    Beast burger be hittin!!!!

My wife and I absolutely love this place. Everybody who works here is the sweetest and the pours are sturdy. The steaks and the salad bar are also straight fire! Order the ribeye or the beast burger and you won't be disappointed. My favorite part is we came here twice and they remembered our drinks the third time. Made us feel like regulars and we really appreciate it! Thank you guys!

10SEP2020 Walked in front doors (restaurant side) with my service dog & a family member to have a late lunch. We saw only 2 people eating. Renae immediately approached and asked what my dog was "for". Obviously, I know the ADA allowable questions are: 1) Is this a service dog? &, 2) What tasks have the service animal been trained to perform? I began, "He's my service dog, he makes space for..." Before I could finish detailing what service he does, she interrupted, and said, "He can't be in here". (He was silent and in heel position, mind you.) We are a team and have never been mistreated this way. In shock, I voluntarily offered my doctor's letter, which she flatly refused, telling us to leave. I told her she might want to check with the ADA and she said she knows the law! I was affected deeply by this. The food in the Mexican restaurant next door is excellent and THEY are ADA compliant, like everywhere else we have ever gone.

    Great place to eat!

However, there was still service, thankfully. So, you grab a couple menus, go sit down and discuss your options. Once you know what you want, you go back to the bar, order, and they bring it out to your table. So, there *is service. Food was good! I had some fancy strawberry salad, and some homemade pretzels that were awesome! Both my sister and my mother had burgers, and they seemed happy with their choices. My one issue, which is no big deal really, is their up-charge for ordering a kid's burger for someone other than a kid... My mother is 89 years old, she can't put away a large burger, she wants something small. So, if we're pricing the burger based on its size, why does it matter who's eating it? ‍ To charge extra seems dishonest... I even pointed it out to the guy at the bar that it's for my 89-year-old mother, but did he care? Apparently not ‍ Nevertheless, that issue aside, it's a nice place for lunch. I think you'll enjoy the food as well. Prost!

I ordered the pasta bolognese and a seasonal lemon drop, and both were genuinely the best I've ever had. The bolognese was rich and perfectly balanced, with deep, slow-cooked flavor and pasta cooked exactly right. Every bite felt thoughtful and well executed. The lemon drop was just as impressive -- bright, fresh, and not overly sweet, with a clean citrus finish that made it hard not to order another. The atmosphere strikes that ideal balance of relaxed and refined, and the service was attentive with a splash of "feels like home." Everything was clearly itemized on our bill, and there were no surprises. It's clear they care about quality and providing a complete dining experience beyond a great plate of food. Large portions, delicious food, well-made cocktails, solid service, and a unique setting compelled us to tip handsomely. It was a great experience. If you are in St. Helens, this place is worth your time. I'll absolutely be back. We left genuinely impressed!

Wasn't here for the food, though, was here for the absolutely stunning whiskey selection and the fact that this is easily the best Old Fashioned between the Willamette and the ocean. No, really, your fancy stuffy Portland bar does not pour as good and Old Fashioned. And every time, that's the Klondike. The bartenders are awesome and friendly, the...no, sorry, man, the Old Fashioned. I gotta keep talking about it, because it's that good. (Oh, also the zero proof selection is fire. Had some egg nog concoction back around Xmas when I had to drive and you know for an 0.0 that was 100% tasty.) I don't know the magic. Their Manhattan and Brooklyn, also solid, but it's getting the perfect balance in the cocktail and it's real hard to find anything that holds a candle at twice the price. Now, is it Decibel good? Yes, actually, with the same vibe of that I don't feel weird as a blue-collar type here, nor am I surrounded by blue-collarosplayers, a big problem in Portland. So, yeah, amazing to get a snotty bar quality Old Fashioned at a welcoming place for a welcoming price. You should stop in and make sure you're not wearing socks you're too attached to because it will knock them off.

Pretty big place although there was only one old geezer (besides me) sitting there watching the door at noon... and already feeling no pain. Oddly or perhaps not, I have never seen a Biker in here. There's usually a dozen or more Harleys as well as sport bikes parked on the main drag but this gin mill doesn't seem to be favored by them. Or perhaps visa versa? I've read the reviews where patrons felt like the locals didn't want them there. Never had that problem or at least not to my face. I like the place alright. I wouldn't want to have my wedding reception here but it's a good place to stop for a brew. The food is surprisingly good although I wouldn't stray too far from the bar food standards... sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips. They have an extensive pizza menu although I've never tried one there. It's a club sandwich or a burger for me. They have a LoggerBurger that is not for children and you definitely won't be hungry once you're done, assuming you can even finish it. Wait staff experience has varied. No complaints on this go-around. They have a little outdoor patio which is where you'd want to head if it gets noisy inside (or if you don't care to eat and drink in a dark cave). I can see why Prius owners might not like this place much. I've been to better myself. But it's better than "ok" if you are a greasy Biker like me hence the four stars. I've never been here after dark but the place has the vibe where you might want to just sit there quietly lest some townie take offense at your presence and things could go sideways quickly. Or not. Just seems like the type of bar where you could find yourself in a fight without trying very hard. Full bar that caters to serious drinkers. Colorado Koolaid on tap for me but you could definitely get hammered here quickly if that's your objective.

Our server first came out and said it'd be a little bit of a wait. We ordered two rounds of breadsticks and drinks then our main meals. She got drinks out fairly quickly but then all of a sudden our server just left. No saying goodbye or anything. We sat there for over an hour and a half! Never got asked if we wanted refills on drinks or anything. The kids and I asked for pickles and only one of us got any, there was no server in site to ask for any. One of us got a western burger and at the end on the plate there was corn? Then it came down to paying. I had to run around and look for someone to take my money, they said they don't collect money from outside or up front and I'd have to ask the bartender to cash me out. I ended up waiting over 10 minutes at the bar just to pay... It was overall a horrible experience and I don't think we'll ever be back. I never make reviews but I figured I'd save other people the frustration and disappointment
