I ordered takeout on 9/19/2020. This probably the best takeout and web ordering restaurant in Jackson, TN! The web ordering system is simple and easy to use. the pickup parking area is clearly marked. Instructions on calling and having it brought out is very easy. The person taking the call and the person bringing it out are quick. The order was hot when we got home. We ordered the Ribeye Sandwich and fries. The sandwich was big enough for two to share. You have a choice of sides. We chose fries. The fries have a choice of seasoned or not seasoned and both are good. The meat on the sandwich was tender. The price was reasonable. Ok, I have to add this information. The order had a pre-charged tip. So don't tip on your own. I don't mind it added, but I would like to know this in advance so I won't double tip. I do suggest this restaurant and consider it a top performer. read more

Brought my whole family here for my Brothers Birthday. 7 of us. Waiter was cool. Food was below average. Me and my wife both had the Rib-eye and they were cooked medium. Both were very tough and lacked flavor. My Brother ordered the bone in ribeye. He said his was full of fat and probably was the worst he has ever had there. One of my daughters ordered the Sirloin and shrimp. She said everything was over cooked and very tough. My other daughter ordered the chicken strips. She said it was ok she guess. My dad ordered the NY Strip. He said that his was also tough and lacked flavor. My mom ordered the Filet. She said hers was actually very good. Honestly the consistency of same issues with different steaks means it usually not a meat issue but a cook issue. Really dissatisfied and disappointed my Bill came to $214 plus tip. Really expected better. 2 stars because the waiter was cool and the place was clean. Food was a one star. All of our left overs are going to the dogs. Update 12-22-21 We returned for another try. Visited this place my first, and last time. My food looked like leftovers from the previous night. It was overcooked and cold when it was brought to me. The waitress had to be flagged down for ketchup, and was too busy chatting to come and refill our drinks. After waiting half an hour, we finally got up and walked to the counter, to ask for our ticket. She refilled our drinks right as we were standing up to leave. Terrible service, terrible food. Last time we go there. The only good things about our visit was our server and the food. Now to the bad; the plates we got were not washed properly, after the second and third set of plates came they were also not as dirty but you can tell they just tried to wipe them off in a hurry. I mean the first set had leftover bits of food on them of whoever used them last. Table was dirty, menus were sticky. This was our "go to" place to celebrate family occasions but sadly not anymore. We occasionally eat here when we shop in Jackson. LongHorn is our go to chain when traveling. We can always count on the food to be consistent no matter which location we stop at. Our waitress was very nice and on top of it throughout our visit. The hostess greeted us immediately and we were sat as soon as we walked in. The food has always been great. Overall this place is always clean, staff is always been pleasant and reasonable prices. They are accommodating for large groups but they do get busy fast. I recently moved to Jackson. Tried Longhorn last night. I got a grilled chicken Caesar and baked potato. Sat at the bar and I was by myself. The only reason it only received 4 stars was that I wasn't crazy about their Caesar but that's just a personal preference. The service was fantastic. In this time where employees are so hard to find that service really suffers, Longhorn has figured it out. Great treatment by entire staff. I will be back soon. read more

Three of us went in right at noon for a business lunch and immediately seated by a smiling hostess. Our server was quick to get our drink order and we ordered the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer. The appetizer came out in a timely manner and we had time to eat it before our food arrived. My sirloin was cooked to my request and my business partners had chopped steak and the Chicken Parm. This was the first and last time I will eat at a Longhorn Steakhouse. For about $30 after a drink and tip, I got a tiny "house" salad drowned in dressing to the point of being almost inedible, followed by grilled salmon that probably started out ok before being generously bathed in some sort of greasy sauce. Only Longhorn Steakhouse could make a salad and grilled fish into an unhealthy meal. Tip to management: people ordering salads and grilled fish are trying to eat healthy; drenching everything in oily sauces is a good way to make sure they won't come back. And then there's the atmosphere, if you can call it that. Loud music and loud people, jammed up close to one another and in my case served by an arrogant waiter who regaled me with unsolicited stories meant to highlight his personal awesomeness. Especially considering that it's one of the pricier chain restaurants, Longhorn Steakhouse was a big disappointment. read more

I am not going to put this chain steakhouse on the level of Long John Silver's, but it's pretty close at times. Maybe it's just the hometown and Hub City location that is lacking in service, originality and quality, but I doubt I will check out another anytime soon. Don't get me wrong - I have been to the LongHorn plenty of times. I usually get a salad. And then I will get a salad the next time. And then I will get a steak and order it medium rare. And it will show up well done. And I will be nice and eat it and drown it in A-1 because it tastes like rubber. And I will promise myself I will only order the grilled chicken salad in the future. And after a few times of getting the salad, I get the steak. And it is massively overcooked. You hopefully catch my drift. One time, after the 2003 tornado, my parents ate here when it was pretty much the only place in town not out of power and closed. They asked to split a filet, and the kitchen cut the steak in half for them in the kitchen before cooking - horizontally. Their filet was 1/2 an inch thick and per their description was about as tender as a steel beam. So anyway, this is likely a great place to go if you like your meat well done. Which I do not. So I will be sticking to the chicken salad from now on. Note: the rice side dish is pretty good. 2 stars. read more

Definitely the best steak in Jackson. Usually really busy on the weekends, but still remain fast service wise, and the servers are generally very kind. We have tried every steak place in Jackson but always come back to LongHorn because it's consistently good! We love the Outlaw Ribeye and Flo's Filet! The loaded sweet potato is scrumptious, too. I have a gluten allergy and they're always great about helping me modify my food to be gluten free and have an excellent online allergen menu. read more

Extremely disappointed with the To-Go service presented by this establishment. Online ordering seems like it would be ideal but made the experience entirely too long. Placed our order to be ready to be picked up at 6:30. Once we got there at 6:20 we didn't actually receive our To-go food until after 7:00pm. Once we ate the food it was far to cold clearly prepared way before 7:00 even though we had to wait for the order to be given to us. The order also was incomplete and just overall disappointing. We've be huge fans of longhorn for years but hate to say we won't be returning and definitely won't be using the to-go service ever again. read more

After driving over an hour with my wife to celebrate my birthday with a Outlaw Ribeye (my favorite). The waiter informed me that they were out of the Outlaw Ribeye. And that a delivery truck was due in. To make a long story short, the manager tracked down the delivery truck at another local restaurant, sent someone over to get their steaks off the truck. We went to Longhorn after playing golf and wanted a steak. 4 of us ordered and it was lunch time. Ordered Two 12 oz steaks, 27 oz bone in rib eye and large baby back ribs. Was offered only one side. No salad. Why? Manager they were charging lower lunch price. I paid $145 with tip. You order a steak and only get one side and no salad. Ordered medium rare and they were well done. 2nd time I have been screwed here and it's the last. Rafferty's better steak house. Carpet stinks in restaurant and bathrooms very dirty. read more

This is one of my favorite steakhouses. I have only have excellent customer service here, always impressed. Their strawberry lemonade is delicious. My personal favorite is the salmon or the pork chops- both are so delicious and cooked to perfection. Their bread is very good as well. They have yummy steaks and salads as well. read more

Excellent food. Everyone I have talked to about the place says the service and food are great. On our last visit it took a while and some of the food that was brought out was not that great looking. As the plates were set down the waitress apologized and let us know the affected dishes were being re-made and that the manager would be over to see us. The remade dishes were excellent and the entire table ended up being comped. It was nice that they saw that the service was not up to par and on their own, with out a word from us made it right. Well, I have been eating at Longhorns around region for years. One thing I can safely say is the food is inconsistently good. And the service is ALWAYS hit or miss. After a recent outing at the Jackson, Tenn. location, I decided I will have to quit gambling on whether I would get good service or good food or neither. First, they were out of their highly recommended firecracker wraps. My companion had to send her chicken entree back because it was cold. Unwaivered, I dove into my New York strip, which I ordered to be cooked medium. The first quarter of it was cooked to perfection...... However, as I neared the center it was a raw, bloody mess. Not wanting to have recooked steak brought back to me I just chose to take it home. Our waitress may have had too much to deal that evening with and always seemed to be walking away as she asked how we were. She loudly slung the bread on the table and spilled tea on my friend, not once, but twice. The manager did take the chicken off our ticket and we tipped the waitress the full amount as if we were still paying full price. Sorry Longhorn, you have fallen short too many times. read more
