Oh man. Came here with a party of 8 which was our first mistake. Parties of 2 or 3 were sat right away. Another large party came before us so we really had a long wait. I checked in after waiting about 20 minutes, and after we were seated I looked at my check in: 2 hours ago. Yikes. Anyways, the server: a sweetheart. Jeez. Just pretty and sweet but taking all the heat. There were other tables that weren't happy. I felt bad for her because it really was a collective effort that the wait was so long and the food took forever to come out. There were only 2 people in the place hustling around, it seemed. They ran out of bread before we arrived so we didn't get any. We were starving, to say the least. I ordered the strip loin cooked medium with a baked potato and Caesar salad. The salad had a ton of dressing on it. You could drown in it. I ate it anyways...haha I was hungry. My steak, and my friends steak both came out well done. I assume it's because it sat under the hot lamps too long. He decided to use A1 to eat it, I decided to send it back because I don't like A1. Unfortunately, it took a very long time for my food to come back. Everyone was done eating and my food just arrived. One person had to leave because they live in Richmond, so I sat eating, with everyone waiting on me to leave. Awful lol. You just had to laugh...because what's the point in being pissed off? We definitely should've went somewhere else. I don't think we'll be back to this location. It left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Lovely server though, she gets 5 stars. Me and my family visited this restaurant for my son's 11th birthday and had a poor experience. Me and my husbands steaks took forever, were incorrectly cooked and the sides were cold. My kids food didn't come out until 20 minutes after me and my husbands which made the experience awful. After the visit I contacted longhorn's customer service representative who just asked me to prove that I ate there and didn't seem to care at all about our bad experience. After telling me a manager from the store would contact me about the experience, which never happened, I received an email which seemed condescending and careless, and didn't resolve anything. I've since emailed back asking why I was never contacted by a manager and have gotten no response. If you don't want to have a bad experience and want your food cooked the way you ask for it to be cooked, then DO NOT visit this Hampton, VA location. Underperformed - steak had to be sent back twice to get it right. First time it came out it wasn't even hot, and was undercooked. It was a ribeye, and was not a great quality of meat. The manager did take care of getting it right, and did try to rectify things by bringing a free order of fries and covering the steak. I do really like their chicken, but for steak, which is their namesake, they fall short. read more

So we had this today and was very disappointed. I asked for a 8 oz sirloin cooked medium and unfortunately the steak was undercooked. I tried to eat it however after one bite I decided to send it back. Now I know heat is applied and it's safe but I was very disturbed that they put it back on the grill and cooked it. They then served the same steak which I am not used to however I rarely send food back. The overall problem was the steak was small but almost round which I am sure makes it much more difficult to cook. That doesn't excuse a steakhouse that can't cook a medium steak or the fact that no management followed up after I sent it back. Maybe this is the new standard for restaurants but it certainly shouldn't be. read more

Due to Covid takeout is highly encouraged even though dining is open at a 50 percent capacity. The information changes daily, and sometimes I don't know what phase we are in, so the safest bet is just take out. The hubs and I placed an order online for curbside pickup. The website is easy to navigate, order, pay, and then receive an email confirmation for a pickup time. We ordered two longhouse burgers, fried pickles, and a cup of shrimp and lobster chowder. We parked at the designated curbside pickup, called to inform them that we arrived, and still waited an additional ten minutes before someone came out with the food. The longhouse burgers were dry and cold. I appreciated the cheese and bacon, but it was hard to revive. The fries tasted half raw to cooked and stayed limp once picked up. I felt the fried pickles had an overwhelming amount of salt in the batter. Maybe we ordered on a off day.. The shrimp and lobster chowder should just be called shrimp chowder. Where was the lobster, and why only fill it 3/4 of the way in an already small cup? I think the hubs and I will try out dining, and hope the experience will be different. read more

this was my first time trying this place. wanted to try something different with my boyfriend for our Valentine's Day date.. our waiter Brenda was doing her best, she was very sweet and welcoming but she was all over the place from table to table poor lady didn't know if she coming or going but I loved her energy. the dishes that came to the table for our appetizers were very dirty. drinking glasses and sliver ware was also dirty. The appetizers and food came to the table the same time. nothing had seasoning on it or to it. My Brussels sprouts are just now coming to the table as we are asking for Togo boxes. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the Mac and cheese and the wings. I asked for my chopped steak well down and it came to me very pink on the inside. This is a great place to get a healthy meal even if you don't eat steak. The seafood dishes are cooked well, and always filling. They bake their sweet potatoes to perfection, and the cinnamon sugar and butter are a wonderful topping. They even have flash fried Brussel sprouts, which are always delicious!! So I was in the area for business. Because it's next to my hotel and I just wanted food and to go back to my room after work as fast as possible, I basically ordered there 4 out of the 6 days I was there. First night, waited 25 minutes passed the pick up time and they forgot the butter. I said, okay, they're busy. They can forget condiments. Steak is overcooked a bit, but steak continues cooking after you take it off, so fine. Next day, I order chicken tenders. Not busy. Forgets ketchup. Alright. Another mistake, but I get over it. Food is still fine for the most part. Third time, no butter again. Okay, getting a bit annoyed now as its the third time. But they also made me come in in the pouring rain because they won't bring out to go orders outside in the rain to your car. Mind you, I go outside in my nice business suit I just got (I have very few of them because things are expensive and student loans cost more than my mortgage so I try to take care of the few nice work clothes I have) and it's drenched along with my one pair of nice shoes. So I'm not happy, but okay, they won't deliver in rain. Fine. I'm a bit salty, but no one wants to be in the rain. Just wish it wasn't a day I was dressed nicely and would have done a drive thru if I had known that. Fourth day. Another 15 minute wait passed the time of pick up. They didn't find my car, so I drove to the front. I check the bag this time after being burned 3 times prior. No silverware. No butter. No ketchup. Messed up salad order. Honestly, didn't notice the ketchup and salad at first because I was just checking for the butter they did not put in for the 3rd time along with the silverware. Went in to their takeout area. No one standing there and had to wait to get the two items I noticed were missing and realized the rest after I got back. Keep in mind, they ask for gratuity on these mobile orders before you receive the food so if they do a terrible job, you can't take it back. I'm skeptical as it was about gratuity when they're just packing and delivering it and they aren't doing that right. I forgave them and didn't go up and say anything 3 times, but by the fourth, this is too much. I gave two stars instead of one because the food did taste good despite being luke warm and my hotel being less than a two minute drive. read more

Jewel came through & assisted by checking in on us & giving us some advice on items that we had questions on! You talking about the teamwork, that was awesome! I was with a party of 5 so there were quite a few different dishes we tried, and for the majority everything was a hit! Even when 1 person wasn't pleased with her rib's she opted for a steak & the manager handled the situation for Ty to handle for my friend. She was very pleased with the outcome. Now, that's not to say the ribs weren't absolutely phenomenal for the others of us, I had them & they were great. I had a full rack & was able to have lunch for the next day! So the portions are pretty hefty. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere this time was super & it was after 5 pm work packed. Roaches while dining!My son and I attempted to eat lunch by dining in when an uninvited roach joined us. The manager is Jamal Estwick. This guy was unprofessional and unapologetic about our poor dining experience. First, Jamal walked up to our table; didn't introduce himself then told me it's not his fault because they fumigated last night!‍ He didn't kill the roach, didn't apologize but instead stayed agitated for me letting him know that I was totally unsettled over the roach experience; no restaurant should have roaches just crawling around on top of the guest! I guess my wife and I enjoyed our meals better than the average reviewer. She had the 6 ounce filet cooked medium and I had the 9 ounce filet cooked medium well. Warm bread came out quickly and it was very good. Salads came out a few minutes later. She had the garden salad which was good, and I had the Ceasar salad, which was fair. The steaks came out about 10-15 minutes after we finished the salads. Thank you thank you thank you for the break between courses and not pushing food on us. This is the proper way to serve, and too few restaurants do that. Unfortunately they got my potato order wrong, and it took me asking about to finally get the potato. Came here on a Friday with my husband, was slightly busy, a few parties. No busier, in my opinion, than any other Friday night.. we were seated in a young lady's section, named Ashley, I believe. I wouldn't know because she didn't look at us, hold up a finger, tell us she would be with us in a minute, absolutely nothing for 15 minutes. She basically just ignored us. I had to go to the hostess and tell her we hadn't been greeted or anything. So here comes Eric to save the day. He said he would grab us so we switched tables and he took great care of us. Good atmosphere but this place was out of everything! We had to wait 30 minutes which was great for the amount of people there, but I had a very bored child. While they had kid menus, they had no crayon. We get seated and it took almost way too long to order drinks, they took our drink order with our food order. They were out of the deep fried onion for the appetizer and out of mushrooms for a steak topping. My husband ordered a lobster tail on his steak that he says was over cooked. One of my kids ordered a filet, the other one ordered a rib eye. Both of them didn't like their steaks. And they love steak! The server did let us order Mac and cheese as a side to my youngest chicken tenders, but they don't advertise that they do this on their menu. While the waiter did come and check in on us with our food, and we got all of the items we ordered, from getting the check and boxes to paying our bill, we had to stand up and go find a different waiter to pay our bill. All in all, not a bad experience, but definitely not a perfect experience. I do not not recommend nor do I recommend this place to eat. read more

I must say the food was on point during our visit. I had the Outlaw Ribeye 20oz with a Sweet Potato and Broccoli. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My wife had the 12oz Ribeye with Brussel Sprouts and a Chef Salad. Her meal was cooked to her perfection as well. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous. The only downside was we attempted to call several times to obtain the wait time only to be placed on hold for an extended time. First time here In years and the food was amazing. My hubby ordered a flat iron steak that really seemed smaller than the size states but he said it was delicious. I ordered a burger and it was good. We had the Wild West shrimp ( which is plenty) and the chicken bites. We needed containers to save some because we were getting g full before our entrees arrived. We went soon As they opened so the food was excellent. Hoping it will be the same if we go back ok a busy night. I noticed that many restaurants rush out plates when they are busy and the portions tend to shrink. Updated: returned on this past Saturday. Were told that is was a ten minute wait even though there were many tables available. Not sure why but it did take us pst the lunch hour so we ended up paying a little Bit more for the entrees. My family had such a great experience at this location. We were celebrating my sister in law's engagement. We were blessed to have Devoshia as our server. Not only was he very accommodating, he entertained us with jokes and had a great sense of humor. We all ordered drinks and they were on point. Their daily $5 Jack and coke drink deal is amazing. We also ordered their ribeyes and wow they were perfectly seasoned. They were all slightly under cooked but I guess better it's undercooked than overcooked. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and will be coming back. Only reason I'm leaving a 4 star review is because we all requested medium steaks and they were all medium rare to rare steaks and it took about 15 minutes for us to get assigned our server once seated. The bartender also wasn't trying to make money because we stood at the bar for awhile to get drinks and eventually got our table and ordered there instead. The steak I had was cooked to order, the loaded back potato was enough not to make me too full and the corn on the cob was flavorable, however it was a little on the cold side. $100 for four people was pretty good to me. I use to love eating at the one in Hampton, Va. Over the years they have gone down hill. It has come to a point we stop eating inside because of bad service. We then started ordering on line and this was ok for a while. But then they have proven to me they have a management problem and this store has attitude problem with their servers. Their is no sense what so ever to keep getting bad service and that store could really care less. When I went to go pick up the ordered we ordered it was late as usual but when I left and look in the bag half of the order was missing AGAIN! I just returned the food and ask for them to credit the gift card and the rest of the money I could care less about. Bottom line is they have terrible service including take out. BTW, there were eleven customers sitting down and four people waiting for pick up. There bartender was rude a hell and had an attitude. The manager was no different. I can assure them I will never put foot in that store due to bad service.There is more than one steak house in this area. read more

I had a great experience at this Longhorn Steakhouse! Our waiter was fantastic and the steaks tasted amazing. My fiancé and I both ordered the 8 oz sirloin with 2 traditional sides. I ordered their broccoli and sweet potato and he ordered broccoli and French fries. The broccoli was cooked to perfection (I don't know about you, but I am NOT a fan of soggy broccoli). We both ordered our steaks medium well and they came out juicy and tender. My sweet potato with brown sugar and butter tasted like heaven! Our waiter kept the drinks full and she answered any questions we had about the menu. I was stuck between ordering the 6 oz sirloin or the 8 oz. I am very happy that I took our waiters advice!
