There are three steakhouse chains, Longhorn, Outback and Texas Roadhouse. Having been to all three, this one definitely takes last place. Service is extremely slow, there is zero atmosphere, unlike the other steakhouses, the bread, salad and appetizers are frankly not as good here. The steak was good and so was the dessert. But all in all, this place just doesn't measure up to Outback or Roadhouse. Not to mention, there are zero reward programs at this place, unlike the other steakhouses. Although this restaurant was very clean and the service was mannerly. At the time of our arrival, the dinner shift had just begun. My father and I ordered identical meals of ribeye steak, French onion soup and salad along with a baked potato. while we were just finishing our salads, the soup was brought out and then within 30 seconds of that, the entrées were brought out onto the table with one of the servers saying, "oops, awkward," and then leaving the food on our table without any further question, (like asking if we wanted it to be kept warm and then brought out) . Clearly our server did not consider timing when entering the order into the computer for the kitchen to prepare. In regard to the food, both the menu and our server did not properly explain the ribeye steak as being completely boneless. What's more, the steaks that were served lacked flavor and seasoning, requiring that they be salted and peppered just to make edible. read more

We went here for my husband's birthday. It was a rainy evening and it was close by! My high school son was joining us and he was exhausted from school and volleyball team practice (they made it to District championships!). We were able to get seated right away (we did join the waitlist but fortunately there wasn't a wait!). We sat at a booth (which we wanted). We all ordered burgers ( couple with bacon and one without a bun. The grilled asparagus was excellent; the burger without the bun which had the lettuce-well, the lettuce looked as if it had wilted and stayed brown and was about to be thrown out! I had to send that back and get new lettuce. I also had to ask for mustard a few times. I upgraded for a salad (didn't want the fries). I was surprised that we had to ask for water a few times which was surprising. We were using a gift card (that got a little complicated since it was from Snappy and I had to get the email code for the waitress (Maddie) to use it! We finally were able to get it and all was good. I stopped at Longhorn on a Saturday and there was surprisingly no wait. The dining room is outdated, but it wasn't too loud. We ordered the firecracker chicken wraps, and while they were good, they tasted exactly like frozen burritos I ate as a child. For our entrees, we ordered the strawberry salad and the chicken tenders. The tenders were delicious. They were juicy and crunchy. The chicken on the salad was also cooked well and the lettuce was fresh. Service started really strong but ended up being horrible. The time between our appetizer and entree was too long. When it came time for the check, we sat for 20 minutes as our waitress was no where to be found. We had to flag someone else down to get boxes and we ended up paying using the QR code on the table. Longhorns is good for what it is. The service was friendly, but they did get our sides wrong and it took a little bit to correct. It's cheap and cheerful as the saying goes. They recommend getting your steak without their handmade seasoning and instead requesting salt. That's what I did this time and it was much better than in the past. The ambience feels cold. From the lighting to colors on the wall, even inside, it was quite chilly. Bring a jacket. They go hard on the American cowboy theme, which I guess could be fun if you're visiting from another country, but it would be nice if they used more. We decided to go to this LongHorn for my daughter's birthday, just looking for a decent place to eat -- unfortunately, the experience was pretty disappointing. Service was extremely slow, even though our server was friendly. It took almost two hours for five of us to finish our meal. The server explained that she was also handling a party of 40, but that didn't make things any easier. As for the food: the ribeye was about a 6/10, the filet maybe a 7.5/10 -- not terrible, but definitely below expectations for a place like this. On top of that, there was a sewer issue outside the restaurant that made the whole area smell awful, which really ruined the atmosphere. Overall, this visit felt like a one-star experience. I wouldn't recommend this location. You're better off spending a little more and going somewhere nicer in Boca. read more

This location always just falls short for me. We started with the parmesan crusted spinach dip which was pretty good, I'd get it again. The steak that I ordered came out very rare and looked like a scrap piece. It in no way looked like it was a 6oz steak before being grilled. When the steak came back after being cooked for a little longer it was tough and had a hard crust. We have not been to a Longhorn in quite a while. Mainly a logistical choice ie. we do not have one reasonably close. Today, we ordered the Outlaw ribeye a bone in steak. Went with a group of 25 people. Only had 1 waitress, but she did pretty well. Everyone got the correct order, and we were all given our food at approximately the same time, so pretty impressive. I did ask for a second beer (twice) and never got it. but ok. The food itself was good and plentiful. I started with a garden salad which was fresh and tasty. Nothing out of the ordinary but good. Then I got a full rack of baby back ribs. They were really nice and lean and meaty and tender. I like them a little saucier but there was sauce on the side so it was ok. Overall pretty good ribs. Good steakhouse restaurant! Vibe is country western inside and dress is casual. To eat, I order the NY strip cooked medium with a strawberry salad and the mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese is an up charge along with the salad but I think it's worth it. My girlfriend usually gets the Caesar salad and the loaded baked potato and she's a fan of both of these menu items. I order from here to go a lot. I usually get a salad and I enjoy it each time! So it's a viable option for ordering take out! The food, like any chain restaurant, is very salt heavy, so I recommend requesting light salt if you don't like too much. But the flavor of my filet was delicious. I couldn't eat my steamed veggies due to the amount of salt, but that's fine, because I really showed up for the steak. It was a decent cut and cooked exactly how I requested. The detail the stood out however was the staff. Our server, Lorka, was such a pleasure.
