Longhorn certainly has gone downhill recently. Darden has not been good for this restaurant. The restrooms were both dirty. Paper everywhere and sticky floors in the ladies room. The vanity was also in need of cleaning. Ordered the fried green tomatoes. Obviously pre-made, frozen and then thrown into the fryer. They were thick and heavily breaded. Not good. We sent them back. I had the flatiron steak which was fine. My husband had steak and lobster with baked potato. The potato was cold so he asked for one that was hot. Second potato came out - cold again. The butter never melted. The server should have made sure it came out hit the second time. No manager ever came by. Very disappointing. read more

Put in order at 11:38. At 12:10 it was supposed to be ready. I got there at 12:05 waiting for text. Never received a text. Called at 12:20. Lady came out and asked for name on order and went back in. While visiting Savannah, we stopped at the Longhorn's in Pooler. We were seated rather quickly, but the wait time between ordering our meal and actually getting our meal was about 45 -50 minutes. I could understand if there was a large crowd there but it wasn't. My food was wrong, I ordered the 6 oz filet cooked medium well, but I got a well done filet with a lobster tail. My husband's and children's food was correct. The good thing is that the waitress did take off my meal, so we didn't get charged for that. I may give it another chance next time I am in the pooler/ Savannah area to see if it was just a bad day. read more

Ordered curbside service yesterday! I will say they should do away with it because they NEVER answer the phone and I always have to go in but the food itself was DELICIOUS! I have the Parmesan crusted chicken with the loaded baked potato! I also had the spicy chicken bites which are definitely a hidden treasure! My boyfriend had the six ounce sirloin with the Parmesan crust and mashed potatoes and he REALLY enjoyed it. We like longhorn a lot and last night was just extremely fresh and tasty. read more

I'm sorry but this place it's the pits. Every item was jacked up; all one tasteless, pointless experience. Why are they still open? Seriously why? I've never been to a LongHorn before but some how this place figured out how to buy a steak that chewed like wet rubber. For real, how are they in business? We ordered Mango margaritas that were like a weak juice box. All in all this experience was a real waste of time and money. Don't do this to yourself. We've been visiting Savanah for a few days and tonight we just picked something close to the hotel where we are staying. Huge mistake. This city/area has too many excellent options to even consider this establishment for a drink or an appetizer let alone a full meal. read more

Where do I start? I traveled to Pooler, Ga over the Memorial Day weekend. On Memorial Day, I took my Grandmother who lives in that area out to eat to her favorite place LongHorn. We both ordered the Salmon and my daughter ordered the Ribs. Let's just say the presentation when we received it, was not that great to start. A very small amount of rice scattered on one side of the plate, and neither one of our meals were hot, or warm for that matter. We all ended up getting to go boxes, until I discovered what I thought was a fruit fly on my plate but as I look closer I noticed it was aN ACTUAL ROACH. I could not believe what I was seeing. I informed the waitress who came back to the table to return my credit card after I paid for this horrible food! She didn't look surprised at all! She notified her Manager who came to our table and explained that they just had extermination and that the store was noted as clean and clear of pest. We immediately left the restaurant- the Manager ran outside as we were backing away and informed us that if we lived in the area, he could give us coupons-my Grandmother vowed She WAS NEVER going back there to eat, and the Manager summed it up with, I don't blame you Ma'am. To think here I am a Veteran on Memorial Day; disgusted by this restaurant!! No customer should ever have to experience A ROACH or any pest on their plate or anywhere inside a restaurant! Wow, I was surprised how many things could go wrong in one meal. It started off happening slowly, but it picked up steam and before long the entire train had run off the tracks. First, we were taken to a dirty table. No big deal. After a few minutes at the table, we realized that the globe for the lamp at the table had fallen down and was sitting on the table, leaving the light to blind us if we glanced that way. I unscrewed the bulb with my napkin. Our server recommended something not on the menu, so I ordered it. Our salads arrived quickly, but then the waiting began. It was over 30 minutes before our entrees arrived, and mine was covered with tomatoes. I hate tomatoes, and the server never mentioned them. After waiting over five minutes for our server to come check on us, I flagged down someone else and asked for a manager. It took 15 minutes for him to stop by. He listened and offered to make something else. Then the server brought the check. We had been at the restaurant for over an hour and half, I still hadn't eaten my meal, and they wanted us to pay. When the server came to get the payment, I told him we were not paying a dime. The manager came out and agreed to take everything off the bill. Sometimes things go wrong, and sometimes things go colossally wrong. But once I brought everything to their attention, they honestly tried to make it right. We've been to this longhorns many times. We were seated quickly. It wasnt busy. The steak this time, the flo, was delicious. Cooked perfectly, which is not always the case they were out of the fried pickles. This wasnt the 1st time they were out of food on the menu. It actually happened the last time we were there. They were out of 2 of the appetizers we ordered. The food came out very slow this time time and our waitress was a little less than accommodating. She would pass our table multiple times not make eye contact. I almost had to reach out for her to notice I was talking to her to get an update on how much longer for our food then as she walked away the stated "its coming". Now, both of my daughters are in the fast food business. I understand it's not always the waitress' fault when food comes out slow or wrong but I do know working in a business my self that serves people. All it takes is a little communication. Well I am sorry to say Kristin M failed here. I hope this post will help her realize. It doesnt take much. Just a few words. Good luck to Kristin in the future. When I asked how long the wait would be she responded as if I had just taken her only chance for happiness in her life. One hour was the response. I took my beeper headed over to Publix for some shopping and was back in about 45 minutes. Walked in and they seated us right away. Ordered the Flo's filet medium rare with backed potato on the side. My partner ordered the same with a add on lobster tail. Dinner came with a salad. The Caesar salad was over loaded with dressing to the point that the romaine was swimming in the dressing. The house salad had parts of the lettuce heart. No one wants to eat the bitter lettuce heart. Steaks were pretty good for a sirloin. The lobster was actually very good. Service was slow to keep a sweet tea and water glass supplied. Had to stop another server to get attention for a bottle of ketchup for my partners french fries. The food is much better than average. Its the staff and their indifference that left us feeling unappreciated. Mind you I never complained or even had a cross word or ugly tone for them. I recognize that restaurant wait staff can be a difficult job and some nights are just a long nightmare. Maybe this was one of those nights? Will try again, but not for a while. This was not the greatest experience ever at Longhorn. Wild West Shrimp are something I crave. Tonight, they were overdone and just meh. Speaking of overdone...my broccoli was mush, my fiancé's asparagus was stringy mush, his medium filet came out as a well sirloin, and his grilled shrimp were burnt on one side. The waitress was accommodating about getting us new veggies and the manager came by and called for an actual filet, cooked to medium. But he didn't seem empathetic or even apologetic about the mistakes. When the replacement steak came out, we cut into it and it was medium rare. This is a steakhouse, right? Shouldn't it be down to a science by now with this place? Replacement asparagus was good, but I suspect they just sat the broccoli outside in the steaming Georgia heat for a minute to cook it as it was practically raw. Two stars are for the fact that no complaints were had by future MIL and stepson of their meals. It's one thing if there are mistakes with the food, that's understandable, but poor management shows when no apologies are made about said mistakes or even an offer of a discount on the bill. (One star because we WERE seated promptly.) Having just moved here we thought we would try this place out. I don't always go by reviews as people tend to just vent and complain on here, but this time I should have listened. I can not comment on the food as we never ate here. Let me tell you why.... Upon opening the door to enter the restaurant the smell of disgustingly dirty carpet greeted us. I thought okay not good. Maybe it was just by the front door. We were promptly seated and the smell got worse! I'm not exaggerating here folks. It was so bad we couldn't imagine having to breath that and try to eat as well. We got up telling the waitress we had something come up and had to leave. Now being a restaurant owner myself I've got to say this is unacceptable, lazy and just gross. This is a steak place. People want to come in and smell yummy steaks, not smelly dirty carpet. Heed my advice and rip that carpet out and put in some nice flooring! For a $100 meal for 2, this place sucked. Chewing my steak was like chewing gum. My premium spinach side was barely warm. The chopped salad wasn't chopped. The margaritas are terrible. However, our server was pretty awesome, and so was the wine, hence the second star. Oh yeah, the asparagus was delish, too. And prebussing the table, forget about it. And my sautéed mushrooms never made it to the table, but they definitely made it to the check, but they fixed that. Oh well. So long Longhorn. read more

The customer that longhorn forgot I've got to say I'm pretty disappointed with the service that I received at Longhorn. Im not sure what happened between me walking in the door and being seated but it seemed that I was stuck with an invisible do not service sign. Granted it was Sunday afternoon (3:45), but for a restaurantwith 7 empty tables and more than 6 waiters and 2 hostesses, I  think things could have moved faster. I guess to the wait staff I had the look of someone who wasn't worth the effort because I was a single party compared to the pairs in the restaurant but still my money is just as green. After being seated, it took 10 minutes 3 secs (I timed it) for anyone to come by or take my drink order. Eventually the bartender (who clearly had his hands full) took pity on me and decided to bring a water and take my order. Funny enough I watched other parties (of 2 ) get serviced by the waiters and waitresses who buzzed passed me as if I wasn't sitting there. When my food finally did come out it was cold. I suspect from sitting too long because again I was the red headed step-customer that no waiter wanted. But during this time I watched an elderly couple come in be serviced after 1 minutes and 43 seconds and receive their food in under 20.  I'm not sure what a "worthy" customer looks like to The Pooler Longhorn staff but I guess I'm just not it. Safe to say I'll head somewhere else next time. read more

Wow! We really enjoyed this place! The wait was kind of long but not that bad for a Saturday night. We enjoyed the chop steak with loaded potatoes and an 11 oz ribeye with sweet potatoes. Both were cooked perfectly! We really appreciated our waiter. He was so polite an always brought us new drinks before we even realized we were about to need them, I'm pretty sure his name was Andrew. This place has become very horrible!!!!! I have been here over 50 times!!! This has become one of the worst places in Pooler.... So it's 10 p.m. they are cutting back staff everyone is cleaning up and no one is paying attention to the customers. Where do I start, first waitress takes the order leaves and someone else shows up. Then our new waitress shows up and we never see her again! !!# She comes back after we have sent my wife's steak back and waited for the steak and I for steak sauce. This was the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant in my entire life. I have traveled for 32 years, ate at restaurants all over the world and this rates as the worst ever. Dined here at least a dozen times now and have to say the food is rather inconsistent. The first few visits, I thought the steak was excellent. Primo, Then, a few visits later, the steak was NOT so good. I got the distinct impression that they changed meat suppliers, since the quality of the cuts were not as good as the first time I had visited. This restaurant ranks among my worst experiences ever. We had such an awesome experience at LongHorn in Roanoke, VA the week before, we intentionally sought out this place on our trip to FL. Huge mistake. I took way long than it should have considering the rush was over, it was 9:15PM. My wings, ordered as an entree, clearly sat out for quite a while. They were still luke warm, but the skin was mushy. The worst was my wife's meal. The chicken literally came out charred. The waitress offered to send it back, but I told her we didn't have another hour to wait on the chicken again. This seemed a clear sign that the check should be adjusted for the uneaten entree. NOPE, full price. I took a picture of the charred chicken AFTER we were done. Virtually uneaten because it was inedible. NEVER AGAIN. You have ruined LongHorn for me. read more

The hostesses could definitely improve on their customer service, but the worst part about our 10 minute experience was the smell of this restaurant. Couldn't give it a zero so I gave one. I've been with Darden for 9 years and have never ever treated or been treated the way this restaurant did. Between the staff that had no idea what they were doing, the host laying over the host stand complaining and making noises and then the server who in her defense was new so I don't blame her. We waited an hour to be sat because the dish pit was backed up as the host said so they couldn't clean tables, then we sit the server takes 15 min to get water and forgets one of the drinks we order our food. I asked for a medium steak it comes out rare. I try to eat a couple bites as we have just waited an hour and coming from 4 hours away out of town I didn't really want to wait for a another steak. The server saw the steak and I explained to her and she said just put a bunch of sauce on it and then you won't notice it's rare. ( interesting response) I then ask for the manager even though she should have gotten one after my steak came out that way. ( no issue is to small) the manger comes over sees the steak and removes it. The server forgot our boxes and drinks multiple times. I then get my check and try to pay with a gift card I got for Christmas but am confronted by another server who tells me I'm going to lose my job because I can not pay for this with a gift card because I got this gift card for a discount rate. I tell her someone gave me this for Christmas she processed to yell at me saying you can either pay with something else or I'm taking your discount off and I'm like I've worked for Darden 9 years I don't understand. She says I don't care you're stealing and I'm taking this card and taking off the discount( this is a server) i say please give me my card back and get up to find manager. When manager comes over I apologize saying I don't understand and I'm confused why am I being yelled at by another server. He then says that because I'm a manger I got a discount on that gift card. I'm not a manger. But no one even asked. I tell him I'm not a manager and I got this gift card for Christmas. He then says oh that's my fault I told them you were a manager so that's why she said all that to you. Again I'm just appalled and confused as to why this server would yell at me especially if she thinks I'm a manager. This whole thing was handled so unprofessional and just upsetting as I WOULD NEVER speak to someone the way I was spoke to and treated. I read the reviews before stopping here but thought I'd give it a chance and now I just have to remember to be more careful next time. read more

Well, I generally don't go to chain restaurants, but my wife wanted steak and I know that Longhorn usually has a decent product. So we gave it a shot. Our first second there was not the best one. We asked about the wait and as we put our name on the list, the hostess was fairly abrupt with my wife simply because my wife was saying our last name too fast for her. As an industry professional of 21 years the correct way to respond to that would be to ask the individual to slow down, not say "Hold up there!" In a rude manner. When we sat, service was ridiculously poor. Our server seemed to know very little about what was going on. Our first choice, the prime rib, was only available cooked Medium when we wanted Medium Rare because they didn't have enough. 7:30pm on a Friday night is usually the time you want to make sure that you have your popular items prepped and in stock. Next, our salads came out and we found ourselves looking everywhere for our server who had yet to bring us our bread while the other servers seemed to have no issues. Once our food came out, my wife's Medium Rare Filet was closer to Medium, but since we seemed to spend so much time in between seeing our server, she opted to just eat it, but not before asking for A1. This is what prompted me to place a review. I watched for 10 minutes as our server went from table to table, walked back to print checks and went to other tables while my wife's steak got cold. Then when she finally came back empty handed to check on us, she looked at my wife, puzzled as to why she hadn't touched her steak because she had completely forgotten her sauce. I don't know if it's poor service in general, too large of sections for the servers to handle, or if we just got a poor server, but this was not a good experience. read more

Overall the quality of the cleanliness of the restaurant was amazing as you walk in. I noticed the men's room was more of needing of cleaning with the trash being overfilled and almost falling off the trash. But the staff was friendly and made sure that I had what I need as well as made sure my meal was good enough to obtain. I chose the big sky burger which is new I give it two thumbs up and was really filling within the meal. Overall I would go back to the exact steakhouse in the near future. read more

Longhorn relies on the neighboring restaurants to bring them beverages such as sodas and alcoholics. Takes 1 hour for beverages and appetizers to be made, and two hours to bring us our main courses. The servers pressure us during tip discussions when they sit in booths and play around and not do their job. If you want a good longhorn dinner or lunch, go to a different one. The servers also bring us 3 cups of our sodas when we only asked for one and charge us for them. We had to use our phones flashlights to read the menus, that's how small the letters are and how dark it is in here. Also As soon as you walk in it smells like bleach and fish, this place doesn't even serve fish!!!! They serve us with undercooked meat. read more

I called in a to go order on Friday night, which is busy, for dessert. They put me on hold twice. I got it home and the apple pie dessert was refrigerator cold and the cake was just one big hunk of cake instead of being cut. I warmed the apple dessert up and cut the cake but I feel like when u spend $20 on two desserts they should at least look good and be cooked and boxed properly. The boxes were stacked together and there was some sort of sauce in between them and broccoli on the ice cream containers. It was just careless. read more
