I guess I started this review and never finished. I've picked up 4-5 times and each time and get amazing walk-in service and the food quality is always consistent and delicious. I was interested in having a somewhat traditional banh mi, so I went with the kung pao pork, and my friend and I split the kimchi fries. The banh mi was really good and everything inside - the pork, the aioli - packed with flavor! I'm not too fond of kimchi itself, but I did really enjoy the kimchi fries as well. The kimchi wasn't too strong, and the combination of the fries and the other toppings was so good that we demolished it. There is such an array of options here, and I can't wait to come back and try some of the other banh mi! The rice bowls seemed pretty popular, too, as I saw a lot of people order them while I was here. Lastly, I came in on a Tuesday, and they have BOGO for their soft-serve and cookies! this is the easiest five stars. the efficiency going from food truck to a restaurant shouldn't be overlooked. i went on a sunday during brunch & ordered the breakfast brioche. i had a hard time choosing between the sausage patty & the candied bacon. i went with the sausage & i made the better choice. it comes with one easy egg, cilantro, aioli of choice (i chose the cilantro pesto), fries, swan bros. cheese curds & slaw. it was incredible. there's no need for extra sauce, at the same time, it doesn't hurt to add a little sriracha or the wasabi sauce. it's a nice size breakfast sandwich. the wontons dusted with cinnamon & sugar was a nice touch. out of the thousands of times i've visited the food truck, they managed to add a few different touches like having ice cream, separate menus (i.e. brunch), local sodas, etc. they're parked at a perfect location, i know it must stay busy during the art crawl. some of the best tulsa has to offer. read more

I am not a Bahn Mi expert by any means. I had the Kung Pao and it was good. A little dry and chewy but good. Opted for the Spicy Korean Peanuts and they gave a nice crunch and spice. A Tulsa classic, Lone wolf brings complex flavors to something as simple as Banh Mi, basically an 8" baguette with kimchi on top of your choice of protein and sauce. They also have great options for kids, salad options and fried rice bowls if a sandwich isn't your style. I love that over the last few years they have expanded their menu, which now includes more options, including a vegan fritter, which was incredible. I'm in town visiting and I wanted to find the closest thing to Banh mi. With so many high ratings I decided to give this place a try. Kung Pao Banh Mi 4/10 I have to say it was just ok. My meat was really salty and that's all it was. Bread was eh, and the daikons weren't really "pickled". It comes with won ton chips which were sprinkled in churro sugar (just sweet) I also ordered the most rated kimchi fries 4/10 Fries were hard and the cheese tasted like it was melted in a microwave with the fries under. The Kimchi and pickles were good! Sauce was good too. But if I had to give my honest opinion, this place is WAY OVERHYPED. Would I ever come back for a second chance? I have been here two or three times and have loved both my Bahn mi and pho. I always wish I had more sauces to pour into my pho but the cups they give are super small and I feel bad asking for like six of them haha. Great lunch place. We stopped here after going to the Bob Dylan Center, and it's conveniently located. We had two different types of banh mi sandwiches, the portobello and pork belly ones. Both were delicious, well seasoned and with delightful bread. IMHO, the pork belly one was exceptional. We also had the kimchi fries, which I feel are a must-try treat. They have a fast food style set-up for service but the food and beer selection are definitely elevated. They definitely do vietnamese/american fusion justice with everything from their banh mi to their rice bowls. My personal favorites usually involve the jalapeno pesto meatballs, a fried egg and kimchi. PLUS the kimchi fries taste just as delicious as leftovers, which is like 90% of my review criteria since I love me some leftovers! On top of that, the location is amazing.
