The question is "What went well". The answer is simply everything! Especially our waiter, Jacob! He was informative and knowledgeable of his menu with every recommendation being spot on for each course. The portions were perfect, flavorful and extremely satisfying. The meal was topped off by the outstanding New York - New York Cheesecake with the strawberry purée and the caramel sauce. The overall atmosphere was superb with nothing left to chance. Walked In with my dad and wife. For some reason the hostess who sat us down had the worst attitude and just kept talking down at us and rolling her eyes. This was a pre-85th birthday dinner we decided to celebrate here at the Copper Note. This is a fairly new establishment in PRESCOTT and you can't beat their location right on the square! I was in town visiting my aunt and uncle and wanted to take them somewhere nice for dinner. I came across The Copper Note on Yelp and it looked promising, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located on the second floor, and since I had a group of seniors with me, we appreciated having elevator access. As soon as you step out, you're welcomed by beautiful leather couches, warm wooden floors, and soft lighting that gives the space a relaxed but upscale feel. It's a big open layout with a bar in the center and a friendly host who greeted and seated us right away. The seating options were great -- a mix of standard tables, booths, and tall tables by the window where you can enjoy views of downtown and the courthouse. The vibe throughout the restaurant was warm and inviting. I didn't catch our server's name, but she was incredibly sweet, attentive, and thoughtful. The rest of the staff who passed by our table were friendly as well. Service-wise, everything felt smooth and welcoming. To start, we ordered the Arizona shrimp and the clam chowder. The chowder itself was really good -- creamy, comforting, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. It was topped with one shrimp, corn relish, and a small cilantro garnish. Personally, I felt the chowder was strong enough on its own and didn't necessarily need the extra toppings. Sometimes keeping it simple really lets a dish shine. For my entrée, I ordered the center-cut ribeye cooked medium rare. When I cut into it, it was a perfect medium rare -- juicy and cooked beautifully. The garlic butter was a nice touch. I did feel like it could have used a bit more seasoning, as I found myself adding extra salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. The vegetables weren't my favorite, and the golden mashed potatoes were decent but leaned slightly dry rather than creamy. Not bad -- just not particularly memorable. My aunt ordered the Cioppino. The seafood itself was cooked properly, but the dish was served just warm instead of hot. We asked our server to have it reheated, and she handled it promptly. The broth was a little mild for my taste, but my aunt, who has hypertension, actually appreciated that it wasn't overly salty. For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée, which ended the night on a high note. It had a nice caramelized top and a slight crunch at the bottom -- possibly an Oreo crumble -- which added a fun twist. Overall, the ambiance and service at The Copper Note were truly impeccable and made for a lovely evening with family. While some of the dishes didn't quite match the level I expected for the price point, the experience itself was enjoyable, and the team clearly cares about hospitality. Well, I really wanted to love this place. I thought the atmosphere was very nice, especially if you are able to get a table at the window...which we did not. We came in late on a Wednesday night. It wasn't busy, and the service was great. I ordered the Cioppino, and the BF ordered the pork porterhouse center cut. I didn't care for the Cioppino at all. I felt like the broth base was too fishy, and the seafood in it was overcooked. The BF enjoyed his pork, but thought it was a tad undercooked. We both agreed that we wouldn't come back. With so many other choices, we will be off to find a new favorite. read more

The atmosphere and service are nice and the view of the courthouse square is a bonus. I like the booths and the table lamps which add a touch of class. We went for a late lunch and I had the salmon tacos - kind of an odd choice for tacos. They were cooked well but needed double tortillas in order to keep their shape. They came with avocado and a small healthy salad and pickled jalapeño plus an odd mayonnaise based sauce which just didn't go with tacos. Overall a good dish but a bit overpriced for what it was. A side of whole black beans would be a nice compliment. The flourless chocolate torte was excellent, not too sweet or rich. I think it was made with almond meal. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and greatly enjoyed our dinner! Everything was perfect from start to finish, by the time we left we were so happy with our experience we thought why would anyone go anywhere else?? This is absolutely the spot to be. We started with the jumbo shrimp cocktail (a MUST), ahi tuna poke (another must, it is delicious and so fresh), and the rockin riblets (the best ribs I have ever had). For our entrees my husband had the ribeye which was cooked to perfection and I had the salmon which was also delicious! Our server Jacob was incredibly attentive and professional and made our evening feel very special. His service was top notch! We had such a great experience! Our server, Sandra, was incredibly sweet and so knowledgeable. We're from the Valley, and she gave us tons of amazing recommendations for local spots to check out. I have celiac and my boyfriend has a nut allergy, and she knew exactly what we could order and made sure everything was safe for us. I took my husband to the Copper Note for his birthday. I made it an early appointment (4 p.m.). We got a table by the window, which ended up being the only plus from this dining experience. My husband ordered the Ahi and I ordered the ribeye, rare. Our dinner was brought to our table in a timely manner. When I cut into my ribeye, the color actually a yellow-green with a very large amount of fat bursting out of it. We waited for our server to come back to our table to check on our food, but she was nowhere to be found. My husband had to get up from the table and try to find her. Evidently, they were having a staff meeting at the bar, so my husband was able to speak directly to the manager. When he came to the table, he was visibly disgusted and apologized and told me that he would get me a new one. I presumed that he took it to the kitchen. but he was gone for over 45 minutes. The table next to us seated a couple, they ate, left and another couple was seated, ate and left by the time the manager returned to our table, with my steak , my husband had already finished his meal. He ordered an after dinner drink to sip while I attempted to eat my meal. I was very disappointed. Although my second steak was cooked properly, my vegetables and fancy mashed potatoes were bland and cool to the touch. I took a few bites of my sixty-four dollar steak, it was tasty, although unseasoned. It was hard to cut because of the gristle or perhaps my steak knife was dull, for whatever reason, I had to fight with my steak for every bite. After a few minutes of battling with my dinner, I asked to have it boxed up. We had already been there for over 2 hours and since I was actually eating alone so I pretty much lost my appetite. I asked for the dessert menu (it was my husband's birthday after all) and we ordered the flourless chocolate cake. It was pretty good, but it wasn't enough to turn around my utter disappointment in our evening. My husband and I do not go out to dinner very often, especially to a restaurant that is close to 100 dollars for each meal, with one glass of wine ( for him only). So, to wrap up my review, not only was this restaurant disappointing, but it was also expensive (especially on a fixed income). When the check came, our waitress was very perky and apologetic, and told us that she took the chocolate cake off of our bill to make up for our dinner issues. I personally think that our dinners should have been comped, or at least mine, but I guess they thought chocolate cake was a good enough of an effort to fix things. There are plenty of other places to eat that are just as good, and that will not make you eating alone, while we are sitting right next to each other, especially on a special occasion. I am still disappointed, even a day later. P.S. When we got home, my husband told me that after her ate his dinner, he found a black hair stuck on his plate, (I guess he didn't want me to blow a gasket in public). Will be a great place to go during Christmas/ New Years when the square is all lit up. Cons: On the $$$ expensive side for just so-so food. Temperature was hot as blazes in there today (4pm). No chicken entrees - only beef and seafood. Wah? When crowded, expect service to slow to a crawl. Got lap showered twice with Parmesan shavings :-). No ice with the water. Asked but never happened. Food is meh. (see below). Noise level got quite high. Reservation system is super annoying - how many texts and phone calls does one need to confirm a rezzy? Apparently 5 for the Copper Note. Food: Well, paying $32 for a their signature pasta dish is a big no-no. Halibut was on the dry side. Poke was a joke. Riblets were good - mine are better at home. Caesar salad is another meh. Just nothing to write home about here. Expected to be wowed. More like a sigh. Won't name them, but there are better value proposition restaurants within a short walk from here. Had dinner last night at the Copper Note in Prescott. I live locally and enjoy going to Copper Note when company comes in. Once again, Copper Note, did not disappoint. Our server was Sandra. She was excellent. Very attentive, knew the menu well, and a pleasure to meet! We started with the Arizona clam and shrimp chowder. It is the best! I order a cup every time I am there. Packed full of deliciousness with the perfect amount of heat. Knowing that the entree portions are very good sized, I ordered the seared Ahi Tuna salad. It was perfect! A very large salad with lots of tuna, avocado, cucumber and the dressing was perfect! My son and his wife had the ribs and seared Ahi Tuna entree. Both entrees were very good. Hands down the #1 restaurant in Prescott. I've been to Copper Note at least 20 times, and it never disappoints. I'm so grateful that Prescott now has a true higher-end dining experience like this. The service is consistently excellent, the ambiance is warm and refined, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Fresh fish, perfectly prepared beef everything is thoughtful and elevated. My go-to favorites are the Voo Doo Pasta (absolutely incredible) and the Maple Old Fashioned, which is easily one of the best cocktails in town. Copper Note has raised the bar for dining in Prescott. While we were waiting for our reservation, a server came by to take drink orders, which was such a great touch and immediately set the tone for the evening. Our waitress, Sandra, was outstanding. We were greeted right away, when we arrived at the top of the stairs. The space is open, and beautiful. We were shown to our table quickly and our server (Angelica, I believe was her name) was professional and sincere. EVERYTHING was exceptional!
