Food was decent. Not a very large selection. Owner was very nice and cordial. Nice staff

The Riverton Houses Reunion, we all had a nice time reminiscing about growing in Harlem of the 1950-1960s.

We arrived At Londel's around 8:00 on a Saturday evening. Parking was extremely difficult as is just about any place in the city. Londel's has several tables to enjoy a meal, a small- medium size area for dancing and a bar (area). I ordered the whiting fingers - delicious! And sipped on several drinks which didn't taste watered down. We were there specifically for Steppin' so that's what we did. We enjoyed the music and danced. I would definitely return and recommend.

This place was amazing. I arrived as soon as they opened at 5PM and sat at the bar. Ordered the salmon with Mac & cheese and rice, cousin had ribs greens and mac & cheese, friend had fried chicken with baked potato and Mac & cheese. Everyone enjoyed their food. Afterward we ordered dessert (red velvet cake & bread pudding). I was stuffed from my entree but I dug through the cake. So good. Service was great and I loved my drink (limon drop). Food took a while to come out but a sorority was hosting a dinner in the private dining room. I can't imagine how busy the kitchen was with all of the guests.

Haven't hit a home run with your hot mate by the third date? Take him or her to Londel's to swoon your way in. You're not coming here for the food, you're stopping by for the cool vibes and atmosphere. I'm not sure if this place was around in the 20s and 30s, but if it was, I can just imagine cool cats sitting around the bar with their hair slicked back, looking to bag the next happening chick that walks in. They've got a decent selection of wines, beers and mixed drinks. I recently went on a Saturday evening with Rusty and his dad. There was no wait, and I was enchanted by the brick walls and rustic, old time charm of this place. A lighted tree outside landmarks the spot. I ordered the chicken with dijon sauce, with sides of spinach and macaroni with cheese. The chicken was good, moist, thick...but the sides were very greasy. The macaroni and cheese wasn't exactly cheesy...the spinach was also almost tasteless. Rusty got the fried shrimp. They were pretty big. Russell Senior got the shrimp scampi. They were also really big looking. Pretty flavorful. We got the red velvet cake for dessert and split it. It left an extremely chalky aftertaste in my mouth. My water glass never got more than half empty...Service was kind of slow, so again, you're going to want a cocktail or something to mull things over. Live jazz music is a plus. This place is ultra chic. I'd go again.

Yesterday we went to this restaurant for my aunts birthday celebration... This was by far the worst experience that I have ever had in a restaurant... The customer service was absolutely horrible, the owner did not accommodate any of the issue that happen. We were served raw chicken and cold food from their buffet.. My cousin who was vegan request options they gave her burnt Mac and cheese which was not edible. We were told one thing on the phone and none of those things were correct when we arrived .... We had a party of 20 people with all the mistakes the owner only took off $10 of a bill of $570. I do not recommend anyone going to this place ever.

The best thing two things about this restaurant were the corn bread and the service. The food and drinks were horrible. Please hear my story: So my partner and I decided to get a bite to eat at this place since we never tried it before. Wrong move. Our appetizer which was the whiting fish fingers had no flavor to it. Sad but the tarter sauce tasted better. The drinks were real blah. First we had the nutcracker drinks and it was disgusting. Then we switched our drinks and those weren't any better. For dinner I had the salmon (which was dry), the Mac and cheese (which tasted like it came out of a box), and the candy yams (was good won't lie). My partner had the blackened catfish with Mac and cheese and broccoli. Hmmmm she didn't enjoy it and ummmm yeah it was pleasing to my eye smh. Overall This place was not that great. Food was worse than ok and definitely not worth the money. Food goers BeWARE!!!

This place reminds me of that show about a bar called "Cheers" where everyone is genuinely welcomed, there's lots of good times and great food. This was my first time visiting and it won't be my last. The staff are incredibly helpful (they can read your mind and figure out what you want to order lol). The ambiance is classy yet comfortable. Lastly, the food is so on point! My family is from the south so my big test on how good the soul food is at a restaurant like this is the collard greens and the amount of hot sauce that is requires - the less needed the better it is. Londell's passed the collards test and I'm forever grateful. I'll definitely will be back for seconds...thirds...and fourths of this place :)

Our server (I think Brian?) was super attentive and charismatic, and walked us through the menu right away. The server had the whole floor and the place is VERY tiny, but I never felt like the service was fake. Wine and beer only (to alert my cocktail lovers), but luckily for us we were in the middle of dry January so although I very much appreciate a cocktail it wasn't too much of a problem. What really shines is the food - just WOW! We were a table of three so we each did the Three-Course meal and shared: Biscuits to start: AMAZING! First Course: Burrata, Pimento Cheese, and Collard Greens Second Course: Ravioli, Gnocchi, and Tagliatelle. Special shoutout to the Reuben-flavored ravioli and Chicken & Dumpling flavored Gnocchi Third Course: Nashville Fried Chicken, and Catfish Everything tasted so so so good and original - I've quite literally never had anything like any of the pastas we tried. The one tiny critique I have is that I don't think a slice of white bread under the fried chicken was necessary. I know it's tradition but I didn't need it with all of the other amazing amazing food we had. All of the desserts sounded absolutely amazing but unfortunately we were all so full and had a show to run to, but I will 100% be back hopefully multiple times and will know for the next time to save some room. Overall 10/10. Definitely recommend getting a reservation as the entire space is maybe 15 seats total!

It's an interesting spot, split seating into two locations but single kitchen. Both seating spots are pretty small/intimate, so expect to get to know your neighbors! We did the pre fixe, so started with the sweet potatoes and hush puppies. The honey butter that comes with the hush puppies was the highlight, so delish but rich. Next the pastas: star of the night! We got the Miso Carbonara Tagliatelle and the Lamb Ragu Orecchiette. Miso carbonara was rich and scrumptious, umami bomb. I'm normally a cream sauce girlie over red, but the lamb ragu stole the show. Super tender chunks of lamb and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Incredible pastas! The mains were okay, pork chop was a bit too salty and the fried catfish was really underwhelming. Service is good, very friendly and efficient. Decor inside is cute too. I think I misordered, if i came back would def stick to the pastas and maybe try the fried chicken. They apparently have a pasta happy hour with half-off pastas, would come back for that.

She also had the Arnold Palmer, which was great. Comes with fries which were good. I had the oxtail, with a side of garlic mash and Mac n cheese. Yes! My drink, sexy sangria was delicious, strong and the service was A1, Brian was great and so was the server. Sampled the hot sauce, very good. Service was great and the restaurant was pleasant and filled with natural light. We didn't have a reservation but there was no problem to be seated quickly and served promptly. Took off one star because a member of my dinner party had trouble returning their side of collard greens due to it being too salty. A staff member who wasn't our original waitress, pressed them to choose another one. So I'm not sure if this restaurant allows you to take an item off the bill if it misses the mark but I'd still return in a heartbeat.
