Unfortunately one food preparer standing front in center at the food station did not wear a mask and had worn a face shield pointed in the wrong direction so she was breathing directly into the food she was handling. The cashiers wore masks but kept taking them off to answer the phone and kept touching the register, phone, pens, money, credit cards, while also touching the baskets and the paper that your food goes on. Even in pre-Covid days, this is not sanitary. Food was plenty and price very affordable. What we ordered for 4 could have easily fed 6. Brisket was tender and tasty. Beans were nice and smoky. But corn bread was dry, both the cole slaw and pulled pork was too sweet, and the wings tasted like they were injected with pure salt. read more

Worst customer service We've ever experienced!!!!! We just came in after seeing the huge neon sign advertising COLD BEER! As soon as we were inquiring about beer, the young girl at the register seemed very unknowable or perhaps unwilling to want to serve us beer. We got 2 Ultra bottles that were very warm. My husband took mine back up and asked if they had anything colder. He also asked "again" for my ice water, that he didn't receive when he ordered. The girl pointed at the register and said the cups are over there. So I got my ice water, he had 2 warm Ultras. Then I saw a "White Claw" sign behind the counter. He asked if they had anything colder or those, but they don't carry them and they had nothing colder. He ordered me a draft beer, hoping it would be colder. It was warmer than the bottles. He took it back up, because I was furious at this point! They did nothing for us! The smoked wings were dry and not good at all! He asked for a to go box and they pointed at them on them counter. He had to get it himself. I think every employee came out to look at us at this point. We've NEVER been treated with such disrespect before! It was humiliating and not deserving one little bit! Was really hoping this place would get better but they just have not. Lots of young kids working and they have zero communication skills. Food was dry and border line cold. We ordered the 2 person platter and our portions were slim. Actually embarrassing for Lonny Boys to serve us such small pieces of meat. I am always excited to try BBQ. Love to see what combinations of side restaurants have. Lonny Boy's had alot of the positives of BBQ that I look for. I look for tenderness, option to have sauce on the side, taste of ribs with dry rub and options for sides. I shared a full rack of ribs and 4 sides with my daughter. I was very happy that all their meat was GLUTEN FREE! The ribs weren't burnt (like Ive had at Other BBQ places) and they weren't fall off the bone ribs either. They had a nice dry rub without sauce and had great flavor. Not spicy. The ribs were super tender but again not fall off the bone tender which is how ribs should be. I did like the ribs without the sauce better than with the sauce. We got the Dill Potato Salad, mashed potatoes, baked beans and coleslaw. Now for the sides... I am a huge coleslaw fan and this place is so far MY FAVORITE out of any BBQ place I've tried. It's not vinegary but creamy and sweet. My kids loved it as well. The baked beans were super hot (temperature) and I didn't realize that when I went to eat them and almost burnt my mouth but spit them out super fast. Gross I know. The dill potato salad was pretty legit as well. Just a slight bit saltier than I like for a potato salad. The mashed potatoes were really good and everyone loved them. Last, the fries my other daughter and everyone else had. Everyone said they were way too salty. ORDER FRIES WITH NO SALT if you're able to. Great find for our time in Hurricane UT. It's a walk up and order at the counter type place and then the food is brought to you. I had the brisket which I found to be sort of dry but their bbq sauce was tasty. My dining mates at the pulled pork which they enjoyed. I appreciated the long list of side options. We found this place on Yelp and the menu seemed interesting. The decor was fun as well. You enter the front door and walk toward the back of the room to order your food at the counter and pay. You then either take a number attached to your order, or they just bring it out to you if they are not busy (like today). They have fountain drinks, bottled soda, or beer to drink. There is also a BBQ sauce bar where you can choose from a variety of sauces, and you can pick up some honey butter for your corn bread also. We ordered one of their daily specials which included a turkey sandwich with one side dish and a drink. My husband chose maccaroni and cheese as his side. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with a side hush puppies. The turkey was very moist and flavorful. The brisket was pull apart soft but a bit dry. The hush puppies had a sweetness to them and I thought the honey butter went well with them. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and tasted good also. This is a good local BBQ spot. Though it's probably the only BBQ joint in this town. We ordered rips, beef brisket with rice and mashed potatoes and an order of wings. The wings were good. They gave us an extra wing because they were a little smaller in size. The brisket was a little mushier than I'm used to. The rice was also a little too soft than my liking. I gotta say that the mashed potatoes was too salty, almost to the point of inedible for us. We also ordered fries and mac and cheese for our kid, which turned out OK. The cashiers can use more smile while helping customers, but she was knowledgeable and didn't make any mistake on our order. The food runners looks happier than the cashier. The decor were unique. Although I was a bit disappointed with the customer service, the food was really good. I ordered ribs which were really good, it came with cornbread and I got a side of fries and tried the coleslaw. We also ordered a kids meal, which only came with TWO tiny chicken tenders. That was funny to look at. The only real issue I had was with the service, the service seemed rushed. Lots of good sides--macaroni and cheese, salad bar (!), baked beans, coleslaw, garlic red potatoes, macaroni salad, etc. They also have corn bread with honey butter, free mini ice cream cones, several sauces and drinks. Came here on a recommendation from my mother in law who raved about the collards! Loved the decor as we walked in and liked that it was a quieter place (might've been the time of night). We both enjoyed our pulled pork and loved the sauces.. highly suggest asking for the Carolina BBq and the Bama White Sauce. Their normal bbq was good as well. Visited from Vegas for a off road Bronco event held in their parking lot. I personally ordered the wings, half sweet half spicy and they were delicious with a side of French fries. My fiance ordered the 2 meat plate consisting of pork, chicken, mac n cheese & absolutely loved the mashed potatoes, & devoured his entire plate. Our friends ordered the Famous Hush Puppies and we highly recommend them! The only complaint was the blonde girl at the register & the Hispanic girl with heavy makeup who served our food, & no one in our group was fond of the corn bread today. Both girls you could easily tell they did NOT want to be here & were annoyed when we asked them simple questions like directions to the bathroom or what they recommended to eat. Final Rating is based solely on customer service. When we arrived there was a long line at the register to order. The line was to the door, but it was no rush for us since it was a Saturday. We waited for a ridiculous amount of time for a order and go counter. The food gets delivered to the tables, so we had no idea why the line took so long. Well we found out when we got to the register. The cashier that was taking orders absolutely did not want to be there. She was rude. We already knew our order and did not take up too much time telling her what we needed so it could be wrung up faster. At one point she stopped listening to us, calls another girl and asks "is someone coming up here to switch me out?" Then she walked away not even giving us our receipt or drinks. Leaving that to the next girl that took over. I hope she's related to someone that owns the business because she should be fired. The entire place is staffed with high school students who are all doing the bare minimum. There is no organization or order. Us and other patrons had to keep going to the counter to ask for utensils, sauces, napkins. Basic things that need to be refilled in a restaurant. Management needs to get this place organized instead of having each employee guess what they should do next The food was all delicious. We ordered the thunderbird fries. They offer a half or full order, which is not shown on their menu. We probably won't be going back for a while. Trying to find a place to eat on a Friday night around 6:00 with a group of eleven can be challenging. Lucky for us, Lonny Boy's Barbeque was ready and willing to feed this hungry bunch! We were all visiting from out of town and stumbled across this place as we were driving through town. There didn't appear to be much of a wait, so we hopped in line and ordered our food. There was much of what you'd expect from a BBQ place-pulled pork, smoked brisket, etc. But the fried cauliflower caught my attention and I had to give it a try. It was surprisingly good! The salad bar is a little lacking, but the pulled pork sandwich was fantastic. Generous amount of meat and you get to add sauce yourself from the counter. While we were eating, the owner/manager stopped by to visit and chatted with us for a bit. He is a genuinely nice guy and we could tell that he puts a great deal of effort into his business. This place seems like a tourist trap. Giving it two stars for customer service because the staff was super friendly. We ordered a pickup order after a long day of driving to eat back at our hotel. The line was out the door (for reasons I don't understand after trying the food) and I went to the pickup counter where the staff told me I had to wait in the line to pick up my order since it hadn't been paid for yet. I was waiting in the back of the line for 5 minutes when he came to the back and said "I feel really bad that you have to wait so my manager is going to ring you up on the side and we'll get your order ready for you" such a nice kid and great customer service! As for the food, we ordered the ribs and brisket and there's no other way to describe it except inedible. I'm not a picky person at all, and can pretty much eat ribs 24/7 if given the option lol. Unfortunately the ribs were super fatty and no bbq sauce on them, super chewy and hard to bite through. My bf got the brisket and said it was similar. Hate to give bad review for this place due to the kind staff but if you're traveling after a long day and looking for a delicious meal, I'd try somewhere else first.
