Came here with wife and in-laws for dinner. This was the first time I have eaten at this chain. To start the staff were busy but still friendly and attentive. They start with bread that to me was very similar to Outback. So if you like outback's you'll like this. I will say though that the butter here is amazing. Not sure what kind it is but it's good. I got the sirloin and shrimp and the wife got the filet. In-laws shard the chicken. Wife and in-laws got a salad as a side and it was fine. Typical side salad. I got the Mac and cheese and baked potato. I'll say they cooked the sirloin perfectly and it had great flavor. The shrimp came with a garlic butter to dip in so was like having scampi. Again shrimp was very good. The Mac and cheese had a great crust and flavor was decent. Potato was well a baked potato. The wife stated her filet was also cooked well and was tasty. In-laws also liked their chicken. We all were very satisfied with our meals. Also I did get there old fashioned and it was done right. With 1large ice cube and a luxardo cherry. There was some confusion at the beginning about who our server was supposed to be. Our table was wiped down with a towel that had a really sour, foul smell. Not only did the towel and table smell bad, but the entire restaurant had an unpleasant odor. That alone made it hard to settle in. While we were eating, we were also swatting away gnats, which made things worse. My friend found a hair in her Caesar salad. No one acknowledged it, and there was no apology. I ordered a dragonfruit lemonade, and the first one was perfect. The second one tasted different, almost carbonated. A very kind server offered to remake it, which I appreciated. The remake was better. When I tried to explain the difference to the manager, she said lemonade is "technically carbonated." It's not, and I left that conversation more confused than anything. The food itself was good, which is the only reason this isn't a one-star review. But overall, the cleanliness needs serious improvement. I'd recommend using fresh towels or napkins to clean tables, addressing the smell in the restaurant, and taking care of the gnat issue. A little more care would've made a big difference. read more

On a Thursday night you would think service would be adequate. Our waitress was great, but there must be a lack of managerial skills. On more than one occasion we have had cold food, overcooked food, and long waits for food/drinks to come out. Today was no different. When voicing concerns to manager he seems to just not care. There was the Cesar salad dressing plastic bag in our salad and when we said something they acted like it wasn't a big deal. If that was consumed someone could have choked which would have been a disaster. The manager didn't say anything to us after we pointed this out and just took our salads away. I prefer Outback, but I have had bad experiences at the Columbus location and according to the yelp reviews, they have not improved since I was last there, so I didn't want to take my chances again. So, we decided to try LongHorn again. We were seated right away, which was nice. I know that these days, sometimes even when there are tables available, you end up having to wait. I ordered the filet with a loaded baked potato. They were OUT OF BAKED POTATOES, so they offered me "loaded mashed potatoes" instead. Disappointing, but there wasn't a lot I could do. I ordered my steak medium. It came RARE. I sent it back, which I really hate doing. They brought it back, again, RARE. I sent it back, again. Next (THIRD) time a manager-type person brought out a new steak and waited until I cut into it to make sure it was medium and not rare. It was, but by this time, my husband had been finished eating for about 10 minutes, and I had been waiting for so long for my steak, I was getting impatient and annoyed, and I wasn't happy about the steak or not getting the baked potato. I don't plan on returning to this location. I'll go back to the Macon Road location, or even Texas Roadhouse first. Ugh! SO disappointed in LongHorn and wish they could have done better. This establishment is racist and classless. My Aunt arrived and put us on the waiting list. So when I went to follow up with the reservation, some skinny red-headed manager (didn't get her name because her staff is protecting her) got an attitude and said "we texted you 20 mins ago." First off, you did not text me; you texted the number that was on reservation BUT YOU DID NOT TEXT ME. I then asked to be put back on the waiting list and a young Hispanic woman did & was told that we'd have another 25 minute wait. So after looking at my Aunt's phone I saw that she never received a text. So about 15 mins later I walk back up the front to check on our reservation. I no longer had one. My name had been taken off. Another manager then explained that the staff was new and that mistakes kept happening. However, OTHER WHITE FAMILIES WERE BEING SEATED WITH NO ISSUES. In fact, the red-headed skinny white girl manager said she took our name off to help "bump our reservation up"...girl please...you underpaid-uneducated ignorant fool. In fact, another black family were having issues with being seated. So of course, I made an issue with it and we were seated immediately. Then we spoke to the manager, Carson. This is the first time I've been to this Longhorn Steakhouse. We went shortly after opening around 11:30, there was two other tables in the whole restaurant. The waiter was great, but it felt super slow for there only being 3 tables. We didn't get our bread until after we got our entrees (and I had to ask for the bread) which was about 30-40 minutes after we ordered. To me that is a long time to wait for not many people in the restaurant. When we finally got our food, both of our burgers were burnt (I requested mine well done, so to me it wasn't a big deal. My husband wanted medium well and he chopped off half his burger to get rid of the burnt part). I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. This will be the last time I visit Longhorn. We were treated so rudely here. When we came in we were told 45 minute wait. The greeter was not nice at all. That's fine for the wait, but we weren't told we had to wait outside until AFTER we walked over to the bar area. Then they came up and said YOU CANT WAIT HERE although there were multiple people at the bar. If someone had said it nicely we would have understood. Such rudeness is unacceptable. I went to this restaurant a couple of days ago and I was waited by Carson and she was EXTREMELY RUDE. She came to check on me and my family a total of three times. Once to ask us our food and drink,Once to deliver our food to the table and once to give us our Check and have us pay. Someone else delivered our drinks to us and they were actually very nice. My family had questions about the menu and when they were asking their questions Carson had this rude tone towards them and she even rolled her eyes a couple of times. We didn't say anything about her attitude to her but she just came off as aggravated and annoyed by us when we were nothing but respectful towards her. When we got our food me and my sons plates had black smudges on the sides of the plate we were going to ask Carson about The smudges on the plates but we didn't even bother because we had already waited well over an hour for our food. When Carson came back with our check she looked directly at the black smudges at the plates (none of our food was black by the way) she didn't ask where the black smudges Came from she just picked up our plates and left. I'm convinced that this facility does not wash their dishes and they will only Hire people with attitude. I have never received such poor customer service from a restaurant if you want poor service and dirty place I'd recommend this place. If you want amazing service and clean plates don't waste your money at this shithole just go to Outback I've never had a black smudge on my plate ever at Outback and the servers are always nice. It's rare to visit a steak house and get an absolutely mouth watering juicy perfectly cooked steak, but I am telling you this location has that for sure! The chef Danny knows what he is doing and has an art for this! Prices are reasonable for two adults who also ordered adult beverages our total was less than $65.00. We started out with hand battered portobello mushrooms and white cheddar and bacon dip with crunchy pita bread. Holy moly they were wonderful separately. But together, was an amazing taste experience. Walter also had the strawberry pecan salad; we thought it would be a small side. We were wrong! The dressing was soooo light and yummy we had to find out what kind. Turns out it was a raspberry vinaigrette; it's like nothing we ever tasted before. Walter had the half rack of baby back ribs.
