I went on a Saturday around 3:30pm with no appointment. As soon as I came in, the windchimes on the door alerted the front desk, and he came out immediately. I pointed to the service I wanted, and he brought me back right away. I got the 60-minute full-body massage, which was only $65! I paid at the front before my massage. I was put into a private room and was told to change out of my clothes. I went onto the bed under a sheet, and they started the massage right away. I was a little hesitant, but the man was very nice and polite, asking if the pressure was okay and if I was doing okay throughout the massage. He really put pressure on getting my knots out. It really hurt in a good way. He went over tight areas multiple times and somehow always knew when to stop when it was getting a bit too painful. (You can always ask him to go softer, but my neck really hurt and I could feel the knots as he was working on it, so I just took it like a champ). If you're looking to be pampered like you're in a Beverly Hills-style spa, this is not it. But if you're feeling tired from a rough time at work, like I was, and need to get rid of some body tension and relax at a lower price, this is perfect. I did note that the bed had a little bit of an older smell (reminded me of my grandpa), but I did not mind. The gentleman at the front suggested the 30 min full body massage where the therapist could focus on my problem areas. Zero wait. Paid $45 up front, was lead to a private room, instructed to remove my clothes, and left to prepare before the therapist arrived. I didn't expect that (thought I'd be in the group room), but proceeded to undress, crossing fingers I would be assigned a female massage therapist, as I wasn't quite asked about gender preference. Lying face down, another gentleman entered the room, and began tending to my knots. I kinda panicked in my mind at first but gave it some time. Luckily, he was very skilled, seemingly dedicating every ounce of energy he had in breaking through all these bricks in my back. I was amazed he could make half an hour feel complete in the way that is experienced in a full hour massage. He checked in periodically, asking if the pressure was ok. I said yes -- though it actually hurt like hell -- because I really needed a deep, deep tissue massage. Whew, progress was made. He later met me at the front door, asking if I was okay. I'm glad I called ahead so we didn't have to wait there. You have to pay first. We chose the 60min foot & back massage. We were then led to the "group room" which still felt private as there was no one else but us there at that time. The entire experience actually exceeded our expectations! We didn't expect much given the few Yelp reviews, sketchy low prices and unassuming Asian plaza location (ironically they are right next to the most popular banh mi shop). The last time I went to one of these Asian foot spas was over 10yrs ago, so that was pre PRE covid era. I wasn't new to the game, but this time was actually better than I remembered. The group area seemed clean and well kept. There was a spa smell with ambiant music playing. Light was dim. The gentlemen who massaged us were actually gentle but also toughly kneaded the knots I didn't want on my upper back. All this while I was fully clothed and comfortable. They cover you with a towel like a blanket as well. After the hour was finished, I felt so relaxed and relieved of my upper back pain. I just wish more time was spent on my back rather than my feet, which was mostly rubbing. The $40 +$10 tip was well worth the 60mins. We already talked about coming here regularly. We called in an hour ahead and had no problem coming in last minute on a Sunday evening. Staff at the front desk was friendly, and pricing was fair. There was no music playing at all during our time in the massage room, so if you're not a fan of awkward silence, take note. At least the employees weren't chatty either, so we could relax in peace. We each got the foot massage (which includes the back and full body), a fully clothed treatment which takes place in a group room with multiple massage beds. I was in heaven with my masseur applying remarkable pressure and technique on all parts (head, neck, shoulders, back, feet). It wasn't quite a deep tissue massage but it was definitely strong... his ability to find all the right spots and loosen up the tightness in my muscles was impressive. It was an absolutely therapeutic experience. I especially liked the rolling technique he applied to the bottom of my feet, probably the best foot massage I've had, again good pressure but not to the point of being painful. I used to really enjoy coming here when Jason was working, but unfortunately my recent visit was very disappointing. I booked 90 minute massage for two, and both of us left very unhappy. Our massage was so bad that we ended it early. My therapist used an excessive amount of oil and the movements felt more like being aggressively scrubbed down rather than a real massage. It honestly felt like I was getting a Korean body scrub. On the other hand, my partner's massage was the complete opposite: just being lathered with lotion and oil, with no pressure at all. Even after asking the masseuse to adjust the pressure, nothing changed. It was so bad that we stopped the massage about half way in and left. I have chronic low back pain and I see Jack at least once a month for a full body massage, which helps tremendously. He uses acupressure and deep tissue massage - he will also adjust if I ask him to do something different or focus on a specific sore spot. Highly recommend - he's excellent. The place is clean, they separated us from others 6 ft or more, which I really appreciated. It was very quiet, I was able to enjoy the massage and music. Usually, in these foot massages you hear the masseuses speaking loudly and converse for hours on end. It totally kills the "R&R" mood. The massage for 1.5 hr was $45, was so cheap especially, they know how to work out your knots. I tipped $20 each because they totally deserve it and my massage was below the usual price I pay. Don't be decieved by the good reviews on yelp like we were. I've been to many massage places before and have tried different types of massages. This was not my first time having a massage but my first time at this place. I wanted to try something new and there were many good reviews for this place. I walked in a little sore and needing to relax. They were full at 4pm so they scheduled us at 7pm. We chose this place because of the great pricing. We waited somewhere else and came back around 6:45pm. We had the couples room. My friend had a male masseus and I had a woman. Once we started I started feeling pain. I told her and she went a little lighter but it didn't really help. I was winching and even flexing to protect myself from the pain. I even asked her to stop at one point before continuing. I could tell the way she was massaging me felt very wrong. It was like she was kneading at my bones. It was so bad that I had to try to put myself in a happy space in my head to distract from the pain. After my massage I had zero relief. I was in more pain than when I came in and not in a good way. All of my body became tense and stiff. After my first time having this kind of massage and not feeling satisfied at all, i planned to only tip 10 dollars. That's more than 12%. The cashier told me I should tip more than 10 dollars because of the effort the masseurs gave. I felt bad since they did dedicate 1.5 hours of their time but I did not think the experience was worth 10 dollar tip each person in the first place. She even told me 10 dollars is not enough and that I should tip more. If I tipped more that would be 18 - 20% tip. If I could kindly suggest, instead of trying to coerce me into tipping your workers more I would appreciate it if you paid them better or raised the price. I don't mind knowing the price up front. I came into this experience thinking I had a choice of how much I can tip and instead there was a long conversation about how tips should be at least 15 or more dollars and my 10 dollars was not enough. She let it go and took our 10 dollars and finally said, "oh, it's your first time here right. It's okay. It's okay, you're new here so you don't know." I had light bruising on my legs the next day. It was hard to recover from this. I went to gym two days later and easily felt my body was not right. My muscles had a harder time and my whole body was locked. I went to my chiropractor and he was shocked. He told me, "I don't know what you did but you really messed up your body. Everything is off and wrong. We'll need to fix this and you'll need to come in more often to correct this." Never going back to this place. It cost me more to fix what happened after the massage. read more

I hate to give this place a 2 star but it must be done. My boyfriend and I came here for there 60minute massage- it was one of the most painful 60 minutes of my life. We walked in got greeted and waited about 30mins for our turn (no biggie we were walk-ins) we get 2 men and we start our massage, we started with head massages and we can both say it felt like they were both trying to crush our skulls IMMEDIATELY A RED FLAG but I ignored it and let him do his job. He started to do my arms and the real pain began. I was in so much pain I had to tell him to go more gentle/softer. My discomfort did not bother him & he kept the amount of pressure even making discomfort noises!! He then moved to my legs WHICH IS THE WORST PART...I can tell he knows his bones well but it was too much pressure and pain for me I had to tell him to stop and do something else (I told him to be gentle or go softer atleast 10x). He then started my foot and I thought it was going to be fine because I can take a lot of pain and pressure for my foot...BUT NO I WAS IN IMMEDIATE PAIN!!! I was in so much discomfort I pulled my foot away and he tried to grab it and kept going!! The entire time I was making discomfort noises and letting him know to please be gentler but he never listened! (When I was in discomfort I looked over at my boyfriend and he looked like he was in pain...) We then started doing my back (WHEN STARTING BACK IMMEDIATELY EXPRESS IF U DONT WANT THEM TO PULL YOUR PANTS DOWN,THEY WILL NOT WARN U) as he was trying to pull my pants down I had to quickly tell him I was not interested in getting a massage near that area and that my upper back is the spot...we start back and I was again in terrible pain expressing I feel hurt. And there's this soft spot on my back and he started adding way to much pressure and I'm making my hand fist because of the pain AND INSTEAD OF STOPPING...HE MAKES ME RELAX MY HAND AND FORCES MY HAND TO STAY FLAT BY PUTTING HIS HAND ON TOP OF MINE FORCEFULLY as he massages my soft spot while I'm wincing and him saying "It's okay". Yeah please please please do not get the men here unless you can take an insane amount of pain. It's sad because the 2 men massagers were nice but it was way too painful to even enjoy!!! I had a 10 out of 10 strength finger pressure points and fully removed all my knots and tensions from the top of my head to my neck. Remember to help him locate your pain points by moving your head or neck slowly when needed. He use A LOT of force.
