We have had two amazing outdoor dinners here in the past month. First, I want to compliment the entire staff. Many of the staff members are young (high school and college students) and they are attentive, responsive, polite, and energetic. They have provided flexible responses to the diners in our party, changing tables for us and making good dining recommendations and always putting in orders correctly even with special requests. Here are some thinks that have been amazing to eat: branzino marechiara, shrimp oreganata, calamari fritti, mussels arrabiata, entree salads (forgot the variety), cheesecake, molten lava cake. Also tasty cocktails are available by the pitcher! I hope they invest in heaters for the winter so we can continue going during these difficult days. And-- if you are okay dining inside-- it looks super comfortable, very clean, and well designed! Prices are amazingly fair for the quantity and quality of the food! Parking is a cinch! read more

Waitress didn't even ask if I wanted something to drink before taking food order and walked away so fast as if she was miffed that she doubles as the bartender. I've been here five to six times but today was my last time. We ordered the baked clams and they were missing something. The pizza with the eggplant only had a small limited amount on the pie. We ordered a tiramisu dessert to go and I guess they ran out or had a limited amount but it was small. I paid all that money for a dessert the size of two quarters. Staying at the hotel next door. IF YOU ARE THERE FOR A SLICE, GO DIRECTLY TO THE PIZZA AREA. I was going to get a couple slices to go, but not knowing the deal, I went to the bar for takeout and ordered from the menu, where slices are apparently pizza non grata. So I was a little disappointed once I realized that (I didn't ask, just went with the menu. Maybe would've been more investigative if I hadn't knocked a few back at the theater next door and got "confused"...). And the fact the place has that suburban too cool for school vibe was a bit off-setting. That being said, not knowing that slices were still an option, I ordered the small Margherita. Gang, it was SOLID. Super crispy base, tangy sauce, okay cheese. A lot of folks in the US make the Margherita sauce as just smashed up tomatoes. If you've been to Italy, you know this isn't them being fancy, it's them being lazy. These guys aren't being lazy. Nice, thick, smooth sauce on the pie. Friendly staff. I can't speak for the reheated slices, but this place is definitely worth checking out for a fresh pie out of the oven. What an excellent choice for a group dinner on a Saturday night. Got lots of apps (octopus was very good and so were the rice balls - some of the best I've had lately). All entrees were very good. If your ordering from here please do it over the phone or on an app. Any time I walk in for a pick up order I've had an issue whether it be customer service, incorrect order or wait times. I've tried to be understanding and patient because I know restaurants can be busy. Today I went on my break to grab a regular cheese slice (the easiest/quickest item). The person taking the order let me know there's a fresh pie coming out soon. I let him know I'll have a seat so they can bring when ready. 15 mins go by and no slice. I go to check the pies and the fresh one has already been out. I wasn't asked for help by anyone else although sitting there for nearly 20 mins. They proceed to ask me if I want the slice warmed because now it's cold. Still charged me although me letting them know the issue. I also saw an employee SPIT on the floor entering the kitchen as I was waiting. I also have fellow employees that have had issues here. Please work on your customer service. read more

Despite being impacted by the virus and then a storm that knocked out power, this team of superstars found a way to persevere and provide delicious (& fresh) food and exquisite cocktails to support an exhausted neighborhood! Did I mention no one on the block has phone, internet or TV service? My first time to this new Dobbs Ferry restaurant and definitely not my last. Had the side House salad, perfectly ok, especially the tangy roasted red peppers. It was the pizza that was the star. I travel to Italy with some frequency so I feel I am in a good position to judge. Lombardo's was excellent and now perhaps my favorite pizza in Westchester. Thin, crunchy crust, tart sauce, House-made mozzarella. Had mine with mushrooms and onions. I loved it. Nice staff, friendly ownership. Would like to see more interesting wines representing Sicily and Campania, which is where the owner's family is from. Looking forward to trying their pasta and other entrees. DON'T EAT HERE!!!!!!! On June 14th, at about 5:00, my son and I went to Lombardi's in Dobbs Ferry for a quick slice. Living across the street, you would think that it would be ideal. In the last year that we have lived, we had been there on two (2) previous occasions. Not that there was anything that I could put my finger on, but I always had an uncomfortable feeling there. Well, today, to my surprise, the reason showed its ugly head. After having an uneasy exchange with the young man who took our order, a young man who I could tell was not a typical person himself (my son is a 13-year-old with Autism), seemed put out by my asking him not to leave the slices in too long because my son would burn his mouth if they were too hot. After paying for our order, we sat down and began to eat, when the young man who had taken care of us was having a conversation with a co-worker, who blurted out "I was surprised to see that they let black people in here". Everyone turned and looked at him, with a co-worker even hitting him and giving him a stern look. An uncomfortable silence fell on the restaurant, so much so that you could hear the proverbial "pin drop". Thank God for small miracles, either my son didn't hear the comment or was too involved in his iPad to pick up on the blatant racist comment. Needless to say, I was furious, stunned, and totally flabbergasted. I ask my son to pack up what was left of his food, we were leaving, but him being the person that he is, he just said he wanted another juice. I went to another employee and asked her to accept payment for another bottle of juice, which she did uneasily, apparently embarrassed by the statement. Seeing that not all of the employees were complicit in this racist attitude, I asked to speak to a manager. She goes into the kitchen area and returns 10 seconds later, which indicated that he must have been within range to have heard the comment and not do anything. After recounting the incident to him, he replied:" look, there are 40 people who work here, I can't control what all of them say". After seeing the bewildered on my face, he goes on to say " he will be repermanded, he won't ever do that again". Again seeing that his assurances were not having his desired effect asks if he can get me anything that will make me feel better!! Which was probably tthe most offensive and insulting comment of all. So, over my son's objections, I packed his remaining food and we left! I'm dumbfounded!!! That in this day and age, I mean, come on, it 2019, how can they not have a clue? If you are a person of color, please I implore you DONT!!! If you're not, shame on you if you still eat here! By the way, if you were wondering, I am Caribbean American. read more

I've had the spaghetti bolognese and different salads for dinner here and have never been disappointed. The staff is not only unbelievably attentive, but Laurie in particular, is fantastic. On a dark and dreary, rainy night (tonight), I was waiting to pick up my daughter from iPic as she was at a friend's bday party. I called Laurie for a personal pizza to go but was told it would be a little bit bcz they were busy (dark & dreary nite as I mentioned. Who wants to come out?!) I explained my situation-that I was tired and just wanted to coordinate my daughter's exit with picking up a pizza for my son-and Viola! It was done: pizza ready in 5 minutes. This is our go-to spot. It's family friendly, the staff is friendly and the food is really great. The pizza is a hit with our four year old (probably the best we've had in Westchester) and the steak salad and truffle mushroom risotto are also top notch. The space is also really upscale and clean. Would definitely recommend especially for people with kids. read more

Food is decent, BUT they make one of the specialty pizza pies in the morning and sell it/reheat it all day, and usually have half of it when it's time to close. Two of the owners are actually nice guys, but one of them looks like the Cake Boss. Ate there at the end of July and came back a week later at the same time and half of the staff was replaced.
