My family is VERY picky about pizza given the fact that we have roots in brooklyn & staten island. But we found lombardo's by accident and have to say it's good pizza. the crust is crispy, cheese isn't overwhelming and the sauce is very good. We placed an online order of one of their Sun-Thurs specials which was pick up only. Prices were reasonable. The pizza was yummy, not dripping with oil and good cheese/sauce ratio. The Caesar salad was ok, the dressing was a bit tart. The garlic knots were good but greasy. They were ready at its estimated pickup time. The decor was fine. I had a slice of regular and a slice of white - all cost approximately 7 dollars and change - Went early on a saturday and there was a woman behind the counter speaking spanish on the phone and seemed too busy to greet me and say hello - I was basically ignored - The TV was blasting in the background and obviously she was watching some show while attempting to talk on the phone and ignore customers. With that all said - That was the worst of it - HOWEVER, the pizza slices were FANTASTIC - The pizza crust was nice and crispy - I was pleasently suprised!! While I was leaving another customer came in and spoke rude to them, and they responded willfully, it seems like they like to get yelled at in there. They don't like when their customers are polite. Just ordered 2 pies with extra cheese for delivery. They came out extremely fast for a Saturday. The pies were outstanding. The crust was cooked to perfection. The price is great for the quality. Called them at 2:00 PM to order 2 lasagnas that we would pick up at 4:30 PM. My son got there at 4:26. They gave him an attitude and said the pick-up was for 4:30. He texted me and told me it wasn't ready yet. They kept telling him 2 minutes. The order wasn't ready until 5:10 PM. Although the lasagna was good, their time management sucks. I had some excellent slices from here the other day, so i wanted to really go in. Not your fancy NYC italian restaraunt or a pizza spot that has a million pies in the display but they take pride in what they make. Ingredients are fresh and the owner/manager is cool. Most places are annoying about mixing heros. I think you can get in from the pc richards/staples parking lot and division ave. Ordered a pie and a calzone from the place a few weeks ago for the first and last time. When I placed the order, I was told that delivery would take 45min...an hour and a half later...still no dinner. So I called to see what the hold up was and the guy on the phone put me on hold and then told me that the delivery guy went to the wrong location and that he was going to make up a new order and have it to me within 25min. Wrong location?!? He was at the wrong location for over a half hour??? 40min later I had to call back and ask where the food was. If I could rate this pizzeria 0 stars I would but unfortunately I can't. I was told over the phone the order would take 35 minutes to complete. I understand places get busy but we waited an hour and a half for our food. An hour I would have understood but considering the business is less than 10 minutes away, I don't understand why it took this long. After waiting an hour and a half I decided to call and was told they were contacting the driver and would call us back, which they did not. Over 2 hours after ordering and getting our food , they called us 2x stating our card didn't go through. After verifying the number several times they proceeded to tell us it was declined. I don't understand how you verify the card 2 hours after ordering and 45 minutes after delivery. . The man over the phone was aggressive and incredibly rude to my family. We even checked our account and noted it had sufficient funds. Suspiciously, after the phone call ended there was a notification from the bank that we were indeed being charged for the pizza. How is it that after several attempts over the phone the card was somehow able to be charged? There is absolutely no reason to be hostile and rude towards customers. Especially no reason to call someone at 9:30 at night during the work week for simply no reason at all. Clearly the card was able to be used for payment. I don't know what type of establishment they are trying to run? but I will ensure I never order from this pizzeria again unless I want to waste my time for greasy, cold pizza. The garlic knots were excellent, but the zeppoles, they were good but something was lacking there, maybe it was that they were a bit crispy, which is odd. Tried Lombardos for the first time tonight. I've lived in Levittown for 20 years and for some reason never gave it a try. I am so glad we did. Pizza has such a unique crispy crust. Never again. Went in there and saw they had a new pie out. So I ask the counter guy if the pie just came out, and he catches an attitude and said it's been out for 30 minutes. I'm like whatever. So I ask for two slices to go and point towards the pie. The d bag counter guy puts two slices that were sitting on the side forever and looked dried out in the oven. Never touched the pie I asked about and pointed to. Needless to say the pizza was terrible and inedible. I should of walked out when he put the 2 dried out slices in, shame on me. I wanted to try another pizza spot by my house. I had the family special-meatball parm, pizza pie and salad, all for like 22 bucks. The place is small with 3-4 tables. Its an old place. Definitelty have seened better days. The people that work there are pleasant. The food-pizza was the worst pizza I have had and I've had lots of pizzas especially in the city growing up. Frozen pizza is much better. The dough is hard and chewy. The pizza looks like it was reheated two-three times. It had black hard burnt pieces of cheese. The sauce-not sure where it was. The pizza sat in our table for 10 minutes and I picked up the entire pie (excluding my slice and daughters slice) I picked it up with one hand and the entire pie did not move . I flipped it sideways and no cheese came out, no sauce, nothing, it was as hard as a rock. I slammed the pizza against the table and it made a thump noise. The meatball parm- my husband said it tasted like it was microwaved. The salad was not fresh-the lettuce had black spots on them. Read my reviews I usually DO NOT give one star.
