Not sure about the other older reviews, but the food was good, the place was clean and service excellent. Would stop again for sure.

We visited here for our 21st Wedding Anniversary!…read more Great ambience and plenty of room in the different areas. Drink/wine selection is top notch- we went with the Pinot Noir. Started with the crab dip- great flavor and texture, fresh scallions and shaved cheese which helped build up the crab flavor- even got extra bread for the dip since it was a good sized portion, Baby green salad- fresh, crisp lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes in a vinaigrette Bacon wrapped pork loin was flavorful and tender on the inside while the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The highlight was the squash - almost like a veggie lasagna. Char grilled cab ribeye- cookedto perfection (medium rare) with potatoes. Balsamic fingerling potatoes- while they had agreat taste and texture- little too sweet. Finished with a key lime pie- heaven in a pie crust- great key lime flavors, meringue was to perfection!

Food: Cornbread- unexpected. This was the free bread corse for the table but it was not expected. This didn't come out until after we ordered our meal. If we had known, we wouldn't have ordered such big meals. Crab & Artichoke dip- Delicious! The dig was luscious and came out piping hot! Definitely burnt my mouth because I was impatient Hawaiian Fish- Big portions! It is true when they say that everything is bigger in the south! The fish was light and free of the fishy scent. The rice was a bit mushy from the cook and the addition of sauce. Angus Filet Mignon- standard. The filet was cooked nicely and the lobster compound butter was a nice touch. On to my next adventure...

(See pic) I also asked for them to be fried hard. Tasted like they were drenched in bbq sauce out the bottle. Nothing special. 0/10 Combo#1 seafood boil- umm underwhelmed. Didn't see any garlic pieces tastes like country crock and garlic powder with a sprinkle of Cajun seasonings for razzledazzle. The skinniest crab legs about the same size as the china buffet's and the shrimp was over cooked. 3/10 go to storming crab and pay the extra money! $21.99 Shrimp Hibachi fried rice- no flavor and only 4 pieces of shrimp. 3/10 $14.95 Service- 3/10 Staff was rushing us to order and didn't provide us with crab cracker tool and when we asked for a crab cracker tool they said to bring the tool back up to them once we are done. lol they had an employees teenager waiting in the dinning area and the staff who was taking drive through orders was outside smoking while doing so. Idk. Ambiance- 7/10 it was clean on the inside. But they had some weird show on the tv.

This might be the worst restaurant in southern Indiana…read more The view is absolutely gorgeous but the food is horrible and the service, if you can even call it that, is atrocious. We paid $18 for the shrimp platter and $28 for the seafood platter. Frozen SeaPak seafood from Walmart blows their "seafood" out of the water. I realize this is Indiana, so it may be frozen - but it was just plain gross. I didn't even try one of the "oysters" served on the platter - they literally looked like somebody in the back had sat on them. Disgusting. Drive by and enjoy the view but don't waste a penny at this dump.

We just kind of stumbled on this diamond in the rough. It's…read morea large building mainly made of corrugated metal sheets; probably put together small sections at a time; but is a large place. Nothing fancy but then that's what you want in a dive bar type location. It's not run down but authentic bar in the woods where locals and visitors like to come hang out. I heard there used to be an actual dock here for boats on the Ohio could pull up. It is a decent outside sitting area as well as big interior. They sell food, non alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, ice cream and food. They had a country style singer Chris Bell ( I think he's local boy ). In my opinion he is very good and has his own distinct voice. We really liked the no frills atmosphere and staff were always pleasant and ready to answer any questions you might have. Food and beverage are typically priced the same or in order with other locations. We had eaten before we found this place but next time back we will test the food. The wings l looked good and the fish looked like a staple for locals. Many were there to listen to Chris and have some food and a few libations while enjoying the singer. We noticed that they had list of entertainment for the next few days. This location has a beautiful view of the Ohio River especially for sunset pictures. It is located off the beaten path somewhat but pristine in ambiance. Look forward to coming back again for some food. Some don't care for the "place order for food and come back and pick up when ready" but that is just its original style and format. People were all friendly! Can't wait to go back!

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.
