I'm surprised by the negative reviews ... As we walked in we expected over priced, we were dining at a resort restaurant after all. Our waitress was extreamlly friendly, our daughter was cranky from being tired and hungry. Our waitress was really nice about it & ended up helping my daughter feel better by letting her pick her own drink and so on. They had fajitas on the grill which was yummy, and I talked to one of the chefs and learned that great wolf takes care of their employees (at least on the chefs end). We all ate well, and they ended up not charging us for our daughters meal! read more

The breakfast is underwhelming with all of their scrambled eggs being runny to the point of not being edible. They never have enough bacon made, typically only 2 pans that are swarmed and gone the moment it drops. The dinner portion is better, the Christmas dinner was a good. Overall the staff seem overwhelmed and the wait times are what they are. It should be said that they ensure they accommodate and feed everyone regardless of hours of operation in relation to the long wait times. read more

We were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast buffet. The food was very good. The selection was amazing... pancakes, French toast, waffles, biscuits, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, potatoes, hash rounds, cereal, milk, yogurt, muffins, cinnamon rolls, omelets, bacon, sausage.... Every breakfast food you could think of was offered. WOW! The price wasn't too bad either (considering you are at a resort). The kids buffet price is cheaper than the adult price and we were thankful for that. read more

LOVE IT!! Especially breakfast with Ms Lucy our server! She was phenomenal. Attentive but not in our face which is exactly what I need when it's early and there is a lot going on. There was no wait, the food was good and nothing was "out". Honestly tho it was the service that kept me from just doing cereal with the kids in the room. This was the first time to a Greatwolf property and of course eating at the hotel is part of the experience. The reviews had me a little nervous about price and what to expect but it's a theme park resturant so I feel like the price was fair and with the service we got each morning it made it more than worth it. It was my daughter's birthday so we let her pick where we ate while we were here. We had dinner there as well and it was good but she always wanted to eat breakfast with Mrs Lucy. Terrible service. Sign clearly says you need shoes and shirt. Tons of people walking around without shoes. Staff doesn't care. Disgusting.

It's awful that they don't let you know that things are a certain way before you pay all the money. We weren't informed that reservations has to be made to eat in the resort we are paying for. and to add is extremely pricey, only way to fully enjoy the full experience is if you have a few hundred thousand you are just willing to throw away. the only thing that we were able to do with ease and not pay an excessive amount of money are the pools and i could go that back home, this is supposed to be a good vacation. the arcade is so over priced and the actual games are so many points. you would have to spend probably about a good hundred thousand for a good amount of time to play. this is very upsetting to see a young child not to fully enjoy the time because it's just a place to dump money. read more

The food is not worth the cost of this, with very little food options and basically no healthy options, aside from one omelet making station. The fruit selection is subpar and the staff serving the food could use a course in efficiency and even politeness. I literally witnessed one throw a cereal box/bowl on the tray for a lady in front of me. Reservations are not told as mandatory until you are there and then once you are there, they barely have any available. Younger kids eat early and to not open until 8am is not great for the families that you welcome as guests. read more

We have come here for yrs. With covid, I understand they are taking precautions. Now you have to stay in line and get served, but it takes along time, the straws are now cardboard, so we needed extra bc they kept getting soft. You don't get your money worth at all!! We have been to great wolf lodge in grapevine to several times. We have always enjoyed our trips there. I know many people do. However this last trip visiting there has turned out to be a nightmare. I paid for my room in advance. But after checkin ,they charged me $999.99 for the room. During the night at around 3:00 I was charged $1244.80. When I talked to kyra at great wolf lodge the next day after I saw the charge, she explained what happened. There was just a mistake in the system that caused the charges and she was happy to help me with my refund. She said it would take a few days to get it back and if I didn't get it back to call her. I did receive a refund but it was only the charges that I had actually made. Which was only about $500. She put me on hold to check on the problem and never came back. Since then I have been transferred many times to different people and was disconnected twice. I was transferred to the front desk again and I asked to speak to the manager and she hung up on me! I am in the process of filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Hopefully they will help me. So watch your account if you decide to go!! And good luck getting it back if this happens to you. read more

Food is great, but the menu never changes. We were ther 5 days and it was always the same thing. A little variety would make it nicer.

I don't know how someone can screw breakfast up so badly. It was gross. They served powdered eggs, and the potatoes were undercooked and covered is some disgusting spice combination, biscuits were hard and flavorless, and the bacon was burnt. No fruit anywhere to be seen. For 18 bucks per person I expected a lot more than that. read more

For breakfast, I had the buffet. On my first round average hashbrowns and standard scrambled egg from the yellow goop mix eggs. On my second trip to the the buffet, I noted roaches crawling around the fresh cut fruit. The pineapple looked fresh enough but my appetite was completely ruined. I alerted a few members of the waitstaff and a waitress informed me that if a roach is seen, the staff is instructed to write it down but nothing else happened. No cleaning of the area and no close-down of the buffet or veggie bar. read more

Ok, first of all, you have to be both over priced and quality of food lacking to get a 1 star from me. Having said that, each year we come to this resort, and each year we eat breakfast here, and each year there is something that is disappointing, if not many items. I mean, how much can you mess up breakfast? Did bacon wrong, like its been swimming in old grease forever. Biscuits and gravy, gravy tastes strange, like too much butter or cream or something has been added, and biscuits, hard. Lastly my omelet was swimming in grease, I mean like a 1/4 inch of grease. That's basically 3 times I have been to this buffet and 3 times I regret going. I have no choice but to give this a single star. :( read more

You guys...$69 for powdered scrambled eggs, greasy/rancid tasting bacon and oily omelets? Granted, I have a family of 5, but my 10 yr old ate a banana dipped in chocolate pudding and it set me back about $10. There's tons of dry refined carbs--waffles, biscuits, etc. My husband said the front reception was ridiculous--long wait, people cutting in line. Our server was wonderful both times we've stayed here and the characters come visit your table. If your kids want to meet the big,furry wolves it may be worth the expense. However, there are two good breakfast options 5 minutes away which I'd recommend if you want better quality food. read more

This was the worst food ever, the worst food in Texas!! The meat was fatty, the corn was mushy and chalky, the veggies had no flavor..tasted like water, the desserts were stale, the only decent food was the fruit. Was there for dinner & food was horrible although service was good. Don't feel it is worth $20/adult buffet but, like others have said here, it's resort pricing. Only positive was the convenience of it being there in the hotel & even more convenient since we got there around 7pm making it in time for story time right outside the restaurant. You are paying for convenience and not quality. The food is average for a mass produced breakfast buffet. It is overpriced for the quality and volume, a family of four is looking at $55 plus a tip. The staff is polite and engaging. There is a buffet line that is lowered for kids to serve themselves. We had a couple characters even visit the table. Bottom line: Go there on your full day in water park day. Eat your $50 in food and work it off in the water. Otherwise, plenty of options nearby. read more

breakfast buffet was OK. the french toast stinks, but the eggs/hashbrowns/gravy, etc were pretty good and ran about $15/pp that being said, i would UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES do the evening buffet again. abt $22/pp but the food was atrocious. everything lacked salt (and i never put salt on anything). Imagine chewing on a wet piece of cardboard. NO JOKE! that was how i felt eating this garbage. I will say the best flavored thing I had that evening was the banana.. no, not pudding.. .just plain old banana. all joking aside, there are some very good dining experiences within a 5-10 minute drive. I would highly advise in investigating those options. you won't be as disappointed if you eat here! read more

By far the worst food the kids and I ever ate. We had dinner which was $22 a person. If you ask me I wouldn't eat there again if they gave me $22. The boiled shrimp was actually frozen and thawed out in water in a plastic container in a sink behind the serving line. The shrimp lacked any flavor whatsoever. The beef brisket was cold and flavorless and felt like chewing cardboard. Almost everything was cold and flavorless. The fresh fruit and the salad was good. My son liked the corn dogs. I'm pretty sure they were the frozen state fair corn dogs that you can buy at any food store. read more

Came here for breakfast on July 4th out of convenience. We arrived pretty late almost 10 (it closes at 11, then open again for dinner) because the kids wanted to finish their MagiQuest. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, and then waited in line to go through the buffet line. The food was fresh due to the high turn over. Lots of choices: fruits, pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, potatoes, hash brown, make your own breakfast taco bar, muffins and pastries, cereal, and make to order omelette, and more. Though there was a long line, the made to order omelette was delicious and well worth the wait. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet more than the dinner buffet. Imagine a buffet stocked with dry, over cooked food, a staff bringing drinks occasionally who all wish they could be somewhere else, and then charging adults $30 for this. That's what the Loose Moose Cottage inside Great Wolf Lodge is all about. All of the meat was dry and lacking in flavor. The pizza, chicken nuggets, and corn dogs for the kids were overcooked and hard as a rock. The breads looked good, but were stale. The sodas, which they have to serve to you, were all lacking in any carbonation. When we pointed that out to our server, he looked frustrated and said, "So, you want me to go to the back and get new ones?" For $30, YES! To their credit, the vegetables were OK, but absolutely not for what they want to charge. Do yourself a favor. Fire up Yelp and head into Grapevine where you have much better options at more realistic prices. Heck, there must be a Golden Corral near there which would offer a better buffet at a price you'd expect, not one that totally takes advantage of a somewhat captive visitor. read more
