The last Logan's roadhouse I've been to was in Chester, Virginia , but I think their other location closed down after COVID. I suppose I'll make a comparison of my experiences and how this one fair to other chains. I really enjoyed Logan's in Sumter. Went there for lunch with a coworker. Wasn't too crowded and we were seated fairly quickly. Walking in I saw some stations empty, I think it was meant to show case their steak cuts? Not sure but it made an illusion of the place not doing too well. The menu is same as any other chain, but the cooking was great. My friend said it was overly seasoned, I could see that but I actually like that. The steaks were very tender & the sides weren't overly buttered or anything. The staff were very friendly & helpful. I really enjoyed my luncheon and definitely will be going back! If you like good steak, I definitely recommend trying this establishment out. read more

Was in Sumter for the weekend and stopped in here Sunday evening. Establishment was OK. Seated pretty quickly. The bread is always good. Ordered the ribs and they were terrible. Cold in the middle so these had to have been made a while ago and not even reheated the right way. Broccoli was soft and disgusting IMO. Even the baked swert potato with the butter and cinnamon on it was tasteless. Will not return ever. read more

The waitress we had was super friendly and did her very best to get all our dishes to us in a timely manner. There were two hiccups of dishes being forgetting, but she resolved that quickly. I ordered ribeye with the loaded mashed potatoes. The ribeye came out cook slightly above medium (which I ordered) and the loaded mashed potatoes were okay. Last night we decided to have dinner at Logan's Roadhouse in Sumter. Amanda was our server. As soon as she approached her attitude and vibe was completely off. I tried to ignore it. While she wasn't directly rude to me she was rude to the person I was with. I asked for a manager who was super great. Apparently they had been having issues with Amanda. I enjoyed dinner here and ordered a 12 ounce ribeye prepared medium rare. Unfortunately when I cut into it, it was well done. However my server left the table after placing it I was unable to tell her of my dissatisfaction immediately. I successfully caught her eye as she completed taking an order at another table. She immediately responded to my complaint and removed the steak having the kitchen prepare a fresh replacement. The manager delivered it to my table and remained to see if it was to my liking. I t was. The only downside was that my companions had finished their meals by the time I was served the second time. Back on the positive side, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! Just a long service. Came here for Veterans Day to find out that they stopped all deals past 3:00 PM (only place in town that does that), decided to stay and just buy an entree anyways. By far the worst steak I've ever had. Meat was very tough, dry, and unseasoned. "Caramelized Onions" were served in a bowl filled with grease, salt, and sugar, and I would be more likely to compare them to canned anchovies before anything else. The sautéed mushrooms were devoid of any flavor. Server was nice but overall this was a terrible experience, I didn't even make it 20 feet out the door before I threw up everything I ate. read more

I order from Logan's at least twice a week. It's one of my daughter's favorites. Tonight, they left out my daughter's salad. I called and spoke to Jessica. She said if we come back tonight, we can get it. It's dark outside and my oldest daughter has a hard time driving in the dark. We are across town. I asked if she could put it down in the book for later. She said I'm in the book to not replace the food because I've called too many times. And I'm the only one that has complaints. I told her, that's a lie because even the waitresses there have said things to me about how they have messed up on orders. So she doesn't want to put me in a book but come back tonight to get the salad her employees left out. I told her, that thought process is ignorant. We haven't called in a while. And they have mixed us up in their book in the past. Now my daughter is back up there get g the salad they left out. The to go waitress is rude. And they have messed up another order which involves a salad. Imagine that! But I'm the only one that calls and has issues? Quick and easy delivery system ! They bring your to go orders to your vehicle ! Burger was absolutely delicious as well as the rolls ! I have always loved this place! The food is fantastic! My favorite is the teriyaki chicken and teriyaki steak.

First of all, the service was impeccable our server anani made sure we felt welcomed and made sure too ask me to cut my steak when she gave it to me to make sure it was how I like it,(chilis could never) the steak was perfectly cooked aswell as the onions and mashed potatoes, my girlfriend loved her chicken tenders with fries(fries were seasoned nicely aswell). For the lighting it was amazing and gave a certain homey aesthetic to the restaurant. Will definitely dine here again read more

Dined here on June 30th, 2024. Our server was green and did not know the difference between draft and bottled beers, not a big deal. We ordered fried mushrooms as an appetizer. They were oily and tasted off. After our party of 5 had a few , we noticed some were moldy. We spoke to a manager who was condescending and rude. We asked to have it taken off the check but the manager refused and only offered half off. One in our party ordered a salad and when delivered, the white mushrooms were brown and crusty. The female manager was once again notified that the food quality was low. After the complaints the kitchen staff could be heard making subdued physical threats. What a mess, avoid this place! Update: Logan's Roadhouse general manager contacted me directly following my complaint. She had been out the night of our visit and assured that that our concerns regarding food safety, staff training, and improving the customer experience; would be addressed. My daughter and I stopped by tonight. We walked in at 5:54 pm. Our server, Mikayla, greeted us right after we were seated and was very attentive. Our food did not come out until after 7 pm. The person who brought our food, took back my fries because they were cold and greasy. When he brought out fresh fries, I returned my medium rare steak that was well done. It took 20 minutes for the steak to come back out. The manager brought it out after I had asked to speak to a manager. It was cooked about medium, but it had no seasoning on it. The manager was rude and said I guess they brought out the wrong steak. I asked for Heinz 57 but it was tough and unseasoned. There were 6 to 8 servers hanging out at the end of the bar the entire and one took a straw and pulled up some of someone's drink. He was the guy in a pink shirt. Disgusting behavior! Had lunch there yesterday. Ordered a deluxe burger medium rare. When it arrived to me. The burger was rare and not medium rare, and when I prepared to add mustard , I took my first bite. To my surprise, the plastic stick that indicated that it was cooked medium rare was buried inside of the burger and was not removed, and it was a surprise that I nearly broke a tooth chopping on my burger. Also, the glass that I was drinking my sweet tea tasted dirty, and when I had complained to my server. They brushed it off and would not serve me another clean glass. I should've complained to the manager on duty. But I was pressed for time and had to leave. I noticed people bringing in their pets into this establishment. Knowing that the dogs were probably not "service dogs." I would recommend anyone reading this review to boycott this restaurant. I would like to give no stars. This restaurant was right across from my hotel and I was in the mood for steak....but not Outback, down the road. I was not disappointed. I was by myself at about 7:45 pm on a Friday evening, expecting a wait, but I was offered a table (High-top) right away. There were a couple open regular tables too, but a high-top was fine for just me. It gave me a chance to scope out the place and watch the people. My waitress (Lexus, I think) came over within a minute and took my drink order. She was friendly, but didn't over do it; very professional. I wanted something local and she recommended a Thomas Creek Red Ale out of Raleigh. It was a good, crisp and fresh tasting beer. When she brought the beer, she recommended a few menu choices. I went with the filet and shrimp. She recommended breaded shrimp, but I went with the grilled and wasn't disappointed; especially with the melted butter and lemon. I ordered the filet medium-rare (as any self-respecting steak eater would), along with the side salad and sweet potato. Within 2 minutes (not kidding) she walked back with hot yeast rolls and butter, along with a very generous sized salad with bacon and eggs on it, which you don't see much in a side-salad. About 10 minutes later, just as I was finishing the salad, my entree was delivered. It was hot and not over done. The steak was cooked PERFECTLY. The waitress checked on me a few times to see if I needed anything, but everything was great. Overall, it was a great dining experience, even if I was alone, but at least the company was good. I highly recommend this place if you are wanting to keep away from the chain restaurants. Note to management: Lexus was mentioning local beers to me and said she'd like to see you offer a different local beer each month on tap. You should listen to her. When I go to someplace new, I want to try local breweries. Only serving one beer won't bring me back. The food is good, the service is not. I watched the best waitress they had on staff get treated the worst. She worked herself to pieces to support the other wait staff and run food but never got any assistance. Floor managers have obvious favorites and after visiting three times and watching the dynamic, I won't be back. I have Loved Logan's since the day they opened. In the last few years they have changed and definitely not for the better. I picked Logans over Lone Star or several other restaurants with similar menus. my favorite dish was the ribs and my mouth would water just talking or thinking about getting that for dinner. I ordered my dish to go and when I got home the full rack of ribs was now different. It was five or six bones and now it was half the meal it was previously was yet the price was $24 or more. The flavor was still good, but I was disappointed with the dish size. I figured I would try a few more times before I would walk away for good. So I have ordered two more times and this last one is the very last time I will ever step foot into a Logan's restaurant. I have expressed this concern with the manager or staff and my issue is completely dismissed. Logans changed the dish size, service and value of the product they present. the dish size has diminished and the cost pr plate has increased. Now the description of the ribs dish is one pound of ribs and side dishes. I was given a plate (to go) of ribs 5 bones as seen in the pictures that were under cooked and 2/3 pound of bones if not more. I was able to get a few very small bites of extremely tough meat. I couldn't pull the bones apart because of not being cooked properly. The dish price has now increased to $27 and this value, service and quality of cooked food was awful. When you bring this concern up and are dismissed instead of addressing the issue and even pretending like you heard the customer and pretending like you care until the customer has left the building would be a start. Just ate at Logan's. Got a steak and rib combo. Of course the rolls at Logan's and Texas Roadhouse are some of the best. Salad was nice and cold and chrisp. When my meal arrived I ordered my steak med to med well! When I tried to cut the steak it was like I was sawing into wood. First clue! Of course when I attempted to eat the steak it was very, very tuff and grissel . I ate three bites and decided not worth it. The ribs on the other hand was par for roadhouse restaurants tender and tasty. When I brought up the issue with the steak the waitress just apologized and that was it. Not good customer service as you could see I barely touched the steak which would tell a server something must be wrong . The only reason I'm giving a three was the ribs were good along with salad, rolls and mashed potatoes . I might give them another chance but I will not order the shoe leather steak . NOTE.
