I have never in my life received service this bad. I can ignore people being rude or not being very friendly, that's fine, you're there to do a job, as long as I get my food, it's chill. Tyrone was a very average server, other than ignoring us most of the 1 hour and 45 minutes we were sat in the booth. We waited 15 minutes to be greeted (that's cool, it's happened at other places, they're busy and I'm patient). We waited 20 minutes for our drinks to show up. We waited another 30 minutes to be told that they were out of the appetizer that we'd ordered with our drinks. We waited 40ish minutes to find out that they didn't have the sides we had ordered (it seemed like he was just putting our order in). We ate in less than 20 minutes, we even had to wait longer for boxes and the check. I felt so trapped and gaslit through out the entire meal that I literally would have paid any amount of money to leave. We never saw the manager, he never came to the table to acknowledge the issue or even remotely tell us what was going on. Which is mind blowing for me as someone who worked in hospitality and got a degree in hospitality management. This is not how we're told to handle things in management programs. You hear about the issue and immediately go to the guest, hear them out, and do what you can to quickly resolve it without comping the whole meal. But we weren't acknowledged, heck it was another hour after the we found out that nothing we ordered was available except the steak and fish that we even received our food. Tyrone said we'd be comped this and that, but by the time I asked for the manager we'd been there an hour and 45 minutes, it was close to 10 pm. We were lied to about our order being put in, we were ignored as Tyrone helped many tables who came after us and left before us. It was a miserable experience. It's been hours and I'm still nauseous with anxiety over the whole thing. What's crazy is I wouldn't have even been mad or left a crappy tip if Tyrone had at least gotten our orders out in the time he said or brought me the boxes and the tip without me having to chase him down and beg him to let me pay and get out of there. At any point in time the wait would have been forgotten and we would have been happy if Tyrone actually followed through with anything he told us; with forgetting my father in law's fries, with getting the check, with bringing me a drink refill, with literally anything happening in the time he said it would. In the end I would never yell at someone or even be rude, but I told Tyrone he should get a different job. I was so mad I was shaking and trying not to go into a panic attack, I couldn't even manage to raise my voice. In all of my years, I've never tried Longhorn Steakhouse, but I must say, for the first time it was a blast! I would like to say thank you to Mandy L for exhibiting great customer service skills and being a genuine person/bartender. She made several suggestions that were ALL top and 5 Star if you ask me! For starters, she recommended a side of ranch and a side of balsamic vinaigrette and the mixture was something WE should coin! **hint hint** I ordered the Flo Filet Medium and it was amazing! The seasoning was explicit-no sauce needed. I also had a loaded baked potato on the side which I'll take home for a snack and a glass of Pinot Noir. Before pouring a full glass, she made sure I would like it by giving a small sample and I did, hence I chose a long pour. The vibe was just right! A nice cozy ambiance speaking with a fellow retiree... Go Air Force! If you're in town or on the East Coast, I would highly recommend taking a seat at the Longhorn Steakhouse! ANOTHER bad experience... Went there for a friend's retirement celebration. As usual, server seemed rushed and had a bad attitude and as usual, they were out of certain items. I dont know who is responsible for purchasing but they need to be fired because they are always "out of something". I ordered a shrimp appetizer, they were previously frozen and heavily, heavily salted. I could not eat them. I didn't send them back for a re-order for fear that the cook would probably spit in the replacement order. Never, ever would I recommend this place! 5 stars for our server yesterday 10/26/2024 during lunch on Saturday. I did not get her name, but she was a true gem. She was wearing a red bow, and had red hair clips throughout her braids as well. She was such a good server, and a sweet woman. A group of 9 of us were gathered in town for a sad event, but her energy and kindness really lifted us up. She made sure we had plenty of bread, waters (a whole bunch of lemons), and the guys got beer. I ordered a lunch special which was reasonably priced: it was $10.99 for a sirloin salad with caesar dressing, and a loaded baked potato. The food was good to fill us up before we headed back up to northern VA. Thank you so much to our server for being wonderful yesterday, it really meant a lot. If only I got her name. We were calling a week in advance to make a reservation for a birthday party. Was told on Tuesday to call back on the day of to make a reservation. So we called the morning of the party and were told to call back in a hour. Called back a hour later and was told they can't hold our party. Very unprofessional and a huge inconvenience. Over two and a half hours in the restaurant, cold food, and I only ate bread. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences we've had at LongHorn Steakhouse. We joined the waitlist and were seated in less than 10 minutes. Our server came to the table promptly and returned shortly after to take our order. Once the order was placed, it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We were told the kitchen was backed up, and when the food finally came out, it was cold and overly seasoned. We kept one plate and sent the other back, which took another 45 minutes to be remade. During this entire time, I only ate bread. By the time the replacement plate came out, I no longer wanted the food and took it home without eating it. My mother ordered the shrimp dinner. She did not eat it and planned to leave it untouched on the table. I explained to the manager that since the shrimp dinner was not eaten and was going to be left, it needed to be removed from the ticket, which he did. However, after removing that item, the manager then removed the discount from the remaining meal, despite the excessive delays, food quality issues, and the fact that I never ate my meal. This was after waiting over 45 minutes for the first plate, another 45 minutes for the remade plate, and about an hour just to receive our ticket. Our server had been assigned a party of 15 and could not complete our service. The ticket was printed and handed to another server who was unaware of what had occurred. The manager never personally returned to apologize or properly address the situation. In total, we spent over two and a half hours in the restaurant. I only ate bread, and my mother had a bowl of potato soup. This was meant to be a Valentine's Day outing for my mother, and the experience was frustrating and unacceptable. read more

I dined at this steakhouse on December 8, my first time. The ambience is low light, lots of decor, not cozy but cluttered. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with a baked potato and salad. The steak was done correctly, but it had a lot of grizzle on it. It wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be, as there was a good sizzle on it. The baked potato was dry, skin was crinkled as though it had been cooked in a microwave; I could only eat the middle. There was little garnish on it, despite being called "loaded." The salad was delicously crisp. The service was great, always a plus. The grizzle came home with me for me dog, and the potato for my home fries at breakfast. Gotta be frugal these days. Haven't dined at Longhorn in many years, at least 10-12. No real reason why, just a lot of changes including death of my stepdad not long ago. Arrived yesterday with mom, she ordered the Filet steak with Brussel sprouts and I ordered the BBQ chicken with grilled shrimp. Food arrived and mom LOVED her steak. She gave me a taste and wow-perfection! My broccoli was perfect, fries lacked seasoning and got weren't mind-blowing but were okay. The shrimp was excellent. I even tried one of mom's sprouts and it was good even though I remember hating sprouts as a kid. I got to my chicken and desperately wanted a fire extinguisher. HOT/SPICY!! Yikes. Our server Latrice was excellent--she brought me a BBQ that was pure heaven but it was too late, no way to scrape off the hot sauce and my tongue was just flaming no matter what I did. It didn't help that I had burned my tongue on hot soup a while back and it's still sensitive. Latrice was so kind and caring, kept the refills coming and did all she could for me. In the end I couldn't eat the first chicken and Latrice brought me an all new chicken with the better sauce. The chicken is so tender I could cut it with a FORK! They really have excellent chicken here. $67 for the bill, and Latrice earned a full 22% TIP. We will be back, ask for Latrice but mindful of the sauce next time. read more

UPDATE: Haley has made my entire night! She was quick and my order was perfect! She even added extra things like Heinz and another butter without asking. Everytime I come here I have problems but she had my food ready and it was at a great temperature and she was super friendly. EVERYONE ASK FOR HALEY ON CURBSIDE!!!! So I'll never to do Curbside again. I literally asked for everything but tomatoes on my salad and got only tomatoes l. Oh man. Came here with a party of 8 which was our first mistake. Parties of 2 or 3 were sat right away. Another large party came before us so we really had a long wait. Me and my family visited this restaurant for my son's 11th birthday and had a poor experience. Me and my husbands steaks took forever, were incorrectly cooked and the sides were cold. My kids food didn't come out until 20 minutes after me and my husbands which made the experience awful. After the visit I contacted longhorn's customer service representative who just asked me to prove that I ate there and didn't seem to care at all about our bad experience. After telling me a manager from the store would contact me about the experience, which never happened, I received an email which seemed condescending and careless, and didn't resolve anything. I've since emailed back asking why I was never contacted by a manager and have gotten no response. If you don't want to have a bad experience and want your food cooked the way you ask for it to be cooked, then DO NOT visit this Hampton, VA location. this was my first time trying this place. wanted to try something different with my boyfriend for our Valentine's Day date.. our waiter Brenda was doing her best, she was very sweet and welcoming but she was all over the place from table to table poor lady didn't know if she coming or going but I loved her energy. the dishes that came to the table for our appetizers were very dirty. drinking glasses and sliver ware was also dirty. The appetizers and food came to the table the same time. nothing had seasoning on it or to it. My Brussels sprouts are just now coming to the table as we are asking for Togo boxes. So we had this today and was very disappointed. I asked for a 8 oz sirloin cooked medium and unfortunately the steak was undercooked. I tried to eat it however after one bite I decided to send it back. Now I know heat is applied and it's safe but I was very disturbed that they put it back on the grill and cooked it. They then served the same steak which I am not used to however I rarely send food back. The overall problem was the steak was small but almost round which I am sure makes it much more difficult to cook. That doesn't excuse a steakhouse that can't cook a medium steak or the fact that no management followed up after I sent it back.
