We went here for my husband's birthday. It was a rainy evening and it was close by! My high school son was joining us and he was exhausted from school and volleyball team practice (they made it to District championships!). We were able to get seated right away (we did join the waitlist but fortunately there wasn't a wait!). We sat at a booth (which we wanted). We all ordered burgers ( couple with bacon and one without a bun. The grilled asparagus was excellent; the burger without the bun which had the lettuce-well, the lettuce looked as if it had wilted and stayed brown and was about to be thrown out! I had to send that back and get new lettuce. I also had to ask for mustard a few times. I upgraded for a salad (didn't want the fries). I was surprised that we had to ask for water a few times which was surprising. We were using a gift card (that got a little complicated since it was from Snappy and I had to get the email code for the waitress (Maddie) to use it! We finally were able to get it and all was good. I did say that it was my hubby's birthday so she did bring him a complimentary ice cream sundae which was very nice!

I stopped at Longhorn on a Saturday and there was surprisingly no wait. The dining room is outdated, but it wasn't too loud. We ordered the firecracker chicken wraps, and while they were good, they tasted exactly like frozen burritos I ate as a child. For our entrees, we ordered the strawberry salad and the chicken tenders. The tenders were delicious. They were juicy and crunchy. The chicken on the salad was also cooked well and the lettuce was fresh. Service started really strong but ended up being horrible. The time between our appetizer and entree was too long. When it came time for the check, we sat for 20 minutes as our waitress was no where to be found. We had to flag someone else down to get boxes and we ended up paying using the QR code on the table. The food was fine. Service just needs improvement.

Longhorns is good for what it is. The service was friendly, but they did get our sides wrong and it took a little bit to correct. It's cheap and cheerful as the saying goes. They recommend getting your steak without their handmade seasoning and instead requesting salt. That's what I did this time and it was much better than in the past. The ambience feels cold. From the lighting to colors on the wall, even inside, it was quite chilly. Bring a jacket. They go hard on the American cowboy theme, which I guess could be fun if you're visiting from another country, but it would be nice if they used more. Authentic items that were more true to the theme

The lemon garlic chicken was off the charts. . Service fine. No issues. Went super early for either late lunch or early bird. Enjoyed it.

Great ambiance and you get what you expect steaks. Not top of the line but decent. Their specialty salads are excellent. Would repeat.

So when…read moreI saw Chef Michael's video the other day announcing he was going to start offering Egg Rolls on Sundays, I immediately remembered wanting to try the BBQ Chinese Spareribs already on his regular menu. I started thinking... if the Chinese food at Flybird is anywhere near as impressive as everything else they do, this could be a revelation... especially considering the dearth of really good Chinese food in South Florida. So I waited for Sunday with anticipation. Yes... they had Egg Rolls! And I also noticed they recently added Egg Drop Soup to the regular menu. Perfect... now I could assemble a complete meal. In addition to the Egg Rolls, I ordered the Egg Drop Soup, BBQ Chinese Ribs, and Chicken Fried Rice. Wow! Winner Winner Chinese Dinner!! Everything was excellent. The Egg Drop Soup is rich and heartier than the versions you typically see... absolutely delicious. The Egg Roll is hand-rolled and feels like a gourmet interpretation... exactly what you'd expect if a serious chef decided to elevate a classic, served with housemade Duck Sauce and Chinese Mustard. The BBQ Ribs were also fantastic... fall-off-the-bone tender, meaty, and loaded with flavor. And then there's the Chicken Fried Rice... unlike any version you've probably had before. It's packed with generous chunks of chicken and real vegetables throughout. Broccoli in fried rice? When have you ever seen that? A huge portion too... loved it. Everything here always seems to be done with thought and care. We're lucky to have a serious chef like Michael bringing his culinary talent and creativity to Delray Beach. He keeps finding ways to surprise people... and that's a big part of what makes Flybird so much fun. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The char grilled chicken is moist and delicious with crispy skin, and accompanied by a whole head of roasted garlic, a grilled lemon, fresh beaked bread, and a parsley dipping sauce. I was seriously craving some BBQ so after consulting with the oracle of goodness ( also known as my Yelp app) we ventured out. It is a very small place that screams authentic the moment you walk in the door. No frills. Repeat, no frills. This isn't a date night place oozing with ambiance. I could smell the pit as we walked across the parking lot and my Pavlovian response kicked in. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, baked beans and hush puppies. I know what you're thinking, it's a lot of food but hey, don't judge me...LOL. I was amazed at the portion size. There was enough pulled pork to make three huge sandwiches. The brought out a roll in a zip lock sandwich bag and I promptly made and devoured some heavenly pork. So juicy, smoky and flavorful. The hush puppies were so good...crunchy brown on the outside, sweet and tender inside. I was popping these in my mouth and at frenetic and calorically unhealthy pace. They are delicious but moderation is advised. The baked beans were good but the mac and cheese was not on par with everything else. That's the only thing that didn't knock my socks off. My friend had the fried catfish. "Excellent" he exclaimed! Again, the portions were huge. He had fried okra and collard greens as his sides and he proclaimed them "the ultimate soul food" side dishes. The service was homey, polite and simple. Nothing fancy, just right. Needless to say it was more than we could eat and we got to-go containers to wrap up the rest for later. I only hope I can survive the oncoming food induced coma in time to rally for a big weekend. Highly recommended for serious "Q" lovers.
