First let me say this Longhorn is my #1 out to eat spot. BUT on this occasion I wanted to sit to the bar at 745pm true to sit at the bar and the bartender said the bar was closed with seats readily available. With a nonchalant attitude. My husband and I used to love this location, the service is reliably friendly. Recently the food quality has gone downhill and my favorites are not consistent. I've always loved the brussel sprouts but three visits in a row they were burned which bums me out! The steaks are usually cooked well and flavorful but they are lackluster and it's hit and miss lately. But after our visit a couple weeks ago, we won't be back. We noticed a roach on the booth across from us. We tried to shoe it away but it wasn't fearful. On a busy night, it shouldn't have been comfortable to be in dining room. I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to a Longhorn (this one was in Jacksonville). I thought, the meat would be subpar, but I was wrong. My sirloin was perfectly cooked to my request, and it was seasoned so well, I didn't need to add additional salt and pepper. The Caesar salad was a big portion and was dressed perfectly. Baked potato was good. Bread basket was always maintained filled. And the drinks were a good size and tasty. Service was great. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and super friendly. After driving non-stop from Tampa on a Friday night, hubs & I were starving! We had 10pm tickets for the 13th Floor Haunted House across the parking lot, which gave us about an hour to eat. Hubs announced that he was craving a steak so we parked behind Longhorn. We sat in the bar on hubs' suggestion. Our server was Amelia, and she was simply outstanding. We decided to split the outlaw ribeye & strawberry salad. However, we were undecided on the side for our steak: torn between mashed potatoes and mac & cheese that Amelia said had bacon mixed in. We ultimately chose the mashed potatoes, and because I'd perked up about the bacon, Amelia included a cup of bacon, cheese & sour cream to add to our mashed potatoes. Who does that?! Amelia does. The outlaw ribeye steak was huge & delicious, but even the two of us couldn't finish it. I loved the mashed potatoes, and even more so with the extras. But that strawberry salad was a delightful surprise. We actually ate all of it because it was so tasty! Initially I'd wanted to eat elsewhere but hubs' insistence was serendipitously genius. Our server Amelia really made the visit perfect as she was so accommodating to our entree-sharing & indecisiveness. The bathrooms here are dirty and very old. One of the waitresses started serving her tables by stating her day would be better if she didn't lose her voice from yelling at her husband. Not very welcoming way to greet people. Drinks here are not made well and certainly not worth the price. Food was ok but servers were slamming plates down when bringing them out. My cloth napkin still had food left on it after washing. Will not be coming back. read more

1st time at this LongHorn location. On 2/19/26 (Thursday) my daughter and I went there in the evening. It was a disappointment from start to finish. There was a short line, so we went to the bar. The lady next to us who was alone was on her phone. I asked the bartender if we had to listen to this while we were there and she shrugged her shoulders. The bartender was an older lady with no personality. We moved to a table across from the bar. Unfortunately, we could still hear the lady at the bar. Every few minutes her phone would make a loud noise like she was playing a game. On to the food. We both had filets which we ordered medium rare. Both came out rare. My daughter sent hers back and the next steak was not much better. The bartender was also our waitress. She was nonchalant about everything and just going through the motions. I ordered the 6 oz Flo's Filet, medium rare, with a side of shrimp, mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and a loaded baked potato. I had strawberry lemonade and a shot of Fireball and Dr. Pepper. My daughter had the kids chicken tenders with oranges. She drank Apple juice. My friend had the chopped steak with the Mac n cheese and fries. He ordered the house ale to drink. My shrimp came on rice pilaf, which was also good. I was in Jacksonville, Florida the other day and a group of clients and myself were heading to lunch. We were trying to figure out where to go and it seemed there was not a lot of options. One client through out Longhorn's and we all agreed. We pulled into the parking lot of a shopping plaza and lo and behold, there was the Longhorn. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and we placed our drink orders (it is the middle of the day so it was a combination of sodas and unsweet tea for us). I couldn't decide between the burger or the steak sandwich. I ended up going with the steak sandwich and I will say that this was a true winner. It was a ribeye steak with swiss and onions. For my side I opted for soup. The steak was more a sandwich than say a cheesesteak like the ones in Philadelphia, so don't expect that. I love a Philadelphia-style cheesesteak, but this sandwich was very good and one I would definitely recommend. As for the burgers, they looked pretty good, as well. Our server was very good, personable, attentive, friendly. She made the experience all the better. As for the ambiance, if you have been to a Longhorn, you know the deal. If not, while nothing fancy, they succeed at making you feel at home. I definitely would recommend here. Try the burger or this steak sandwich that I had. You can't go wrong with either. Another time I was here, I had the parmesan chicken. If you are here for dinner, I haven't been to this location for anything but lunch, but I would go with the steak. While the kitchen deserves the blame, the waiter was clearly not paying attention as he delivered three extra items to our table as well. I think this location is why Longhorn had left a bad taste in my mouth and I had abandoned it altogether. Mom decided to come here for our annual Christmas Eve dinner outing and I agreed. I was thinking about going some place that server more "lighter" fare, since we always put a hurtin' on food around the holidays but it is what it is, right? That's what New Year resolutions are for. Upon walking in it smelled like old cleaner that went away the longer you inhaled it. It didn't bother her any so I went with it. She saw the White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms and immediately wanted them for an appetizer. I've had them before and they were very good. These were not as good as that time mainly because I think they used more cheese. They were still good though. For the entrees, she got the Redrock Grilled Shrimp but substituted the rice for a loaded baked potato, broccoli and fries. I got the Baby Back Ribs with Mixed Veggies and fries as well. My side of fries paled in comparisons to my mother's. Hers was on a whole separate plate where mine were on the same plate with my ribs and less than a handful. I should have said something at this point but I was paying for the ribs and if something was wrong with those I would have. The ribs were great and I ended up taking half a rack home. Mom was happy with her meal. I wanted to share a dessert with her but ended up taking a key lime pie jar to-go. It was almost completely melted by the time I got home but that's Florida weather for ya. The only thing that reminded me of my last visit to a Longhorn was my new favorite drink, the Montana Mule. They still made it the same and it's still delicious. I will continue to go to Longhorn but I may speak up and suggest going to a different one. read more

My review is tainted thanks to a food allergy- I wanted to order the grilled shrimp and questioned if the seasoning used had any kind of red peppers or any peppers. Our wonderful server, Joanna- went to check with the kitchen and came back to tell me there were no peppers. So I placed my order and hubby ordered pork chops. Service was great- drinks, salads and food came out quickly and our server checked on us multiple times. My meal however did have peppers in the spice- I knew immediately. I carry benadryl with me at all times because of this reason. I really wanted this dinner- but I ate my mashed potatoes and only a couple of the shrimp and passed the rest off to my husband. I didn't complain- because I didn't want the server to feel bad. She had done her part- either the kitchen staff was unaware of all the ingredients or didn't thoroughly check. The broccoli had a lemon taste on it- which might have worked well with the seafood, but was unappetizing. I know for next time not to order the shrimp. Unfortunate that this visit wasn't better. We had great service despite some pretty large groups all around us. We started with the firecracker Chicken wraps - always a favorite with our family. I love that it is served on a bed of lettuce. It is like an extra salad. Their house salad was fresh, but seemed smaller than usual. It was also smothered in dressing and not on a good way. I had grilled chicken topped with the pineapple salsa (this is not on the menu - I combined to menu items). It was great! I also had the watermelon margarita (long pour - served with a shaker). Very tasty, but seemed a little watered down. My husband had the ribs. Cooked just right and the sauce was great. My daughter's steak was a perfect medium. She also had a potato soup. Stopped by LongHorn for dinner tonight and we were not disappointed. We ordered the lamb chops, outlaw ribeye and a fried lobster tail. The lamb chops were a little charred but the overall taste was good. The Mac and cheese was my favorite and the ribeye and lobster were great as well. My family came to this location for a late lunch after shopping at the local stores. The service here was awful. The moment we sat down our server told us he will come back after going to deliver food to a separate table. The table he was talking about had over fifteen people at it. Almost thirty minutes later. When we waived down someone else to get our order in, they refused and said our server will be to us in a few. We put in our order in. While waiting for our drinks I noticed a group of young women being seated at the table behind us. Our server gave them immediate service. He delivered their drinks before ours. I've come here with my husband a couple times for lunch now, but have yet to try it for dinner. This location has some of the friendliest foodservice staff I have ever encountered! In both visits, we were checked on by a manager, never had to ask for a refill, and offered additional bread baskets. In one, I needed to charge my phone- and they happily found me a place to do so when I asked about it. The prices were fair, and the food and plates served at appropriate temperatures. My only complaint is that they seem to have gone a little heavy on the salt for my taste, but that isn't much to complain about! I will update if/when we come back for dinner. read more

This place is hit and miss. Usually the steaks are good, but last night I ordered a renegade steak with shrimp. The steak was bland, bland, bland. The shrimp was good. Absolutely the best restaurant in Arlington and definitely the best steakhouse in the Jacksonville area. The food is great and reasonably priced and the staff is exceptional. We have never had a bad meal there and eat here often. We also noticed that there are lots of other regular customers who come back time and again. The managers are attentive and the managing partner always greets as many customers as possible and makes sure that their food meets expectations. We will keep coming back. read more

LongHorn has TRULY surpassed my expectations! My only time prior to this was around 2010 when I was very disappointed and the Elite Yelp Event this past August, where the ensemble was out of this world. This visit I was able to finally use my gift card that was generously provided after the event. Why only a four? We were originally thinking about a 3 but the food was AMAZING. We made the trek from southside since the wait there was an hour. We called ahead, informed the wait was 25-30 minutes, and upon arrival after about 20 minutes of driving we were immediately seated. Success! More waiting? After sitting we ordered some water, the waiter comes back and takes our drink orders which the wait took a lot longer, then our food took a little less than 10 minutes. The table that was seated after us got everything immediately, even the complimentary bread right after sitting. Our waiter asked us if we wanted the bread after bringing the drinks, which we grabbed since we were famished. The drinks were a bit watered down but the margarita was sneaky! I felt that alcohol once I got home. With the food I ordered different items than I did at the EYE. Did you know chopped steak is literally chopped steak in a patty shape?! That paired with the sauces and mushrooms was literally breathtaking, I had to pause after a few bites. My sides were the creamed spinach and sweet potatoes which were equally satisfying. The service was average so the quality of food definitely bumped up the score! Oh, and the bathroom was extremely messy which impacted my score value. Always pricey as well which was expected!
