Food is good but I'd suggest new ownership/new higher management to run this location. On a couple different occasions servers mentioned the owners don't like tables ordering kid steak meals/extra plates. And it seems the servers get pressured from management on this and it negatively shows to families with children who come to this location. And if you ask for an extra plate to share all sorts of negative emotions are displayed from servers. This has happened on multiple occasions. With young kids who do not eat much anyway, not sure why this location wants to pick battles with families with kids. All of this doesn't just flow from the servers, it comes from the management/owner(s) who instead of finding a way to balance margins and customer service, they sacrifice customer service for minimal margin gain by directing their staff and probably reprimanding them for these kinds of situations. We have visited multiple other longhorns over the years and this is the only one that displays a noticeable stinginess and negative attitude with extra plates and kid's meal orders. All other longhorns have provided excellent service when we order the same thing at any other longhorn we go to and have no complaints; the Salisbury location however today decided to seemingly cut one of our kids meal steaks in half and serve one steak as two on separate kids meals. Our server today was sweet and very nice until we ordered, then a noticeable shift took place in the tone and atmosphere, and the staff seemed to try and "get back" at us by providing us with the tiniest steaks possible, literally half the size of a normal kid's steak we have ever received in the years we have been going to Longhorn and getting kids meals. With 3 young kids all over 2 years old present; ordering 2 kids meals and an extra plate with our family of 5 should not be met with this kind of disgruntlement from staff. This kind of stinginess flows from the higher ups at this location and it shows. And of all the days to deliver a passive aggressive retaliation on kids meals to my kids, they chose Father's Day. We will not be returning to this location as it is not family friendly. So now, losing customers over this pettiness doesn't seem so good for the margins anymore does it? read more

We did an order pickup after visiting the N.C. transportation museum. Figured it would be a good stop before checking into our airbnb. The service was fast - took only about 30 minutes on a Saturday night. When we arrived we waited in order check in for about 10 minutes before going inside ourselves to just grab the order: whatever. Not a make or break bc we were sure they were busy. When we got back and unpacked our order it was clear the steaks were completely charred. (Ordered medium rare). I could barely cut my ribeye (doubtful it was a ribeye- the texture alone was completely off). The mashed potato's were clearly some type of powdered mess, but at least they were tolerable. $26 for this. Wow. My husbands baked potato wasn't even thoroughly cooked. His steak (sirloin) was also charred and no seasoning at all. Would not recommend. read more

Went for lunch on 2/8/26 and was seated right away, waitress came and took our appetizer and drink order by 12:26. It was not very busy but she disappeared. A larger table had 6 people seated about 10 minutes after we were seated. Their waiter took their order and they had their food before we received our drink and appetizer. I asked to speak to manager and he came over. He listened, and apologized and said he would have another wait person to take care of us and went to the kitchen. He never returned, no wait person returned, after waiting for 30 minutes, someone brought our soup and salad they left and no one ever returned to check on us for refills, dessert or to give us our bill. I scanned the barcode on table, paid our bill and left. The manager did offer to comp our bill and I declined that, as it was about the poor service and not getting a free lunch. I was shocked that after I made my complaint, service got worse and I did not think that was possible, but they were able to prove poor service is their standard. read more

As with seemingly everything in Salisbury, the experience here was just okay. Everything in the town seems to be missing a little something and this was no exception. Our service was okay: slow but friendly. The server didn't offer bread and we had to flag her down to get another beer even though we were setting at the bar - but she was friendly when we got her. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for lunch. I hadn't been to a Longhorn in probably a decade so I don't know if it's just lunch prices or if they are this reasonably priced all the time, but I was happily surprised and will be back based on that alone I think. I've been to this location several times and have never had any issues, unfortunately that wasn't the case this time. I ordered a 9oz steak, my mother ordered a 6oz, when the lady who I'm assuming is a food runner brought out our plates I politely asked her if my steak was 9 ounces because it looked about the same size as my mothers 6oz and she replied in an incredibly snarky tone saying, "I bring out whatever you order so what's infront of you is what you ordered" and the she just rudely walked off. I cut into my steak and it was raw, I order medium rare every single time and hardly ever send back food, when I told our waiter (who I feel bad for, he was incredibly nice and he had to run around extra because of everything) he noted that it looked "really bad" that's how raw it was, no biggie I let him take it back to be cooked properly and the same lady brought the steak back to my table and said something else in a rude tone, I didn't catch what she said but I sure did hear how she said it. The steak had not been fixed, they simply heated the specific area I cut into, when I cut it completely in half it looked the exact same as it did when it was first taken back. The waiter (again I cannot stress this enough, he did nothing wrong and was very patient and understanding) ended up getting me a whole new one that I took to go, he brought it to me and had me check that it was cooked right and it was perfectly fine the second time. My issue is with the lady who ran the food out, she was INCREDIBLY rude, I have never written a negative review before and never really found it worth it but this lady was so incredibly unprofessional and someone in management needs to address that and shut that behavior down. She looked to be of a more "mature" age, had grayish/salt and pepper hair, a lot of ear jewelry (mostly in gold) and thick rimmed black glasses in a bit of a Cat eye type style. 5/10/25 130pm ish. Walked in with 6 people and the squad of up front lost their minds. They couldn't figure out what to do they just kept walking back and forth mumbling gibberish to each other. Needless to say it was down hill from there. Waitress did a decent job even while her colleagues were sabotaging her. Got called a dawg, I'm no one's dawg in there. My husband ordered the strip med/rare. It came out burnt on the outside. Not good. They didn't bring out salads out until we asked for them and our entrée had been served. Our server just said oh, I forgot about them. My strawberry pecan salad didn't have pecans on it. My husband's salad was swimming in dressing. My potato was so cold that the butter didn't even melt. I had not previously been to this LongHorn, but had a lunch there this week. One of the guys I met there had ordered a wing appetizer. I had one and it was very good. That alone would be a solid lunch. I ordered a chicken caesar salad, and it was really good. The only thing I would have wished for was some kind of real caesar dressing. The salad itself was loaded with shaved cheese and good croutons and the chicken portion was fine. The dressing was decent, but not great and didn't taste house made. I work as a full time cashier / Togo at Blue Bay . So I 100% understand the customer service . But tonight was the first time I've ever felt like I was treated so poorly . I called 6 times to place a Togo order , I was redirected twice and hung up on 6 times . My mind was really set on it so drove over to place my order . We had to drive to Salisbury from CLT as a halfway point to meet some friends for an early dinner that we had not seen in a while. Our waitress was new and she said that it was her first week. Danielle was super bubbly and nice, also checked on us every moment she could and even invited us back because she wanted frequent guests. Her hospitality was on point! I feel like chain restaurants in CLT you don't really get that kind of service *shrugs*. Not all the servers in the restaurant had on masks since the mandate is lifted. Their seafood dishes come with 2 sides and a salad and steak/lamb with 1 side and salad. I had the lamb which was great, baked potato, and a house salad not pictured. They have the best croutons in the world! My hubs had the ribeye with their brussel sprouts and sweet potato. Let me tell you those honey butter brussel sprouts were to die for.... Hmm - parking lot is completely empty - restaurant is almost empty - went in to get a table and told 20 minute wait. Just a bad sign overall. No one trying to eat here. Place not trying to serve anyone. I know places are under staffed and sometimes they don't want more tables then they can handle but that would require that your restaurant had hit a certain level of busy - I definitely don't want to eat at a place people have already voted the parking lot empty. I would say find a different place to eat - another location for this chain or Texas Roadhouse a mile away. This location isn't making it happen at the moment. read more

We had ordered Fries from The Salisbury location numerous times. So my wife And I decided to go out the the restaurant to actually sit down and eat there. We arrived @6:25pm and it was busy. The Young boy @ the desk asked for our names and the phone number, we gave our name but we were hesitant to give our Phone number being we sat next to the podium waiting inside and could hear the call out when the table was ready. We sat there if about 1/2 hour and still no seating, asked and they said it should be soon. We waiting until 7:43 and still no seating and we see other folks being seated that had walked in after us. My wife went up to the podium and asked for our seat and the young boy looked confused and said he would get a manager. The manager came up and was very confrontational and said because we never gave out phone number we were not seated. We asked to be seated at that point and the manager who was black said you should leave!!! Which we did. We were white folks and I guess not his kind of people. We have never been treated so badly by a manager who lacks any type of decorum or manger skills. We plan on going further with this, so stay tuned to the bad review posts. Been to Longhorn twice lately trying to eat . Tonight we wanted to sit at the bar but couldn't get a seat . Were seated at a high top in the bar area . Sat for 5 minutes with no one greeting us or asking for service. Then come to find out that the waiter had walked by us several times. Now if they were busy I could understand but they was not busy. I find that inexcusable just walk by customers and not greet them. Even after getting our food the waiter came by one time once.
