If you have a hankering for a drink that is sweet, delicious and contains balls, Lollicup is the place. I personally like this location compared to the Plaza Blvd branch due to the accessibility and credit card convenience. The employees are also a lot nicer too. Although Clairemont Mesa may have a lot of Oriental food/shops and a majority of the Boba shops in San Diego, having Lollicup south of the I-8 is convenient for the people that live down South. The drink menu is ridiculously huge. A first timer here would probably take a good 10 minutes to find what they want to order. My recommendation is the Oreo Slush. I have tried the Thai Tea which was also good. You can't really go wrong with any drink you order here. You can also order food, usually fried stuff, and there is a questionable candy display next to the cash register. To be honest, I wouldn't touch any of those candies with a ten foot pole, but that's beside the point. The point is - you come here for a good boba drink, and that's what they do. read more

One of the high school haunts that I still visit from time to time. While I've been spoiled with more authentic tea drinks living near the Convoy area, there's something about their honeydew milk tea that I crave from time to time. I'm 100% sure there is not a trace of actual honeydew in there, but it always manages to please. They also started serving chamango here (mango smoothie + tamarindo + chamoy), so it pacifies my boyfriend during the weekends we visit my parents and I'm too lazy to take him further down south for the real deal. This is one of the only family businesses in this shopping center that's stuck around, down to the pool table, worn-out couches, and after-school microwavable snacks. Drinks are ALWAYS legit. Like no matter what you order you can't go wrong. They have milk teas, snow bubbles, slush, etc etc. They only have regular sized boba, no mini boba :( They don't really have hot food you can order which is a downside. The only food is available are small snacks and candies they have on display next to the cash register. But overall, I would come back over and over for their drinks. I've come here twice and both times it's been good. I'm not much of a boba person so I just get the Thai Iced Tea slush *hold the boba please*. I do get some boba drinks for my nieces who LOVE them. This is my go to boba tea place in Chula Vista. The fam and I usually go to the YMCA up the street. After a good, hard workout we like to go Lollicup for an ice, cold boba beverage. My husband has tried several flavors but I always stick to what I like. I always order the milk tea with boba. It's not too sweet and they always provide the perfect amount of boba to drink ratio. Since the fam and I go often we have established a relationship with the owner. He's super nice and we always talk about our familes. Next time you're in the area...try it out. I'm not a big fan of big boba places generally. There are always too many teenies and nerds running around. Bleh. I had to resort to this place when I used to live down in Chula Vista. It pleased me for a while, but this place just seemed like an extension of Westfield Mission Valley. There's Bonita Vista High across the street, then Eastlake and Otay high schools not far away. Give me a break. You might as well put a sign saying "17 and under only." Quite frankly, I don't even know why kids hang out here, it's not cozy and there's nothing but a pool table in there. Stayed in Chula Vista over night while visiting the boyfriend's parents a few weeks ago and we stopped here to quench our thirst. We noticed that they make Chamangos there and decided to try it. OMFG it's like the BEST thing EVER! My boyfriend probably has tasted better but this was my first time and loved it! I loved it so much that I wanted to stop in here the very next day before we drove back to Orange County. It's a sweet mango slushy with ribbons of chamoy and topped with fresh mango chunks and lucas chili powder! Yes, that's right...it's sweet, sour and spicy! My mouth is watering as we speak! Delicious! Looking forward to come back here again, however I heard there's a ChaWatermlon and a ChaStrawberry that's sold somewhere in Chula Vista too! I'm on a mission now. The place is clean and well kept. The server at the counter was friendly. I ordered chamango and I was disappointed. The mangoes that were used was not ripe. The drink didn't have the Mexican candy. They only gave a regular straw. I'm used to the straw that has tamarind candy around it. They can improve the drink. It needs a little bit of a kick. I can only taste sweet and salty. It needs a little bit of a spice. The price though is reasonable it's a little bit over $3. Since the place is not a fruteria I should have lowered my expectations. I came here because I had driven by it before and since it's on my way home, I thought I'd try it out. I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't pleasantly surprised either. It just was. Peach Yogurt Snow, all day everyday. it's so good here! i've tried it at other places and it just doesn't taste the same. It's tart and refreshing. Anyways i like my drinks better when the owner and his wife (i think) are manning the cash register and making my drinks. Theyre older like in their 40's. There's two younger peeps that work there also and they tend to make my drinks too sweet. And I once ordered a thai tea (simple right) and he gave me a milk tea. I love boba! Thank goodness this Lollicup is just a 3 minute drive from my house. They have a wide variety of drinks from milk teas, regular teas, slushes, shakes, and coffees. I often order the milk tea with boba of course =] The location is across the street from the high school so if you go there during the afternoon there's a lot of high school kids. The only thing that bums me out is that it charges you if you use your card and that the drinks can be too sweet at times. read more

Oh lollicup how I've missed you :( the owners of this location are so friendly, always taking orders with a smile. Their boba are always tender, and chewy with a slight hint of sweetness, and their slushes are delicious (give it to me SWEET!) My regular orders are honeydew slush, or thai tea slush with boba, and they never disappoint. They do accept credit cards, but tack on a small fee if it is under $4-5 dollars, so keep that in mind :) I just buy another slush for my hubby. If you're a local make sure you get your card you can punch in for 11 drinks, and you get your 12th drink free Lollicup has been my go-to place in Eastlake for 2 years, but I've moved back to Mira Mesa and can't make my regular trek back over. My daughter and I go here for dessert and daddy-daughter dates. Their boba drinks and large variety of tropical drinks is the best around. The atmosphere is warm, and the free wifi is a huge plus. I try a different drink every time I go, while my daughter explores these flavors with me. I look forward to our time together at Lollicup and it is a unique experience that I do not get anywhere else. Suprisingly, the place is not packed whenever we go in the afternoons. I have been going to this place since it opened a couple years ago and love it! The owner is super nice and knows me since I go in all the time. His wife recently started working there more, and she is super nice as well. I'm there AT LEAST once a week. My favorites are the Thai Tea slush with boba, and the Ube Milk tea with boba. Way too sweet! I live in Chula Vista so I've been dying to find a good boba place down south without having to go all the way to Kearny Mesa or the like. It's located right across the street from Southwestern College so I jumped at the chance. A friend and I came here. The menu is giant and the owners are pretty nice.
