Love this new BBQ spot in Belton, MO! Just 5m from my house. We ordered the 3 meat/side entree and it was a great way to try everything. Meat was delicious - especially the smoked turkey! They have a variety of sauces (don't sleep on their take on a Carolina sauce). Our server was super sweet and helpful. The building is lovely and cozy with a rustic atmosphere. Wow just wow. Learned that the owners are from Oregon and the moves here to Belton to start this awesome restaurant. Started off with great staff. The assistant manager was our waitress and she was very informative and great attitude. She had great recommendations and said that they make all their sauces from scratch, their fry seasoning and take pride in their scratch kitchen. This was a huge win for us because our family doesn't eat processed food. Their fries are also fried in beef tallow! We rode the s the pork, biscuit, Mac n cheese beans and fries. Wow. I'd say this is a huge contender to Joes KC and slaps. The staff is very friendly and the place was very clean. All the TV's work which is a perk. If you have been here go check them out! Service was swift and friendly. The food was delicious. My wife and I shared the three meat/sides platter. The meat we chose did NOT disappoint. The beef burnt ends were top notch! The smoked turkey was perfectly seasoned and the brisket nice and smoky! The sides complemented the platter. The beans are a must-try, with smoky bits of brisket! Man oh man! We are from Seattle and this was our first stop after our flight. First time here visiting my dad (who is born and raised here). BEST BBQ IVE EVER HAD. I've seen The Ranch KC float around on social media a bit for the Raymore/Belton area I live in but never went. However, recently I made it a decision to try the restaurant as last time I was at this location it was a Mexican restaurant. The inside of this restaurant is amazing with an open space, tasteful decorations, and clean. The server we had was very polite, and while I didn't have questions about the menu, I heard him speaking with other customers about the differences between the meats they offered. The menu-while not terribly huge-offered a nice selection of menu items and was a full page. For my first time I ordered the house salad with ranch, and a 1/2 slab of the smoked ribs with the cheesy corn as a side. The salad (for what it was) was great as they serve the type of ranch I love. The ribs were amazing, and I had plenty. I wasn't too fond of the cheesy corn-but I've never had it before anywhere else so may not have been fond of it anyway. My mother went with me and had the beef brisket, along with sweet potato fries. She REALLY liked the sweet potato fries and made the comment they had full flavor. Both dishes came with two triangles of bread, and somehow even the plain bread they served with it was fantastic. I do hope you all try out this place and spread the word if you enjoy it. It's a nice option for the area to have and my mother made the comment that it rivaled Jack Stack. read more

This place is nicely decorated in a cowboy theme. It's a large place with a large patio. We were greeted with a smile and the service was great! You get yummy complimentary cornbread and cinnamon butter to start off. I had the brisket sandwich and it was large and great. The cheesy corn and fries were very good sides. They are easy to find right off the highway. You should definitely eat here. read more

A restaurant that isn't good all the time isn't worth going back to. We went at their opening on an evening and the food was excellent. My husband ordered brisket and slaw; I ordered a pulled-pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Everything was very good except we didn't care for the sweet corn muffin. Bragging, we took our mom to eat there at the lunch hour a week later. There weren't many people, almost empty. The menu was identical to the night menu so for the same price we got meat that was so dry (brisket and roast chicken) it was clearly yesterday's meat. The slaw overly creamy, nothing was the same. Am thrilled to have another option in the Belton, Raymore, Peculiar area. Had a couple of issues, nothing that wasn't resolvable considering they have just opened, and we go out a LOT. Three of us tonight, and in my opinion, the best brisket sandwich I have had in a long time. All in all, a good experience. Service was excellent. The food was really good. Most of our service was great!! However, a small error. Not all our food came out and we were promised delivery of the missing item in a few minutes. A table near us got the same item a few minutes later and we didn't. After that, no one checked on us until it was time for the check. Our server did provide the item to go.
