Probably the worst (except the waitress as she was ok) Longhorn Restuarant I've ever spent money at!! Ambiance was good but waitress was good. Although she forgot the lemons from the bar. The "new chef" was to blame. Left the the outer cover on the Brussel Spouts and they were green and coarse. Waitress didn't tell me an up charge for the sprouts. She didn't ask if I wanted more water - but I did. Steak was over seasoned - like it was seasoned twice and chef forgot!! - Wonder was drug he was on? Waitress did a fabulous job in getting our grandkids ordered correctly. - She got ok tip. The food was great and I had a pleasant experience. My major issue was I had (2) $25 gift cards. I used both but had the bartender leave my coke on the table so I could tip. I had about $15 left on the gift card. I went to another Darden chain restaurant today and come to find out they gave me the empty gift card back, not the one with the $15 on it. Came on a Wednesday around 6 pm and apparently for a table of 2 it was going to be about an hour wait. I think they were very short-staffed. We ended up sitting at the bar to order a meal and drinks. Service was slow but the bartender was super friendly and efficient. Steak and shrimp were good. Not the best but still edible and flavorful. Went to Longhorn for lunch today. The lunch was delicious and the price for lunch was even better. To get these meals for less than $10 each is incredible. My wife got the chicken sandwich and a bowl of Lobster and shrimp chowder . I got a salad and French Onion soup. The food was so good and the server was excellent. I really never complain or send food back but I had to comment on this occasion. First ... No prime rib on a Saturday @ 6? So I opted for the ribeye and asked for medium rare. The steak came very much or the rarer side. Ok no deal breaker yet. Started to enjoy and the steak was tough, stringy no flavor. I was really disappointed since the Ribeye cut is normally a nice cut. I tend to visit this location most often. My last visit was to use my birthday gift of a free dessert with an entrée purchase. I ordered the farm fresh field greens with grilled salmon salad and the cheesecake; the order came with complimentary bread. I ordered online and the order was brought to me on time. Walk in at 2pm. Literally only three tables active in the house. Nobody at the hostess stand wait literally 3 to 5 minutes the girl finally lazily walks up. Without so much as a hello ask for a table for one she said it'll be a 5 to 10 minute. Wait there's nobody in the restaurant. How are you waiting? There's 20 tables open. I said OK not interested. My husband and I sat at the bar today for dinner. We ordered our meals and drinks. While waiting for our meals we observed roaches crawling on and in the draft cooler. We continued to see the roaches and told the bartender that we wanted to cancel our order. We asked her to look and she did see and acknowledge the roaches. She then alerted the manager who said he could not come talk to us. Seeing multiple roaches crawling around is disgusting and to have a manager all but ignore the issue was troubling. I just got off the phone with Lonnie the manager at this location. My family and I were there for dinner this past Sunday. I informed him that on my bank page and additional $10 was added, He said he would research it. And he called me back and said that the $10 was refunded. That the waitress had done some incorrect math and gave herself an additional $10 tip on top of what I gave her. And that was pretty much it. So I guess it's OK for employees to add tips after the transaction is done with. I will not be returning to this location since they allow Their service to steal from their patrons. What do you think this guy Lonnie should've done instead of just saying we refunded you the $10 and we're sorry about what happened.. What happened was extremely serious if I wouldn't have noticed the additional $10 was added to my bill after it was closed off. Very disappointed. They were completely out of ALL red wines. We ordered an order of brussel sprouts (their special on the menu) and they told us they were out when they brought the meal, so no side. My loaded baked potato had very little toppings. The waitress had no clue what the other special was or what could come with it. We spoke with the manager, and he explained all these issues were things out of their control. He did offer me more toppings for the potato. We made the grave mistake of eating from this location again since we complained about our last order; we were given a gift card for as reimbursement. My husband ordered a simple burger that was supposed to be medium. It was RAW! My steak was so so as usual. Of all of the Longhorn Steakhouses we have visited, this one is among the worst. Wife had a medical appointment and after that, we went to another restaurant that we frequent that turned out to be closed because of a planned closure we did not know about. Got on Independence Blvd and went to another restaurant and it was totally closed forever. Not just a planned closure. Went another couple of miles further and saw the sign for LongHorn which we had dined at several years ago so gave it a shot. Big mistake. Totally ignored. Probably between 4 and 5 pm and almost deserted. Could not get someone to seat us. I will say, the White Mushroom Appetizer which is one of our favorites was good. My wife ordered the Flo's Filet which it showed up was cold and very tough. I had a Prime Rib Sandwich which was decent at best. Had been a number of years since we dined here because we had moved but do not recommend. Quality of the food with the exception of the appetizes was poor. Service was mediocre and since LongHorn Restaurants use the same overall footprint, what can I say. read more

Went in for an easy dinner. Started with the $6 Margaritas. Basically water with margarita mix stores in and poured into a salted rim glass. Ordered the Texas Blossoms for appetizer. They were heavily breaded and salty, not good. For entrees we ordered the Ribeye meal, Half rack ribs meal, and the Salmon w/shrimp meal. Asked for a Medium steak but received well done and had to wait for them to prepare a new steak. It was over seasoned and had a weird flavor not sure if meat was going bad but again not good. Salmon over rice with potato and fried shrimp was decent but again overly seasoned. The ribs were at least fall off the bone tender. THE OVERALL THEME OF OUR MEAL WAS SALTY. Until, I asked for an order of bread with my salad that didn't come until my entree came and sat for 15 minutes before it arrived (after we flagged our server down & asked again). Initially, we asked 2 people including our server for said bread & apparently they both assumed the other would do it. My table NEVER received drink refills and my entree was flavorless to the point I didn't finish it. We initially ordered drinks from the bar the first time we saw our server & would've been eager to get another and dessert at the end had she actually came back. I would like to note that the restaurant was not packed out but even if it was, that's not how you treat a customer. For an almost $100 tab just to leave thirsty & hungry, I will NOT be back. I would also like to include that there is a QR code on the table for a quicker mobile pay. Social distancing and masks are a must. Last night we had take out at Longhorn. It was a decent crowd dining, but we didn't dine in. The food wasn't hot, but It was warm. My husband and son heated their food up at the hotel. I had a salad with well done salmon. My husband and son had steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. One had well done and the other had medium well. Stopped by this location on our way home from Charlotte airport. It's Longhorn so I don't expect 5 star dining but at one time this was a decent chain. We were seated quickly and the server was polite albeit rushed. The ambiance was typical of Longhorn chains and unremarkable good or bad. The food was served quickly but missing the salad I ordered. That really wasn't a big deal and the server was quick to bring out the salad but when he immediately offered up a discount (which I didn't need or request) I should have known something was up. The food.... that's the problem. The baked potato was served hard and cold. The steak (ribeye) had little to no marbling and was tough as shoe leather. The steak was undercooked but edible since I am OK with medium rare to rare steaks. I did remark on the potato and the server quickly brought me a replacement (also cold) potato. I ended up not eating either of them but did package them up so I could heat them properly and eat them later.... I mean really, it's a potato- it doesn't get any easier or basic than that. In short- if you're looking for steak "fast food" and are looking for speed over quality then this is a decent option. If you're looking for quality relative to price, go to Texas Roadhouse. read more

Much better experience this time! They are doing a great job considering the staffing shortage and we were originally told 25-30min wait, but they sat our Party of five in under 15mins. Meal was great and kudos to the staff for still providing great service even though you could tell they were short-staffed and stressed; our waitress was great and attentive even tho she, along w/the others were running around like crazy to accommodate everyone. They were also still following sanitation and safety protocols, which my parents who had not been to a restaurant since last March, greatly appreciated as they were very nervous for this first outing. We came in on a Sunday afternoon. The service was terrible with plenty of open space the host tired to seat us by the bathroom and then waited 25 mins in the half empty restaurant to never have the server come to our table. The server of the section walked past our table 4 times and didn't even acknowledge us. We decided to sit at the empty bar where they helped us. Bartender was great however I asked for my steak to be medium well it came out medium almost medium rare and the mash potatoes were ice cold. We didn't have a good experience or enjoy our food today. Joe was our server, first of all we sat next to a couple that sounded like he was gagging and clearing yuck in his throat the entire time. Joe never came back to check on us to see we needed anything and lied about the food servings. We ordered salmon dinners. He said they came with rice and salad which we were fine with. He then said we would also get an additional side. After telling the other sides I committed that was a lot of food.He then said I could take what I didn't eat home. I love longhorn, this location especially, lately though I've tried giving it another chance after being upset/disappointed with the food the last two times, but I've been completely disappointed. This past visit was my last visit. I get the same thing every time a fillet medium well with brussels sprouts and a side of loaded mashed potatoes. The only thing on my plate that was good was the brussels sprouts. My steak was undercooked also tasted super charred like the grill needed to be cleaned. My loaded mashed potatoes were barely loaded, the cheese wasn't melted. I got Parmesan crusted on top of my steak and that tasted like old just nasty cheese never what it's usually tasted like. I was just very disappointed. I didn't even eat my food because the steak was so bland, undercooked, bloody & nasty so I definitely wasted my money. But I say all this to say I do feel like this location is getting worse and worse and I do hope that they get better before it gets to the point of no return. read more

The Manager had a Passat attitude and Sid to me "other people have no problem sitting in the bar". Why do I want to sit in a bar with my child??? Really?????? It does not need to be expensive to have a better selection. The server was very nice but needed additional training. Gave us a to go box that was too small for my steak. He should have seen what he needed up front. Asked if we wanted dessert, I said maybe but he did not bring us a menu to see what desserts were offered. Next thing you know he brought us a check. Lastly, it was very warm out and warm inside. I was too hot to finish my meal. The app on my phone said it was 78° inside. The booth was so large that I had to move forward in my seat just to get close to the table. Not very comfortable seating. I had to stop eating in order to lean back in the booth. Went here for the first time in years with my dad and husband. We were seated right away and thought the decor was cute because it was very western themed. I signed up for their email club and rewards club. The email club gets you a free appetizer. We ordered wings and the restaurant serves complimentary bread. The wings were delicious. They come out salt and peppered and well seasoned. There is buffalo sauce and your choice of dressing on the side. For entrees we got a bone in ribeye, and two filets. The steaks were all cooked perfectly and were really delicious. I got a sweet potato side and the boys got potatoes. They come loaded for no extra cost. The side salads are a very nice portion.
