We were greeted upon entry, and able to place a takeout order right away. The food came out fairly quickly and everything was accounted for. I had a few sides and my partner ate a steak salad. He said the steak was cooked "perfectly" (medium). There's a partial picture to view.

The portions were much bigger than I expected. They are very generous for the price you pay. Everything tasted very good

We went here for my husband's birthday. It was a rainy evening and it was close by! My high school son was joining us and he was exhausted from school and volleyball team practice (they made it to District championships!). We were able to get seated right away (we did join the waitlist but fortunately there wasn't a wait!). We sat at a booth (which we wanted). We all ordered burgers ( couple with bacon and one without a bun. The grilled asparagus was excellent; the burger without the bun which had the lettuce-well, the lettuce looked as if it had wilted and stayed brown and was about to be thrown out! I had to send that back and get new lettuce. I also had to ask for mustard a few times. I upgraded for a salad (didn't want the fries). I was surprised that we had to ask for water a few times which was surprising. We were using a gift card (that got a little complicated since it was from Snappy and I had to get the email code for the waitress (Maddie) to use it! We finally were able to get it and all was good. I did say that it was my hubby's birthday so she did bring him a complimentary ice cream sundae which was very nice!

Longhorns is good for what it is. The service was friendly, but they did get our sides wrong and it took a little bit to correct. It's cheap and cheerful as the saying goes. They recommend getting your steak without their handmade seasoning and instead requesting salt. That's what I did this time and it was much better than in the past. The ambience feels cold. From the lighting to colors on the wall, even inside, it was quite chilly. Bring a jacket. They go hard on the American cowboy theme, which I guess could be fun if you're visiting from another country, but it would be nice if they used more. Authentic items that were more true to the theme

There are three steakhouse chains, Longhorn, Outback and Texas Roadhouse. Having been to all three, this one definitely takes last place. Service is extremely slow, there is zero atmosphere, unlike the other steakhouses, the bread, salad and appetizers are frankly not as good here. The steak was good and so was the dessert. But all in all, this place just doesn't measure up to Outback or Roadhouse. Not to mention, there are zero reward programs at this place, unlike the other steakhouses. In a three horse race, this place definitely finishes last.

Best steak value for the price. Onions appetizer a favorite. Low turnover on severs and they try to make you happy.

Great ambiance and you get what you expect steaks. Not top of the line but decent. Their specialty salads are excellent. Would repeat.

The lemon garlic chicken was off the charts. . Service fine. No issues. Went super early for either late lunch or early bird. Enjoyed it.

The espresso martini was good as was the Point Break, with tequila and guava juice, very nice, very tropical. Avalon Beach House used to be Avalon Steak & Seafood House. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.

The hostess greeted us and sat us immediately. My mom and I started with the Firecracker Shrimp, big pieces of shrimp breaded and layered with a sweet chili sauce. Very good. The pickled cucumbers in the middle was refreshing. For entree, I had the short rib grilled cheese and it was delightful. Tender meat filling with caramelized onions and melted cheese. Dipped in the beef au jus, it was so rich and flavorful. We both opted for sweet potato fries as the side and it was fresh, homemade and not greasy at all. My mom's lobster roll was also great, not over dressed and the bun was soft and fluffy, not over buttered. Will definitely come back again to try more.

Unfortunately, I can't speak highly of the food. The highly rated General Tao's Cauliflower is just something deep-fried and covered in sticky sweet sauce. There's no cauliflower flavor to it at all. My short ribs were flavorful, but the risotto on which it sat was undercooked. Yes, risotto can be challenging, but at this price point, I expect a high level of execution. My wife's roasted vegetable bowl was lacking in flavor - I've had better bowls at Fresh Kitchen. In short, our expectations of the food were high, but our experience was sub-par.

Their was a lively group of people at the bar, we got the last couple spots that were open. The very friendly bartender, who smiling might of been his favorite thing, was quick with the menus. We had just come from dinner so we focused on the drink menu. My gal got a nice red. They served it in a wonderfully different wide orb of a glass. The cocktail menu felt purposefully sparse. Third down just said it was their margarita. I made the call, and it was a good call. their margarita was on point, solid. It's a smaller place. It actually is 2 small places connected, with a larger dinning room next door. I did spot a piano in the back. I think we will plan a dinner sometime back when there might be some tunes.

We got there early for our reservation, but it was a busy night and the inside table I had already requested and reserved was given away so we had to sit outside. We asked about seating in the bar but we were told it was booked by a private party. (No one for this party showed up from 7:30-9:30 and the bar was as empty when we left as when we arrived.) They did have portable heaters outside so it wasn't too cold, but again, not what I requested or reserved. Our server was friendly and greeted us immediately, explaining the nightly special. We started with the Hamachi appetizer, a fun mix of yellowtail with passionfruit and gochujang. Everything about it was delicious but the yellowtail tasted much fishier than we've had elsewhere. Then the waiting game started. After waiting nearly 40 minutes our server brought the appetizer again so we had to assume he'd put a hold on our order and forgotten it. I went in to ask a few minutes later and our food was just now being staged. I don't mine if things happen, it's life, but tell us up front, say "whoops" and we will move on... Our dinner finally came out and it was really good! - The lovely Spensyr had the Table Wedge Salad, an interesting mix of Bibb lettuce, pork belly, and Tahini ranch, with a sun dried tomato compote. - I had the hangar steak with crispy fried potato and sautéed veg. It was delicious. Because of the earlier wait and mix up, we were offered complimentary desserts. Spensyr got their Key Lime pie and loved it, I got their white chocolate passionfruit cake dome thing and we each thought ours was better. * All in all it was a mixed bag. Apart from the overly fishy appetizer, all our food was delicious. The service was great, except for when they forgot us. The restaurant was comfortable and pleasant other than being kept outside in the cold with an entire empty bar.
