But was still tender I guess. The sides I got were chili (it was fine... not too salty which was good) and the Caesar salad which was fine as well. I did order a small steak with my other items and was pleasantly surprised how tender it was. And it wasn't an expensive cut of steak! This is NOT my typical review, nor do I like to give places a bad review. I want to make it SUPER clear. My server Olivia was so sweet. She did a great job and was very professional. She was tipped very well for doing her job well. I can't say the same for the nepotism between the manager and her two children. Their customer service lacked professionalism and a customer first reaction. I am very careful how I approach quality control issues. Especially in a packed restaurant while others are eating. However, this is a review so I'll be blunt. My chicken had yellow fat, gristle and zero flavor. I honestly couldn't tell if it was undercooked or juicy. However, I didn't want to after my second disgusting mouthful. My potatoes were runny and lacked substantial substance. It was a rough night. My daughter's food was fine, however her mashed potatoes had the same issue. I will say the rolls were fantastic. And the hostess who greeted me gave me a warm welcome and some rolls while we waited. My daughter wasn't feeling well and needed to eat. So I really appreciated that. Had it not been for the server and the hostess I would have given this review a 1. We ordered four dozen rolls to have with our Thanksgiving dinner. We came to pick them up and failed to check how they looked until we got home. We discovered that half of them were great and half of them were very burnt. Both my wife and my sister-in-law called and Cheyenne was rude to both of them on the phone. There was no apology and asked us to drive over 30 minutes round-trip back to swap out the roles for better rolls. So I drove back and talked with JoJo, who was one of the managers there and she was very helpful. She even showed me the rolls before she bagged them up and they looked great. It was unfortunate that no one ever apologized for the first ones, but we did get good rolls. I was originally going to give a one star review, but decided to improve that based on the rolls we received and how pleasant Jojo was. The young man that delivered the rolls out to our car. The first time was also very nice. I would just say if you were ever going to order food from here for takeout that you need to check everything before you leave and if something is wrong, hope that the person you talk to is not having a bad day. On 2/06/26 @ 6:30 PM we called ahead hoping to simplify things, with having our 3 granddaughters ages 6 through 9 that was hungry. What a unprofessional experience... S - - - started off COMPLAINING about a problem that she was dealing with at another table before taking our order. A problem like I am suppose to care = NOT... And then she walks up to our table 45 minutes after taking our order and said "that she FORGOT to turn our order in." I'm thinking WTF? BUT having 3 granddaughters with us I was trying to be understanding... 1 1/2 hour later after taking our order she shows up to serve our meal... And then she forgot one of the granddaughters meal so the granddaughter had to wait another 15 minutes for her meal... And we were there to celebrate our 8 year old granddaughters Birthday and I mentioned this to $ - - - - at the beginning of our meal and asked for them to sing Happy Birthday, I guess she FORGOT that too! Although everyone else's food was great and hot and honestly best steak for the price including mine, except our sweet daughter's steak was subpar. She requested a medium well and when arrived came out dry and very over cooked. We encouraged her to send it back and get another and then the next one not dry was still overcooked. Unfortunately she just ate most and took the rest home. We had a great time and always do but it would've been nice to have our daughter eat with us when all the food was served instead of eating as we're all wanting to leave. The service was good. I came in the other day for my sisters 21st to eat with our girls. We waited maybe 5 minutes if that. When we were sat the server immediately came and got our drinks. I can't remember her name but she is the best server I have had in a long time. Being a server myself I was so impressed and happy with my experience and everything about my visit. This is a great place! Some of the best customer service I've seen in awhile by anyone. Mckayla was our waitress and she did an amazing job and made sure we were taken care of. One of the hostesses also went above and beyond for my husband and I. I feel terrible for not getting her name but there was a storm going when leaving and she offered her umbrella to me so I wouldn't get wet. Well today was my worst experience at a Texas Roadhouse. The wait for a table was short and Rick was friendly, but food quality was poor at this location. The rolls were not fresh and not hot, we usually love the rolls with butter. The blooming onion was good as always. I had the herb crusted chicken which was bland and charred more than I prefer. The Caesar salad was soaked with dressing although the lettuce appeared fresh. The best part of my meal was the mashed potatoes with milk gravy. My husband had the sirloin with Caesar salad and steak fries. His steak was undercooked but he still enjoyed his meal. He doesn't mind a bloody steak even though he prefers it medium.My mother ordered steak tips with rice and corn. Steak tips were a bit tough yet flavorful. I thought this place was pretty good for a chain restaurant. I am not normally a fan of chain restaurants these days because I feel like you can eat a meal that is just as tasty at a locally owned place for the same price, but the family wanted to eat here so we gave it a try. We tried the burger and the country friend steak. I was really impressed with the burger - it was delicious. The fries were good too. The country fried steak was huge and enough for two people really. The side I had with this was the baked potato- was not a fan of this. It wasn't crispy on the outside and just didnt have that yummy flavor that a steakhouse baked potato normally has. The house salad was very good though. My New York Strip - as far as I am concerned, the most flavorable cut...elsewhere - was so salty so as to be inedible. Service was as expected in a newly opened business. I tried again last week. Service was improved, except for the waitress not knowing what a "traditional cut" was, despite it being spelled out on the menu. The steak was not as salty, but the salt overtone left no room for the steak's taste. This new location is no different. Being new, it's been quite crowded. Don't let that keep you away. They turn over the tables at a pretty good pace. The times we went, the wait was never longer than 20 mins. Hopefully, that stays consistent. Decor is typical western rustic. The staff, young, friendly and enthusiastic. Our last visit I had the roadkill, my daughter the New York strip and my wife had the salmon. All were cooked and seasoned perfectly well. No complaints at all. We have tried this location three times now. The first I got the ribs and family got the bone in ribeye's to go. I loved the ribs but wife and daughter both said the steak was barely eatable because of so much gristle. On our second visit we all got the Ft. Worth ribeye's. They were a little better than the bone in but still gristle all over. Last night we decided to try them again but getting the porterhouse because we never seen a porterhouse with much gristle, but alas we were wrong. I have long had the opinion that for most establishments- when you order take out - particularly steak - they grab the worst piece of meat they wouldn't dare sell/serve to a seated customer and send it out the door. Not so with Texas Roadhouse! I recently ordered a bone in ribeye rare. The steak was fabulous. It was cooked to perfection and had a great flavor.
