This place always leaves me satisfied. Their steaks, especially the ribeye, are very flavorful. Not Ruth Chris level mind you, but still about the best Jackson has to offer. Ordered Prime rib. Out. Ok, Ribeye will do. They were so thin, it's hard to cook them our choice of medium rare. In fact, so hard that my husbands was cold. The broccoli was warm but not much life left in it. The best thing we ate was our baked potato. Management did come to the table to apologize, but as I said....too thin to be a good steak. When we were finished my husband said he hoped it was the worst steak he would ever eat because he didn't want it to be any worse. read more

The Steaks are prepared properly . The service is ok I don't understand if a ribeye is 26.00 and six people eat or a couple comes in of 2 Why do they get skimpy with the bread. I don't get a discount on the price so don't short change me on the bread and make me feel like a hog making the wait staff bring 4 or 5 baskets of bread. Have eaten at longhorn many times in south carolina but this one was terrible. The salmon was over cooked and the veggies were undercooked.

The food was horrible. When they finally sat us at the table it was still food all around the floor and several servers passed our table before someone came to our table. My appetizer came out out on a dirty plate. Finally there were several children at a table and their parents were allowing to walk, jump and dance all over the table next to them. Disappointed - today. I normally order the 18oz Outlaw Ribeye. I like my steak with a bone-in for flavor and prefer it rare to medium rare. Today? NO BONE! (except a small sliver that I almost didn't find). The person making the grill should know that the steak didn't have a bone - but they 'chose' to cook it anyway. Someone else in the kitchen is responsible for the quality of the food that goes out to the customers tables! Someone! Yes, really. Maybe they didn't show up today? Then the wait staff is the next quality checkpoint. There's absolutely no excuse for poor quality food leaving the kitchen. Went didn't I send it back? Strange things happen when food is sent back.... just sayin' Customers vote with their dollars. Sigh. I guess I need to find another steak restaurant. read more

Had a birthday meal today at LongHorn and our server Regina was spot on. She was so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We both ordered Ribeye steaks and they were cooked to perfection. The Caesar side salad was huge and delicious. I ordered the cheese cake to take home because I couldn't eat another bite and it was also outstanding. We will definitely eat there again and hope Regina is our server. Great service and great food. read more

I was delighted to visit this restaurant this evening! The service was impeccable from a well trained waiter who hustled and made sure everything was just perfect. The food tasted SO good. The 11 oz sirloin steaks were THICK juicy and perfectly cooked. The new Signature side dishes were well worth the extra $1.79. We had carrots and Parmesan crusted spinach instead of a salad. Adults take note-a family with 6 and 8 year old boys sat next to us, gaming devices blaring, which increased the overall noise of the room exponentially. I mentioned this to our waiter and the issue was politely resolved by the manager within 2 minutes. What the heck!!!! This place and Baudo's Italian have my loyal business. I am a clean freak and just hate the southern lack of cleanliness in our area restaurants. This restaurant is clean, from the bathrooms to the floors, tables, walls, and light fixtures were all clean and ready for business. read more

I was not dissatisfied with this choice. A good way from home and not feeling super, I thought a good, warm meal would help. I also felt like I might need to linger a little longer than would be either comfortable or welcome at any more casual establishment. I also ordered way more food than I'd be able to eat because things looked so yummy and I wanted to try them, and I felt like it would make my server happy to give me any "extra" time I might need before I felt recovered enough to drive the rest of the way home. I started with the Sweet Chili Ginger Calamari, and it was delicious! Lightly crispy, not overcooked, and it was tossed in the chili-ginger sauce perfectly! It wasn't overpowering or underwhelming. I then had a bowl of shrimp and lobster chowder, which was warm and filling, and satisfying enough in every way. I completely ignored the complementary loaf of bread and butter and ate my mixed green salad. It was fresh and tasty. My main dish was a ribeye with creamy mashed potatoes and a lobster tail, and sautéed Portobello mushrooms. The ribeye was seasoned and cooked beautifully. The mashed potatoes were wickedly creamy and comforting. The mushrooms were absolutely heavenly. The lobster tail........the lobster could have earned them that final star. Alas, it was so overly seasoned and salty that I couldn't even taste the lobster. Sad! I didn't say anything because I noticed a table near me was keeping my server on his toes, and I'm nice like that...not wanting to give someone anymore of a hard time. don`t pickjackson tn. they don`t have their act together! we get there at 4:oo p.m. ten of us, they set us in two booths, said thats all they had we crowd in we get drinks, i ask for sweet n low i get it after orders are taken and placed.salad orders were mixed up. our waiter tells us don`t order 10 oz ribeye if you want it rare.we got it med. but it was so salty we could not eat it.the waiter offered to bring another without any seasoning i didn`t order a steak with seasoning. we got mashed potatoes they were room temp. they brought more the were room temp. waiter put them in micro wave.that was first and last time for this group of ten. i say, how much training do you give your employes? read more

The service was quick and the waitress was very polite. The food was amazing! My husband and I both got the ribeye and it was so tender and juicy, perfectly seasoned. No steak sauce was needed, and that is coming from an avid steak sauce user. We will definitely be back! read more

Let me start by saying This experience was both good and bad. I came here last night with my parents for Father's Day. I don't live at home so this was a special treat for all. The food was not the best, my steak was under cooked and my sweet potato had more than half a cup of cinnamon. But what really stuck out was what happened at our servers other table. The women next to us started screaming and causing a huge fit because her chicken had come out a little later than a table of a different race. After 15 minutes of listening to this women (and her entire party) make a HUGE deal about their civil liberties?, having their check comped, and their food boxes up, listening to a manger talk to her for another 15 minutes, our server finally returned in tears, having had this women scream at her the entire time. The party finally left (I'm sure very happy with themselves and the ordeal they had caused) and our server was very upset. I got up and hugged her because I felt so bad. So I am very thankful I don't live in Jackson Tn..... Because I've never seen more rude and terrible treatment of a server in my life. And I used to be one!! So if you come to longhorn in Jackson make sure to ask for Lisa C. Because she's an amazing server!! And could definitely use some love. read more
