This is a photo they used to advertise the crab dip. Does not even bear a passing resemblance to what they fed us.

Not very bad, not very good. Most vacationers have a limited number of meals they can enjoy while on vacation. Don't waste one of your meals here. I probably should have known better. We were one of four parties on a Saturday...but my thought was that it was about two o'clock, probably not prime time dining hours even during tourist season. The crab dip appetizer was disappointing. The menu did not provide a description...I was expecting something creamy with chunks of crab meat in there. What I got was a block of melted cheese with the grease separating on top, and strands of crab meat. The whole thing congealed after just a few minutes on the table. I follow this with a cup of clam chowder, which was mostly milk thickened with a little too much flour. There were few chunks of potato and even fewer clams. I didn't find any bacon at all. Nor did I detect much flavor. They could have redeemed themselves with the crab roll. I was hoping for something like chunks of crab meat with mayo and maybe some onion or celery. Instead, I got more of the stringy crab meat with very little sauce. I expected a lot more for $26. I've included pictures to show the photos on the menu versus what they served us. Two crab rolls, one crab dip, and one cup of clam chowder with water to drink cost us $86. Adding a tip, and the total came to $106. I think it was the single most disappointing meal I've ever had for over a hundred bucks.

Fried Prawns with fries and a pickle. Cole slaw was an additional $4.

First we waited 20 minutes to be seated (we were the only people waiting). Then we waited 20 more minutes for the ONLY waitress to come to our table. We both had the fried prawns (shrimp). They were stretched out like a stick and VERY breaded. Had a piece of Halibut and it was also very breaded. It only came with fries - sides were +$4. Food was just OK. They only served beer in a bottle (no tap). Inside setup was weird. The seating area was up about 8 stairs, even tho the entrance and the kitchen was on the ground level. Big bold painting on the walls. I wouldn't return to this restaurant!

It's fine. Feels like your typical touristy spot for average tasting food. Had the halibut and chips. Wife had the fish tacos. It was decent but pricey for the price quality. Good location though.

I don't like leaving bad reviews BUT this behavior was unacceptable. Our reservation was at 9 pm. We called at 858pm to let them know we were running 5-10 min late, which they said would be fine. We arrived at 906pm and the 2 girls with dark hair (no bangs) said we just stopped seating we then responded we have a reservation. She then responds well you were late so we gave your table away. We then said our reservation was at 9pm and its 906pm, we also called a few minutes ago to let you know so incredibly rude. A nice girl with blonde hair came over and said to the girls they have a reservation, and proceeded to seat us. She apologized for them. The food was AMAZING definitely, some of the best oysters.

Four of us in Port Angeles for the first time and saw the name and said let's see what they have and saw a fun mural on the wall and said let's try it! I got a 2-piece fish & chips (they also sell 1 and 3 piece orders) and the food was really good! My brother-in-law got salmon and each of the ladies got salads that they really enjoyed. Ashley, our server, was really good and has a fun personality and everyone enjoyed talking with her. If you're in Port Angeles and like seafood, I definitely recommend having a meal here!

For fresh seafood in Port Angeles, WA, Moby Duck's is the place to go! Disclaimer: it's expensive, but in my opinion, it's worth it! We've been there several times, trying different items each time, as they do somewhat change the menu, based on what's seasonal and local. The service has always been great. They all seem to genuinely enjoy working there. Suggestion: To get a variety, find a few items to share. And, go back to try more on another visit. It's worth it!

Don't judge a book by it cover! Doesn't exactly look like a great place from the outside (reminded me of a back alley Vegas strip club) and service was a little rough/slow to start.... Food however was excellent and drinks were stiff. We left full and happy! Definitely will visit again!

Went in on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. The waitress was extremely friendly and nice. I ordered the crabcakes and a dozen oysters. The oysters were absolutely delicious. The crabcakes were so so.

    Current menu as of 3/9/25

The food here is a mixed bag. The Moby Duck fritters (geoduck fritters) were really tasty. The steamer clams were just okay. The clams had an odd slightly bitter taste and didn't look very fresh. I ordered the raw oysters, and this was a mistake. The oysters didn't look or taste very fresh, and whoever opened the oysters clearly didn't know how to shuck oysters. As a result, they didn't run the knife under the oyster to separate it from the adductor muscle, so the oysters were still attached to the shell and the oysters were also full of broken shell pieces making it a difficult and unpleasant experience trying to eat them. You would think that a seafood restaurant would have fresh oysters and know how to shuck them. Outside of the food, the restaurant was very plain and austere and the service was to-the-point and efficient. One weird thing is that it took a while for the food to come out despite being the first customer there, and when it did come out, it all came out at the same time instead of it being paced with the oysters coming out first. I think the menu on their website is out of date, so I included a photo of their menu current as of 3/9/25.

    Great deco.

This place has a great vibe. Great place for a bite and drinks. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. Because this place works its menu around the fresh catch of the day, there were several item on the menu that were not available. We ended up with fish n chips. It was cod. Sadly one of the pieces had that fishy smell. My friend couldn't eat it. But, mine was excellent.

A nice casual spot with everything we were looking for. We are visiting the area and wanted fresh local seafood and this place delivered. We started out with the clam chowder and oysters Rockefeller both were amazing. The waiter was great and recommended the Special with fresh scallops caught that morning we topped off our meal with the Dungeness crab cakes. Everything was over the top delicious!

Restaurant was suggested to us by a local and we are so grateful!!! Servers were super friendly and proficient (including the cook) even though we got our food quickly that did NOT take away from the quality of the dishes!! Everything came out so hot/warm/crunchy and most importantly DELICIOUS!! Omg you could tell the seafood was sooo fresh and they gave a generous amount for the price. Good deals.

Yes, but you are limited to the two tables in what would otherwise be the lobby. The crew does take very good care of you, if you are sitting there.

They were perfectly fried with a crunchy exterior, all heightened by a lovely drizzle of honey. 5/5 Fried Chicken Sandwich - This sandwich was a monstrosity! If I were Sasquatch, I'd still be full after eating this. They practically put two fillets into one sandwich. The breading was flavorful, and the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. I definitely appreciated the generous portion size. 4/5 Ahi Tuna - Deliciously fresh and simple. The tuna was lightly seared and served sashimi-style with a perfect rare interior. Being so close to the ocean makes you appreciate how fresh seafood can taste, and they deliver that here. It's lightly dressed with soy sauce and citrus to bring out the natural flavor of the fish. 5/5 Service & Atmosphere - The service was great, and we were seated quickly. We were also warned that the kitchen gets "overwhelmed" with big groups, which we appreciated their honesty. Our table decided to order a variety of items and to share. My mom would've loved the schnitzel but when I asked if they could put the spaetzle and sauce on the side, the waiter told me "no, the chef won't do that because it would be visually unappealing." We ordered it anyway and it tasted good but my mom couldn't try it. I think it would've been fine if the spaetzel and sauce were on the side (would've been my preference too) so it would also keep the schnitzel crunchy. But anyway, we also ordered the seared tuna, which was too garlicky for our liking, the shrimp boil, which was very good, and the fried chicken, which was just ok. My sister sitting in the next booth also ordered the brussel sprouts and that was easily the star of the show! This restaurant allows kids but I'm not sure if I would really consider it to be "kid friendly" since they did not offer a kids menu. All-in-all, food was good, service was honest, and we would probably come back.

We sat near the bar and people were friendly. We started with cocktails and got the coconut and mint with rum. My husband got one with tequila and ranch water. Both cocktails were very disappointing! Mine didn't have the mint muddled and it didn't have any distinguished flavor... I also didn't taste any alcohol so I had to ask what was in it. It was very plain. The same with my husband's. Both tasted like inexpensive well drinks and no character. Wouldn't recommend the cocktails. We also got sourdough garlic bread. This was good but not worth $9. I then ordered the Moonlight soup and ordered salmon in it. Please note that all soups will not come with protein so you have to order that on the side. Mine did come with some tofu so it had protein but the addition of fresh salmon was nice. The soup was tasty. It had shiitake and miso flavoring. I was toggling between a 3 and 4 rating. I felt that since it was using Asian influences, it could at least be respectful to Asian culture (chopsticks were stuck in the soup so it can be taboo with meaning death or bad luck). I didn't particularly like that and sort of felt that these were all Asian based soups with no reference to Asian culture. It felt a little odd to me. While I enjoyed it, my husband's soup was a bit lukewarm and tasted like Thai curry soup. Tasty but not hot which is a bummer. I think the kale cooled it down. I do think the soups should be more obvious that the soups do not contain protein. This should be noted at the top not at a separate bottom section where it's labeled that you can add the additional fish to any of the soups (just have it next to the soup and salad sections instead). This seems sneaky... I had mixed experience. Staff were kind but maybe I'd check some other place out.
