We came to Longhorn for lunch today. Upon entering the restaurant, it's very pleasant. There was a nice Christmas tree in the lobby. We were greeted promptly and seated promptly. We were then brought fresh bread and our drinks. The bread was so darn good! My husband ordered a cheeseburger and french fries I got a strawberry salad with chicken and french fries. Their french fries are so yummy. Their prices are reasonable. My beautiful strawberry salad with the chicken breast was only $17 and change. The service is always good here. They must treat their employees well because I've been coming here for over a year and I see the same wonderful servers. There's something special about knowing your server. A server makes a big difference in any evening. It's important to note that servers in Texas live off of their tips, so please tip well. The music playing throughout the restaurant is just the right volume, one can enjoy the music and not have to talk louder to hear each other. The food was really good, it always is here. Doesn't matter what I order, The food is always so good. This place gets busy at night and they don't take reservations, however, one can go onto their website and check in-It'll then tell you how long you have to be seated and when you show up, you just say I'm checked in and you're seated promptly. It's a really good system; It works well. I've used it several times. They have a very inviting candy bowl that my husband always dips his hand into as we leave. They have a generous wine list. I love this place. I'm four-starring SOLELY because I have only experienced take out, not sit-down. As a lifelong, steak-eating Texan, this steakhouse gets the thumbs up wholeheartedly! Last minute stop for an early dinner. We were seated immediately and waiter appeared quickly to take our order. Started with Chicken Tortilla soup which was spicy and very tasty. My partner had a Caesar salad which was very good. Filet for me with street corn side. Both were excellent. My partner had The Longhorn - a porterhouse and the street corn. I'm glad I've had a few chances to revisit the Longhorn over the past few months. I've found that they have a very reasonable and tasty lunch menu! I've tried the chicken sandwich (grilled for me, not fried), 7 pepper steak salad, and the cheeseburger. All were very well prepared and delicious! You get the main entree and a side, and all items on the lunch special are under $15. Service was good, and the vibe is always friendly! Normally the food is great and the service is too but definitely not yesterday. The Brussel sprouts came out lukewarm so I told our server who responded by saying "I'll get you some fresh ones." That clearly did not happen. They tasted like they were reheated in the microwave. They were at this point completely overcooked and ruined. Also service was very slow. Went here on a Saturday, around 6pm, must've just beat the rush because I sat down almost immediately, received exceptional service I wish I could remember my waitresses name to give her credit but it's been over a week and I'm just coming around to letting everyone know they were super fast! I mean our appetizers came out so fast, our steaks came out so fast we must've been there no longer than 30-45 minutes total. We got in and got out not to mention the quality of the food was great, what we got that isn't pictured was a New York strip with Parmesan crusted cheese on top and THAT was cooked beautifully. Our server, as Esmeralda, was friendly and attentive to our every need. I ordered a ribeye, which came with a side and a salad. I opted in for the loaded baked potato in a Caesar salad. The complementary bread and butter came out quickly, later followed by the Caesar salad. Both were satisfactory. Once my ribeye and loaded baked potato arrived, I was amazed by the large size of the steak. It was so intensely juicy and flavorful. The loaded baked potato had the perfect amount of toppings. Only negative thing that I have to say about this place is that there was some grime left on my knife and fork before I used it. I will definitely becoming back whenever I am craving steak! Came here one night after work not knowing what I wanted to eat. Longhorn is always one of the go to places since it closes later than most places in Gtown. The night before the eclipse and I thought it would have been jam packed, but there was plenty of seating and we were sat down almost immediately. The very pleasant waiter brought us water and their delicious hot bread. My table ordered the LH hamburger and the Chicken Parm. The hamburger is just what the doctor ordered. It was cooked perfectly! And looked fantastic. The flavor was really beefy but still juicy and the bun and other condiments tasted great. The fries were good, crispy and plentiful! Not sure why the overall rating here is 3 stars. We love Longhorn. They do a great job with consistency and service. My favorites are the Flo's Filet, broccoli extra steamed on the side, and a Strawberry & Pecan salad ( without the grapes and oranges, with added cucumber). I also love the Parmesan Crusted Chicken - definitely enough to split or have leftovers. Our steaks are always perfectly cooked and I'm a ranch dressing snob and they make theirs homemade. Despite living in Georgetown for years, my first visit to this location of LongHorn steakhouse was last night and it was a great experience. We were seated very quickly on a Saturday night and service was super quick and attentive. I had the Flo's filet with a loaded baked potato and everything was tasty and well-prepared. The steak was better than some of the area's more upscale steakhouses in my opinion. Ambiance is over the top Western and family friendly. Consistently on point and Consistently amazing food. Every steak, every time is cooked to perfection. Today I did ask for some horse radish, but not to mask but I just love horse radish. A little surf and turf on a Sunday always sits well. The drink prices are exceptional (not over priced) and always poured well. To start we arrived at 430 when the restaurant was fairly empty and we were placed at a booth near the entrance of the place where waiters were returning dirty dishes. This should be the place reserved for very late comers and when the restaurant is full. We ordered a rib eye and two chicken fried steaks we did not get the gravy and had to ask twice. We expected that this is an automatic service and so should be the bread. The waitress flew by and dumped the bread on the corner of the table and would have fallen off the edge. The entire experience was spoiled by the entire staff and reflects poorly on the manager and the staff who have no idea of how to run a restaurant read more

Longhorn was decent, but had a couple of issues. #1 We reserved a table online, and were notified that we were next, but they had no knowledge of us when we arrived. To their credit, they got us seated within about 10 minutes. #2 our waitress never cleared a single dish from our table on her own accord. By the time our desert came out, we were stacking dishes and had to ask her to take them. Other than that, the food was alright. My NY strip was definitely undercooked. Salad was good and the potato was okay. I will say that the chocolate stampede dessert is great and the kids cheeseburger with broccoli was better than my steak. I went to this restaurant with my brother, we were looking for an early dinner... And he had a craving for steak. We came about four ... so early. And Service is really slow.. but it was probably between shifts. However, the food was excellent. My brother got a ribeye with a big potato, I got the New York strip with brussels sprouts... Both steaks worst cooks perfectly and had an amazing crust on the outside. So tasty. For the appetizer, we got the western shrimp and it was super super yummy... I love the fact that the shrimp was lightly breaded and paired perfectly with the peppers that were served with it. The white cheddar mushrooms were incredible. We received our salads shortly after the appetizer so we did not even finish the mushrooms yet. Then before we could even start our salads the steaks arrived. Very poor kitchen management. I ordered my usual ribeye medium rare. When I saw it plated I knew I was not going to be happy. There was no marbling in the steak. Looked like a sirloin. Too much tendon (gristle) as well. The restaurant has apparently lowered their grade of meat to "select" which is about as cheap and bad as it gets. Longhorn lost a long term customer that night. My daughter and her boyfriend took Mrs. Texas here this evening for Mother's Day. I tagged along as well after they insisted !! LOL !! The wait time was more than an hour but they called one hour ahead so we waited about ten minutes after arriving. The service was spot on and everyone enjoyed their food. My steak was a little tough and a little dry but it was fairly good. I couldn't touch the fries but my granddaughter ate several of them !! LOL !! I ate a little bit of the salad which was good.
