It was date night and for some reason my wife wanted to go to Logan's roadhouse. Though it was busy we were seated immediately upon checking in with the hostess. They have a good selection of beers and the cocktail my wife ordered was quite good. Like any chain there was nothing super special about the food but I must say it was seasoned and cooked well. The music was too loud however when my wife ask the manager to turn it down a little bit they did that immediately. I'm not the biggest fan of chain restaurants but this is one that would be worth returning to. read more

The 2 stars are for the awesome drinks and friendly service, but the food is terrible. My friends seem to love doing their birthday dinners here. I keep telling myself to not go back, but these birthday events lure me in. The yellow, shredded cheese on the salad tastes like plastic. I'm serious, try it for yourself next time. I once found a fingernail clipping in the gravy on my Chicken Fried Steak!!! Yuck! (Never again!) If you order a steak, expect it to be more undercooked than you asked for it to be... Went with a couple of friends for Happy Hour. Arrived right at 5:00 pm and it was almost empty. Got our drink order pretty quickly, and then waited probably 15 minutes for server to return to take food orders. We ordered appetizers and then proceeded to wait for more than an hour for our food to come out...for three appetizers. During that time it took probably 45 minutes to get second drink orders. While we were waiting the place started to fill up and we noticed other tables getting their food who had come in long after us. Asked our server what was up and she apologized but had no explanation. FINALLY got our food and half of it was cold and all of it was mediocre. Giving them 2 stars instead of `1 because our server was sweet and they do have a nice selection of beer and other drinks for Happy Hour. Still won't be going back. read more

Unfortunately, this experience was less satisfying. My ribeye steak was more medium, than medium-rare, and was the toughest ribeye I have ever had. The rice pilaf was equally disappointing - dry and flavor-less - and a very small portion to boot. At least the broccoli was good. If we hadn't been in such a hurry to hit the road, I would have sent it back, but as I said, we were in a hurry. A waste of $29.99. On the other hand, my wife's onion-brewski chicken was very good - moist & tender. And the mac & cheese was actually quite good. Usually love Logan's for the laid back atmosphere & great food at a good price. Tonight I was not as impressed as I normally am. From start to finish we were at Logan's for over 2.5 hours, most of which was spent waiting for a table and/or food. We were originally told our wait would take about 20-25 minutes but we ended up waiting 45 minutes to be pulled back. We were sat in a corner table next to a couple of young men who came in after us & were seated before us. They were cursing & talking loudly on their phones & were served & waited on much more than my husband & I. The young guy had mentioned working there & was very familiar with the staff. We placed our order almost immediately after sitting down & still waited an additional 45 minutes to get our food. Our appetizer was good, but our entrees were not worth the price nor wait. Our waitress was nice enough but didn't make up for sub par food, wait time, & service. Overall very disappointing & unimpressive. read more

The only thing I was able to eat at Logans was peanuts and bread. Also my first time to visit a Logans Restaurant. We sat for a whole hour waiting for our food. 3 waitresses came to our table looking at us confused as we were confused. When our food finally showed up almost an hour later of just sitting and wondering, the steaks were cold...we paid for our drinks and left. Never going back. Poor service. The food is good. It's a little weird walking into a restaurant with nutshells all over the floor, however, that is the type of environment they are aiming for. I went in with a group of 8 and considering the fact we had so many people, they sat us extremely fast. I ordered the French dip and the wait wasn't to long, however, the plate presentation was messy. Our server, Ashley, was Amazing she forgot a few things, but she was on top of it and did her job well. Three of us went there for lunch. The service was poor. We were greeted promptly, given menus and brought water. Then we didn't see our server for 10 minutes! And only after we requested she come take our order. We were brought rolls that were awful. Tough and not like the usual light, tender yeast rolls we come here to enjoy. When our food finally arrived, the French dip sandwiches were cool and the au jus was only luke-warm. We discovered mushrooms on the sandwiches, and had to ask for one to be re-made without mushrooms. By the time the replacement sandwich arrived, our lunch hour was over. This is my second review of Logan's. My first only commented on the food since we were staying in the hotel next door and got our food to,go. Finally got a chance to eat in and was not disappointed. Very casual atmosphere, great service, and the food was excellent. I had the salmon with vegetables and my wife had prime rib and mashed potatoes. We split the chocolate cake for desert. Love this place and plan to come back. read more

Ordered online and waited 1 hr to pick it up and when I got there I was informed that my order was given to someone else. So now I sit here for another for another hour for them to re fire my order. I really love to eat here and even do takeout for the family, but it was a huge disappointment this day. I spent over a hundred dollars and I was not happy with the wait time. I live out of the area, been coming here for years. Started dreaming on Hwy 5 in the neighborhood of Corning, I new I was passing through Redding last night, couldn't resist had to stop at Logan's. WOW... very disappointed I got Country Fried Steak, wife picked out a filet. Both of our meals were not at all up to their usual standards. My county fried steak tasted bland and well over cooked. Wife's filet was ordered med. rare. Meat was dry and like a very cheap cut, extremely cheap cut. Both of our smashed potatoes were unseasoned beyond belief. We piled on the salt and pepper to no avail. They lost me as a long time patron of over 9 years. I must say the servicer Stephanie was great. You know, the staff here are always really nice. But I have to tell you the food is always hit or miss. So are the drinks. Sometimes the food is OK (never great) and sometimes it is just horrible. I ordered the brisket sandwich yesterday and when I went to cut it in half the hoagie roll actually broke in two under the weight of the knife. The brisket was heated up from a day or two before and slate gray all the way through. I couldn't finish it as it was just bad. We usually order a Logan's Tea for a cocktail but also jacked that up. Bummed because really good people --but they have to get their offerings standardized. read more

We've stopped here regularly on our travels between SoCal and Portland. When we arrived to eat, it was 4:30. The hostess went into the restaurant ( presumably to find us a table), and returned, motioning for us to follow her back outside. We found ourselves behind the restaurant sitting at a table in the parking lot, without being given a reason ( or a choice to sit at the bar). It was over 100 degrees. From there, things went downhill. Everything took a long time ( we understand with COVID things are challenging). My husband's steak was undercooked. But the lack of care, communication, and having to sit in the parking lot was a great disappointment. Oh and then there was the family who didn't have masks on when they came in. After we finished our meal someone ( the manager?) came by to ask us how everything was, and we were honest. He said he was sorry and took our phone number (?) and that was the end of it. It was also the end of our visits to this restaurant. They can't seem to get it together, so we will take our business elsewhere. read more

this trip to logan's was very displeasing. we love their rolls and they were flat and very doughy. we asked the waitress for new rolls, more cooked, and she replied, 'oh that's just how our rolls are'. we know for a fact that they are always way more cooked. that waitress never returned with new rolls. we asked a different waitress for more rolls and she came with rolls literally cooked the same exact way. we then wanted some A1 sauce but the waitress didn't come by within the next few minutes so we took it upon ourselves and grabbed some from a counter. the A1 sauce came out super watery, not normal at all. it seemed as if they had watered down the sauce a lot to make it last longer. my dad and his girlfriend then ordered two beers which didn't come within the next 15 minutes. my dad walked to the bar and asked about it and the waitress replied with some snarky comment that i don't remember. we finally got the two beers after around 35 minutes. after all of this we paid full price for a meal that was not of satisfactory taste. will not be returning to logan's for a while. maybe they're rolls will actually be cooked in a few months... read more

Hostess told us it would be about 10-15 minutes to sit find a seat. We had asked for a booth to be more comfortable. After being seated we waited 15 minutes and only thing we had was peanuts already on the table and no one came to ask us if we wanted any water or order or anything. People sat directly behind us in a booth server came right up and asked what they wanted to drink, they had something to drink immediately. We waited two more minutes and they ended up placing the order. It seemed that we were invisible so my wife and I got up took the menus up front and left. Maybe it was just a bad night, I don't know, but I wasn't very impressed. There's no reason at all, and no excuse, to least be asked what we would like to have to drink as we are seated. read more

I have loved the food from day one but in the last few months the service has been atrociousthe appetizers should come before the meal not after!! It shouldn't take 35 minutes to have someone come take my order, I shouldn't have to beg for water and when I order a beer I shouldn't wait 25 minutes for it and then have to go to the bar to ask for my drink because no one will come by our table to check on us. Let me start off by saying the service was Great! The steak-not so great. My wife and I both ordered the 12oz Ribeye and shrimp. $26.99. The grilled shrimp, broccoli, salad and rolls were excellent. The steak was bland and had zero seasoning. Both steaks. I informed our server who notified the manager. He came over and apologized and said "he would take 50% off." Add on Shrimp price: $6.99 I informed the server about the bill and it was corrected. Total deduct was $27.00. How does that make any sense? We didn't eat the steak. He should have removed the entire steak cost from our bill. BUT, when the owner of this place is about as tight as anyone in the world, this is to expected. Lesson learned yet again Mr. JW. I ordered lobster for 35.99 and it didn't come with the drawn butter like the menu said so I asked the server for some butter and he brought me Pan and Grill. I asked for some real butter again and he brought me some frothy butter that had dill in it. I asked for just some real butter and he brought butter with dill again. When I got my food the lobster was already Luke warm and when I finally got my real butter my lobster was cold and the rice that the lobster was served on was cold to begin with. Mine and my husbands baked potato was supposed to be loaded my husbands didn't have any butter and they didn't have any chives or bacon on them. My husband ordered medium rare prime Rib it was a reheated piece of meat and it was cooked to medium. The rolls were not fresh either. Yesterday, after a super long day of driving in horrible conditions we checked into our hotel next door and decided we should eat something. Having just driven from Portland (almost 9 hours with the bad weather) in snow and ice, we didn't really want to drive anywhere else. Luckily, our hotel was right next to this place and we decided to check it out. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were brought to us. I believe our server was named Joshua? He was really nice and always popped up exactly when we needed him. It was like he was psychic. He was also pretty funny too, which I think is always a nice quality in a server. Very efficient guy. I was personally ravenous, exhausted, and past the point of caring so I ordered the fried cheese & bacon burger. They also brought over some super hot bread and a bunch of butter. Really nice! I also like the peanuts at the table for something to munch on while waiting for your food or to place your order. The burger I got was really good. A good, solid burger. A bunch of fries. Slightly too salty, didn't really eat much of those. My boyfriend really enjoyed his tri-tip sandwich that he ordered. He said that places tend to make them a little on the dry side and this one wasn't. Anyways, I think this place was pretty darn good. Especially if you're staying in one of the hotels next door. New York strip was asked to be cooked well done. One side of the NY was nicely cooked but the other side was chard. The Logan Sirloin was asked to be cooked medium but showed up rare to raw. They tried to re-cooking it twice but both times it came out rare, medium, well done and chard. Full Rack of Ribs was tasty good but dry. Calamari was over cooked. Manager said that their grills are set to one temperature and they are not setup for multiple temperatures. read more

This place reminds me of a saloon back in my hometown, and it immediately warmed my heart. Once you're seated the environment is comfortable and you can have a lot of fun without feeling out of place. The food is heavenly (I recommend the tiny burgers ) and their drinks are delicious. Walking in this place may cause coronary heart attacks. This place is why Americans are getting dumb and fat. The beef is flash frozen with an ammonia based preservative in Colorado and then shipped over by Sysco food trucks. My daughter and I stopped in here when passing through Redding because it looked like they had good food. Well one knows not to judge a book by its cover! After one hour we both got sick. Pretty much your typical chain steakhouse. Most of the menu is fried aside from the steaks. If you want cheap food at a semi cheap price then this is for you. read more
