Excellent food, great service, good prices. Every time I'm in Prescott, I make sure I have breakfast here at least twice. Especially if it's a weekday as there's a low price 2, 3 or 4 item, you choose from a list, delicious breakfast with huge pancakes. The weekend dinner has a properly prepared, tasty, selection of either ribeye or prime rib. I've had both and loved them. If you're looking for wonderfully executed, tasty food in a simple, country western atmosphere, this is definitely the place at which to eat frequently!! My only criticism are the forks. Location right on the square is nice. Larger than it looks so wait times aren't too bad. Western decor and a lot of "animals' hanging on the walls. Service is good, breakfast is also good. Love the homemade jam for toast. Kids love the treat satchel on the way out and it's a good incentive for them. I'm sure part of the problem is coming back from being closed due to Covid19. However, we were given flimsy plastic utensils along with a thin tiny napkin. What's odd is they still used ceramic plates and coffee cups. Service was awful. She would walk away before asking if we needed anything. When we flag her down for something, again, she would walk away before we finished asking for multiple items. No excuse. Don't bring your problems to work especially when waiting on the public. It's not our fault she was having a bad morning. I hope that wasn't her usual or I'd question this establishment for hiring her. Food was not good. Greasy with little flavor. We came here for a bite to eat with family after popping in to many, many antique stores. I love that they offer breakfast and lunch all day. This is the perfect and only way to do food. So natch I ordered the huevos rancheros and the hubs got a chicken wrap. My aunt and uncle split a Reuben. Huevos are my go to breakfast, lunch and dinner food. I love them. These were a good representation of them. The corn tortillas were a little tough and hard to cut. The eggs were perfectly cooked though and the ranch style pinto beans were a nice touch. I would have liked a better salsa on top. The potatoes were delicious and I could not stop eating them even when I was past the point of full. The rest of the fam liked their meal. The side salad that was up charged for $1 for my aunt and uncle was a sad little affair. Brown lettuce with a dried out baby carrot. I went with 3 stars because I really feel like we caught this place at a bad day/time 11:00am on a Saturday. maybe was a changeover or something. We started by being sat with one menu and no mention of the electronic copy we could get, which did not load on the first attempt (I blame the cellular connection) At the table we ordered chicken and waffles, brisket eggs Benedict and a French dip none of the food tasted fresh. Like it had been sitting for a considerable time. Or cooked on a previous day. I read a bunch of these reviews and this makes me think maybe we caught them on a bad day. Coming home from Phoenix, we wanted to take a side trip through Prescott. This seemed like a nice time to try. We arrived early morning and wanted breakfast, so we stopped in for bite, boy were they busy! You'd think it was the only place in town, but you'd be wrong. The food and service here were very nice. We chose the Lone Spur Cafe because it was listed as dog friendly. It is, but note that the patio area is just tables on the sidewalk. Your dogs may or may not deserve the attention from passers by. The staff was awesome with our dogs, and delivered water and treats. We had a crispy chicken salad and grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The salad and sandwich were great, hearty portions. The fries were just okay, maybe the last of the fry basket? More like fry nubs or bits. The ketchup overwhelmed them and I had to use a fork to stab and corral them. No matter. Lunch was great and the service was attentive but not overwhelming. It is the coffee shop equivalent of a dive bar. The coffee is hot, refills are plentiful the food is good, and the service was great. I will admit that the Bloody Mary was lacking a little flavor and garnish. I had an omelette and it was delicious however minus one star because after 11:00am you can't get hash browns. This is a gem of a breakfast place. You can't beat the Lone Spur Cafe! There are real cowboys walking around with guns in this town. It is located directly across the street from the famous clocktower that is in the movie, "Back to the Future" Get the waffle and, if you are tall, watch your head for dangling barbed wire and other things that adorn the walls and ceilings. I frequent here mostly during the week. Jonah is my primary server and we've gotten to a comfortable point where I have to say very little to get my breakfast and coffee. Those days he is not there everyone and the service has been great. The portions are Ginormous and while I try not eat it all the great taste makes it difficult. My husband and I went to Prescott for the day; we both have never been before. We searched for local breakfast restaurants to try and I found a picture of the biscuits and gravy and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere is almost as great as the food! It was like REAL home cooking. The gravy was so full of flavor, light but filling at the same time. Big chunks of salty, delicious sausage and buttery, flaky, soft biscuits. It was perfect. Buttery hashbrowns with cheesy, fluffy eggs and the most savory, oniony, flavorful corned beef to ever come from a restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone. And AUSTIN was a GREAT server. He was checking on not only us, but all his tables so frequently. He was so hospitable and as well the hostess with short black hair. This is a fun place to eat as the western decor is quirky and comfortable. The food is extra good with large portions. My favorite meal here is breakfast and Joe's special never disappoints. The staff is friendly and always willing to accommodate special requests. We drive from PV on a regular basis to eat here as it is truly a favorite restaurant and when we bring friends from out of town they also love the ambience and good food. Highly recommend. read more

Really wanted to enjoy this spot due to menu and yelp reviews. Super disappointed the one time we went. They were out of both of our first 2 choices (corned beef hash and a reuben) settled for eggs benedict and patty melt. They didn't have canadian bacon so asked if I would want regular ham, I said sure but wasn't prepared for a 1 inch thick slab of country ham, it was so off putting, I tried to slice it myself to no avail so just ate what I could. My husband ordered a patty melt with no onions and it came out smothered in onions and when scraped them off noticed the burger patty was smaller than a drink coaster and the cheese wasn't melted. The server was sweet but busy and we waited so long for food that didn't want to complain but was sweet to comp a beer and mimosa. We tipped +20% and left. We were greeted mat the door and led to a booth three seats inside the door. while sitting down for breakfast we were greeted with crusty dirty menus. Austin asked for our drink requests and my husband ordered an orange juice and water. Austin said they did not have orange juice so he could bring water. I said I would start with water. Austin brought the water and walked to the back where he loudly commented on how since they didn't have orange juice we both wanted only water and "there goes my tip." This resonated throughout the empty restaurant as my husband and I were the only patrons. He seemed to be commenting that we would not tip and we weren't being accommodating. What breakfast joint doesn't have orange juice? We were willing to let that go and grab food before leaving town. However his complete crapattitude and rude behavior led us to just leave without ordering. To be So vocal and so outright rude about customers loud enough for them to hear is unacceptable. We were warmly welcomed by the Raven cafe were we got excellent service and delicious food. We did get orange juice and friendly service from all of their staff. Save yourself the trouble and go to the Raven Cafe. And maybe Lone Spur Cafe needs to retrain Austin on customer service and appropriate behavior. read more

My boyfriend and I usually go to Sweet Potato Cafe; however, the place closed down due to the owner passing away suddenly. So we decided to try out this place that we kept seeing in downtown. Because it is Downtown Prescott, there are plenty of (free) parking all around! We parked around the corner. We entered into Lone Spur and was greeted immediately and sat down in a booth, given a menu, and some waters to start. I decided to get the Huevos Rancheros and hashbrowns instead of the potatoes. My boyfriend got the Wagon Wheel Pancake, with a side of whip cream. It took a bit to come out, and we were starving. But once we got our food, we were very satisfied! The food was decent; I felt as though the Huevos did not have as much flavor as I would like, but that's why there's hot sauce! My boyfriend really enjoyed his pancake, but they did not give him enough syrup. Throughout the course of our meal, we did not get a refill of water. None of the employees, or even our waitress, asked how our food was or if there was anything she could get us. I had to call another waitress and ask for 1) more syrup and 2) more water. Minutes pass, and neither came. Finally, our waitress decided to pass by (not stop by) our table, so I asked for the missing items. My glass was halfway empty, but she did not refill it with water... W h y ? Then after, it took a while to get the receipt. I decided that I would just leave money on the table because I was tired of waiting. As soon as I was ready to stand up, they finally gave me my bill. Overall, not too impressed. These prices are California prices for restaurants that are well known and, in my opinion, not worth it. Not sure what happened to this place, but it used to be my favorite place for breakfast when we lived in Prescott. Not anymore. I was there today and was really disappointed with the food. The bacon isn't the way it used to be. It's just regular bacon now, not the thick cut flavorful bacon they used to have. The biscuits aren't good anymore, the sausage gravy has a few chopped up sausage link pieces in it, instead of the ground sausage chunks it used to have in it. The fryer was broken so they couldn't even make chicken corn fried steak. The portions have been cut too. What a shame to let that place go down like that. I won't be back. I was wondering why there was no line to get in when we arrived. Now I know why. Too bad. Not worth my money anymore. read more

Great little restaurant with lots of menu options to satisfy any hungry and/or picky eater. We came here as it seemed to be the only dog friendly breakfast joint. We had the pork chop breakfast and huevos rancheros. Fair prices with a huge food portion. The pork chop was well seasoned and nicely cooked. The huevos were tasty but did not have much of a kick or that Mexican flavor. Coffee was a little weak to my taste, but I'm a coffee snob. Took a walk down Whiskey Row with my boyfriends grandparents and decided to try the Lone Spur Cafe. They said they had eaten there in the past and it was good. We went and were seated quickly. Ken aka Ken Exotic- seriously reminded me of Tiger King was our waiter. He was nice but his silliness and lack of attention to what the restaurant had in stock and what we ordered was irritating. Grandparents ordered a cheeseburger to split. Ken asked if they wanted bacon for $2.99 more they said yes. I ordered the chicken salad that was supposed to have fried chicken, hard boiled egg, bacon, cheese, Avacado olives and tomatoes and my boyfriend ordered a wrap again with bacon. It took forever to get our food I believe over 40 minutes. Last I looked at my watch we were at 32. My boyfriend got a side salad when that came out it was red and looked like it had been sitting for days. He drenched it with ranch dressing and managed to put it down. We both agreed that hopefully my salad wouldn't come out that bad. The burger came out. No bacon and looked like someone ran to McDonald's to get it. My salad came out. Just chicken salad and cheese. I scavenged through to see if I could find the egg or bacon but instead of finding those I found lots of bad brown and soggy salad. This made me sick to my stomach it was gross looking the salad was not fresh and literally brown and wilted! My boyfriend is the only one that had gotten his order correct. We couldn't get our waiter over for a while so I flagged down I think a manager. He was shocked with the salad and instant offered to replace it. I told him no I would just eat the chicken and it's fine. He grabbed my plate and got me a fresh order of chicken. Our waiter finally came over about 5 minutes later and asked where's your salad. I explained that it was sent back and missing bacon and eggs and that the grandparents were missing bacon. By this time they said screw it and had already eaten. Ken comes back and says oh we're out of bacon and eggs. I hear him selling the table behind us and to the right of us the same add bacon for $2.99 like he did for us. All in all terrible experience it took forever and the quality of food was bad. My boyfriend did feel sick later that day we're assuming that was from the salad or wrap since that is all we had eaten that day. Hopefully this place will go out of business and sell to someone who will bring this location back to life. A manager has requested additional information. We ate at the Prescott location. Since she asked for details, my husband went to find a knife and rummaged through a pile before finding a clean utensil. When he mentioned the amount of dirty silverware to the waitress, her response was "I know". My husband and I usually split a meal. Our son joined us for the French toast. This meal used to be served with thick bread. Now the bread is thin and small. My side order or two eggs was $3.00, the same price as a carton of eggs.
