013 they didn't get it right on the first time so I sent it back I waited for 45 minutes before I got my steak back. When I got it back it was undercooked so I sent it back again and when I got it back it was tough and over cooked. I would say this Logan's sucks I am never eating at that Logan's again!!! read more

First of all we were surprised that they only had 2 stars. Secondly I should have heeded the review and gone somewhere else. But they were only across the street from our hotel. Sorry Yelp. Walked in at prime time and wondered where the customers were. They must have heeded the Yelp reviews. Ordered the chicken fried steak and 10 minutes later was told that they couldn't make it. But it was on the menu. Went to plan B and ordered the BBQ. Wife got the loaded potato soup. Both were fairly decent earning the one star. BUT. She ordered a sprite which tasted like it came from a container that was opened a year ago. Told the server and she brought another. Same stale taste. Tried water and again the rainwater barrel taste. I thought it was her so I tried it with the same result. We ate what we ordered without drinks and left wondering if what we drank would catch up with us later. Moral of the story, "Heed the Yelp reviews." read more

I had read some bad reviews about this restaurant, but I had a good experiences in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, so after not being able to be seated at the nearby Cracker Barrel, my husband and I decided to stop here for a late lunch. Our waitress was amazing. She was so so nice, a true representative of Southern hospitality. Everything was, "Can I get you anything else, love?" and "Are y'all okay, love?" The waitresses worked together to make sure our orders and requests arrived quickly. The food was excellent too. I had the steak Cobb salad, medium rare, and he had the ribeye, also medium rare. Another waitress, maybe the head waitress, maybe the manager, made sure we were happy with our steaks before she left the table. We will definitely try here again. read more

Every one of our four orders came out incorrectly- asked for blue cheese got cheddar, asked for avocado, didn't get any. Silverware was missing. Refills on drinks didn't come. We had to ask another waitress that was walking by to get us refills. Our waitress then stopped by after we clearly finished our food and asked if everything was alright- not if she could get us drink refills or dessert or anything. Stopped in for a nice dinner after long day of traveling. Poor service and quality of food. I ordered the 6oz filet and lobster tail. Dishes were dirty and took awhile to get drinks. The Lobster smelled fishy...It was very chewy and the rice it was served on was cold so I couldn't finish it. The steak was sent back since it was on the rare side. Sent it back to the kitchen and it came back after everyone's meal was finished. Steak had a nice flavor. Sides were just ok but when you're paying $24.99 everything should be very good. The fried pickles were good as an appetizer and the tea was sweet. That's about all the good things I can say. We Won't make the mistake again and stop there in the future. This is not the Resturant it used to be. I have been there 3 times before writing a review to ensure it wasn't a fluke. Service is slow, you have to ask for what normal things like napkins, silverware, refills. I arrived at 5:30 hoping to beat the Saturday rush. I was seated promptly. (Nice). Then it took 10 minutes and the waitress greeted me with." Has anybody done took yo order?" (Not nice, or proper English ). Then upon taking my order, 15 minutes later I received some hot rolls, no silverware, no napkins. Another 10 minutes go by and I receive my salad, still no silverware or napkins. ( not nice). When I caught her 3 minutes later I had to ask for something to eat my salad with and a refill. Another 12 mins and my steak arrived at the hands of the "service manager" who asked " please cut into that steak right there and make sure it is cooked right" and then walks off before I can even pick up my knife. I ordered the 16 oz prime rib and asked for it to be prepared medium which should have been 50% red center. Mine was 75-80% which by definition is rare. The steak was cold and the fat has gelled on the steak as well as the au jus sauce. (Not nice). I would like to think for $30.00 per meal you could at lest get what you asked for. However, that is not possible at this location so I will not be back and will be an avid spokesperson against anyone desiring to try their luck. read more

I was very skeptical about eating here due to the negative reviews. I'm very big on reviews. I'm definitely a picky person. My husband said we should try it and be our own judge. I'm so glad we did. We ordered fried mushrooms as our appetizer. They were really good. Fried mushrooms are my favorite! We both ordered the Roadhouse burger along with a salad (instead of fries). We were full so we asked them to put the burgers in a box so we could take them back to the hotel room. We never even saw them until we got ready to eat them. I was kind of nervous about that. They were great! Our server was good and the manager was even better. I would definitely recommend this place. BTW LOGAN'S IS UNDER NEW MNGMT. Ate at this Logans last night. Service was incredible and everything was perfect. Previously tried and wrote a bad review at Hoover, Al on Saturday, June 24th, Logans due to the poor service there. That is not the case in Meridian. The staff in Meridian have it down to an art. This is not the first great experience at the Meridian location. The manager always walks around and checks on us. Every time. The Meridian location could give the Hoover one some training. No joke. The best service and attitude in Meridian Logans. read more

Bad hosts, bad manager, bad cooks. We were seated in an apparent closed section and waited 20 minutes for someone to even take a drink order. The manager and several other restaurant staff passed by our table numerous times. My husband finally went to the hostess stand and spoke to the manager. He was not given an apology, but sent a waitress over. We could see him berating the wait staff. It was obvious that the hosts had never informed the waitress that she would need to take our table initially. Our waitress was very friendly and apologetic, which was our 1 high point. Unfortunately it still took a bit for our waters and lemonades, and she forgot one of the lemonades and had to go back for it. At the time we all got our drinks, we had been in the restaurant a half hour! The food was mediocre. I had ordered the fried cheese bacon burger with no tomatoes and pickles medium well. I received a burger that was extremely well done and dry. It came with tomatoes and no dressing that was supposed to come on it. The waitress gave us 20% off our order, but the manager never came back over to check how our meal was or to apologize. With so many other chain restaurants in town, we won't waste our time on this one again. read more

I was passing through on July 9,2017 and stayed La Quinta in the area. The server did not know anything about being a server. She ( a black lady) was rude and did not talk to us at all. She kept saying that she told someone to bring out our food but then it did not come out. My husband's fish and chips were extremely greasy. We were charged for a side item that we were told we could substitute at no additional cost. The service was awful. Could not get our waiter's attention when I needed a different steak sauce. Never saw him after the food was delivered. Also not comfortable with a bunch of hooded young men coming in and walking through the restaurant. When we left the restaurant they were outside sitting on cars. We headed out to Logan's and were pleasantly surprised from the moment we had the front door opened and held for us by an employee who greeted us as we entered. We headed straight for the bar. Our bartender was "E". She had a great personality and proved to be a star bartender. She made our drinks (martinis) to perfection, exactly as we ordered them. They were very decent sized happy hour martinis. Everybody in this restaurant seemed to be working together to make the experience enjoyable. Kudos to the management who must be doing something right. We ordered happy hour wine just before happy hour ended. E saw we were still working on our martinis and said she would ring them up at happy hour prices and wait to serve them when we were ready. We ordered salmon and a filet with grilled shrimp. My steak was ordered rare and it actually came out rare! As soon as it arrived E said, check the steak and be sure it is cooked properly! The salad that came with my steak was huge! (We split it.) My only complaint was that the filet was a little chewy but just slightly. Overall a solid A experience. Probably the best Logan's we have been to, and we visit a lot all over the country! read more

I have read all the negative comments about this Logan's. It almost scared me away! I am very glad it didn't. The service was good but the food was better! At this point I am thinking the complaints were perhaps an attempt at free food OR MANAGEMENT has changed. The food and service here is as good or better than most Logan's. This has got to be the slowest service ever experienced. All other surrounding restaurants were busy and had long waits. This one had plenty of available parking spots and seats. Can see why now. Once we got our food (about 45 minutes later) the steak was cold and over cooked and the side items were steaming hot as if cooked in microwave. I was very disappointed in the Logan' in Meridian, Ms. I have never had a problem with my local Logan's. I told my server that I was gluten free. Asked her to pls tell the cook. Showed her the gluten free menu, showed her it said minus the rice. My husband stressed that I would get sick. She brought my plate back with rice on it. And she informed me that she told the cook. Supposedly the rice is NOT gluten free. So we sent the plate back. Within one min I had a "new" meal. We all know that it wasn't. I ate the potato, the veggies and a portion of the meat (which was what was on the rice. She came by and asked how long I had been on my gluten free diet? I said it's not a diet and it's been 5 years. My husband again stressed that I would be very sick if I ate gluten. We still had 11 hours left on our travels. Within 15-20 of leaving he had to pull over for me to get sick. We had to stop at a store so I could be sick there. Here it is almost 5 hours later and I'm still sick to my stomach! Please Logan's of Meridian MS, train your staff!!! Also, teaching them not to HOVER over someone who is signing their bill to see how much of a tip they will get is very bad manners!! And she didn't give me my receipt that had the break down of my items. So please, again, train the staff!! Oh and our server never offered my husband the bread.
