Yesterday I went got the Longhorn Steak house located at 9769 Roosevelt Blvd Philadelphia, PA 19114. I went there with six of my family members to celebrate my niece's high school graduation also the passing of my mother. We went around 8 PM and we were told that there was a wait for 45 minutes. We didn't get seated until almost 930. When we sat down, we were not given menus, I chalked it up to maybe our waiter being overwhelmed. She asked us what we wanted to drink, and it was hard to make a decision because we never were given menus. So after we figured out what our drinks were without menus, she then asked us if we knew we wanted to eat and that's when I pointed out to her like hey you never gave us menus. She took our drink orders and went to walk away, and I had to remind her that she never offered us water. I'm not trying to be difficult, but the service started out terribly. She brought back our water and took our appetizer order. We waited around 20 minutes for the appetizer to come out, a little long but that was fine. Our drinks took about 30 minutes. I ordered the dragon fruit. Margarita and she brought it out in a regular Tumbler, no sugar on the rim liked I ordered, and instead of the big margarita glass! She came back to deliver the appetizers and finally take our order. And then we waited for our food until after 10:30 PM! It finally made it to our table around 10:33pm! Our food arrived AFTER the restaurant closed! We did not realize that the restaurant was closed until we got up in the staff was cleaning up around us and were the last ones there! Myself, my niece, my sister, and my brother-in-law all ordered steak dinners. My brother-in-law was the ONLY ONE who ordered a well-done steak. My sister, me, and my niece all ordered MEDIUM WELL steaks. When my food finally was delivered, my broccoli, mashed potatoes, my rice pilaf, and shrimp were all cold to lukewarm. I had also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese as an appetizer to go with my meal and it also had gotten ice cold waiting for the rest of the food to come. My steak was the only thing that was piping hot, but when I cut into it, it was WELL DONE, COMPLETELY BROWN ALL THE WAY THROUGH. I looked around the table and I asked everyone who had steak if I could see their steak to compare. Everyone's was medium well, INCLUDING my brother-in-law who SPECIFICALLY asked for an extra well-done steak! His steak was blush pink in the middle. When the waiter finally came back, because, honestly? after our food was delivered, she never checked on us again, I told her hey I ordered a medium well steak and I showed her and she said wow, that's clearly well done. She said I'm gonna go get a small plate and she came back and took the steak, I never ate it. She came back with my well done steak and said I'm gonna get my manager so that he can figure out what to do. The manager comes back and he's holding up the piece of well done steak on the plate and he says, "unfortunately our kitchen is closed now and there's no way that we can remake the steak" and then he nonchalantly asked me "did I just wanna try to eat it"... This was the most unprofessional response that I have ever heard of in response to a miscooked meal! Just terrible! I told him that I've been waiting for well over an hour for my food to even come out. We waited an hour and a half to even be seated, and when we finally get our food, my food is the only food that's incorrect and you're asking me to just eat it!? I told him no I didn't "wanna just try to eat it". So he told me no worries and that he would take the meal off. That meal was about $24. I ordered the 6 ounce steak dinner with the shrimp skewers INCLUDED IN THE MEAL! When we got the check the $24 was taken off, but then he ADDED shrimp skewers and tried to charge me almost $16 for just the shrimp! As if they were an addition to the meal! At this point, I'm extremely angry because we waited an hour and a half to be seated. Our food took an hour to even come out, we were there after hours, and when it did come out, my food was incorrectly cooked and cold, and then after telling me that he was going to take the whole meal off He tried to re-charge me $16 as if the shrimp were an add-on, trying to still get money out of the deal after saying that he was going to accommodate me by taking the the meal off?!! This is unacceptable behavior. I'm not sure what can be done to rectify this situation but this was such a terrible experience. I was just trying to celebrate both my neice and my mother's passing and just had a terrible night at this establishment! read more

Incredibly disappointing!! First at pick up after waiting almost 10 mins, I pick up my phone to call when my food comes out. I drive 3 blocks home and my burger isn't even warm!! AND it is NOT a 1 pound burger for $17.00 (more like a 1/4 pounder!!). The Strawberry salad was also disappointing with a bowl full of romaine vs spring salad they used to use, 3 strawberries hardly constitutes a strawberry salad! If I could I would give no stars. Its not even because of the servers or anything like that. The food is mid at best. But the real issue is that they have a dish washer in the back that touches young girls. He treats them extremely disgusting and inappropriate. Mind you guys they have been made aware of this and many young GIRLS explained their experience but nothing has been done. Also the host girls are extremely overworked, working 11 hour shifts while under the age of 18 with no break. After a day of shopping, we decided to have a late lunch/early dinner here and were happy we did! We really enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, and fresh bread is always so yummy! I typically receive good food/service when I've visited LongHorn in the past and this day I didn't think I'd have any issues. We were greeted and immediately seated and our server Sarah soon came over to greet us and take our drink orders. She was very patient, attentive, and friendly. Ordered were placed, received our bread, then appetizers and then our meal. I asked for my steak to be medium well and instead received a very well done steak. So much so that the other side of the steak (part that was plate down) was burnt and the part that was plate up was burnt as well but not that bad. I was eating charred meat. Informed our server who was very apologetic and said I could send it back (something I don't like to do at all and didn't). She took my plate and soon returned and said she took my entire meal off the bill. I was thankful for her support and made sure she got a lil extra tip on top of the 20%. Everything else with our meal was good and tasty. Oh the one thing I didn't care for was the French Onion soup. The cheese on top was super chewy. This is me and hubby's very first time to a Longhorn Steakhouse. Neither of us were too much of a "steak person" in the past, so it never crossed our minds of dinning here. But ever since of our visits to Outback, we decided to give Longhorn a try. And it definitely didn't disappoint. Even though Philly's indoor dinning maximum capacity is around 25%, we were seated immediately upon entry. Our waitress Diana came shortly after and took our drinks. She also informed us of some out-of-stock menu items, which is definitely a plus. We started with the Wild West Shrimps, which we didn't like too much. We also order a White Peach Sangria, it is ohhhh-so-fruity, we love it! As for entrees, hubby order the extra well done filet with lobster tail with grilled shrimps added. Nice seating, the servers are nice, and the food comes out in a timely manner. The bread is pretty good, amazing when paired with their butter. The ribs are great! They melt off the bone paired with a great smokey sweet bbq sauce. The steak was pretty good, well seasoned and tender. The only issue is the cook. We asked for a medium, but the cook was mainly medium rare but some parts being closer to rare. The brussel sprouts are the bomb. Crispy well seasoned with honey drizzle. Overall a pretty good place! Although this is considered a chain restaurant- I love it! Every time I go I am greeted by friendly staff and I am seated right away. If there is a wait, it's no more than 30 minutes before you are seated. There's always some sort of combo deal or special going on which is also a plus to coming here. I love the bread that they give you and it always comes out hot and fresh. On this visit I had a gift card to spend and decided to treat my niece. There was a special running and I ended up getting a salad with a steak and a side of mash potatoes. My niece got the chicken fingers because she's not a steak fan like me. The steak was good to perfection and was seasoned well, and the mash mixes pleasantly with the steak. The Caesar salad was a nice size portion and had a good taste but the only thing they need to change is the crouton- every time I get the croutons they are this cheap tasting ones that have no flavor and sometimes they are stale. I like a good crouton on top of my salad. Overall my experience here was a good one, since the food hit the spot and I had good company. read more

I don't eat steak often and the types of cuts confuse me so I like how Longhorns menu breaks them down. I've been to this location several times and have always gotten a consistently good steak that is cooked the way I like. I had a sirloin and rib combo. The ribs were fantastic. The sirloin was perfectly tender but after tasting my moms ny strip I would chose that cut from now on because the flavor was far more superior. The only two slightly negatives during my visit was the wait time. It was clearly crowded still my party of three was told 20 minutes. It took an hour. And our server was a bit abrupt and cold at first but she mellowed out. I'm sure it was the hectic pace they were working at so we didn't let it effect our mood. Came here for a curbside pickup tonight very disappointed the steak was chewy and the Caesar salad came with no dressing cheese or croutons and the soup was disgusting. Total waste of money . I usually come here and it is good not sure what happen tonight. My husband also ordered a ribeye but it looked like a sirloin steak and not a ribeye and it was fatty. I stopped here last Sunday for a birthday dinner with a group of 11 people. We made a reservation in advance but still had to wait nearly 30 minutes for them to "get the table ready". We were seated at a combo of one round table and one rectangular table-needless to say this was an awkward arrangement. Service: the waitress seemed to try her best but was overwhelmed. The whole ordering and serving process took entirely too long. There were 10-30 minutes gaps between each course which made this a very long and drawn out experience. Food: The food itself was ok. I ordered the 3 course meal for $12.95 which included salad, an entrée and your choice of a dessert or appetizer. I got the Caesar salad which was very bland and was literally lettuce with mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top. For my entrée I opted to pay a few more dollars for the 8oz steak but I believe they mixed up the order when they were delivered to the table because my steak looked the same as those who ordered the 6oz. This was my first time visiting a Longhorn Steakhouse and I was not impressed. Our Waiter was very not attentive, rude, and overall he was all over the place. When we were ready to order we asked him simple questions like what sides are included with our dishes etc. and he kept making faces and saying "just the regular stuff you know.." he was not being helpful at all. When he brought our drinks out it was dripping and spilling all over the table and somehow we only got three coasters and three plates although we were four people. The Nachos were good, however very small in size. I got the Salmon and veggies they were pretty good in taste but the salmon was overcooked and hard. My boyfriend got a burger and fries; his burger was also really overcooked and hard. Our friend got Filet Mignon and he said it was prepared to perfection. Other friend got Chicken and Sweet Potato which was really bad in taste.. apparently the spicy chicken was sweet and the sweet potato had sugar sprinkled all over. First I'd like to say that the servers are great and very friendly. The food is good too.. it's a hit or miss with their steaks but it's still worthy. Here comes the CONS.. I absolutely dislike the Manager at this location. Why?? My steak was undercooked although I asked for medium rare. The friendly waitress accommodated me by asking if I wanted it cooked more or another steak.. I chose another steak preparation. The manager comes over and suggests to cook it more in a "pushy" manner oh and he has a very Spicy Ru Paul Drag race demeanor ... god awful. When I said I wanted a new steak he got an attitude (body language ) walked away and that was that. This is the second encounter with this asshole.. the first.. was two years ago when there was hair in my boyfriends steak and the manger acted as if he didn't want to give him another steak!! As if we PUT the hair in there!! We asked for another steak and he just looked at us .. I will not return to this location.. please find new management .. because your current one has a serious attitude problem and doesn't want to help customers. Terrible experience. Our hostess sat us at a table with popcorn on the floor at our feet and right next to the kitchen, even though their were plenty of tables to pick from. We could live with that.... Then after we ordered and had our bread and appetizer, the gnats showed up. Spent the next 5 minutes swatting them away until our server came back, and we asked to move tables. We did, and things got better, but I was already irritated and was ordering about 100.00 worth of food and drink for 2 people so I asked for the manager. The manager, I think was about ready to return to school, didn't seem at all interested, almost seemed annoyed and though he apologized, that was it. Hubby and I had a delicious steak dinner today. Service was very good. While we were there, two women and a man came in. The one woman was holding a small Maltese dog. They were seated and served. I love dogs and I think dog friendly restaurants are fine provided they have outdoor seating. I know of such a Longhorn in Florida. I don't believe this small dog was a service dog, but perhaps an emotional support dog. I don't know. I guess this bothers me because I think some people are taking advantage of the whole service dog thing. A service dog is trained to help the owner as necessary. I know anyone can purchase a vest for their dog that says service dog, but they may not really be a trained service dog. I think this behavior can only hurt the true service dogs. read more

And when I finished, I saw someone broke my lock handle in driver side of my car. They steal my expired ID and my debit card and some of my stuffs. Unbelievable!!! It was Saturday night and it was 9:30 with a lot of car park over there (there was a busy night). I reported with the police already but I am still worrying because they can follow up my address and would damage my home when I go to work. True rating is 3.5 stars. Let's start with the positives. We were sat promptly , greeted and had our orders placed in a very reasonable time. Our server was fairly tentative and on the ball. Everything came in proper order (bread, appetizer, salad , then main course) and in a fairly short period of time. That was very pleasant. I hate waiting when I'm starving lol. And now for the not so good. The food was hot and pretty tasty but hardly memorable. Also the price was up there with some "fine dining" establishments. About 80$ for two. The level of quality seems to miss the mark even though the meal was more than edible. I would return but I wouldn't get another $30 ribeye from here. The honey wheat bread was delicious! read more
