It's alive with the quite wave of conversations washing over the restaurant this Saturday evening. Despite the busy atmosphere, the receptionist finds us a table quickly and adjusts to our changing plans with kids seating. Our waitress, August, has a bright smile and outgoing personality. She is a genuinely nice person. A perfect contrast to our my family's day, which has been filled with miserable deep cleaning for spring. She commiserates with our care worn state and later on with desert leaves us a sweet message of encouragement. Our waitress suggests we try an Ultra drink... and my wife does, finding it refreshing. I mention I'm a heavy drinker... of water and she comes back with a second glass so I won't be waiting on her with the busy atmosphere. We never feel neglected despite her having a big table with more than ten people. The Ribeye steaks we order are cooked to perfection and have a good peppery flavor, and the sides are a great compliment. The corn reminds us of Mexican street corn. The atmosphere is perfect for conversation as it never gets too loud for us, especially if you get one of their booths. Yes... I would recommend you eat at this Long Horn. read more

wonderful meal: Petit filet, baked potato, and salad! My server was absolutely amazing. Bethany was the embodiment of a conscientious, gracious, salt of the earth employee. She was quick and efficient, but what really stood out was her consistency towards all her tables and her sweet disposition. I'm retired from restaurant management of 30 years and I'm always curious watching restaurant staff, wherever I go. She was empathetic as I shared that I have been sitting / sleeping by my husband's side while he's been in ICU the past 6 nights. I wish (hope) every employer has a Bethany! read more

The meal and service were great overall. However, this is the second time I've come to eat here and my meat has been under what I've requested. I don't like pink meat and request it well done. Past two times it's been medium or medium rare. The rest of the meal was great however, and I would recommend the burger and tonin! Make sure you ask for extra sauce with the tonin otherwise you'll run out. read more

We haven't been to a Longhorn in almost 10 years due to a horrible experience, but Courtney, the manager at the Belton, MO location and her staff were absolutely AMAZING!!! Our server Max was very kind, engaging and attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was busy, but very pleasant. It felt very welcoming as though I was having dinner at a friend's home. Our meal was exceptional and delicious, the way we remembered Longhorn. Only one mistake was made, but it was a pleasant one. We were so pleased with this experience that our faith in this franchise, at least the location in Belton, MO, has been restored! read more

Second time at this particular location, both times my medium rare steak came out burnt and rare, the broccoli was quite good though. Staff were reasonably nice and polite no complaints there, standard ambience for a mid tier type steak house. Overall I'd say it's overpriced for what you get especially considering they aren't able to cook a steak properly which is the reason for the 2 stars. read more

Family of four. I received an inedible steak. Covered with a literal quarter of an inch of black pepper. The manager told me that's just how they season them and I ordered it wrong. I should've ordered light seasoning. I was just here a week before and didn't have that issue. I've been going to this steakhouse since they opened and never had this issue. Nor have I ever been told that an inedible steak was my fault as a customer. Wth? This is KC. We know steak! Who does that? Wife's steak was tough as nails and the gravy was completely separated. Though the manager never mentioned anything about it when he saw it sitting untouched still sitting on the plate at the end of the meal. This is a small complaint but it needs to be stated; we had two 12 inch stacks of plates sitting on the end of our table for 25 minutes, They never got picked up by any of the staff including the manager who told me I ordered the steak wrong. This used to be a great steakhouse, but customer service is taking such a decline that I will personally avoid going here again. read more

Sunday lunch with my parents and two teenagers. Seated in a spacious booth, wonderful young lady served us and food was excellent. Unfortunately it was freezing cold ( AC) on ..... I get that the outdoor temperature changes from day-to-day although when I looked up from the booth to locate the air vent I noticed that EVERY ceiling air vent and 6 inch area around the vent was covered in black / gray dust! Maybe the GM needs to schedule a thorough nighttime HVAC duct cleaning by an HVAC company. If the air ducts are disgusting what does the kitchen look like? When was the fryer grease changed? Kitchen thoroughly cleaned or would a grease fire take care of the need to clean??‍ Food was good though :) read more

COVID Update! LongHorn is back to work allowing dine-in customers to enjoy their delicious food. Employees are wearing masks and menus are now paper. Some tables are marked off to allow for proper distancing between parties. We had cooked to perfection flo's filet and ribeye tonight and a pile of chicken tenders and fries for the kids. LongHorn seriously has the BEST chicken tenders in the world! My steamed broccoli and side salad was delicious. Quality has not changed! The server was friendly and respectful of social distancing, had the mask on during our visit. She also left us with a coupon for a free app/dessert for our next visit- thanks! read more

Food is fantastic. Steak (medium-rare & rare ordered) with redrock shrimp were prepared perfectly!! Kelsey was an amazing waitress and Met every need with positivity!!! Kelsey has wonderful communication skills. Kelsey, THANK YOU! We arrived around 10pm and the food was not rushed or over cooked and staff were just as welcoming as they are during earlier hours. My husband accidentally left his credit card and it was kept safe! Again, thank you...that could've been a major issue--great, honest people! We hadn't had a steak in awhile, so we ventured out to Longhorn around 5:30 on a Sunday evening. After seeing some of the online reviews, we didn't know what to expect. After about a 15 minute wait, we were seated and immediately greeted by our waiter. We had drinks and bread within 5 minutes of being seated. We both ordered 6 oz. fillets and baked potatoes. The baked potato was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the salted skin was perfectly crisp, and it was 'loaded' with toppings, so much it melted onto my plate. The fillet was delicious. My criteria for steak is taste and tenderness, and it exceeded both those criteria. Our waiter, Lucas, was very attentive and responsive. Maybe there's been a change in staffing lately, because everyone we engaged with were super nice - we had zero issues with service, and the food was delicious. it was a little chilly at the table, so dress accordingly when you go. read more

Be careful when ordering the Brussel sprouts. While they had good flavor the left the ends on which tasted like garden mulch. Manager said this is the way Corp told them to cook them n you had to special order to get the dry ends cut off. Was taken off our ticket but expected more from our $75 .00 dinner. read more

I think the most important food group is steak. Arriving is Kansas City tonight a friend took me out for dinner. We arrived at Longhorn around 7:30 on a Friday night. The restaurant was full with what they guessed there was a 30 minute wait. Surprisingly they sat us is in 10 minutes. The wait at the table was a little slow. Once our waitress arrived we were tag teamed throughout the meal and the service was top notch. I ordered a 12 once Prime Rib with Broccoli and a House Salad. The food was served hot and cooked perfect. Of note, the salad was made with Butter Lettuce and fresh crisp vegetables. The food was SOLID. Truly this quality could have been served at a much higher end place and been acceptable. A couple negatives that come with the territory of a busy restaurant operating on all cylinders. Parking is a hassle and the initial service was tough. I wish there was an option for four and a half stars. This restaurant is worth a visit. read more

I had the BEST experience at Longhorn Steakhouse on July 15, 2023. Our server, Victor, was super AAAMAZING. My husband celebrated his retirement there in Belton, MO location. He and 9 others of my family members totally enjoyed the hot food, drinks, and dessert and bragged how great Victor was. If I could rate Victor, I would give him a 10 out of 5 stars. read more

Our sister chose Longhorn for her birthday supper so off we went anticipating a fun, delicious night. From the beginning, everything was just wrong. Three of us ordered margaritas but for some reason one was strawberry instead of lime. The waitress disappeared after dropping our drinks but the nice bartender quickly fixed the mistake. Two of us ordered the sirloin and shrimp platter. The steak was very, very tough and it was nearly impossible to pull the shrimps off of their wooden skewers--not an easy meal to eat! Our waitress seemed friendly but rarely removed used plates off of our table and was often just missing even tho the restaurant wasn't very busy. When it was time to order dessert, she didn't seem interested in telling us all of the options. We mentioned a couple of times that we were celebrating a birthday but nothing special happened, not even a candle or "Happy Birthday" greeting. Sorry Longhorn, we won't be back. read more

I love this place! We usually sit at the bar and have pretty decent service. The food comes out hot and right every time. The drinks are good, just overpriced. But they have no control over that, so I cannot fault the restaurant. Their side salads have to be the best in the steakhouse business. That ranch is unbeatable! This was just simply garbage. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye and it wasn't cooked peoperly the first time. They re-cooked it and it was better, but after removing the bone and all of the fat, I got about a 10oz steak. The steak was a decent flavor but very bland. I really expected more out of the hugely advertised "Outlaw"! I also had blood soaked brocoli, which I didnt eat. The staff was very friendly and my bartender Emma was apologetic and did everything she could to fix the experience. I appreciate her. I am having difficulty sending this because the staff was so amazing and went out of there way to fix this. The manager Angel went above and beyond to correct the situation. It still happened and I still left unsatisfied, but very pleased with the service and because of that, I will give it another shot. read more

Look, no one goes to LongHorn to celebrate a wedding anniversary or make a magical prom night. If you DO go there for one of those reasons, you need to recalibrate your definition of "romantic night out" immediately. That's not why LongHorn exists You go there for a nice mid-range meal a step above Applebee's or Chili's, prepared well and served by competent staff. First, the food. It's pretty good. Sides are generous and entrees well executed. Beware the Cowboy Pork Chop which apparently has no sauce or even seasoning and thus is pretty dry. Make sure you ask for something on it or you'll be pounding your generously-sized fountain drink and hacking out a request for a refill. Steaks are pretty good...thick and cooked by people who understand what Medium Rare means. The service. Well, the Belton LongHorn has service that makes it stand out in a big way. And the service in this case goes by Allison. Allison is fantastic. Smart, funny, and ATTENTIVE. Refills appear as if Santa delivered them. She knows the menu top to bottom and can make special dishes (within reason) happen without any issue. She's also fluent in Polish, Elvish, Klingon, and knows a little Spanish as well. What I'm saying is that Allison is a terrific server and a great asset to this location. So there it is in a nutshell. Will eating at the LongHorn in Belton change your life? Well, if you haven't eaten in a day, it'll change your life in a good way because you'll be full. If you don't chew your steak properly and choke to death, it'll change your life in a bad way by ending it. But make sure you ask to be seated in Allison's section. I have been to numerous Long Horn Steakhouses in several different states including New Jersey, Kansas, Ohio. This one offers the worst meat quality. I have ordered Flo's filet twice and the first time I got "Lucky's filet", which was not the filet but some other cut. However, the manager tried to convince me that it was the same as Flo's filet. The second time I ordered Flo's filet, I again got the meat cut that was not a filet. Not coming to Belton's LongHorn ever again. read more

Don't go here for a filet!! They push off some cheap cut of beef as a filet. They tried to say the size depends on the way it's cooked. That's bull never had a filet tough as shoe leather and as thin round steak. Had well done filet and the thickness never shrank to a half inch cut. Food and service was excellent this past weekend. I had 8 oz Flo's Filet and husband had the thick Delmonico steak both were perfectly cooked. I tried the new fall spaghetti squash. It was yummy. Great service, Great Food! We ate here last night. We were originally at a place real close to this longhorns for dinner. A.B. I won't say the name because I don't give negative reviews. I only like to compliment my favorite places. But we were at the AB and we sat for 15 minutes without a hello from the server, a drink order, Nothing. It felt like we were being ingnorned. So we got up and left the other place and went to longhorns. Wow what a change in service. A "hi, how you doing" at the door and prompt water and our waitress at our table in less than 20 seconds.
