Longbottom has the best coffee ever! They have decent food, too. The service is good and if you buy a pound of coffee, they give you a freebie to go with it. The freebie is already ground, oh well. My wife wanted breakfast. I wanted lunch. It was 1 PM. What to do? "Hey let's try Longbottom," she said. Well I had just finished my favorite Longbottom cappuccino from Wake the Sloth Cafe in Peterkort after a medical appointment, so I was game. I didn't expect much given that Longbottom is known for their excellent coffee not cuisine, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had an excellent Cobb salad with champagne dressing and she had a Belgian waffle combo with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. You can do that waffle combo anywhere you want, with potatoes or fruit. There's a big window looking into that warehouse for you can see mountains of coffee and roasting apparatus. I don't know if they have a full kitchen, but they have lots of pastries and full breakfast and sandwiches and Panini pizza. And of course lots of coffee. Enjoy! Sorry I didn't take a picture. [May 4th order review] The staff seem nice enough (nothing against any of them personally) but the garden omelette dish I ordered was absolutely awful (I literally threw out most of it after paying $13!!) . I would've talked to them in person about this normally but that wasn't a possibility with the long lines they had. In town to visit family I have heard amazing things about this place and wanted to give it a try! As I walked in to order my food the "owner" demanded I leave the establishment due to my dog ... mind you she's a service dog. He continued to say it was because she didn't have a harness on and a leash doesn't make a service dog a service dog??? He asked me how much money I spent on her because I should've paid $10,000 if she was a service dog as well asked me what her job was. I told him that I did not have to disclose any of that information with him. He continues to tell me that I needed to leave and I was no longer welcomed back. It was very disappointing and humiliating how this grown man went about it. My service dog was laying down the whole time behaving herself, as she should. The only one making a scene and being disruptive was the OWNER. I had a witness and she WAS a loyal customer who told me she'd never come back again due to the way he treated and talked to me. Multiple employees looked distressed with his outburst and apologized on his behalf. The cops didn't do anything ... shocker. Stay away if you have a service dog as they'll refuse service to you! read more

Okay, I have held off writing a review because I don't want everyone to know about this place. But I guess I should stop being so selfish.. I LOVE Long Bottoms. Love, love, love. First, the coffee itself is SO good. I like to grab a sample whenever I'm here. I love their mochas too! You can taste the difference from the coffee being made in house. Second, the food! Also so good! I've tried a few different items including Jesse's Bagel and the Allstar. Both are amazing options. High quality, large portions, good price! It is on the more expensive side but it's worth it! I love their scones too. It is counter service but I think it's better that way. Parking and seating can get tight but that's not their fault! A gem located in a largely industrial area. If you get here at the wrong time, you'll definitely know it because it gets PACKED. For there to be a crowded coffee shop next to a hydrogen product plant, you know it's good. This place has my wife's favorite iced coffee in the area. The breakfast is just okay, I think there's too much going on in the breakfast burrito and the salsa lacks heat. But the lunch is fantastic. The veggie sandwich, which I usually stray from, is packed with tons of textures and tastes. The chicken salad sandwich is perfect (sans the awkward stuffing of lettuce behind the chicken salad). It's got a huge amount of chicken and the dressing it's mixed with is a great compliment to the chicken without overpowering it. It tastes light and fresh. We decided to go here for the first time this morning around 10 a.m. Not sure about the seating or process to order, the woman at the cashier was very helpful and patient. We were able to find a table near the window even though they were busy. The food was delicious! We ordered a bagel sandwich and a burrito and both exceeded our expectations. The prices are reasonable too. Our toddler had a onsie(it's an egg, meat and fruit) and he ate it up. Coffee was also great! The eggnog latte was subtle and not too sweet. Out in the middle of industrial nowhere, behind a mega deluxe golf driving range, Top Golf, is a very large building that is dedicated to breakfast and coffee excellence. They obviously have a very devoted clientele, the place was busy with people who didn't seem to be working. Most came and sat down and spent some time there between 9:30 to 11:00 AM during a Monday morning. There was even a State Trooper that came through for takeout. You gotta figure they don't fool around unless it's worth the stop. My friend had a very tasty Eggs Benedict. I had the "New" West Coast Hash. I really enjoyed my breakfast. Hash brown potatoes were a bed for piles of diced bacon and breakfast sausage with an arm wave of cheddar cheese. They severed some salsa, but I didn't use it, or think to taste it. First thing in the morning can be a delicate time for taste buds, and assaulting them with salsa isn't something that I cherish. Little slivers of jalapeño were hidden, creating culinary land mines that were enough for me to tackle. I didn't find the roast for the coffees I tried at the UServer station to be a big allure to make the trip more often. It's good coffee, but not great. The Servers were a cheery start to the day. If your driving through Portland on Rt. 26 and are hungry, it's a perfect spot to stop by takeout or sit down for a break. read more

Everyone I work with loves this place - their recommendations are why I tried it to begin with! As far as a sit down restaurant goes, you won't find any booths - all the seating is pretty casual, tables and chairs. It gets really crowded here in the early mornings (7:00 - 9:00) as people are stopping in to grab a coffee and breakfast before work. It's also packed on weekend mornings, typically with families stopping in for breakfast/brunch. But it is a nice place to come if you have a larger group, as they can easily rearrange seating to suit your needs. There are also a couple of outdoor tables and chairs if you prefer. As for prices - I think it's extremely reasonable. I can get a breakfast big enough to serve 2 people for less than $10. I am an extremely picky eater, and the breakfast food here has never disappointed. The breakfast burrito is big enough to serve two people and comes packed with sausage, cheese, roasted red peppers and a savory chiptole aioli. The side of potatoes it comes with are seasoned well and very peppery (I love them that way). I've also had the Dave's bagel, and several of their other breakfast plates. (I'm more of a savory breakfast food person, but the waffles and french toast are amazing too.) The food is always fresh and well seasoned, and portions are the typical American huge. I appreciate that they use local and organic ingredients too, including cage free eggs. As far as their lunch menu goes, I will admit I am less intrigued by their lunch selections. They have the typical soup, salads, grilled cheese, and lots of deli sandwiches (that I haven't tried). My review is more in favor of their breakfast, baked goods, coffee, and tea. If you are looking for somewhere local to go for breakfast and you don't feel like waiting in line outside to have brunch at a trendy hipster restaurant in Portland, Longbottom is sure to satisfy your breakfast cravings, without having to resort to the nearest IHOP (gross!) read more

Ordered the breakfast farmers omelet. foods arrived quickly and the potatoes on the plate was all half cold. I think they must be using frozen potatoes. After informing the staff, they promptly take my dish back. It came back all shuffled up (toast on top of the orange fruit). potato were steaming hot. it tasted dry so i think they must have just quickly microwaved it. The lines can be long, especially in the summer when cyclists stop here on their way to the country roads, and table service is slow and usually sub-par. The eggs are OK, the bacon decent and the bread a bit dry, though healthful, as a butter substitute is used. Supposedly the coffee is good, but we are tea drinkers. I knew of this place only through yelp when searching for breakfast places. Their selection of coffee is pretty good and i liked the Sumatran blend which was not too dark and had a bold flavor to it. I tried the Belgian waffle and it was so so and nothing much to write home about. At $6 for just an average waffle with only syrup and butter is a little expensive for a fast eatery kind of place. I have had better waffles at the Intel cafeteria than this one :) I would recommend this place for just their coffee and to grab a quick bite like a scone, muffin etc. I havent tried their other breakfast options and wouldn't draw a conclusion just yet. read more
