My wife, my daughter and I went to the Logan's Roadhouse on Broad St in Sumter SC expecting to enjoy a good meal. We each ordered the Chicken Tenders dinner ($14.49) with baked potato and salad. The salad was quite good, the potato was good, but the chicken tenders should have been called "chicken toughs". Each piece was small, stringy, and highly overcooked with too much batter. The server did a good job, but overall, this was one of the three worst chicken tenders dinner we have eaten in the last ten years. Unless they can improve on the main dish of one of their signature dinners, they should close the doors. We will NOT be going back. read more

I went around 9 and it was fairly empty, as soon as they sat us down the waitress wasn't very welcoming nor friendly. Menu didn't have a lot of options for a picky eater. So I got a salad with fried chicken on top with a loaded baked potato and macaroni and cheese on the side. The salad was very good and the size was definitely worth the price, the baked potato was tasty but the macaroni was watery unfortunately. We also ordered an ocean margarita and it tasted fairly good for the 6 dollars spent. read more

They did do their best to accommodate a large party but I had to go refill my own drink at one point. The New York strip I received was the fattiest New York strip I've ever had. I've never complained to a manager once and felt the need this time. She was unapologetic and but did take a little over $6 off. At that point I just wanted to cut my losses and leave so I paid and left. I for sure will not visit again and stick to the steakhouses I know. read more

Unsure why this place doesn't have higher ratings because it truly is amazing. Ordered the ribeye and mashed potatoes medium rare. The lovely waitress had me cut into my ribeye to make sure, and it was more on the done side. She had them remake it and let me tell you it was delicious! The grill marks were textbook and the taste... out of this world! The mashed potatoes and gravy were a harmonious addition to the steak. Simplicity with great execution. Went on Friday night. Sat at the bar with my brother. Ordered 12oz ribeye and my brother ordered filet and shrimp. Waited good 20 minutes after salad for meals. My brothers was cooked perfectly then I sliced into mine and I ordered med rare this steak was shoe leather done. Sent back and the waiter had me keep my bake potato thought that was strange but glad..it was the only thing I had to eat. Start the clock my brother ate his meal while I waited he ate slower than anyone I ever seen 30 minutes.. he's finished and mine comes out I asked to see manager and he brought my meal to me.. I told him my brother was done and I was tired of waiting and i Said I didn't want it now..we were ready to leave. I asked him to give me something off my bill and he said he couldn't do that.. he even charged me for the baked potato.. $60 and I left hungry.. I understand busy but he was not a people person. This place is always crowded and I wanted to see what all the parked cars were about, lol. I ordered takeout, baby back ribs, sautéed mushrooms and broccoli with cheese. The ribs were very good. I was given 1 little bbq sauce container, it would have been better if the sauce was already on the ribs. I didn't have enough sauce for the ribs. The cheese on the broccoli never melted and the mushrooms were over cooked with no flavor. French fries came with the ribs and they were ok nothing special. I sit at the Bar. Beer is in a bucket with very little ice. Beer is cool. Waitresses complaining and arguing at the end of the bar. Bartender throws a cleaning towel on the bar that lands partially in my basket of of cold crunchy baby back ribs with cold fries. I paid for my two cool beers and crunchy ribs and left. This was my first time here. We came in because my child earned a free kids meal at school. We ordered: kids grilled cheese, classic cheeseburger, side macaroni and cheese, and sodas. The entrees were okay ( burger kind of overdone and house chips undercooked), but we loved the mac n cheese and devoured the buttery complimentary rolls. I might come back in just for those two things! Our server Kristian was really sweet, and I think overall the service was great. Average run of the mill restaurant. Some days it's great, others it's not. Either way your probably going to be waiting.

This is my Mom's favorite spot and we usually go when I come home to visit. We arrived around 7:00pm and was told that it would be a 20-25 minute wait. We opted to sit at the bar since it was first come first serve sitting. We were greeted within a few minutes of sitting. The bartender affirmed that the bar area was first come first serve so we moved to the high top table and chairs. The same gentleman (bartender) came over and took our drink order, made really great suggestions for drinks) and food order. He told us that the food would be slow to come out (30 minutes or more) because there were two (2) large parties in the restaurant. Understandable. However, after Waiting more than 30 minutes, we noticed that 2 tables that arrived AFTER us (2 people per table; 4 individuals) received their food before we did. What makes this worse is that my mom ordered a everything salad and I ordered potato skins. It was disappointing to say the least. The customer service is the basis for my rating. I'm sure my Mom will go back because this is her favorite place. Next time, we won't sit in the bar. read more

Don't waste your time. I visited the Azela Square Mall location in Summerville, SC, yesterday with my neighbors, and was totally disappointed . We arrived at approximately 3:45PM, was seated, placed our drink orders, and waited. When the drinks arrived and mine did not have the wedge of lime I asked for, that should have been the clue. We placed our order and continued in conversation. My neighbor and his wife ordered the potato soup, and a steak, I ordered the 16oz Ribeye, with sautéed mushrooms on top, and my wife ordered the half-rack of ribs. Well, 4 of the 4 entrées arrived "cold," as well as the potato soups. My 16oz Ribeye arrived "tepid" without sautéed mushrooms, and my wife's ribs and sweet potato was also cold. Since our neighbors suggested the place, my wife and I made the best of outing to not make them feel bad. Since I'm not one who frequent chain restaurants, this "wan-a-be" Texas Roadhouse chain need to go back to the drawing board! The dinner was pretty good, I had the Surf and Turf (Shrimp and Filet) which was tasty although the service was a little slow. Order a hamburger and fries. Hamburger w/Swiss cheese was cold that the cheese was shining. Microwave and I asked for crispy fries (they weren't. Just barely cooked. Our food came out cold and totally tasteless. No flavor even a cold hamburger on a cold bun. Only had salt and pepper and that wouldn't stick to it because it was cold and overcooked. I wasn't to frustrated but I did call back for two cups of soup and caeser and ranch dressing. Which when arrived took an extra ten minutes to get out, to find out THEY FORGOT THE CAESER AND RANCH DRESSING. Well, we called ahead by an hour since we had a party of 13. When we got there we still waiting about 45 minutes to get a seat. Then it took about 45 minutes more to get our food. And 2 people didn't get theirs. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye and I'm not sure what cut of meat I had but it was not a ribeye. It was full of gristle and was not very good at all. Worst food I've ever had at a Logan's. They need to take notes from the one in Summerville. read more

We came here Friday, August 23, 2019, after a youth convention. The place was just cleaned up because it was so late and close to their closing time. We arrived with a group of 13 and they accommodated us quickly. Food was amazing and well prepared. The waitress kept our glasses topped off and plenty of fresh rolls right out of the oven. Had a great dinner last night while in town visiting family. The staff was friendly and accommodating from the moment we walked in. Even though we were told it would be about a 30 minute wait we were seated within about 15. Our server, Taylor, was excellent!! He was attentive and met our every need. As we left at least 3 staff members thanked us for coming and wished us a pleasant evening. That was surprising considering how crowded they were. Will definitely be back. read more

The men's restroom is always disgusting, with water all over the floor and used paper towels/toilet paper everywhere, soap dispenser empty, etc., even right after they open. And the on the round table we were seated at, which is actually a square table with the little rounded segments that fold up to give more room, the cracks between the square segment and the rounded segments were full of old bits of food as if they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is because the bathrooms were a little dirty. But besides that we had a great time. I would totally recommend this place. ps. Service was very attentive at the bar. Restaurant was clean and the food was brought out promptly. I was enthralled by how many gold chains the busboy was wearing...there had to be like, 8 around his neck, but it looked fresh AF! I was amazed at his ability to wear that many pieces of flair without looking flashy. I cant even wear three bangles without looking basic. Anyways, the side dishes were solid and the buns were hot and delicious. I ordered a 16oz ribeye and it was chewy and fatty and gristly--but it was an $18 cut of beef thats notoriously 'marbled' and fatty when cooked medium rare (as i requested) so i'm only docking them a star for that. read more

Never again! The last time we went the experience was so bad my family said we were never going back. But I had a soft spot for The place because of all the diners I had enjoyed there back in the day! I was able to talk the family into another meal at Logan's and I got a lot of I told you so's! I had the fried catfish, it was awful! It tasted like it was fried in the basket with the chicken fingers. My wife's baked potato was hard in the middle and my mother in law could not eat her food because it was so over cooked. On the positive side my sons steak was good and his girlfriends club sandwich was fine, but how can you mess up a club sandwich? Service was impeccable. Even when our server got delayed by another table, the other waitstaff picked up the "slack" (there was no slack). Bussing happened in a very timely manner, refills on drinks were plentiful. The steaks were both cooked to perfection. I am an absolute D!(# when it comes to eating out because I used to be in the service industry...my expectations are high. The good...the rolls are good. The bad...pretty much everything else. Steak...tough and overcooked. It might have been medium when it left the grill but when they put it on a sizzling platter it cooked to just about well done. Baked potato...I opted for the "loaded" baked potato which was $.99 up charge. Not a lot of money, but if you're charging me for cheese and bacon bits it would be nice to get more than a couple of sprinkles of each. Salad...it was supposed to be a caesar salad...it wasn't.
