It's been a long while since we've been at a Longhorn Steakhouse, and I'm really not sure why that is the case.  We really enjoyed our lunch with the kiddos and the value here is just great.  Besides that, the staff was friendly and welcoming, the place was clean, and I especially liked the extensive themed decor throughout the big restaurant and it reminded me of the 4 years that we lived in Houston. For lunch, the wife had their sirloin steak salad with a French onion soup ($11.99), I had their 1/2 lb swiss cheeseburger with a shrimp-lobster chowder ($10.99), older kiddo had their kid's American cheeseburger with a loaded baked potato and milk ($8.49), and the younger kiddo had their Kraft mac n cheese with a loaded baked potato and milk ($6.99). Any cheeseburger comes with a choice of American, swiss, or cheddar. We all enjoyed our meals.  I thought my tip-top delicious burger with the generous side was the best value burger for the price point out there bar none.  I was impressed and we shall return!  The only little knock with this outing, and it was no biggie, was the food took a little while to come out though it wasn't particularly busy.  We were given complimentary bread while we waited. We joked that maybe it was the mac n cheese order and that the presumed rarity of such order may have taken them by surprise IDK. read more

When I arrived, the place was just like every other longhorn. Which is good because it's consistently clean and smells like delicious steak. I was gonna sit at the bar, but the hockey game was over so I went back to the counter and got fast service for a booth. I had outlaw ribeye, which was delicious as you always expected to be and was actually cooked perfect unlike usual where it's very slightly overdone. Went there yesterday, I ordered the Wild West shrimp and baked potato and they tried to pass off the shrimp that was previously cooked and just put back in the grease and serve it to me. We went in on a Tuesday last week for my birthday countdown two hours before closing and it was an good experience. Bill was about $55 for both meals. Food was extremely hot and service was fast, it was barely anyone inside. It was a quick walk over from Fairfield INN. Was seated right away, but waited a little long for a server to take our drink and food order. He was nice and apologized for the delay. We ordered the renegade sirloin and grilled shrimp combo. In my opinion, the absolute best item on the menu is the bone in ribeye! The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly to my liking (medium), while the fries added a great hint of sweetness to the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and it is always a great meal. Their bread service is also unlimited and super tasty! No need to order too many appetizers here because the bread is filling and the food comes out fast. I'm staying at the Hilton Hotel at OHare airport. I wanted something quick to eat and thankfully Longhorn wasn't too far away. Maybe a 15 min drive. I paid for my food with my Visa debit card. I left it by mistake. I noticed a couple of days later. Called it was there. In the meantime I noticed someone paid their Sam's club renewal with my card. I called Sam's thinking it was their mistake, nope there was no new payment to my account. I locked my card when I found out it was missing. Too late it was used. The only place my card had been is at Long Horn. I went to pick up my card they asked to see my ID. I took it out and showed it to the hostess she wanted to take it to the managers office. I told her to have him to come up front to look at it. He came gave me my card. I called my bank and told them about the Sam's club payment. They said they would do an investigation. We ordered here for Father's Day, I think, and ordered for carry out. I was surprised how well it traveled--everything was actually quite good when we got it home. The staff member brought it out as a curbside order and that was hugely appreciated (I hate how many places have stopped offering this now). First time eating at this location. It was supposed to take 30 minutes to wait to be seated but only took 15 minutes. The environment was busy, a lot of people walking around and eating. It was my first time trying this place. It was a cold day in Chicago and as soon as we walked in the place felt like we walked into a warm cabin. The hosts were nice, nothing extraordinary but nice. Our server however, was very friendly and checked in on us numerous times offering refills and suggestions. They have great lunch specials options for food as well as drinks. I had their Texas margarita which was strong and tasted good for the $6.49 price. I had Renegade Sirloin with garlicky mashed potatoes. The meat was cooked perfectly and it was great quality. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and full of flavor. My fiancé ordered the parmesan crusted grilled chicken with the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese. I rarely give a chain five stars but for this visit I have to. We arrived late in the evening on a weekday to celebrate my fiance's birthday after spending the day visiting a family member in the hospital. The staff was great and the waiter went above and beyond for us. The drinks were nice and strong and they offered good prices on Jack and Coke and house margaritas. Menu prices are pretty good for a steakhouse too. The loaf of bread they brought to the table was pretty good and the salad had a very tasty vinaigrette. I ordered the steak and shrimp. Both were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Too many places ruin seafood with a bunch of sauces and over-seasoning in my opinion. Even the mashed potatoes and rice were good. Her steak was tasty as well, and her baked potato was huge. She really loved the big hunk of "THE Cheesecake" with all of the caramel sauce dripping from it. It was a great place to celebrate. We just happened to be staying at the Wyndham after a flight delay. This restaurant is right next door to the hotel. It was convenient because they also accept airline food vouchers. Our server actually made a funny joke about that which lightened the mood. Apparently, they are accustomed to receiving them. We didn't have much of an appetite. In fact, the night before we actually skipped dinner altogether. Fortunately, they had a smaller 6 oz Flo's filet on the menu. It was cooked perfectly. The crispy brussels sprouts with the smoky honey butter was quite tasty. It's a very good savory & sweet signature side option. The side salad was cool & fresh. We never really liked Longhorn Steakhouse in the past. I think mainly because of the original side item choices, and the dim lighting. The atmosphere at this location isn't the greatest, but I appreciated the signature side offerings. Let's just say that the crispy brussels sprouts renewed my interest in this restaurant chain. Management and staff at the Rosemont location really need to get their act together. There are a few great servers here but there are equally not so great servers. The tension among some of the staff is so thick you can cut it with a knife. It's unfortunate and unsettling when you're trying to enjoy a meal with friends or family and you have servers carrying on and making a scene. read more

My husband and I had a date night last night and we chose Longhorn because he wanted a Porterhouse Steak! Let me tell you that Jordan our waiter was exceptional and even the Manager on duty came by our table and greeted us and I thought that was really nice! Our food was very delicious! We planned wisely for a fun New Year's Eve. Stayed at the Wyndham next door for 2 nights, walked to Allstate Arena for a show, and dinner at Longhorn. Longhorn did not take reservations but told me I could call up to 30 minutes in advance to get on their wait list. We even went for appetizers and drinks the night before to verify this with the hostess. On NYE when I called to get on the wait list at 5:30 I was told they would not do that. We decided that we would go and put our names in if it was an hour wait or less. It was a 50-60 minute wait. We discussed and agreed to wait. An hour later we still had not gotten our text so approached the hostess stand where we were told it would be 45 more minutes!! We discussed and decided to walk over to Chili's. The hostess snarkily stated, we should go ahead and go. So disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. read more

We were going to the Allstate Arena for a concert (May 3, 2023 SUGA) and, since we were early, decided to stop and get a bite to eat. This Longhorn Steakhouse has the prime spot near the Arena for a meal before any concert. After you eat you just drive down the street a block or two and you are at the Arena, and even on the correct side of the street. Couldn't be slicker. But I digress. For the restaurant we thought they had 4 star food, but only 2 star waitstaff. Maybe it was because they were busy, but we thought it was more of a management problem since our waiter also had to run the bar. As such, both areas got poor service. For appetizers ... we started with drinks (3 star good and nothing out of the ordinary - although the peach sangria seemed a winner) and a Tonion (their version of the famous "Bloomin Onion" at Outback). I must admit their Tonion was 5 star good and I would get another one next time. Very good appetizer to go with drinks. For mains ... two of us had the 6 ounce filet with a baked potato - and they were 4 star excellent. Nice tender meat and a nicely done spud. They also came with small salads that were 3 star suitable, nothing special but a nice addition. Another at our table had the chicken fingers and they were 4 star good also. Nice dining room, good ambiance, clean place. So overall the food was 4 star stuff. As noted our waiter was bogged down with waiting tables and running the bar so he never had a chance at success. If they fix the waitstaff issue, this place rises. We'll be back. read more

My Sri Lankan fiancé was hassled by customs at O'Hare forcing her to miss her connecting flight that night, so we had to drive three hours to pick her up and by that time everyone was famished. Coming from a country that does not market good cuts of beef, the first thing she wanted was a nice thick steak, and boy did the staff here deliver! We each had ribeye steak while our daughter had the chicken wrap appetizer. Both steaks were cooked to perfection with wonderful sides. It was so good we did not have time to take photos! Wings, stake, ribs, mashed potatoes and a salad in a combination with coke and beer don't sound healthy but - we gave ourselves a little break :-). We will come back over and over again. We were at the Rosemont Longhorn tonight 6/28/2025 and had a very bad experience with my wife's steak. I cannot commend our waitress Taylor enough. She worked very hard to rectify the fact that my wife ordered a Medium WELL filet mignon and receive a very rare steak. We sent the steak back and the Manager Toni (Female) brought the steak back to our table. When my wife cut into the steak, it was still rare. The manager told my wife that this was a medium well steak (see pics below). Is he/she insane? She removed $2.63 from our bill and my wife left without even eating a steak we paid for! I will never be back to this longhorn again. Management is a serious problem, while the waiting staff is top notch. Tell me if the pics below are medium well after being sent back in your opinion. I guess the Manager is blind. I paid the bill and left extremely dissatisfied. I won't be back and I will let others know how ridiculously blind the manager is at those locations. Wait isn't long but service is kind of slow here during lunch hours. Take out usually takes 20 minutes but it's nice to get out of the office to eat in the restaurant once in a while. The food here is great. From the 7 pepper steak salad to the lobster soup, lamb chops, the salmon, and filet mignon. Will definitely come here to eat during lunch hours. read more
