During a recent camping trip we needed a break from the cook and clean that was our lives. We down to Redding and hit this great Roadhouse, very similar to Texas Roadhouse and others of the like name. I had a great slab of ribs and beans, and the salads were great too. The Roadhouse tea is an awesome concoction, and you can never go wrong with Sweet Tea! The service was nice and pleasant and pretty quick. I would go back the next time we are in Redding and throw some more peanuts on the floor. read more

I've always been incredibly satisfied with this place, but tonight my fiancé and I came in and our server was Ashley, she was incredibly nice and made sure we had everything we wanted and made sure everything was correct. The food was perfect, as usual, and we had a great time. What stood out which wouldn't have happened anywhere else, my fiancé left his to-go box and she ran it out to us in the pouring rain! This place is garbage when it comes to making steaks or BBQ ribs. I been here 3 times. I order the Prime Rib Steak medium rare and all 3 times it came out well done. I had to send it back once for it and it was still over cooked. It takes for ever to get your food. They seem understaff. I would not recommend this place at all! Our family eats here routinely for birthdays and other event type things. If I would have written this review 6 months ago, it would have been 5 stars, but the last two times we have gone here, it seems like things are going the wrong way. With that said, my ribeye last night was absolutely perfect. My mashed potatoes were disgusting and my wife's steak was overdone. They serve free delicious bread rolls, they are VERY good. If you want a quiet place to eat, this is not the place. They play loud music and the staff is very animated......I don't mind the noise though, I like the energy in the place. Had a Roadhouse Tea this time (their version of a Long Island) and it was good but I wasn't blown away. This is a great place to eat and I hope they get their standards back up. read more

LOVE the hot sweet rolls with oodles of butter! MMMM! The peanuts all over the floor are a lot of fun. Plus they are actually taste pretty good. I went here the other night for a girls night out. It's a fun place to go. We hadn't been in a while. We ordered Ribs, Grilled Teriyaki Chicken, & Salads. The meals were....HORRENDOUS! Bluh! I wanted to cry because I worked a ton of hours that week. So it was my only fun outing that week. What a disappointment. The ribs were so greasy and fatty I wouldn't even feed them to my dog. So they were super nice and gave us a brownie to take home. I went to dinner here tonight with a group of friends and I must say I was very unimpressed. It had been about 3 years since I had eaten here, and I remembered it being a fun place to eat, with good food , drinks and service. The service wasn't terrible but the food they served me tonight was ridiculous. Cold fries, rubbery sandwiches and overpriced drinks. I didn't taste a hint of alcohol in my 'roadhouse' tea. We went for lunch, and they got us in and out in about an hour. They were able to split the checks with out a fuss. YAY! We got service with a smile, and enjoyed tossing the peanut shells on the floor. The fresh rolls were piping hot, but they held out meal so that we could get rolls before our meal came out. Came on a Saturday night around 5:30, family of four, had been traveling down I5 for some time and were tired and ready for a break. Waited 15 minutes for seating, and were given a pleasant and attentive server. The beer, bread and salads were prompt, the meal was neither timely nor tasteful. For $60 for a family of four I'd rather have eaten something of quality and made fresh, not reheated and sloshed in sauce for flavor. Might be great for a group wanting large beers and bar style appetizers, but definitely wasn't worth stopping for dinner. We won't be back. read more

Huge portions! Really great rolls. Good drinks. Food is basic at times. For example their chicken strips taste like McNuggets, (I'm not even joking, it's actually hilarious) which we found humorous but not exactly what you want from a restaurant. Logan's Roadhouse is Texas Roadhouse wanna be, but did not meet the caliber. They had the exact same peanuts in the bucket, steak menu and fresh rolls like Texas Roadhouse. The rolls were pretty much just rolls, nothing like the small, hot, soft ones at Texas Roadhouse. We had the chicken country fried steak and the grilled salmon Ceasar salad. The country fried chicken was made of processed chicken mashed with a fried dough and fried. Nothing extraordinary. The salmon was grilled with herb, placed on top of a Ceasar salad. The salmon was pretty good. The price of the entree is reasonable. They have tons of beer on taps. The waitress who served us was friendly. We didn't have to wait to be seated. I come through Redding twice a year on business. Given what's available locally, I often end up at Logan's Road House on the return trip (walking distance), to unwind and relax before the final leg home (from Portland to LA). It's been hit and miss and mostly miss. Tonight, I had a rib eye that was both tough and fatty. How do you do that? The one I had at the Holiday Inn in Portland was far better. Really? The Holiday Inn? The staff was professional and did their job correctly. Thank you, BTW for not having them pretend to hit on me (57 years old) like last time. It saved us both from the embarrassment. I waited until the end, when I told my server about my experience (who did a fine job and got her 20%), I wasn't looking for a discount or a "freebie". I just want management to up their game the next time I come through. Let's see what you can do. We went for dinner at Logan's Roadhouse in Redding, CA I ordered a petite sirloin medium rare, it came out medium well. I sent it back and I was put in the line at the end. It took over 20 min. to get the steak and when I cut into it, it was raw. I had already eaten my 2 sides and did not want to wait again, so we paid for our meal and then asked for the manager. Because this was a re-do I should have been put in the first position for a new steak, not wait 20 min. The manager was less than helpful and offered no remedy. He stated that the only thing he could do was speak to the cook. This was not the first time we had a bad experience and will not be back to this restaurant. read more

Not what I remember. Peanuts on the table are the same. The complimentary bread is a far cry from what they started with. No where as good. I opted for the "Original Roadhouse Burger". Wasn't very impressed. I've gotten better burgers at Carl's Jr (6 dollar burger) for less. The service was ok. Although I felt like my daughter and I were put in a corner and forgotten about at times. The server was nice enough but she was the only one working. Ugh. I really wanted this to be better. The upside in our visit was the chips. They seemed to be fresh and made that day. Very tasty. That and the wonderfully cold Sam Adam's on tap. Had it not been for the Sam Adams and awesome chips, 2 stars would of been the rating. In a town of some good roadhouse food, Logans needs to bring their a-game. read more

This place reminds me of Outback. The food will never be amazing, but it will never be bad. The servers are friendly, the bar has good deals, and you will be able to watch a game. I doubt I will ever find myself thinking "You know, I am just craving a steak from Logan's" but when I travel and I see one I often catch myself thinking "Hey, at least there will be a decent bar where I can grab a decent meal."
