We've been to Logan's twice now and I've had really good experiences both times. This evening we went for a quick dinner and it didn't disappoint. We were sat immediately, and our waitress. Ashlyn, was prompt to greet us. She was very attentive and quick with drink refills and brought everything out in good timing. We had house salads, and we commented on how crisp they were in cold plates, making such a big difference. For our meals, we had salmon, ribs and steak entrees w sweet and loaded baked potatoes. The salmon was seasoned well and the sweet potato w cinnamon was hot and tasty. The steak and ribs were also done very well, cooked properly. Perhaps I am just not bourgeois enough but I will take a steakhouse like this over any fancy steakhouse, any day. $17.99 for a 6 oz Filet Mignon with two sides, and fluffy glossy yeast rolls with butter is just a dream. My steak was perfectly cooked and wonderfully tender as well. I didn't know Summerville or the Charleston area had a Logans until today. We went to the Movies and decided to have an early dinner before hand. I was excited to see a Logans Steakhouse right next to the theatre. Everything was good from the wait time to the food. We didn't actually have a wait time. Got there about 4:30pm. The place was clean and not over crowded but not empty. The only true complaint I would have is the waitress didn't check on us enough, we had to flag her down every time to ask for a drink refill or boxes, whatever we needed. She never just stopped by to check on us. Our drinks were empty and sat for a long time while she walked by our table over and over until we finally flagged her down. The food- The Appetizer was decent. It was like a loaded baked potato essentially. I ordered the Filet with shrimp, salad and broccoli. The Steak was plain in flavor but A1 helped that. The tenderness was out of this world. It was so tender and juicy and cooked to perfection that I thoroughly enjoyed it, I ate the entire thing and usually I don't. Mwah! The salad was decent with a good Ranch. Not the best but good. Much better than other places I have experienced. I'm very picky about my Ranch. The Shrimp was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The food was good but the staff from the hostess to the servers. Most looked like the just got out of bed pulled out their baggiest dirty clothes from the laundry, a few forgot to brush their hair. We always eat at the bar where are the bartenders are super friendly. We had a great meal on Friday. Steaks were perfect temps. Salad fresh and we were not rushed. They may want to change the name of this place to Logan's Outhouse. This restaurant is in need of a renovation. It's extremely dirty and worn out. The furniture, floors and bar are in need of a severe makeover. It's a shame as the staff, bartenders, waitresses and managers are on their game. Unfortunately, they are not ownership and the lack of investment in this restaurant is apparent. My wife and I sat at the bar and the service was spot on until a roach crawled across the bar making a B-line for my food. Of course, once that happened, we were no longer interested in eating our meal and advised the manager. If you have roaches in the main area, I would hate to see what's going on in the kitchen. I have eaten here a couple of times and every time I have had a good experience with both food and staff. I came here yesterday and almost turned around when i saw the trash dumpster overflowing with trash on top and around the dumpster. This isn't the first time I have noticed this and it seems to be getting worse. My suggestion is to build an enclosure around the dumpster so customers do not see this trash when coming to the restaurant because it's a turn-off. If the restaurant looks dirty on the outside then one might think its the same on the inside. read more

The food was delicious! Went there for a lil date with my hubby before errands. The rolls were a bit too buttery and bland. The mozzarella sticks were nice and cheesy though. I have been going to Logans in Summerville for at least once a week since they opened. Way back. I have some friends who have had bad experiences with service and food. I have also witnessed this some inside while dinning. I brushed most of it off. However recently on my last 5 visits there have been some issues. I am not sure if it is the turnover rate of employees or just hiring people who have no business in the food service industry. My last visit my steak was so grossly overcooked. I did eat the steak and did tell the server just how bad it was. He was cordial about the error and did want to try and fix it. I will go back. I really like the place especially after 20 yrs of good service and food. However the management needs to pay attention more. I would hate to have to find another steak house. It was full of gristle and fatty pieces. My plate looked like a science experiment after I hacked it up to find Itty bitty pieces of edible meat. Save your money for Oak or Hall's. If you are going to eat red meat make it a high quality cut which Logan's does not offer. Now , on the upside my salad and broccoli were good and my friend enjoyed his chicken sandwich and fries. First time here , there was a slight wait of 30 minutes however once we were seated the cocktails came quickly the food was excellent the hot rolls were very very tasty our waiter Bubba was hilarious and very versed with the menu he brought my wife's ribs out and said that they had to bring more ribs out for her because it was not a full slab and he said "I was not born yesterday and told the chef he would be back for the rest of his slab", The rest of my wife's lab arrived. My fillet mignon was cooked to perfection all in all a great experience at Logan's roadhouse in Sumter South Carolina again my first trip there but won't be my last. What a nice time here! Beatrice was our waitress- with beautiful eyes and amazing makeup eyes of green and hazel for the win!!!! We had the Hawaiian Tea - in honor of my brother who just got married yesterday in Hawaii! Today is his first day waking up as a married man!!!! It was huge and good. Next drink was the Pickly pear which was pink and a Itzel too tart for me but aesthetically pleasing to the eye. We started with appetizers of crispy onions and potato soup. Crispy onions and sauce was good, Unfortunately the potato soup wasn't to our liking-- tasted like cream of chicken soup not potato . Deciding what to eat was difficult but Beatrice was so patient with us. Finally agreed on the kids meal burger with homemade kettle chips -and the grilled mesquite chicken breast w/grilled mushrooms sweet potato and cinnamon and buttery. It's been a long time since we had been to Logan's (definitely before Covid). That being said, we were disappointed that the peanuts are no longer a thing but I get it with Covid and all. They were definitely busy for lunch but I was just semi- impressed by our meal. Our waiter was just blah, going through the motions and came by for the bare minimum. We needed to ask for refills, extra rolls, etc. We of course enjoyed the yeast rolls and we our salads but both are pretty basic and not difficult meals. The salads both were supposed to have boiled egg and didn't. The side of fries that came out were cold, not room temp, but actually cold. Same with the fries that came with my son's kids meal. We came, got our visit out of our system, and who knows how long it will be before we return. read more

So I've been here several times. The service the last couple times was just 'OK.' The atmosphere was as you'd expect at Logan's. I was eating with a friend at the bar, enjoying conversation when we could not help but notice the extremely drunk dude directly across from us. He was dry heaving and had clearly been over served. He got up, and stumbled into the men's room. He emerged from the men's room, stumbling and nearly falling when an employee grabbed him to hold him up. This is my go-to spot. I can't remember the last time I was here but the service is always great. Our waitress was fabulous. I can't remember her name, but she had locs like me! She was pleasant and had a smile on her face. She made sure that our orders were correct and fresh. And when we ran out of those addictive rolls, she got us more! Lord know I don't need all that bread, bu it's so good. I filled up on bread and salad. The only thing I ate from my entrée was the loaded baked potato.
