I do like my steak. Longhorn satisfies my craving for a cooked-to-perfection steak. I am somewhat stuck in a rut with their bone-in ribeye. It's a nice-sized cut and always tender. A ribeye steak is cut from the prime rib section. So you can have prime rib, but cooked on a grill. Over my many visits, they always have one of the coldest salads, so fresh and tasty. I have moved on from baked potatoes, and I usually get their steamed vegetables. I like their broccoli. I sometimes order the Brussels sprouts. I have to remember to ask for the sprouts not to be glazed. I have had only one incident of bad service, and I have since learned never to sit in the bar area. The bartenders are too busy to be your server. Like all Texas-themed steakhouses, it has the usual cowboy decor. read more

To say I was disappointed by my experience at LongHorn Steakhouse on Saturday night would be an understatement. After many months of cancer treatment, I'm finally starting to feel well enough to enjoy a nice meal, and I was looking forward to having a quality steak. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. After taking a bite, I realized it had seasoning on it. This was partially my mistake, as I had forgotten to request no seasoning when ordering. When the server returned, I acknowledged my error and politely asked if a new steak could be prepared without seasoning. I even offered to pay for the original steak since the mistake was mine. However, when the replacement steak arrived, it was significantly overcooked. At that point, I was unable to enjoy my meal at all. What made the experience even more disappointing was that the manager never stopped by our table to check on the situation or see if anything could be done to make it right. I wasn't going to go searching for a manager while trying to enjoy what was supposed to be a special night out, so I simply left disappointed. Given the quality of the food and the lack of management involvement, I can only give this experience 1 star. read more

Our recent meal at Longhorn steakhouse was enjoyable and we both agreed that four and a half stars would be just right. The meal was great, our server was excellent and everything was cooked to our liking. The only thing was, we both ordered steak, medium and medium rare and both cuts were a bit on the tough side. Besides that, the meal was very good, the starter loaf of fresh bread with butter was delicious. My salad was crisp and fresh and the sides were cooked just right. It's been awhile since we had a meal at a Longhorn Steakhouse and I'd forgotten how flavorful their steaks are. In addition to steak, they offer a variety of chicken, fish and rib dishes. I was looking at their dinner salads and was tempted to order one, next time for sure. Of course, the steaks are the main thing and they do a very good job overall. This restaurant knows how to flavor up steaks! Another plus is the good parking and location. Longhorn serves up quality food and the price is reasonable. We ordered soup, received our salad first, only got two bites of salad ate when they brought our soup, maybe three teaspoons of soup was eaten and our entree was delivered. My husband's vegetables were cold so they gave him new ones. It wasn't very busy so we don't know what was the big hurry to serve the food. We were able to join the waitlist online which I always like. Upon arrival we were sat quickly at a booth in the bar area. The atmosphere was nice as the bar wasn't too busy and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice. Up charged to the potato soup as a side and it was decent. Definitely had a bacon flavor but overall is good. Both ordered the 9oz filet medium well and they were drastically different in color, mine being undercooked and his overcooked. It was still a good flavor though. For sides the broccoli was good, mashed potatoes were pretty good and the loaded baked potato was also good. I dined here tonight and while the food was decent, the service was disappointing. The staff looked completely exhausted, which reflected in their performance. They moved sluggishly, forgot parts of my order, and seemed generally uninterested in providing good service. I understand that working in the food industry can be tiring, but it was clear that either management is overworking them or they're understaffed. I like this chain and this location in particular. The atmosphere, food, and value are spot on. In general the service is good also. That said, the same issue occurred that I experienced a month ago. It is a real challenge to get the bill and then pay. Not sure why that is the case. Annoying 10 minute delay. I sit at the bar so it shouldn't be that big of a challenge. I haven't been to a Longhorn Steakhouse in over a year because the quality of the steaks drastically changed. . The steaks became smaller and fattier while the prices became higher and higher, not a good combination for me. I decided to give it a try since it's been awhile. When we arrived ,we were immediately greeted and sat. right away. The inside is decorated in a Western theme with a casual atmosphere which is pretty cool. Jojo was our server and she did a great job taking care of us tonight. I started out with the dry rub wings for an appetizer and they were pretty good. Wood have liked a little more dry rub seasoning on them but overall pretty good. For dinner, I ordered the 18oz Outlaw Ribeye and was surprisingly impressed with it. It was perfectly seared with nice grill marks, big cut and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The steak was super flavorful and was very impressed as I was quite disappointed in my prior visits as stated above. Over all great service tonight and Jojo was excellent. She was knowledgeable of the menu and made sure our drinks were filled. They also have WiFi and a kids menu with plenty of parking outside. Longhorn Steakhouse was a very strange experience. On the outside, Longhorn looks like higher end steakhouse. But when you walk in, the place looks old, worn down and decor very out of date. I know that Longhorn promotes themselves as a 'casual' steakhouse, but I wasn't expecting to see people in track pants and ball caps. But here's the thing... the food was excellent, and so was the service. Also, the pricing is not cheap, especially if you want prime rib or the filet. So there seems to be this confusion as to what kind of restaurant they want to be. They basically provide higher end food, expensive pricing... but with a run down, casual environment. Again, very strange. The menu is also matches this mixed environment. Not only do they offer the high end expensive cuts of meat, but they also offer burgers, sandwiches and other items at more reasonable pricing. They also have an excellent selection of fun appetizers that other higher end steakhouses wouldn't offer. Will I go back? I don't know... I like both casual and higher end restaurants. For a franchise steakhouse amongst a lot of competition, Longhorn does not drop the ball. I had a wonderful dinner, great service and all at a decent price. Sure there are better steakhouses nearby, but you'll pay for the upgrade. This place does an excellent job of delivering great, premium-tasting, well-cooked steaks. I got the ribeye and it was very yummy. I asked for asparagus as a side and paid extra but I have to admit the asparagus was squishy and bit flavorless. Steamed for too long is my guess. We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and let me just say, ORDER IT!!! So so good, I wanted the recipe! Haha My lovely date ordered a filet and shrimp combo that looked extremely delicious and upon receiving a small portion it tasted as good as it looked.
