Holy seasoning on my steak! All I could taste was salt and spice. Disgusting for a steak. I ordered a med rare ribeye, and it was well done.

This was my first and MY LAST!! That was the worst experience I have ever had. My waiter, named Zach, came to my table 4 times in 2 hours. I ordered food to go and it took over 30 minutes to get it and then they were missing half of the order. There were several other tables complaining about the server as well. Restaurant looked very clean, lights were dimmer and they were able to accommodate our big party of 13 smoothly (this is a plus compared to other restaurants). Their bread and butter was good. For our appetizer, the Tonions were a bit cold but the Firecracker wraps were enjoyable. My peach sangria was very refreshing. My longhorn steak was not how I wanted it to be. I requested it to be medium well but it came almost well-done, dry and almost tough. The Mac and cheese was good, wished it was more cheesy. My husband had the 12-count redrock grilled shrimp and it was grilled to perfection. The lava cake for our dessert was decadent. Our server, Conrad was really good. This is our go-to for a good reasonably priced steak dinner although this particular visit was to celebrate our anniversary. Service since covid has been hit-miss - including the most recent. Our server, Lori, seemed pretty much to do the bare minimum. And when we asked for some ground pepper for our salad it seemed to annoy her and put her out and it went downhill from there. Someone else brought our dinners and just as we thought Lori was never coming back - surprise...she appeared with our check. Sadly not once did she check in or ask about our dinners. Although she did walk by regularly - we unluckily were seated right by the kitchen door and LOTs of traffic and noise and even some dropped/broken dishes. Our party of 8 came here to celebrate a college graduate. No complaints from anyone. 2 had parmesean chicken and loved it. 2 had steak and shrimp. So good. The other 4 had the 6 oz sirloin. Tender, cooked perfectly. They salad is big fur a "side". Had cucumbers, cheese, tomatoes, great dressing. Got the onion appetizer and shared among 8 of us. Got the huge chocolate dessert. 8 of us couldn't finish it after eating our meal. We aren't huge eaters, but we all went home very full and took some leftovers home. The burger itself was classic, a thick, perfectly cooked patty with melty cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion between a soft but not soggy bun. The raw onion was a bit overwhelming so after one bite I pulled it out. The burger was no frills but delicious and satisfying none the less. Now for the drinks - Margarita : A+, good flavor and alcohol to mix ratio Mule: B, it was okay Longhorn Old Fashioned: A+ best drink we tried, strength was perfect and overall delicious. That being said my burger, although it definitely was over cooked and not to medium temp as I asked, was juicy and flavorful. There was no pink in the middle but it wasn't dry. It said half pound burger...and it was. I could not finish it. I also got the Brussel sprouts. They needed some more of the honey dressing to give them some more flavor. Hands down one of the best cooked steaks in SLC. You get exactly what you order with meat temperature. I love my ribeyes medium rare and the grill masters work their magic every time with the perfect sear and nice red in the middle. It was a little bloody when I cut into it, but it just wasn't fully rested. Still delicious! The grill masters season their steak so well that you don't need extra sauces (A1) to drown the steak into. Heaven! Our party of 6 must've got the new guy or something because he was struggling a little bit. Everyone got their food, but it would've been faster to grab your own drinks at the bar. It's pretty hectic on a Thursday evening and unfortunately, Longhorn doesn't take reservations. You can call ahead to save your spot in line before you come to the restaurant. Food was fair. I ordered a cheeseburger medium well and received a medium rare burger. The service was horrible. The food was dropped off and we never saw our waiter after that. We needed refills on our drinks and never got any. We waited for 15 minutes for our check and never got it. I walked to the front of the restaurant and told the hostess that we never received our check and were ignored. The hostess went to the manger, and they ran our credit card. You would think the manager would take an interest in a customer who was really pissed off. But no never seen anyone. The hostess told us that she was just transferred from Idaho to help the problems the restaurant is having. There are much better steak house chains in town. Stay away from here. read more

N then when i finally got my food & stuff it was just all a let down. the only thing i can say that was great was the service. My waiter (Andy. Q) i believe that was his name. Was great! Their response has nothing to do with the content of this review. I will not waste my time contacting them as they do not actually care about my opinion. I am also changing my star rating from 2 to 1. As you can see, you and your opinion literally do not matter. No one is actually listening. I leave it to the reader to make their own decision as to whether they want to support a business that has little or no regard for their customers. What kind of business do YOU want to support? --- If you look, you will see two other reviews I've done for this location. You will also notice that I received a message on the second review from the company inviting me to talk more about my experience, if I wanted. This review is for that experience with the franchise who owns this Darden restaurant. If a company reaches out, I will generally reach back with the assumption that there is a genuine desire to hear more and I want every company to succeed and if my feedback will be useful, I will give it. Unfortunately, there was no actual effort to have an exchange, and instead I was given a gift certificate, which I have not used at this point (it has been a few months). Perhaps I never will. I like to highlight the best places, the best customer service, etc. That's my favorite thing to do. I hate making bad reviews, but I do it when I feel the experience was really that bad with the hope that there will be improvement or that it is a company which should be avoided because of bad practices overall. I do not like my time being wasted. When you talk with several people, or fill out emails, with the idea that someone will get back to you to talk about the experience (like having an area to give your phone number so someone can call you), that is what you expect; not a form email with a gift certificate. If you're going to try and placate someone with free food, at least pretend you want my opinion when you ask for it. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because there was an effort to give back, but the intention to never actually get more information about my experience should have been made clear when I reached out. Customer service is my primary focus and always the very first thing I look for, and this experience was highly disappointing. So 2 stars for the people who own this franchise. You at least tried to give back, but your method needs to be improved. Not every person who complains just wants something for free. In fact, those who are highly proficient in customer service generally understand that allowing the consumer to feel heard will go a longer way than anything they get for free. Once the consumer is heard (with the understanding that we are not talking about the small subset who just want free things), then you give them something for free just to seal the experience, if you feel the need. I would have liked to have given the chance to give more feedback and then would have happily accepted the gift certificate to try again down the road to see if I could write an updated review that was more positive. The customer service problem in this restaurant seems to be far deeper than just the restaurant itself. Met up for dinner last night and chose long horn steakhouse. I got seated right away, which was pretty awesome. However, I was not greeted for quite some time. On top of that, it was pretty slow throughout the visit. I got a Texas Margarita but I'd be lying if I say I don't regret not getting one of the other margaritas. For my dinner, I got the ribeye with fries and a Caesar salad. The salad was really good! The steak was cooked alright. The fries were wet, I think because of the oil. I got a side of ranch on the side too and the ranch was good! Overall, I have definitely had better in many ways. I've had faster service for sure. But still, a good dinner. read more
