Id like to start by saying, the service is amazing! my server was "T" and she was so sweet and personable. Right off the bat she came up and was very energetic and made us feel so welcomed, she took our order quick and brought our bread out nice and hot from the oven. From the moment we were sat in her section to the very end of the meal she had amazing customer service. Give that girl a raise Secondly, The food was a 10/10! The Grilled Chicken and Strawberry salad had the perfect amount of dressing and the corn I ordered for my side was so tasty. The French Onion and Loaded Baked Potato soup both were delicious and definitely worth getting! I called to order at 9:15 PM, and online it says that I can order until 9:40 PM. The young lady that answered the phone was not helpful and said that the only way she could take my order was if she swiped a card and she didn't have a card at this moment. What messages is that sending to a customer who is trying to spend money at your establishment. Before going to Longhorn, I realized it had been about 9 years since I wrote my review, and that an update would not be a bad idea. I was, at first, apprehensive, when I saw that most of the reviews over the past 9 months were very low. Then I realized that the very small number of reviews paled in comparison to the total number of people who had dined there over those 9 months - very likely a sign of not being dissatisfied. Seeing the restaurant at near capacity on a Thursday night re-enforced that. Actually, this was for me an even better experience. My party of 4 had a very enjoyable experience with no problems at all. Food and drink came out quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive. We all ordered some form of steak, and every order was done exactly as requested. My Longhorn Old Fashioned was made well and strong. The salads were large, the side vegetables were fresh and nicely seasoned. Yes, it's a chain, but in my opinion a better chain and certainly one at which steak dinners will be done right. read more

Some may feel the Longhorn has already had its day in the sun, but I found myself in heavy traffic on 495 and decided to veer off for dinner in Tewksbury. I haven't been in years, but I enjoyed my quick dinner stop. It was before 5 pm on a Wednesday but the restaurant bar was hopping. I was seated in the dining room, which began filling up. Christmas country music spilled from the sound system and set a pleasant holiday vibe. It's nice that the complimentary loaf of bread and whipped butter is still offered. So many restaurants have done away with bread, or worse, begun charging. It's nice that Longhorn gives a little extra in these inflationary times. I ordered a garden salad with salmon, perfectly grilled and sitting atop the crunchy greens. Portion was very large and I didn't finish all my veggies. My young waiter was attentive and friendly. The fries were extra salty. -1 salmon and shrimp with mashed and asparagus. This was quite the experience, mostly because of our server Addison. Not sure if that's the spelling but he was a riot. If every server can have his humor and candid attitude it'll be a great experience everywhere I eat. It's a nice establishment plenty of seating very clean, the service is impeccable. The food was really good I couldn't even finish my ribs. My niece had the steak tips for me they were obituary she got the medium well. My dad had some glazed chicken which he raved about. So all in all pretty good and for all full meals and a beer only cost me $85. read more

Got to the restaurant about 8:30 and sat at the bar. There was one other customer and no bartender to be seen. A while later a bartender emerges for the kitchen area that had a group of employees being very loud and playing around. I ordered a beer, asked for a menu and ordered a French onion soup and steak. She delivered the bread and soup over my shoulder without saying excuse me and she almost dropped both of them on me because i was not aware she saw there. The soup came out and it was warm at best, and the cheese was not melted at all. It looked like they drop a glob of cheese on the soup and hoped for the best. looked for her to say something but she was in the back eating and talking to staff. Never came to check on drinks or soup. When she finally emerged again i asked to cancel my steak and to have the bill. Never asking about the soup I didn't eat. She noticed I didn't eat it and took it off the bill without even asking why I didn't eat it. I had to tell her it was cold she then asked if I wanted a hot one to go. i respectfully declined. My thought is if you serve that mediocre quality when I'm at the restaurant what are you going to pack to go?!?! Not a manager or anybody in sight or acknowledged. It not the bartender's fault, it's the ownership and management. If you don't supervise the staff and train them to succeed its on ownership. Now a days with the internet you can learn to cook anything. My son and I came here for dinner on a Friday night and had to wait for about 15 mins as the restaurant was full, which we took to be a good sign. We weren't disappointed. We ordered the stuffed mussels to share as a starter and each of us had the 12 oz ribeye. If there were a way to give two different star ratings I would. The servers for both visits did an excellent job. The food varied incredibly. In a past visit I got the parmesean crusted chicken and ribs combo. It was excellent. Every bit of that meal was absolutely delicious. Wife ordered a steak and it was cooked improperly. Their second attempt was dead on perfect and she told me at the time it was good. Now for the visit we had last night. There were four of us. The salads were great. The house dressing was a white balsamic and it was really good. Two of us got the steak tips. They are beyond terrible. The quality of the meat cuts was really bad. Definitely not sirloin and nowhere on the menu does it say sirloin so at least they aren't lying. They were cooked anywhere from VERY rare/raw to well done. Each tip was cooked differently than the last. I had to spit out one tip as it was inedible(gristle?). My wife had to spit out two of them. The marinade they were in was good. The mashed potatos I ordered were good but nothing to write home about. One person got the Renegade SIrloin and the other got the NY strip. Both said their steaks were excellent. They were cooked to the correct temp. The sirloin was ordered medium rare and was a little bit on the rare side but good enough. So most of the food we've gotten from this place has been good. Definitely DON'T order the Steak Tips. Your local sub shop can do the same quality(or better) tips for cheaper. They should really just take that item off the menu. If I hadn't had that previous visit and know they can do food better I would never come back just based last night's experience. WORST EXPERIENCE IN A DECADE! I've eaten here 50 times or more. Some were great, some mediocre, and a few not so good. But today was horrendous. I ordered ribs and my friend ordered a burger with broccoli. When the ribs arrived, you couldn't cut them they were so hard. Bartender offered to redo them but then comes back to say the chef said those ribs were all part of the same lot and if she redid them, they probably wouldn't be any better. So, with my friend already half done with her lunch, I passed on redoing them or ordering anything else. The manager comes over and is appropriately apologetic and asks if she can do anything for us. My friend tells her that while she hates to complain, the broccoli came out cold. Not hard to tell, because the butter wouldn't melt on it. So, the manager says she feels the need to do something for us and she gives us a bill which takes off the ribs and she says she's "gives us credit for the broccoli." Except, when you look at the bill, there is no actual credit. When questioned, we're told that's because they charge $14.95 for the burger and the side is free. Therefore, the credit for the side was $0.00. Unbelievable that that's the way she handled it. In the end, we had a miserable experience and paid $22.00 +$5 tip for two badly prepared meals and two sodas. Everyone has an off day, but this couldn't have been handled any worse from the kitchen to the management. read more

I'm gonna go backwards with this review. Food was good. We all got loaded baked potatoes which barely had the toppings on it. All of the temps on our steaks were just what we asked for. We were walking to our table and my dad was joking around with the hostess and she just said "absolutely not" in a disgusted tone like she didn't want to be there. Wow. So my mother told me about a week ago, that she'd like to go to Longhorn's on Mother's Day. I then called Longhorn's to make a reservation. They told me they only make reservations the day of and that I should call back on Mother's Day as soon as they open and then make my reservation. It sounded good to me, so I set a reminder on my phone and as requested, I called them as soon as they opened. However, I was now told that they don't do reservations, that I was "misinformed" as it's a call ahead waitlist and I need to call a half hour before I want to come in and see if they have any availability. This sucks because had I not taken their word around their "reservation policy" a week ago, I would have had an opportunity to make plans elsewhere. Now, I am stuck without any reservations and run the risk of not having a place to take my wife and mother tonight. read more

Food was great. MY server, Cody, was great. However, i happened to witness a young woman waiting other tables digging for treasure in her panties. She went front and back a number of times at the waitress station in the middle of the dining room. I couldn't finish my steak. I couldn't help but stare as she walked (WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS) to serve bread to another table as if her fingers weren't dirty. At the same table, she began fixing her hair over the poor elderly couple eating their now tainted bread. We ate at the Longhorn last night in Tewksbury. They could not make a drink that we ordered due to being out of a certain liquor. we were disappointed but OK with it, but when we ordered coffee at the end of our meal we were told they were out of coffee. I have never heard of a restaurant running out of coffee. On two separate occasions, we have found one of the greeters there to be rude and abrupt. This review is being written specifically for the 'call ahead, wait in your car' process. We called at 2pm to ask if they were taking reservations, they said no - it's a call-ahead system, give them a call 15 minutes before you will arrive and they will have a table for you, so that's what we did at 4:40pm today. We put our name in for a table of 8, we were told to park, wait in your car, we will get a text when our table is ready, it will be 45 mins. We got a confirmation text at 4:41pm telling me the wait would be 60-70mins so I called Kaitlyn back and asked which time frame was correct, she said her guesstimate of 45mjns was correct, wait in the car and we'll get a text letting us know it's our time. It's now 5:52pm and we haven't heard anything. The crowd outside has come and gone. My dad went in to find out what's going on and we're not in the queue for a table.
